There's more than shield bashing! Shield Hero did plenty of things, granted, he couldnt use other weapons but he had thoughts and ideas to help

Well yeah, he had shields that he got with raphtalia’s help, because he couldn’t do any damage. Those shields with abilities gave him options

Why don't you hybridise the weapon Deadeyelee .

One thought that comes to mind is a Shield/Microphone. Which I think was used once in Shield hero. Why not implement an ability that acts as a large microphone into the shield, so Kat can scream into the back of Elyn and Elyn's shield form could project that sound outward. Could even have the speaker be able to alter between wide aoe sound blasts and precision sound shots.

I’ll just have a coiled push dagger at the bottom of the shield, and two grips so she can fluidly switch to stab mode, but not accidentally stab herself
