Heather did not eat, instead she sat at the table a couple of seats away and looked down at her wrist fidgeting with a thin silver bracelet. This was the same bracelet as seen on both Veronica and Princeton. It did not seem like much, but did look too small to fit over her hand. She seemed lost for a few moments, in some sort of trance. When she was zoned out her features were softer, she didn’t look so mean. All of that quickly went away when she came out of it, her face scrunching up in annoyance yet again. She looked down at the bowel of empty food, well except for one. Heather rolled her eyes and looked as if she was going to say something, but instead she made her way to the door. “Lets go.” She waited for everyone to make there way out. “I’m taking you to the medic if you plan on getting hurt I advice you pay attention.” The trip to the medical office was an extensive amount of turns and two trips on the transport chairs. Heather then scanned her bracelet up against a scanner and the door opened to let the students in. It was a typical waiting room, a row of chairs on either side and a front desk. A woman and a man were making small talk, they were dressed in the same style uniform except it was black in color. The man smiled at Heather giving a nod before watching her take her exit.

“You got this?”(Man)

“Fine.” (Woman)

“Alright i’ll go wake him up.” The man walked to the left of the desk going through automated door. The woman stood grabbing a clipboard and walking over to the right. “First two lets go.” As the students came in she gave the same speech to all of them. “Early isn’t it? Don’t worry just gonna give you a few shots and a little exam.” She tested them for food allergies, the one who had them, was given a shot in the neck. It hurt like hell at first, the lady explaining the pain would fade away in an hour or so. Arlon was skipped over, after a look at his files they told him to go wait in the waiting room.

As the students returned to the waiting room they found Heather waiting for them. She had on a big smile sucking up to the male they saw before. Her smile faded when she saw the students, letting out an annoyed sigh. The man straightened up looking down at his chart. “Choi, Everheart the...doctor would like a further examination, stay behind.”

Heather escorted the rest down the hall, she would occasionally look behind her, growing more irritated with each glance. The school was still quiet as six rolled around the corner, “You will be starting class after lunch. The sooner you start the faster you will get kicked out.” A few more turns and two stories later the students found themselves in an empty auditorium. “Stand in the back, I’ll come get you afterwards.” The students were now alone.

Johanna’s fingers searched the area around the bowl and found two other containers. Liquid sloshed around in them as she picked one of them up and she carefully brought it up to her nose to smell. It didn’t smell like anything, which she wasn’t sure was a good thing or bad thing. She took a small sip and was relieved to discover it was water. She took a couple big gulps, not caring at all that water dripped down her chin in her haste. Half the glass was empty by the time she was finished and she took a deep breath.

Her head swiveled in Levi’s direction as he spoke, a frown forming on her face. She was silent for several moments, as if she were unsure of what to say. “It’s not..about being gross. I can only eat certain things… but my list is gone.” She turned her head back to facing forward and her fingers turned the glass in circles on the table. “I didn’t eat for eight years. I think I’ll be fine.” The words were said without any emotion behind them. She didn’t feel much towards what her parents had done to her and what she did feel, she didn’t particularly understand.

It wasn’t long until the girl was hauling them away somewhere else. Johanna had given up in trying to figure out exactly where they were going. She was having a hard time remembering the layout of their first building with their beds in it. The path they took to the medic seemed to be the most complex yet and she stuck close to those around her. The exam itself was something she was used to. In the past week so many people had examined her, but it always made her uncomfortable. The shots were just as unpleasant, but the pain didn’t last very long. Once they were back in the waiting room, things only got worse. She didn’t realize at first that she had been asked to stay behind. She was fairly unfamiliar with her last name and almost found herself leaving with the other people.

Once she was left alone with whoever else was there, she stood there nervously, playing with the ends of her sleeves. Panic had set in again. She was glad someone else had to stay alongside her. She wasn’t sure how she would have found her way back to the others if she were alone. But, why did she have to stay? Was there some kind of problem? She made sure her fingers were covered as much as possible, She moved to the wall, her hand outreached as she looked for a chair. Once she found them, she sat down, and her feet tapped against the floor nervously. “Do you know exactly why we have to stay? Did I do something wrong?”

Dante

Power: GateLocation: AuditoriumInteraction: Basically everyone
A big grin broke on Dante's features as it seems most everyone got his references. It was a natural smile, light, carefree, the kind that would light up a room. It was nice that everyone seemed to be talking at long last, given how non-chatty everyone had been up until now. One rather large girl mentioned biting the head off of any potential facehuggers, and he couldn't help but laugh. "Remind me to call you if I come across any sinister serpents then!" he exclaimed happily.

