Hello! I'm here with another werewolf roleplay idea. My first on this site, however. It's loosely based off of the story telling game Werewolf: The Apocalypse, which is a fun as hell storytelling game, I love it with all of my heart. You don't need to know what it is, I'm only drawing in some aspects of this all. Essentially, though, the basic idea is the world is filled with corruption, etc, the Garou act as, in a way, the world's immune system in regards to aspects of general evil, this can be supernatural beings, other Garou, just plain evil humans, whatever!! The story we set can range from Love stories or Indiana Jones-like treasure hunts are just as possible as detective stories or basic fantasy themes like escort missions or 'Capture the Flag'-scenarios.
Details on them, here we go, also, if you want to add elements of your own into their lore and shit, I am so down. Sign me the fuck up. ;
Humans for one, do not believe in the Garou, mostly because they don't show themselves and years and years ago they and the actual humans roaming a world they consider their own didn't get along, they were sort of shit heads, ruined cities, probably stunted humanity's growth by lots. If a human does see a Garou, they rationalize the fuck out of it, until they think it's either a) a regular animal, or b) a psychopathic human. There are other animal shifter, were animals, but they aren't accepted by that Garou, they sort of despise them, there was a war between them, again, the Garou are sort of shitheads, from time to time. The first change is at puberty, and called the First Change. All wolves are born as Homid or Lupus (there is another, but I'm cuttin' that shit out. Sorry.) Lupus are more of the spiritual in tune with their wolf types (and one of their parents are wolves, one is a Garou in wolf form, fun days.), and Homid are more in tune with their human self, can blend in, etc (they have one human parent, one nonhuman parent.) Two Garou cannot produce a child.
Homid is the human form, completely indistinguishable from other humans in most cases.
Crinos is the monstrous form resembling a traditional werewolf, usually growing to nine feet tall and made of pure muscle. This form is what most Garou prefer to fight in. In this form, any weak willed human that sees it will resort to a genetic memory-induced state of pure fear and terror known as the "Delirium". Hispo is a massive dire wolf-like form, usually preferred by Lupus Garou for fighting. Lupus is the wolf form, granting certain abilities that stem from the wolf's greater senses than that of humans.
Ragabash are Garou born under the new moon. They are defined as the "Questioner of Ways" and are usually played as trickster or rogueish types. Theurge are Garou born under the waxing or waning crescent moon. They are defined as the "Searcher of the Ways" and are the seers and shamans of Garou society who most directly intercede with spirits. Philodox are Garou born under the quarter or half moons. They are defined as the "Keeper of the Ways" and serve as mediators, counsellors, and judges amongst Garou society, discerning right from wrong just as their lunar phase is half lit and half dark. Galliard are the Garou born under the waxing or waning gibbous moon. They are defined as the "Lover of the Ways" who serve as bards and teachers amongst the Garou. Ahroun are the Garou born under the full moon. They are defined as the "Protector of the Ways" and are the warriors of Garou society whose Rage is strongest.
Hit me up if you'd be interested in doing something with this. I might include the third breed Metis, but, that's to be discussed, honestly.
