Fantasy Son's and Daughters of Olympus

Abby finished and put the cleaning equipment back in the box, lifting it slowly before carrying it back to the kitchen. She looked up and saw Demetri in the doorway and stood still, unsure of what to say or do. "How long have you been there?" she asked, somewhat alarmed that she hadn't noticed.

Demetri snickered," A while to be honest," he said lifting his head from his hand, "How are you by the way?" He asked feeling a bit worried for her.

"That's a little creepy. Watching me from a distance like that, do you do that often?" she asked, ignoring his other question as she blew a strand of hair away from her face. She took another swig from the bottle of Vodka, enjoying the burning taste as she swallowed.

"Well sorry, i didn't want to bother you but i was worried." Demetri said before continuing,"sorry for caring for ur mental well being."

Abby raised an eyebrow. "There isn't anything wrong with my mental well being. I'm fine, you don't need to worry about me. I'm a big girl," she said as lightly as she could. "It's sweet that you care, I just don't see why you worry."

Demetri shrugged,"oh well, if you say your fine your fine. I just found you acted differently." He said laughing while turning his wheelchair to leave, " By the way, i totally saw you blush at the mention of marriage. I bet you were thinking of my sexy self." He said laughing while leaving. He was honestly just joking and not believing what he said.

She stiffened, the ring flashing through her mind. "You wish," she said softly before carrying the box into the kitchen. She stored it in the appropriate cupboard and turned, pouring herself a cup of coffee. She drank it slowly, enjoying the scent.

Fawn tossed and turned, sweat completely coating her body; her skin on fire to the touch; she thrashed in the bed violently;

Until she eventually screamed herself awake; jolting into a harsh upright position.

The scream was ear piercing; the duration approaching 20 seconds. Her heart pumped loudly in her chest, the sound echoing noisily from the walls; her vision was blurred from fear, she brought her knees up to her chest, hiding her face in her hands, rocking slowly back and forth; shaking violently.

Idris and Freya had returned not too long ago, Idris now sporting several new clothing, and she'd immediately hopped into the shower. She was in the middle of it when someone screamed. In a shock, she rinsed herself hastily off, threw a towel around herself and went outside to where the other girl was. The scream had ended by then, but Fawn was curled up into fetal position, rocking herself back and forth. Ira had woken up, too, if unwillingly, and was wondering what was going on. Slowly, Idris placed her hands on Fawn's shoulder. "Fawn? Are you okay? What happened? What's the matter?"

Fawn instantly my jerked herself away from the unknown person's touch, unaware that it was Idris.

Her voice broke and cracked from fear as she pushed herself away. "S-stay away... P-please... No m-more..."

Idris's voice was soothing, gentle. "It's okay, Fawn. I'm not going to hurt you. I'm Idris, remember? Just Idris. You're safe." She kept talking, speaking of the other people and herself. It didn't matter, what mattered was her tone of voice. She didn't grab Fawn, but slowly placed her hand back on Fawn's shoulder, distracting her with her words and inuring her to touch, letting her know no threat was intended. "It's okay..." She breathed quietly.

Freya rushed into the room wearing an overly large t-shirt and her hair down. She had her whip uncoiled in one hand and looked at Fawn alarmed. "Is everything alright?" she asked, her eyes scanning the room for threats.

Idris turned her head towards Freya sharply as the daughter of Aphrodite rushed inside. "Shhh..." She said quietly. "Don't talk too loud. I think everything is alright, but you'll startle Fawn. I think she had a nightmare."

Demetri rolled to the training ground. He slowly rolled towards one of the machines and took a few plates to put them on either side of the bench press. He took out his shirt and pulled himself to lay down on it. He positionned himself and started lifting the weights a few times when Hunter walked in wearing his usual gym clothes. He saw Demetri and laughed a little, ''Well that's impressive. How did you even manage to go on it?'' he asked helping him bring down the heavy weight. Demetri shrugged, '' I felt like lifting and pulled myself on it...tho it's kind of stupid since I have no idea how to seat back on the wheelchair from this distance.'' he said as he ran a hand in his sweaty hair as sweat dripped on his chest. Hunter nodded, ''Haha, Well I'll be around if you need help.'' he said giving a smile and going to one of the other machines.

