Fandom Soul Eater

Name: FREY BLOTT and KAID LOULIET

Age:

Frey Blott: 16

Kaid Louliet: 17

(Luuka, her older brother is 19)

Gender: Female

Frey is a meister, and Kaid is her weapon.

Weapon

Kaid can turn into a titanium sword embroidered/encased in obsidian. The color of the obsidian changes based on her emotions. (Red is anger, blue is sadness ect.) She is very light, almost like holding a kitchen knife to the user, but in reality is extremely heavy.

A Bit'O'History:

Frey's parents divorced when she was nine, her father became an alcoholic, and her mother moved oversees. Frey and her older brother, Luuka, moved into their dad's house, but a year later decided it was best to get their own apartment, after the school counselors looked as if they would call the child protection services at any moment. Frey was totally emotionless, and she loved that, but one day she meets Kaid who calls her boring. Over the years she builds up a personality, but the problem with building up a personality is that one day it will fall apart.

Kaid never met her mom, but her father was a fine craftsman. At school, many people were charmed by her nature, but others hated her because they believed it to be an act. She was always happy, that was just it. She was always blunt, and oblivious to what was going on around her. She had a world of her own. One day, while helping her father in the workshop, her hand morphed into a sword at will and she went back calmly to chopping wood. When her father asked her what was going on and how long she had this ability she just turned and said, "About a year and a half. You mean this isn't normal? I thought it was a part of Pew-berht-ee."

Virtues:

Frey:

Cunning

Intelligent

Graceful

Eloquent

Always seems to know what is going to happen before they do.

Good at memorizing information.

For battle, she is very quick on her feet, and uses the area around her to her advantage. She is good at parkour, and uses things such as ropes hanging around in the area to crates to her own use.

Kaid:

Charming

Cute

Innocent

Very kind

Happy

At times when she is serious, she is nearly as smart as Frey.

Flaws:

Frey:

Narcissistic

Believes she is better than others, but doesn't really flaunt it.

Lies to herself and sometimes others to entertain her

Proud

She believes the world revolves around her, and thinks her back story is some huge sob drama.

Obnoxious at times

Teases

She claims to only do things for her own good; Selfish

In battle, she underestimates her opponents, believing everyone to be lower than her (except for Kaid, who is the only one worthy of being around her). She tends to make multiple mistakes when doing this, and gets injured as well.

Kaid:

Blunt

Insults people without knowing

Acts dumb without realizing it, as she is actually smarter than most.

A pushover

She puts other people before herself, which is really the only reason Frey and Kaid have been able to get along.

She is usually always happy, so when something gets to her, she will be depressed for days.

Loud

Obnoxious

Doesn't get conversation cues.

Stumbles on words.

In battle, Kaid can sometimes get over emotional, resulting in loss of power and control. Anger and Nuteral (red and black) are her two most strongest, and sadness, blue, making her as weak as a butter knife.

Special talents:

Frey and Kaid, when working together, can use Frey's soul wavelength as a barrier, which makes them completely invisible for a short amount of time, making them able to look as if they teleported when they re appear, since Frey is extremely fast. But if they touch someone else while the barrier as around them, it will be nullified, meaning this can only be used to dodge.

The edge of Kaid's blade when she is angry, can singe other people, due to it's intense heat.

Frey loves to study soul wavelengths, and a few years before the two were admitted to the DWMA, she experimented with changing the colors of wavelengths and manipulating them. It does not weaken them, but they can't do it too repetitively.

As a scare tactic, Frey and Kaid can manipulate beams to cover over their eyes, much like their barrier. It makes them look both demonic, with a black secleras and red pupils. Frey uses it much more than Kaid, to get people to fear her.

Their strongest move is a combination of their scare tactic and soul wavelengths. When they are in full sync, Frey can swing Kaid from side to side, shooting beams of their wavelengths. This, along with their barrier power, is a very dangerous move, and is very useful.

Alright, while I appreciate that you made a character sheet, you can't post in the IC tab until the GM, @SilverSolis, approves it. I recommend you save your IC post in a Word document or a Google Doc and delete the actual post from the IC thread. Then, wait until @SilverSolis gives you the go-ahead to post in the IC tab.

