One x One Sorcerous Liaisons

@Javvie Here it is! Now, I have a few ideas where this thing could go, but would love to head what you have to say first. :)

Awesome! I wasn't thinking much to be honest. Why don't you say what you were thinking and I'll see if I want to include anything else. :)

Sure thing! The way I see it, our characters could be linked in two ways:

1 - Your character is actually the one being possessed by the Sorceress, and with time the two get uncomfortably close as my character try to take over yours for good this time.

2 - Your character could be attracted to/in love with the possessed girl.

Oh, I like 1 a little better, but what about this?

My character falls in love with the possessed girl, but all of the interactions that she loves about her are actually coming from the Soceress. So, she falls in love with the Sorceress, which could lead to a lot of confusion. Especially since the Sorceress could tell my character that she needs her to free her and perhaps the Sorceress had killed someone important to her.

Just tossing it out there, of course!

I like it! Let's go with that.

Would the murder be because of jealousy or by a mere whim? The meaning would change the plot a lot, I think, and I see my sorceress as being capricious, so either could happen. Who do you see as being dead or 'missing'?

Unsure. Perhaps she needed virgin's blood for something.

I was thinking older sister or possibly a friend/potential romantic rival.

Ooh, what if the ritual transferred the poor rival's feeling for your character to the Sorceress?

So:

The Sorceress is influenced by the dying feeling of affections of her virgin sacrifice and now have her own feeling for your character.

Your character is attracted to the Sorceress, but is not aware that she is in fact the Sorceress and not the possessed girl. Yet.

Okay!

Now I think we should flesh the setting and the years of smooth sailing possession, then we can choose a starting point and do our thing.

Medieval Fantasy:

I pictured the Sorceress as being held captive in a giant prison of stone with runes inscribed in the chains that prevents it from moving by outside means. The prison would be deep in the woods, and protected by an ancient arcane circle that needs various kind of rituals to undermine over a long period of time. Maybe the phases of the moon would be involved as well.

As for the possession, she took control the the girl when she was gathering flowers on the outskirt of the forest, and while her control over her lessened with time and mental growth, she still have some sway over the young woman she inhabit.

Alright.

I'm going to say that my character lives in a village outside of the forest. She is a daughter of the noble man who 'owns' the village. It is small and tight knit, with families that have lived there since the beginning of time. The main advantage of the town is that it is between the forest and the sea, thus there is some trade to speak of. It is a more merchant type town with only a few farms to speak of, since creatures from the wood often disturb any sort of agricultural activity.

I think there have been three sacrifices thus far, in a roughly five year interval. Between those, more minor sacrifices of trust and of various magical artifacts were made, and the prison is now very weak.

Do you think the rival would have been an early victim or a later one?

A recent and still raw event, then!

Did I miss anything? Or should we look into plotting the first few posts and the overall story board?

Perhaps just the story board to a point and where we want to pick up.

Is it when they meet or do they already know each other?

That sounds good! It might be easier for you to start, if that's alright.

I normally do five to seven paragraphs for intros, but sometimes do more. Then three to five paragraphs per reply.

Does that work for you?