"Sorry," Freya whispered, leaving the room as her whip slithered up her arm.

Abby spent the next half hour cleaning before heading towards the library to teach a class. She'd only been doing the a couple of weeks, and so far it was going resonably well. Teaching, Greek, Ancient Greek and English were the ones she'd started with but just last week she'd taken over Freya's 'Generation histories' class and she was enjoying teaching it. Setting up, she pulled out the whiteboard and wrote in large letters

'Generation Histories: Generation Two and their predecessors'

'With Abby Graham'

Moving back over to the door, she turned left and unlocked a cupboard, bringing out a stack of books and placing one on each desk as she greeted the Demigods as they filed in. This was by far her largest class, but it would be the first without her sister present and she was nervous.

---

Demigods from all over the DU were filing in to the library, chattering about their classes for the day.

Demetri and Hunter trained for what seemed like hours when they finally finished. Hunter helped Demetri go back on his wheelchair and after whipped himself with one of his small towels. Demetri on the other hand wasn't really prepared which was rare. He ended up taking his shirt to whip his chest and hair from all the sweat, ''Hey Hunter, I just need to go get a book at the library. Wanna come?'' he asked smiling and pretty much not wearing his shirt back on since it was next to them. He saw a few demi gods going towards the library and didn't care much as he and Hunter stepped in the library. But they did not expect to see a class being given.

"Alright guys, take you're seats and we can start," Abby said as she tied her hair up in a bun. "Welcome to Generation histories. For those of you who don't know yet, although I don't see why you wouldn't," she teased, winking at a few of the Demigods who laughed as they took their seats. "I am Abiagil Graham and I'm taking over this class from Freya Collett. You should have covered Generation one with Freya, but if you haven't then by all means stop me after class and we can arrange private tutoring." She moved and sat on the large desk at the front of the room and smiled. "For the purpose of a starting point, who can give me the short version of how the Gods came into being?" Draven raised his hand and Abby nodded towards him for him to speak.

"In the beginning there was Chaos, who was all alone until Gaia appeared. She, without the help of another, gave birth to Uranus who served as a father to the 12 Titans, the Cyclops and the 50-headed Hecatonchires," he said in a calm voice with a smirk. Abby grinned.

"Glad to see you paid attention instead of staring at my sister's ass," she teased him as the others laughed. "But he is right. And who can tell me what the personifications of Gaia and Uranus were?"

A young girl towards the front of the class raised her hand. She couldn't be more than 14 or 15 years old with auburn hair and brown eyes.
"Gaia is the Earth and Uranus is the Sky," she said and Abby grinned at her.

"Good so we have the basics down. Gaia and Uranus are the foundations for our current governing system and although I know that there are more Generation One Gods, they are the only ones we will need for now." Abby jumped off the desk and flipped the large whiteboard over, picking up a pen and listing the numbers one through twelve. "So who can name any of the twelve original titans? Shout them out and I'll write them down."

"Cronus."

"Rhea."

"Oceanus."

"Phoebe."

"Theia."

Silence filled the room, and Abby smiled. "That's five, anyone know any others?"

Demetri found it funny at first seeing her giving a course at many other demi-gods of all age. He listened to her attentively pretty much absorbed by what she was saying. He didn't stop looking at her the whole time finding it weird but amusing to see that she had another side to her. Hunter was about to raise his hand when they started naming the other Titans but he beat him by just speaking out loud to her with his deep and knowing voice '' The others are Iapetus, Themis, Oceanus, Tethys,Cruis, Mnemosyne, Coeus and Hyperion.'' He simply said looking at her.

Abby wrote them down quickly and nodded. "Well done Demetri," she said smiling at him kindly with a wink. "And who can tell me what their jobs were?" The class sat in silence and she laughed.

"Open your texts books to page 142 if you're having trouble, but there is no shame in guessing."

One of the smaller Demigods from the from row raised his hand. "Was Oceanus the God of the Sea?"

Abby beamed. "Yes he was, well done. And who was his wife."

"Thetis."

"Good," she said as she linked the two. "Anyone else know their jobs?"

"Weren't two of them Earth goddesses?" an older Demigod asked and Abby nodded.

"Yes but which two?"

