Steel Trooper
The Steel Trooper is the most human-looking of all the robots, and uses the utility of the human form to its utmost. Although humanoid in general appearance, the Steel Trooper stands eight feet (2.4 m) tall and is made of metal and armor plating. Their human size means the robot can enter buildings, walk down hallways, travel through openings designed for humans,
as well as use equipment and supplies originally designed for human users. This flexibility and their vast numbers means that it is the Steel Troopers that are the most commonly encountered of all the robots. However, these robots ' deliberate human appearance is meant to mock the human survivors as much as anything else. Unlike other robots, the Steel Troopers don't have any built-in weapon systems, but are assigned an M.D. handgun and rifle. Additionally, their hands and fmgers are small enough to use most human weapons and tools, and may collect a number of weapons in the field, much like the Necroborgs, to use against the enemy, including their own. Steel Troopers were once manufactured in the billions and are the mainstay of the Machine' s robot military infantry and work force. They are found everywhere, assisting with robot repairs, working in the industrial centers, hauling cargo, constructing buildings, preforming maintenance, collecting salvage, exploring and charting ruins and wilderness, among other chores, but are first and foremost, the Machine' s main front-line infantry. As the prime military unit, Steel Troopers participate in every major military campaign, siege and mass troop operation (representing 50-65% of the overall force). They are also frequently encountered in small squads ( 1d4+4, often accompanied by 1d6 other hunter-killer type robots and/or drones) on patrols, reconnaissance, salvage operations or human extermination missions. As a result, it is the image of the Steel Trooper, more than any other robot design, that represents the tyranny, oppression and domination of the Machine over humanity.

Thanks for the read-out! Our characters know this too?

Pretty much. It is common knowledge for anyone with Machine Lore, or someone that is facing off against the Machine on a regular basis.

Sherwood Sherwood One more question - about how much Mega-damage do the Steel Troopers' rifles have?

Handguns have 35 M.D.C. - Rifles have 80 M.D.C. - Rail Guns and other large weapons have 100 M.D.C., but are only damaged when an attacker is specifically targeting the weapon for the purpose of destroying it (rather than disarming an opponent).

Thanks for the info!

Ack. I was going to have Chaska go after their rail guns and rifles when I realized... "Oh wait. This is Palladium '2nd Edition.' Called Shots take two Actions instead of one as they did years ago." That makes my strategy too "Action-expensive." Guess he's going after the 'bots themselves. =)

Thanks for the Well-written, Eon! =)

Sherwood Sherwood Chaska's Dodge modifier is currently +19 (his maximum). =)

Hit Points 27 + 18 = 45
M.D.C. for Mantis Blades 7x10 = 70
Hive M.D.C. 162 + 15 because over 200 bugs = 177
Just realized I need to roll these...
Ignore the 1 at the end of the first one that was an accident extra roll

Still a WIP a little but posted the Profile! I'll respond to the combat in a bit when I'm settled, and I'll ask questions if I'm confused about anything!

Okay...So if I am reading this all right I think I can send a command to 40 of my Locusts to attack (2 Melee actions) a robot (Can the command be to attack more then one robot or does it have to be a specific target with each command?)
I can send another 40 of my locusts at another target (Another 2 Melee actions)
Then I have a spare 2 actions that I can use to do 2 short bursts at someone as well?
I have 6 Attacks if I did my character sheet right lmk if this is completely off or sounds about right😅

May I make a suggestion? One neat advantage you have as a Swarm Lord is that you can have area of effect attacks with swarms of either Fireflies or Flybys. You unleash them, and while they attack their target, you engage with either your melee weapons or your Thud Rifle and start picking off other foes. If you stick to single targets, your Stingers are going to do the most damage with them, doing +150% of the normal listed damage to a target, so one attack could be used to launch 20 Stingers doing 12d8+6 to a foe for the 1d4+2 melees.

Either way you want to do it, you declare your first action, which in the case of a large swarm, may use 2 or more attacks at once, and then we move on to the next person.

Purr Purr Eonivar Eonivar Psychie Psychie Do you guys have any suggestions for what Celestialbody can do?

Like I said in my IC post, they are shooting wild, so unless I had rolled a critical I didn’t expect any world hit you.
(bold mine) I hope not! Being hit by a planet has gotta hurt! (Auto-correct Strikes Again! Ha ha ha!)

Smartass. lol
Whenever I do this, it's all just a smack against an often annoying Auto-correct and a chance to get smiles out of everybody here. How can a Purr like me resist? =)

The only thing I can say with certainty is - the 6 Actions per Round in Bellamy's Host Armor sounds off. Jeet Kune Do gives 5 , Boxing gives 1. In the Host Armor, Ambidextrous gives another 1. That's 7.

As for the rest of those questions? If you ask me, that's purely Sherwood-territory because he's the one running this game. =)

I missed that with the number of actions. Thank you, Purr.

Sherwood Sherwood You're welcome! How about the rest of Celeste's questions? Only you can answer those, My Good Bud. =)

EDIT: I'm also asking because I'd like to know the answers. Swarm Lords are new to me too! =)

While looking at my book for the Swarm Lord, I see something that I’m not too keen on. The Locust swarm bugs do not attack an area, but compare that to the bug bombs that use Locusts in them and those do have an AoE. I don’t like the fact that the main attack bug for the Swarm Lord seems to be hamstrung like that. So, using my nigh infinite cosmic power, I will say that the Locust swarm has an area of 20 feet plus five feet for every ten Locusts, eating all the metal in that area unless the Splicer in the suit commands them to hit just one foe. Other bugs like the Stinger will still hit only the one machine that they are aimed at. I’ll add this to the post shortly.

But to go back to the questions posed by celestialbody celestialbody , you are right in the fact that for every twenty bugs you command it uses one melee attack. Assuming you had 100 locusts and launched all of them into action, that would use five actions to do so, and they would continue to attack the robots in their area for the next several melee rounds or until they get a return command from a group of Stink Bugs.

So given my new ruling, if you decide to command a group of 40 Locusts they would affect an area if 30 feet and use two melee actions to launch. Then the next time around, you’ll have five of your original seven actions left to decide what to do with.

Also, I believe that celestialbody celestialbody has nine attacks in her Host Armor.

Three from JKD at level one, plus two for level five, Boxing gives +1, another +1 from Ambidexterity, and +2 from Host Armor combat training (+ 1 extra attack/action per melee round, plus those of the pilot, at levels 1, 5, 10 and 15.).

Psychie Psychie Purr Purr and Eonivar Eonivar double check that you guys have added in all your actions for level five. I don’t want anyone to be short on actions.
