Premise
Sparkling Majestic Super Magical Royal DesuDesu Academy War, or SpaMaSuMaRoDe2AcaWa, or just SpaMa, is the story of coming of age, young love, worldly responsibilities, and school rivalry.
In the Dragonspine Mountains of a magical land called Odia, there are two schools. They were established a long, long time ago, when a noble and ambitious queen, Lydia, wished to create an institution to train her daughters, and the daughters of neighboring kingdoms, in matters of being a good queen. Thus, Florealis Academy was created.
However, someone else had a similar vision – Baron Arboreor Leroy, a retired knight of great military prowess who was a lifelong friend of the king… and lifelong enemy of Queen Lydia. Arboreor School was founded for the sons of noble families, who needed to know such things as dueling and politics to be exceptional gentlemen.
This prideful rivalry between the Queen and the Baron carried on into their schools, and into their students. Though the two nobles have long since passed away, the vitrol between the institutions remains deep and passionate, and when the future of kingdoms and family honor are at stake, things can get pretty intense.
These days, princes and princesses and other noble children are sent from kingdoms all across Odia to Florealis and Arborear for top-notch educations that only royalty deserve – or can afford.
However, lured by the scent of gold and ransoms, a crew of pirates has sailed in on their airship, and has been hiding out in the thick forest for several months now. Can the two schools put aside their differences long enough to bring the pirates to justice, or will sides be taken?
Rules
This is a casual, silly roleplay that is a total riff on school anime and typical shoujo/shounen stuff in general. If you’re looking for a serious story, this is not the place.
This is also going to be a somewhat large roleplay, so I need everyone to be good sports and be willing to nerf themselves and change things if I need you to. After all, just because we’re pretending to be a bad anime, doesn’t mean we’re going to be bad roleplayers.
Odia is a kitchen-sink type of fantasy world. There are werewolves and vampires and demons and angels, and if you want to be the neko princess of Nekoland, then you can be the goddamn neko princess of Nekoland. Are you the future King of Mermen? Hell yeah, we’ll stick a fishtank on a carriage and carry you to your classes. Are you just a regular ole human? We got plenty of those, even if you do seem to breathe fire and grow scales when you get super pissed off. Just be reasonable with your powers. The more ridiculous they are, the more ridiculous their weaknesses need to be.
If you want to join this roleplay, first speak up in the OOC and let me know that you want to reserve a character slot. Then, once I’ve acknowledged your presence and figured out where in my fancy charts you’ll go, you can get to work on your profile and post it in the Character Sign-up.
