Aemond frowned deeply shaking his head some "I can do as I please Carmen! I'm getting sick of you not even fucking trying to get on with my mother! I'm in a constant back and forth and its getting ridiculous! I've done everything I can to make good with your family, but you're constantly fighting mine!" He yelled loudly to her.

Max smiled happily and took his hand moving towards the bar to get a drink "I'm glad that they seem to like me." She said before kissing him gently "When do you want to head out?"

She frowned and just shook her head. “My family hasn’t tried to hurt yours. That’s the difference. Mine is not trying to flaunt my other prospects in front of you… that’s the difference aemond.” She told him seriously, flinching when he started shouting at her again in the confined space of the car

He smiled and nodded, “We can stay another hour ish. Show face and mingle if we have to. It just looks good.” He sighed a little.

Aemond rolled his eye and shook his head some "This is our fucking life Carmen! Your own brother has turned on your family before! Just fucking stop already, act like a fucking wife and shut up!" He yelled loudly at her just as the brakes squealed loudly and everything went black

Max smiled happily and nodded "Sounds good." She said before handing him a drink "I love you, you know that?"

Bill smiled and pulled her in close before taking her to do the rounds of saying hi to people and mingling until if was time to go home and he drove them both back to his place, sighing as she paused at the door. “You wanna do yours instead?” He asked.

She was aware of the impact and after that nothing, going in an out of consciousness until an ambulance was pulling up and she blacked out again, this time not waking up at all.

Alicent was sat at her sons bedside in the morning when he started coming around. Her bodyguard also there while she jumped up and moved closer. “Oh oh aemond it’s okay, you’re okay.” She coaxed.

Max paused outside the door to his apartment as they arrived taking a deep breath. She looked up at him and shook her head some "No...I got pull off the badaid at some point." She said softly before taking his hand in hers.

Aemond groaned softly as he started to come around. He frowned deeply seeing his mother there "What...where...what happened?" He groaned holding his head and eye.

She frowned and shook her head. “Someone rammed into the side of your car on your way home last night… god you’ve got off lightly. I was worried sick.” She muttered. “Just be careful darling. They said you’d likely be slightly concussed and there’s a lot of bruising. You need to be careful.” She told him not bringing up carmen at all and talking as if she never even existed.

He sighed and walked her inside, going to get changed in his room before going to open the guest room door. “Let’s sleep in there tonight instead.” He told her quietly.

Aemond frowned deeply and groaned some "Carmen? Where is she? Did they hit her side?" He asked starting to get rowdy when his mother tried to deflect the question "WHERE IS SHE?!" he screamed.

Max shooo her head some and followed him back to his room "No...I want to sleep in your bed." She said softly before running her hands up his chest gently before kissing him lovingly.

Alicent frowned and paused before answering. “She’s not here. I had her taken to a different hospital. She’s not a good infuence on him and from what I understand if you hadn’t left when she demanded it this wouldn’t have happened anyway.” She told him.

Bill sighed quietly and just let her take him to bed not really wanting to fight her on this one. They had their fun and before long he was sound asleep, more relaxed than he’d been in a long time.

Aemond looked at his mother in shock and began to grow enraged "Are you fucking kidding me?" He questioned in a low tone before he started to try and get up. He frowned as she started to push him back and thrashed "You let me up goddamn it! Let me up!" He screamed as nurses rushed in trying to restrain him "Where is my wife?! Let me go to my wife you piece of shits!"

Max woke up well rested for the first time in months. She smiled softly seeing Bill laying there staring up at the ceiling "Good morning, how did you sleep?"

“Aemond darling you need to rest. You can see her later if you must but you need rest.” She told him frowning until his doctor stepped in to check on him and was shocked by the chaos.

“What is going on in here? Let him sit up.” He told the nurses quickly, hearing the situation and frowned. “I would strongly advise you to stay put Mr. Targaryen but as an adult you may discharge yourself if you so choose. I can have your nurse get the papers now.” He told him. They were a well known family and aemond especially amongst them. You’d be a fool to get on the wrong side of him.

He turned to face her and smiled tiredly. “Not bad for once. You?” He asked, pulling her in closer and holding her tight, kissing all over her face and neck, smiling to himself. “I can’t believe I get you all to myself sometimes Yknow?”

Aemond thrashed trying to get free of the men. He glared daggers as the doctor came in and frowned deeply "I will seek treatment at the hospital my wife is at, where I should fucking be." He spat before throwing his legs over the bed. He glared at his mother as she came near him and shook his head "DO NOT. Touch me woman! You are to come nowhere near me or my family ever again unless it is for a meeting." He spat before grabbing his clothes from the crash.

Max laughed lightly and smiled widely as he peppered kisses all over her "I think the same thing." She said sweetly before kissing him gently. She groaned softly seeing his clock and sighed heavily "I gotta get going, shop won't open itself."