I apologize greatly, this is my first Rp and I wasn't sure where to start. Are you telling me to delete the character sign up post or the post I made about Frey?

Delete the in-character (IC) post, but SAVE IT FIRST. You can easily press edit and copy the code into an offline document before deleting it.

The post made about Frey in the tab labeled "in-character" to be specific.

Though, I will say you write very well and I look forward to seeing you RP in this thread.

Why thank you, :) I deleted it now, so once I get the O K I'll repost.

Where should I put my introduction? On the newest page of the rp? Would Kaid and Frey join the school late or what since everyone already started

SilverSolis said:
Hm, You can already be In the classroom if you choose to and say your character was there the entire time
Okay. can I still put my character introduction in with it though?

I say go for it. As long as you're not messing with anyone else in it, you should be fine to retro-actively introduce yourself up to the point of being in the classroom.

Note: Pinkalyn is not a GM, Mod, Admin, or other form of official information
That's what I was thinking of doing just so I could sort of join in
Yeah I was at a loss on how to join. I put something up so right now Frey is sitting idly at her desk and Kaid is kinda running around the classroom trying to talk to people. If you want to try to interact with either of them it might get us moving.

Yeah, Agree with that

Dustin and I have written ourselves into the five minute limit, so I (and presumably Plagued) are good to start class when everyone else is.

Name: Caldwin "Crossbar" Callahan

a064500b2b1cc9acaea310a8eed0e08e.jpg

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Weapon(?)

History:

Those descended from the family that Cross comes from are known for something special. Something that was, once, the height of entertainment throughout the land. The Callahan's legendary ability to put on life-size puppet shows. with remarkable attention to detail. Lifelike marionettes dancing on invisible strings to the tunes of a fairy tale setting.

However, few truly understood the dedication that went into the Callahan art. A family divided into three sects, the Callahan family members grew up most often to fall into one of three art forms, based on their family's branch. The Craftsman, whose unparalleled attention to detail and fine art created the most beautiful of dolls. The Conductors, who could manipulate the strings of their art with unearthly precision and grace. And, the least known branch, the Control Bars, a branch of weapons whose form almost always mirrored that of the most intricate and complex bars for which the conductors could resonate with.

Thus, it is true that when one thought of the Callahan family, they did not often picture fierce fighters or political figures. Only a form of entertainment that was rapidly becoming outdated by more modern interests.

Now we come to Caldwin, a young man watching his family struggle. A boy who, through a twist of fate, was born to the weapon branch but unable to transform. A mere child with the knowledge that out there, somewhere in the world, a different destiny awaited him. One that did not follow the traditional path of puppetry.

At a young age he was able to do something unheard of among his family members and peers, despite his inability to become the embodiment of a control bar. On contact with an object, he seemed to weave the very essence of his soul into it, manipulating it with his will. This mutation, as his family deemed it, seemed to fuse the two most distinctive features of his family, the Conductor and Control Bar made one. They saw him as both something to be feared, and something to be revered. A savior of the Callahan family name, but one that would put two of the branches out of business. Many of his family members shunned him. A handful doted over him. Fewer still sought to study and understand his skill.

However, as was said before, Caldwin had no interest in all of this. His goals, and his path, brought him to the steps of the DWMA. Armed only with his unique skill and a desire to understand himself, he entered enrolled as a Meister.

Virtues:

Cunning. Cross is a skilled planner, and will often be thinking a few steps ahead of whatever he is currently doing.

Manipulative. Everything a person does, or doesn't do, is an indication of who they are, what they're thinking, and what they're going to do next. Using this information against someone is one of Cross' greatest assets.

Flaws:

Abrasive. Just because he's using you, doesn't mean he's being nice about it. Cross is harsh, and most people will avoid him in their daily routines.

Irritable. Quick to anger, slow to forgive. Insulting Cross often leads to situations in which he is planning your demise, and the face he makes when he's glowering isn't much different from the face he usually wears, so it's difficult to tell when you've ticked him off.

It's not punny. Cross (for unknown reasons) takes direct personal insult to the use of puns. If they're said in his general vicinity they cause him to twitch, if said in conversation with him he'll become angered, and if made directly about him, he may come out swinging. Metaphorically, of course, since he's more apt to seal one's lips with his puppet strings ability than to throw a literal punch.

