Let's negotiate. I know you said Autonomous weapons simply can't be wielded by a meister, but how about this? Carlin goes (Whether organically or because he couldn't find a meister) "Autonomous" most of the time, tagging along with other duos because of his Powerful Resonance abilities? Like what's stopping someone from wielding a bear trap capable of fighting by itself alongside a meister wielding another weapon?

He doesn't have to be an autonomous weapon to fight by himself without a meister most of the time. He could be a weapon very skilled in partials who often fights by himself but can be used by a meister when one is available.You know what.
That's a perfectly acceptable thing to do.
He's just not technically called an "Autonomous Weapon" if that's the case.

In canon, I wouldn't technically personally call Gearicho (probs spelled that wrong) an autonomous weapon because if he fully transformed into a chainsaw, someone in theory could wield him. The situation is just that no one does.
