Synopsis:
"The year is 2020, superheroes of all kinds, shapes and sizes have started popping up everywhere over the years, groups such, as the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and especially most of all, the Avengers, some people think that these so called heroes are god sent angels of rescue whilst everyone else mostly believe that they are just a plague on our world that invite trouble, ENORMOUS amounts of trouble in the forms of super-villains, man, i'd wish people these days would look at the big picture and see that these guys are not gods or anything, they are just people who want to do the right thing, they're not in it for the fame and fortune, at least i think not, they are just trying to do what feels right to them and that is: helping out others whenever and wherever they can, however they can...my uncle Peter Matthews always tells me that a person can only be judged by the amount of heart they put into their work...boy, he's sure right about that...anyways, i'm digressing, the name's Duncan, Dennis "Duncan" Matthews the 3rd, age 16, i'm a freshman at a high school in Brooklyn, i'm...your average every day to day daily life student, you know, hanging out with friends, studying, playing video games, even more studying, etc, etc...anyways, what i REALLY want to talk about is how my life one day changed all of a sudden, you see, actually, just before i moved here to Brooklyn...my uncle Peter died in an accident, he was working on building a new skyscraper sized building and he saved one of his fellow workers from accidentally falling off the platform...taking the fall himself...my aunt Mary Jane Matthews, MJ for short just completely fell apart after his death and so, wanting to get away from everything that she could remember about uncle Pete, she and me packed up our bags, moved all the way out from Queens to here in Brooklyn, my aunt MJ said that uncle Pete was actually planning to do this beforehand but since he never got the chance to, she decided that by doing this will this be both a fond memory of and farewell to uncle Peter, i mean, i guess i kinda understand where she's coming from but still...that doesn't mean that the pain doesn't go away, in fact, it hurts now more then ever, i...i miss uncle Pete...it was around this time of doom and gloom for me that i decided to accompany my new friend at school, Simon Oz on his offer to sneak out and visit his father's company, Oz Enterprises which dealt in hundreds upon thousands of manufacturing specialties, here we met a fellow student at our school who was called the "gifted prodigy of the year" named Gina Ricardo, she was working part time at Oz Enterprises without Simon knowing and caught us red handed sneaking into the scientifically enhanced animal test subjects department but not before i was bitten by a radioactive Spider that had somehow managed to escape its cage without either Simon or Gina knowing about my little Spider bite, afterwards, for the next few days, me and Simon were only lucky enough to not be expelled from school and placed under house arrest, however, something...started changing in those days that i was off, i felt, sick, almost, as though i was going to puke, suddenly when i sneezed one time, a Spider web came out of my nose! i mean seriously! can you believe that!? using my uncle Peter's old science kit that he gave to me when i was a kid, i was able to study what was happening to me inside my body using a sample of my blood and diagnosing it and it turns out, my DNA had now become half Human...half Spider! to say in layman terms...i became a Spider-Man! at first, as soon, as the thoughts came to mind, i figured i'd play pranks on little miss goody goody two shoes Ricardo for ratting out me and Simon or when the chance came where i could find a loophole to escape from bullies, wanting my lunch money, i took the opportunity and never looked back, i started to feel like i had become someone special in my entire life for the very 1st time ever and then when i was watching TV seeing the Avengers in action, i then decided...to become a superhero myself, i made my own superhero costume and everything that followed after that, thought up of a bunch of different superhero names to call myself until eventually i just stuck with Spider-Man since it sounded cooler among all my other options and so now we're up to the point where i begin my adventure of the life that is the Spider-Man, savior, protector of Brooklyn! please, please, no need for a round of applause, i'm only just doing what i feel is right, however...it wouldn't be too long that i would realize that with being a Spider-Man having advantages, i would also become a Spider-Man with DISADVANTAGES...this here is my story of my experience that i like to call the Spider's Web and of how i not only learn the responsibilities of being Spider-Man but discovering that i'm not the only one either! unreal! this is totally awesome! ...and let's not forget life threatening included, "ahem"!".
