Futuristic Space Adventure (Better title needed)

Birdsie

The God-Emperor of Mankind
Welcome to Erebus Station. A small space-station created for many reasons. A place to live in, a place to refuel your ship, or a place to eat\buy rations for your travel.

Erebus is governed by Governor Alexander Stubbs, of the Universal Union. The Universal Union is the galactic union of all races, countries and states that ensures peace, and balance among them. One would see them as strict, but it might be hard to run the galaxy, so you can't blame them either. The Universal Union is ruled over by a council, that has a member from each race of the galaxy, however secretly everyone is aware that humanity is the ones that won the war for survival, and rule the council at large.

Erebus has little security, which makes it very popular amongst criminals, gangs and smugglers. This in turn makes them popular amongst bounty hunters, black market dealers and rogue military officers. So which one are you?

Erebus is split into several parts.

The top of the station (Although space has no real directions, the gravity field in Erebus makes it technically be the very top of the station) is called the Spire. Stubbs and the government figures live in it. It has luxurious restaurants, beatiful parks, many guards and there is no gang activity. It is restricted only to Stubbs, his allies and other government figures that serve the Universal Union. It has one port, used mostly for evacuations, but also arrivals of important personnel.

The rest of the station is known as the "Hive City", as it's shape is similar to a hive.

Just under it is the Upper Hive, a place where you can live in peace. Gang activity and crime is relatively small, however walking into the wrong dark alley, at the wrong time can get you a bruise or two. The apartaments are somewhat good, and one can live a pretty nice life here. People in this region mostly live off of trade, but also space-ship production. The Upper Hive has an organized police force, funded directly by the governor. The Upper Hive is overpopulated, and some of the criminals are cast down into the Main Hive, or the Lower Hive. It has several space ports, but getting a house is nigh-impossible, so most ships simply refuel, and go away.

The Main Hive is the biggest and most expansive of all. Gang activity is rampant, and in some sections, black market dealers and bounty hunters may be found. The district is controlled by a brutal militia, that tries, and fails to keep everything under control and organization. There are still normal people living here, but they will rarely be happy with life. Most of them will wish to move to the Upper Hive, but that place is over-populated by itself. This part of the hive-city is definitely not over-populated, as the gang wars, brutal militants and collateral damage made by bounty hunters, psychopaths and criminals keep the death toll in check.

The Lower Hive is the 2nd biggest, and most expansive of all. Gang activity is the only thing that's going on here. On every step you will find criminals, black market dealers, gang members, bounty hunters, wanted people, ex-military officers trying to hide from punishment, and lots of others. The police does not even bother trying to seize control of this area, as it would be an outright war declaration to try to do so. Gang wars, assassinations, muggings and kidnappings are a daily thing. Nobody down here bothers to pay taxes either as you can guess.

Then there's the Slum. A place for mutants, aliens that are too weird to live in the lower hive, or for other sorts of people who just don't fit.

You can be anyone you want, anywhere you want. You can think up an alien race, or be a human.

About the plot...

I'm not sure if I do want to make one. I guess that there will be lots of side-stories for our characters, but as for a main plot; I am still not sure. Maybe if someone can give me an idea then there will be one.

Let me know if you're interested, and feel free to ask any sort of questions you want\feel like I didn't answer above.

This has a Warhammer 40,000 feel to it.  Were you inspired by it?  Perhaps I can also lend a hand or two for your RP.

"Erebus" would be an interesting name as it is, in my opinion. Either way, I am very interested.
