Futuristic Space Adventure [recruit]

Hey, so I've already started a roleplay. It's virtually a walk-in so I'm just looking for more interest before the plot begins. We've already start introductions.


PLOT

• Past the darkness of the universe rest faint planets unknown. Glimmering worlds promising hope for a new future to those who could not find it in their own world. That is the goal of the Vladimir - a government ship sponsored by a private party. In its current voyage the crew has set upon a new planet named Alpha-seven; it has similar oxygen and gravity to that on earth, however, it's ecosystems are a little more varied and exotic. If you dare ventured in this quest, may you find the haven you were looking for.
  
  There are several ways in which one may have come upon this story. For most, they have embarked on the Vladimir as primary colonists of the planet. Survival is questionable but a worthy goal. Each equipped with their own skill set that made them worthy of the voyage. For others, they were already on this planet. Perhaps they were hermits and came to live on it alone, perhaps they were abandoned from another failed project. Either way, we're in this all together now.
  

This is a walk-in roleplay with some permanent characters. You may enter whenever you wish into this web of drama. No steam punk, just good-ol' space technology. You may be whatever species you please so long as no god-moding ensues and it's not based off of another series.

Looking at the length of posts we're making, I'll be changing it to casual lol It seems more like a speed than detail rp anyways.

Um, I think we're aiming for at least five. It just helps give everyone material to work with. Sorry if it's too much D:

Now, the species I'm about to describe may be a little overpowered, but is the only one of its kind due to being a superweapon and has a weakness that a mere loudspeaker can provide. Ready?

Okay. It's called an Aether Core. I'm saving the backstory until after the thing itself is described.


The core is a diamondlike sword-shaped stone that has a play of color, like that of a precious opal. The core can gererate objects spanning from humans to swords. The object the core creates can be shattered like glass, but can reform as though nothing happened. In order to stop the glass from reforming, you need a loud sound. It can only rebuild itself when a few hours have passed.


But if you want to stop the core from working permanently, you first need to destroy the core itself, which is usually surrounded by a barrier of solidified light, which is much more difficult to shatter and is resistant to sound.


The core can also shoot blasts of concentrated light and can rapidly speed up or slow down molecules in its radius (temperature regulation).


And yes, Aether Cores are sentient beings. Well, they aren't supposed to be, but the one I'm using is a (somewhat) defective prototype.