Special talents:

Puppet Strings- A variation on the Soul Thread Suture technique, Caldwin can connect strands of soul energy from his fingertips to a touched target, which then remain attached at both ends so that he can manipulate a specific part of the target. Each finger correlates to one joint or other fixed location, and the control is not perfect.

On inanimate objects the control is strong enough for lifting, swinging, and blocking as if he were physically holding the object, and requires between two (lifting) and five (swinging and blocking) sutures to maintain.

On living targets of small size, such as a bird or a squirrel, five strings are required minimum but the target's resistance causes difficulty in fine motor control. A bird might fall from the sky as it refuses to flap its wings, or a squirrel's grip on tree bark might be clumsy and cause it to slip downwards. Ten strings allows for more overall control, but the creature might still audibly protest to such a blatant disregard of its will.

On living targets of human size, such as a human, the sutures are not usually strong enough to enable direct control. Instead, at best, the opposing force of the will being projected through the strings, and the will of the person on the other end of them, are enough to cancel each other out and cause momentary paralysis in a captured target. This technique requires all ten sutures and most of Cross' attention to maintain. It doesn't last very long, though duration should be dramatically fitting for the scene.

On larger targets, or targets of exceptional strength, the sutures have little to no effect. In addition, though they aren't physical, the strings are visible, leading directly to Cross, and are able to be cut with attacks that affect the soul.

Unusual Soul-

Normal weapons aren't able to wield other weapons, much less resonate with them. Cross isn't quite a normal weapon. He's never been able to transform into his weapon state, and thus believes himself not to be one, but he has been able to train with weapons. Every weapon he's ever trained with, however, has reported nausea, discomfort, and varying levels of dysphoria after having been held by him. This has left him without a partner, despite his considerable skill as both a weapon meister and a battlefield tactician. Worse yet, the stronger their resonance the worse both sides begin to feel. Breaking whatever magical laws would normally prevent a weapon from wielding another weapon comes with a hefty toll.

Black Waltz Wavelength-

The Puppet String skill possessed by Cross has its uses, but at the same time it is limited and often no better than simply being skilled in hand to hand or melee combat. Until this wavelength is activated. The Black Waltz, as Cross has coined it, is a wavelength that is released through the Puppet Strings, turning them from the silvery-blue hue that they are normally to pitch black, light absorbing strings that vibrate with great intensity.

On Cross' end, they grant him increased speed of movement, focus, and manual dexterity. His finger movements become unparalleled and he becomes more able to dodge incoming attacks directed at himself while compensating the position of the threads so that he doesn't compromise control.

On the other end, the business end of the Black Waltz, the effects vary. Weapons are able to resonate with him through the strings, enabling them to bring out their strongest abilities while his control over their movements are sharper and faster. His ability to manipulate enemies becomes vastly stronger, to the point that failing to resist this ability might leave him in complete control for a short time (again, whatever is most dramatically fitting. Feel free to discuss with me in PMs). Even a mundane object like a branch becomes a potentially deadly weapon as speed and force are multiplied.

But perhaps the most devastating part of the Black Waltz is that it creates such a back and forth transfer over the Puppet Strings, that they become physically tangible, and very deadly to touch. The force of exposed soul resonance, vibrating at high frequency and given tangibility means that anything caught up in the strings runs the risk of being torn to shreds.

The most immediate drawbacks are a shorter duration in soul resonance before fatigue sets in, or a weaker resonance for the same duration. Resonating over a distance, even through a medium such as Puppet Strings, is more draining. Additionally, the discomfort that most weapons feel is greatly amplified by this technique. The general feeling is one of loss of self and loss of control. As if one's actions are no longer dictated by their choices, and they are merely a puppet on a string. This is not the case, as effort is required from both sides for the Black Waltz to succeed, and a partner must be able to overcome this sensation to make use of the Black Waltz. Similarly, an enemy affected by the Black Waltz will feel something similar to the above but must /give in/ to those feelings for the Black Waltz to be effective. This is usually attained at the point where an opponent finds themselves unable to move (caused by the base abilities of Puppet Strings), while impending dread sets in. Enemies who feel no such feelings are free to break out of the Black Waltz as easily as if it were the normal Puppet Strings ability.