"Rhea and....Coeus"

"You're right about Rhea, wrong about Coeus. Coeus was a man..."

"Sorry."

"Don't be sorry, you tried, which is more than I can say for the rest of you. Come on, what was the other Earth Goddess and who were the pair of them married to?"

"Rhea is married to Cronus," Draven said, leaning back in his chair. "And the other Earth Goddess is Themis, who was married to Iapetus who had no known responsibilites."

"Very good. Give me another."

Seeing Draven hesitate, Demetri looked at Abby '' Hyperion is the god of the Sun, also the brother and husband of Theia. There is Mnemosyne who is the goddess of Memory.. the three others, Coeus, Phoebe and Crius have no...notable responsibilities.'' he simply said. At that point, Hunter was just looking at him in awe, ''Damn Demitri, you ain't just muscle chest but got the head with it too!'' he said taping his bare chest playfully as Demetri snickered and rubbed the part he hit.

Abby smiled at him kindly. "Good. They are your original Generation two Gods, more commonly known as the Titans. There are however more than just these twelve. Some of their children are also considered generation two. Selene, goddess of the moon, Helios, god of the sun, Atlas, Prometheous, and dozens more. Many of them are also considered Titans. In some versions they are considered to be the third generation of four but that is only in recent interpretations. Does anyone know why a Titan is called a Titan?"

The class fell silent and Abby grinned. "Excellent! I do so love this story. Ok! Titans are a very powerful type of deity that as we know are descended from Gaia and Uranus. The children of the original Titans consisted of Hyperion's children Helios, Selene and Eos; Coeus's daughters Leto and Asteria; Iapetus's children Atlas, Prometheus, Epimetheus, and Menoetius; Oceanus' daughter Metis; and Crius' sons Astraeus, Pallas, and Perses. Their names are all in your text books so don't worry if you didn't get them down. The Titans ruled during what is still called The Golden Age, which was the first of five Ages of Man. If you want to know more about the separate Ages of Man there is an advancement class on a Tuesday taught by the Centaur Matthias." She paused and moved to her desk, sitting back on it and crossing her ankles.

"Before the Golden Age, everything was run by Uranus. But Uranus was jealous of Gaia's love for her children, and began to imprison them inside of the Earth where Gaia could not reach them. This caused her great pain, and she turned to her children for help. She asked each of her six sons in turn for help but each refused until her youngest agreed to help her. Cronus. She shaped a great flint-bladed sickle and asked Cronus to castrate Uranus. So waiting until the right moment, Cronus ambushed his father and castrated him before throwing the..... uhhh.... appendage into the sea. For this, Uranus decreed that they would forever be known as Titans or the Strained Gods. From the blood that split onto the Earth came the Giants, the Erinyes who are also known as the Furies, the Meliae or the ash-tree nymphs, and the Telchines. Aphrodite then rose up from the ocean, born from the sea foam and Uranus'..... genitals. Cronus then disposed of his father, but not before he and Gaia prophesied that Cronus himself would be overthrown by his own son.

Abby fell silent and stood up, looking at the clock on the wall. "Alright I think that's enough for today. Same time tomorrow," she said as everyone began to pack up and leave the library.

Demetri just stayed at the same place he was next to the exit with Hunter next to him. The son of Artemis was impressed by Abby while on the other hand, Demetri wasn't. He knew just how smart she was, he somehow felt a bit proud about it. He looked at Hunter, ''See, that's what I call intelligent company.'' he simply said winking at Hunter as a Joke. Hunter just looked at him boredly and saw Abby walk towards them or the exit. ''Hey Abby! You were really impressive! You knew lots of stuff, like your probably smarter then Demetri!'' he said to annoy Demetri. He knew how much he hated when someone underestimated his intelligence.

Abby giggled and smiled at Hunter kindly. "Freya's been teaching me and pretty much everyone else here for six months. If you think this is good, you should see the Endocrinology class or the Ancient Greek we teach," she said with a smile. "As long as you're here your allowed to sign up for as many as you want, including the power advancement training or the self defense classes. There's a list in the training room if you want to look, but a lot of classes are on hold because of Freya's absence," she said softly as she wiped the board clean. "So what are you two up to today?"