Arin didn't seem to get the Alien reference, but fortunately, Alron and then Rosita chimed in to fill in the gaps.

"If you get too scared to walk by yourself now you can always hide behind me, everyone knows fire is their weakness."

Dante rubbed the back of his head. "I may just have to take you up on that. The curse of an eidetic memory is when my mind runs away with scary thoughts like that, it gets a bit too vivid." He admitted with a sheepish grin. For him, whenever he was, for lack of a better term, examining his memories, they appeared before his eyes much like a vision, as clear as when it happened. This would, unfortunately, result in the memory almost overlaying itself over his normal vision, if he wasn't careful. In the case of scary monsters, well.... You get the idea.

"Plus, if xenomorphs did start running around, I could Gate us to Bermuda if we got in over our heads. Actually, probably should make that Barcelona. I've been meaning to dip back over there since last week but I got busy getting ready to come here" He mused thoughtfully, tapping his chin with his index finger. "I haven't visited Spain since Mom's dance seminar last month... It really has been too long..." He murmured to himself, his brow furrowing just a little bit. He wondered if he'd be able to find a way to sneak through a Gate while he was here. It'd be a shame to not visit his friends around the globe for so long...

He didn't have too long to ponder his thoughts. Once again, Heather whisked them away, taking them to the medic for examination. Fortunately for Dante, he didn't have any food allergies, and was perfectly healthy. Then, once everyone was done, they were whisked away to the Auditorium and told to wait.

"Well, if classes start after Lunch the two of us are gonna need to change. They haven't told us much, but they were clear about the Yellow uniform being for class." Dante spoke, addressing Levi. Fortunately, they'd just had breakfast, and lunch was probably at least six or seven hours away, so they'd have plenty of time to change between now and then. Though, he couldn't help but wonder why Heather hadn't said anything. Dante and Levi were two of the first males out that morning. Surely she could have said something and had them change before they left? If she was really Student Council, wasn't it her job to correct rules violations as she saw them? Or, ya know, maybe teach them what all the rules were so they could actually follow them?

Maybe it was just because she had a lot on her mind...

Something about her change in demeanor at breakfast when she tuned them out. Maybe she wasn't as bad as she seemed. If nothing else, it looked like there was more to her than just being an Alpha Bitch. Oh well, he could ponder more on that later.

"I still wonder why she's so intent on getting everyone kicked out. You'd think someone trying to be a hero would be more inclined to try to raise people up rather than knock them down. But maybe I'm just an idealist" He mused as he stretched his arms over his head. Things sure were a bit peculiar at this so called school for heroes. The gears in Dante's head were already turning as he tried to figure out just what was going on, while at the same time trying to figure out the unspoken rules to avoid breaking them. After all, he wouldn't get anywhere if he got kicked out. For now, he'd focus on staying within the lines, at least until he knew where they were.

Margate Aiest
power: Entropy
location: food hall?> medical office>audtoium Interaction: One Mean Ghost One Mean Ghost
Margate laughed at Dante's response giving a smile without the whole bearing her teeth part it was simply one to show she appreciated the joke and the gesture if even if the offer was more of a joke than anything else. " well ill be glad to do so if you think you can't deal with them yourself" she said this with a slightly teasing tone knowing that yeah most people probably wouldn't be crazy enough to actually bite a snakes head off. he went off on a tangent about traveling and gates margate just listened in she would have questioned it.but then the whole group had to get moving again, to the infirmary.

ironically for someone of her size margate actually really hated most medical exams or the like, especially if they had to use needles she couldn't stand those... they had to lift up her scales press the needle in.. then the doctor got drowsy and it was just a total mess luckily she didn't have to deal with any of that breathing a sigh of relief as she and everyone else and where then just told to wait there... in the empty hall, it was going to be awkward silence again she wanted to at least strike up some sort of conversation to alleviate some of the boredom. the only person she could think of was that Dante for lunch how happened to be talking to another boy... she didn't actually know the name of them. but she did want to know what he was going on about when he was talking about gates. she thought that was probably a good idea right? "hey Dante what were you on about when you were talking about gates? is that like your power or something?" she hoped Dante wouldn't find her question stupid or rude but from what she could tell he seemed to be a laded back sort of person so he probably wouldn't mind.

