Speed way

TerraWinters

Artista`
The crowed had gathered and the night was young. a mix of barley legal bikes and cars gathered on a dead strip of street called industrial road. formerly used by truckers and the like, was now a mass of cracked asphalt surrounding empty factories. Four or so cars lined up taking their places before shooting off into the dark for what would be a 5000$ cash prize. Terra sat on her bike her ankles crossed and her glowing gold eyes watching from under her goggles at the cars speeding away. she came for a challenge tonight. and it made her excited.

I hop in my cop car and I head for Industrial Rd. I know cars are racing (is it illegally?)

(I see. Sorry I hadn't.)

~Davis Butler~

I had seen this in the newspaper, and I felt like they were endangering people. I stop at a stop sign, and I see the racing cars. I turn on my siren, and follow them. No other cop was out other than me, so this discouraged me, as I didn't think I could catch them all as I would have liked to have done. I floor it and chase them down Holcroft Ave. (I am sorry if it's pretty bad.)

(your fine it will pick up)

the sirens alert the racers who click off their lights and scatter, the people parked on one of the large lots stay put talking and watching the officer go. Terra snickers softly to her self and nods at the bookie who packs up. one of the cars starts playing music and cooler of drinks was passed around, in a matter of minutes it was turned into a small flashy party.

I begin to follow one car into an alleyway. It turns onto Main St., thinking he could lose me. As I follow him, I see another cruiser patrolling. I radio him to follow this guy, he was speeding about 20 mph. over the limit. He turns on his sirens and tells me he'll try to block him off. He turns down 2nd St., and I follow him. I radio the other police cruiser, #12, that he's on 2nd St. Just as I put it back he turns turns the corner into another alleyway. I see #12 and we trap him. I get out of the car yelling. "Get out of the car! Now!" We drag him out of the car, and I yell again. "Put your hands in the air!" He does this, we bring his hands down, and we put cuffs on him. "What's your name?" I ask the other cop. "Jerry." "Nice to meet you Jerry. Can you put him in your car? There's other racers somewhere, and I think they regrouped back on Industrial Rd. He nods, and I get back in my car. I turn my lights and sirens off, trying to pull an element of surprise.

none of the cars that had been racing were anywhere to be found, but the group of cars, bikes, and trucks sitting in the lost with music and light going hadn't moved. Terra kept her eyes open watching for the cops again, her ears twitched as the music shifted to a more dance friendly sound creating a group of tangled bodies in the center of the lot.

I drive to my house which was a block away from Industrial Rd. I can't see them, but I can hear them. I switch into natural clothes so I could blend in. I go outside, and I get in my pickup truck. I have cuffs in my pocket, and a phone in the other. I drive over to the party, and I park on the curb. I walk to the cooler, and grab a coke. I listen to the music, looking for any criminals.

Terra grinned when she saw him pull up in the truck, she was no fool she knew he didn't belong here but she said nothing. she made her rounds, getting money owed by folks for their 'safety' before heading to see Max the bookie "so we got a beetle here?" she nods and hands him his cut "dont worry, nothing illegal about a back lot rave, not when you have permits" she snickers. and he nods "i am heading off if the bug causes issues, call Jesse" she walks away her long black hair flipping over her shoulders. she moves to her bike and puts on her helmet before taking off. she kept the speed slow until she got out of line of sight

I go to my pickup truck, and I drive onto Main St., parallel to Industrial Rd. I go a bit faster than the speed limit, then I slow down. I turn on the headlight on the right side. I see a bike, but I don't turn. I decide on turning on the last intersection going onto Industrial Rd.

she peels off into the night, taking back allies rather then main streets the lights of her bike illuminating the darkness. after a while she pulled into a bar, after her night was ruined she might as well have a few drinks, maybe even play some darts. Terra entered the bar and pulled off her helmet a few people nodded at her as she walked to the bar and set the helmet next to her "ok Gus, something strong...i had a dull night" the bartender chuckled softly and fixed her a drink.

I turn onto Industrial Rd. I look around, looking for any bicycle. I swear I saw it. After a few minutes of driving, I drive back onto the Main Rd., looking for drunk drivers. I see #12 again, and I wave. He waves back at me. I have my shift until midnight. "Just a few more minutes." I say to myself.

when the cops were out of sight most of the racers scurried home clearing out the lot like some one tossed water on a group of sleeping cats.

a loud harly rumbled down the street heading to gods knows where but the woman sitting behind the driver seemed to have had her share of booze. Terra sat throwing back another shot of Jack tapping the glass on the wood top for another shot "was it that bad T?" "5 grand....that was the pot tonight. i would have had it no prob....sucks so bad" she groaned

(I'm going to soon do 2 other characters. A bystander and Jerry.)

When I get home, I fix myself some food. After I sit down and I start to eat my food, I get on my laptop. I check the police records, and after this, I wash my bowl. After this, I jump into bed, and I fall asleep.

Terra sighs and pays her tab before leaving the bar, she moves over to her bike and yawns. she straps down her helmet and kicks her bike into neutral and begins the slow trek back to her condo, the bike even more evey now that she was more then slightly drunk. after about and hour she stopped looking at the hill that led to her condo "why the hell did i pick this place..."

I wake up at 6:00. I stretch, and I get out of bed. I fix myself some cereal. While I'm doing this, I check the police reports. One arrest at 2:00 AM for drunk driving. I put my bowl in the sink, and I change into my police outfit. I decide to go patrol the town again.

Terra slips out of bed yawning, tapping a few keys to bring her mac to live she hits play and it reads off her appointments of the day. grabbing her speaker she flicks on the radio and heads for a hot shower, the water causing the ink on her back to shimmer. when finished she slips into a pair of leather pants and a black leather and lace shirt, before putting on her boots and walking out. a click of a remot turning off the power in her condo. she slips onto her bike and yawns again before putting on her helmet and taking off into the daylight heading to first appointment

I get in my car, and I cruise around. I see a bicycle, but I pay no mind to it. I head to Subway, and I buy a few cookies. I eat them, sitting on the bench, and I pay attention to the cars driving in front of me.

Terra stops at a light and stretches turning her helmeted head back and forth. as the light turns green she peels out passing a subway as his 40 on a 30. she passes traffic and weaves between cars

After I finish eating my cookies, I get up, and I hop in my cop car. I go around of another patrol. I look for cars I saw last night, but I don't see any. I look for a motorcycles, and I see one. It passes by a car next to me. This catches my attention, but I don't turn my sirens on as it isn't breaking the law, or hasn't that I knew of...yet.