He's a pretty unique character. So he's a weapon but he can't transform into it? I'd like to know a little more information before I accept him, since he's a new concept.

That's exactly what he is, a weapon without a weapon form. Of course this would mean limiting him to almost inability to progress in the DWMA, not to mention limiting his interaction with other students. So rather than have him severely handicapped by that, I gave him the ability to wield weapons at a detriment to them, meaning that most weapons wouldn't partner with him anyways. I thought it would be a unique concept, as you called it, to turn what is normally viewed as a mutually beneficial and generally 'good feeling' ability as soul resonance into something that is essentially torture for both of them. I'll put these details under the soul section of his abilities so that the drawbacks are more apparent to everyone, but rest assured my main goal for Cross is interesting and dramatic roleplay, not 'power play'. :3

Raina Saffron

tumblr_mucv0oMHNg1rehnmpo1_1280.jpg

"Never let them take the light behind your eyes."

b8d99a11d6d214c810f38c76d0a4cceb.jpg
Age: 18

Gender: Female

Appearance: Raina stands at a decent five feet five inches tall. She weighs something around one-hundred and sixteen pounds, and has a thin and slightly triangle-like figure. She has long, multicolored hair that is mostly wavy, yet slightly curled that combs over on a deep right part on her head. She has soft, pale features and a litter of freckles on her shoulders, hips, and center of her face. Raina has long, lanky limbs, that show the amount of disproportionate of her small torso.

Weapon or a Meister? Weapon

If you are a weapon, what kind? Axe Bass

A beautiful ruby red multi-purpose weapon that can be used as a razor sharp axe as well as a magnificent and winsome musical instrument. It can be used in combat or simply for the pleasure of the alluring hum of a tenor to countertenor bass.

Even in battle can shock-waves be emitted from the bass via strumming the strings during Soul Resonance.

marshall_lee_axe_bass__adventure_time_by_terminacosplay-d8l82ui1.jpg

A Bit'O'History: Raina Saffron led a rather normal life, hiding in the shadows of her Weapon blood so that she could live as normal of a life as possible. Of course, that would not last long, for puberty would lead to completely random transformations, and the completely mundane would not stand for what they did not understand. Raina was sent to a school just for Weapons as Meisters at as young of an age as thirteen, starting at the DWMA.

She found herself to be easily immersed into the culture of the strangely-blooded school, finally belonging somewhere.

Virtues: Raina is a very calm and tranquil individual. She has the ability to adapt to nearly any situation, and is very serene and. She is very kind to others, only to expect the same kindness back from others. She likes to help others, finding a love for optimism. Even so does she find herself to be rather disconnected from other people, sometimes not even caring for their presence due to her own much practiced self-discipline in order to do so. Raina is very cool, calm, and collected. She is very admirable and adventurous, for her ability to stay calm in the most dire of situations. In such dire situations can she become incredibly courageous and loyal to those whom she deeply cares about. Either way would she protect most everyone. Raina is also very caring and organized, and loves to put things into their place via categories.

Flaws: Raina is a bit oblivious to her surroundings at times, and can be quite ditsy. She is painfully organized, and is almost obsessively so. She is very much of a dreamer, even to a point of where it would distract her from normal-day tasks. She may also distance herself from others without even noticing it, and will fail to join back with them without being called.

Special Talents:

Healing Wavelengtha unique soul wavelength that can emit healing properties from the soul and/or body of the user with bright golden lights. In extreme cases can the user's soul connect to another's soul to heal within them. Madness can also be repelled by a Healing Wavelength. Healing can also cause a calming effect on those around the user.

Singing — Raina has a very eloquent singing voice, albeit high-pitched, that tends to put many people at ease around her. Easily soprano, her voice is strong yet delicate, and can easily adapt to many different music types and background musics. The biggest contrast that she uses is the deep humming of her bass to her high voice.

Musical Knowledge — Raina knows a lot about music, having been on her ordinary schools' band teams throughout her years. She knows many terms and has the ability to play many instruments with minimal amounts of practice, while it would take much longer for others to learn said instruments.

Medical Knowledge — Raina also has quite a decent knowledge of medicine and medicinal items due to her Healing Wavelength, thus inspiring her to learn of actual medicine if her soul ability would fail to aid her in dire situations.