Alron
power: sludge mimicry
location: food hall?>medical waiting room>audatorium interaction: thespectacularstorm thespectacularstorm One Mean Ghost One Mean Ghost
Alron thought the current conversation was pretty funny he was sort convinced that the huge scaley girl probably had bitten a snakes head off, he wondered how living like she looked would feel the scales must have been a problem? of course, alron had scales every once and a while since well, morphing into a reptile, but like she was on a different level, and well the girl didn't look half bad either. regardless daydreaming about using his powers wouldn't help him at the moment.
" ill be honest I never understood why that ship had flamethrowers.. it was a civilian ship right?" he mentioned offhandedly when one girl mentioned xenomorphs weakness to fire, he never really understood they the ship in the movie had flamethrowers. not that this mattered much as they were then set to the medical room everyone got some sort of check-up except alron he was just skipped, it made sense considering his... well condition and lack of internal organs. so he didn't mind much just having to wait around for everyone to finish he got really bored almost falling asleep before getting ushered along to the auditorium then left alone, lovely and annoying. but for alron it wasn't so bad he had seen the boy he tried to talk to from the other day, unfortunately, he was lights out before he managed to strike up any conversation and he wanted to rectify that. walking up to the Levi he tapped the boy on the shoulder "hi again, sorry if I scared you? anyway i tried to talk to you yesterday but, well I didn't get the chance, my names alron by the way what's yours?"

Name: Marianne Odeletta Wintergreen

Location: Auditorium

Marianne's stomach felt full but a bit uneasy after that pasty meal. She sat there watching the others quickly finished their breakfast. Her eyes looking away and over to Heather who was messing with her bracelet again. She wondered if that bracelet was given to students on the council or if they would also get one down the line. Soon they were on the move again, leaving the dining hall and making their way over towards the medic. Marianne tried her best to remember the way towards the medical office, though it was a bit confusing and she would have to come back and retrace her steps to remember.

Reaching the medical office, they were all taken in for an examination. Mari disliked medical exams, they always made her nervous and very uncomfortable. Coming out of her exam she went over and sat down as the others had their turn. Soon everyone had their shots and exams and Heather gather them and took them off to their next destination. As they walked out the door Mari looked back wondering why two people were staying behind. She hoped they were okay and nothing had gone wrong.

Reaching the auditorium, which was also empty like the whole school she leaned against the wall as Heather told them what will happen next. Marianne watched as Heather left as now they were alone in an empty auditorium. As it will be a while until they were going anywhere Mari decided to have a seat on the ground. Sliding down the wall the blue haired girl took her seat on the ground, wondering what type of classes they were going to have.

After following the other males into the hallway, Darrick kept quiet at Heathers remarks, simply rolling his eyes as he followed her down the hall to the chairs. Taking a seat next to Dante, Darrick held his breathe and stumbled out of the chair as it stopped zooming down the halls and turns, hoping to keep the limited contents of his stomach inside of it.
"I really hope we don’t have to use those often….."
Darrick sat down and looked at the goo, that was suppose to resemble porridge he guessed, and swallowed the lump in his throat before forcing a few spoonful's down, not sure of when they would be eating next.
Following the others after their rushed breakfast, Darrick tried to memorize the way through the halls as best as he could, knowing he will be lost until he is provided either a map to study or time to draw one up himself.

Following Heather after the medic Darrick, looking and feeling flushed and rushed today, simply sat on the ground in the back of the auditorium, trying to mentally draw up a map of the route from their room all the way here. Hoping he would remember enough to try and create a small map back in the dorm to study later on.[/div]

Rosita Jimenez Choi
{Flame Control}
Location:: Cafeteria - Medical Office | Interaction:: Gomenesigh Gomenesigh

Rosita almost let out a laugh covering her mouth slightly to hide her faint smile. It was an achievement for the fellow even if he wasn't aware of it because getting a good reaction out of the Korean wasn't an easy thing to accomplish so quickly. He intrigued her with his memory process finding someone who can recreate a scene in their head a useful ally as long as he can keep it together but the extent of his usefulness was to be determined in combat. "Home..." Her expression softened into a blank stare feeling homesickness wash over her. They had only been gone a day but being so far from where she originally lived made it feel longer. The girl was close with her parents, closer than most kids this age and not having a way to contact them every day like she usually would was... unsettling. The brief moment of weakness only proved she was human with a heart, not a stoic judging robot but it was something they wouldn't see often. Mention of his mother did spark an interest in her mind from a past memory but she didn't have time to put it together as they were pulled to another location.