His doctor nodded and got his papers sorted, making sure to get the information for where his wife was taken as well, handing him the papers and leaving quickly not wanting to get involved with the damn family.

He groaned. “No. I don’t want you to… I’ll get some lunch and bring it over later if you like though. Work is quiet at the minute.” He murmured, letting her get up eventually

Aemond thanked the doctor for his help and signed his papers. He held at his head for a minute before he searched his pockets thankful to find his patch and sapphire in it. He wrapped the patch around his head giving him mother one last glare before leaving.

Max laughed lightly and kissed him gently "Mmm that sounds great." She said before yawning softly. Soon enough she got up and ready for the day kissing him gently as she got to the door "I'll see you later okay? Don't go getting in any trouble."

The hospital downtown where they had sent carmen was a far cry from the private one aemond had been taken to and even after receiving g the information from him on who he was looking for it took them ages to find out what room she was in, finally sending him up there. “ICU room 304.” The receptionist told him.

He smiled and gave her a little salute, watching her go then went to get dressed and make some breakfast.

Aemond had shouted for them to tell him where she was as he got there. Even after ages when they finally told him he had to prove his relationship with her. Finally as he got to the room he was taken aback by how bad she looked. Bruised everywhere and a tube down her throat to keep her breathing. He took a deep breath remembering the last thing he said to her before he finally broke down crying quietly.

Max got to the shop and opened up quickly. She frowned though seeing a few of Aemond's men come in early "Good morning boys, its early for a drop off, something wrong?"

It was one of the newer ones that stepped over and locked the front door. “Where is he? Where is Bill?” Another asked. “There was an incident. And we understand that he likely has knowledge regarding said incident.”

Her nurse was coming in to make checks and frowned at the man now sat there. “You must be the husband I heard about… I’m sorry for your loss.” She told him frowning as he looked up at her panicked.

Max frowned deeply at them and shook her head some "I don't know where he is. He dropped me off at home last night." She said glaring at them a bit "Now, if thats all you need please leave."

Aemond looked at the nurse panicked when she apologized for his loss "My loss?! What do you mean my loss? Her heart is still beating." He said in a panicked voice.

She frowned and quickly shook her head. “She was pregnant. I… you didn’t know?” She asked him frowning. I’m sorry sir, her doctor will be by soon to explain more.” She told him quickly and left him to it.

The tallest one shook his head. “Get him here. There was an attempt on Aemonds life last night. And on carmens. Get him here. Now.” Ge told her.

Aemond felt his stomach drop when she said Carmen was pregnant. He turned his attentuon back to Carmen feeling sick to his stomach abour himself and how he had treated her.

Max frowned deeply and pulled out her phone "Give me one minute." She muttered before stepping in the back and calling Bill "Bill....Aemond's men are here. Someone tried to kill him and Carmen last night. They won't leave unless you come." She whispered quickly down the line

bill frowned and shook his head. “I’ll be there soon as I can okay? Don’t panic alright?” He coaxed her, hanging up and grabbing his car keys to get down there.

Despite him being told it wouldn’t be long it was another three hours before anyone came to check in on her and it still wasn’t her doctor like they’d said it would be

Aemond frowned deeply as yet another nurse came in to check on her after three hours "Where is her doctor?! This is fucking ridiculous! " he spat at him

Max gave a heavy sigh but nodded "Alright I'll see you soon" she said before hanging up. Shw came back out and frowned at the men "Take a seat in the back, he'll be here shortly."

They nodded to her and went to sit down, unlocking her door for her as well.

He frowned and checked her over before nodding. “He should be here soo… how long has she been running a fever?” He asked the husband frowning again and sending a page out

Max thanked them before she got back into the swing of things for opening the shop. She looked at Bill as he came in later while she was helping a customer. She pointed towards the back before she went back to helping the customer.

Aemond frowned deeply at the nurse "I don't fucking know! No one has fucking been here to take care of her for three hours!" He shouted shaking his head some "What kind of hospital are you people running here?!"

He nodded and gave her arm a squeeze as he walked past her, “what the hell happened?” He asked the others, taking a seat as he listened to what they had to say, just rubbing at his face. “Shit. I know there was a hit out on him but you all know the job. There wasn’t anything I could do to warn him. This is sloppy work too, I can pull some strings, find out who it was.”

The nurse just nodded and once the extra help arrived they had aemond wait outside while they started trying to get her more stable until eventually a further hour later he was allowed back in and her doctor was there.

“I understand you’ve been waiting a while. I apologise. She was brought in to us last night as a transfer and we were given no information except her name. She coded twice on us from loss of blood, no sign of any head trauma but she’d been crushed at some point as she had several broken ribs, a lot of bruising and a double lung collapse… we will bring her out of sedation now but she’s still at high risk of infection so we just need to be careful…. If you would like to transfer her somewhere else I would advise against it in her current state but give it a day or so, see if she gets any better then maybe she can be.” He fox him with a shrug.