The trip was long and more dragged out because of how large the school was, which she still didn't understand because the place was clearly empty. There were too many questions to be asked and too many mysteries floating around them but maybe that was all part of the test too. To become a hero one must see without seeing and know without being told. These were just obstacles that she had to overcome if she were to become a respected hero. The journal she picked up and briefly skimmed this morning spoke of many things she didn't quite understand fully yet but she hasn't had the time to actually think about it. Different thoughts about how the school functioned crossed her mind as they made it to the medical unit, waiting patiently for them to cease their conversation to inspect the group. She was in the first group to go in listening to the small talk the assistant made before she was given a shot. Rosita didn't flinch or show any signs of fear or pain but internally her body was heating up from the sensation. Her eyes closed as the needle pierced her neck and opened again after a few moments to let it sink in. This pain was different, more consistent than an expected thing. She was having an internal debate with her mind and body over liking it or not but her expression was blank as she returned to the waiting room with the others.

“Choi, Everheart the...doctor would like a further examination, stay behind.”

Her eyes flashed to the assistant without turning her head, nodding in agreement as the others were lead out. There was something wrong with the two of them, that's why they were chosen to stay behind. The blind girl, it was obvious, she was a danger to herself and others if she can't properly function. Rosita was unstable to say the least and had many abnormalities in her genetics like allergies, her temperature imbalance, and the nature of her abilities. She sweats lighter fluid and spits bombs for god's sake. She watched as the blind girl found a seat in the empty waiting room glad she didn't trip so she wouldn't have to help her. "No," the short mixed girl said simply. "I assume it has something to do... with detecting an abnormality within us. The others are perfectly healthy and we... potentially are not. It's a doctor's office, not the principal's." Her breathing labored feeling the upper extent of pain surging down her spine. She clenched her fist tight enough that the nails would have dug through her palm withstanding the pain that tried to impair her. I have to stand this for an hour?? Fine then... Let's make it a game.. She let out an inaudible moan as she leaned up against the wall and a light pink blush rolled over her nose to her cheeks, opting not to sit because bending wasn't an option at the moment. Rather than looking vulnerable and pleading Rosita looked almost happy like she wanted more but that faded hearing an incessant noise in her ear. "Stop tapping... your foot..." All that rang through her ears was the steady echo through the quiet room of that girl's foot tapping against the floor and it made her want to scream. Her core temperature raised again heating up her skin to combat what was happening to her. Whenever she's distressed her temperature will either raise or lower completely out of her control based on whether her body feels the need to heat up or cool down. In the past, it's gotten as bad as cooling down to the point of her getting sick or heating up to the point of her melting things from touch. Right now she's probably 114 degrees.

Levi Garcia
{Mimicry Form}
Location:: Cafeteria - Auditorium| Interaction:: everyone in the auditorium

The brunet blinked a few times hearing what Johanna said. That must have been rough to live through but he understands the feeling better than a lot of the others here. They all seem like they came from a place of power to gain more while he came from nothing to be greater. This was his opportunity to turn his life around and get his mother out of the life she lived currently. She was the one who inspired him to become a hero in the first place seeing how much she cries at night when his father wasn't around. He would give anything, become anything, just to see her smile at him like when he was a child. The happiness of others was his main goal so if he had to eat slop, baby his classmates, and become more extroverted then damn it he was going to give it his best shot. "I hope you're right about that Johanna..." He said softly before they were lead to another place.

The trip was even longer there than it was to the cafeteria. He felt dizzy and disoriented being dragged every which way but he tried his best to remember some landmarks along the way. The medical bay was another thing that held a bit of normalcy since it looked like an ordinary waiting room but they were greeted by two others who wore the same uniform except black. The higher students they'd seen so far wore red and the basic students had worn yellow so he assumed black was for staff members. Maybe each department held different colors for their different jobs. It was hard to tell when their interaction with the locals was limited. Levi patiently waited his turn noting that pink-haired girl returning with a different kind of look on her face, as if she was hiding her emotions through clenched fists, and the others who went in before him coming back with no real changes. He wasn't unhealthy so the examination wasn't anything out of the ordinary, his only concern was his rather low temperatures but since the doctor had no problem with it he didn't either. He returned to the waiting room where two of them were required to stay behind as the others went on. I wonder why they had to stay... Maybe something other than the obvious is wrong.. He thought to himself as his group was guided to an auditorium.

Since they'd be starting classes after lunch he assumed lunch would be after this. If that was the case that guy was right, they needed to change. "The way we've been monitored and thrown around without a break I doubt we'll be able to get the chance to. Plus the dorms are too far away to get there and back without being gone too long and getting left behind." There was too much risk of getting lost to go run around the halls unattended and the way the school was set up everything was unaccessible to them without one of those bracelets. They probably couldn't leave this room without one. "I'd rather just accept my punishment and own up to the mistake than go through all that. Maybe they'll be a little more lenient since it's our first day and we weren't given clear enough instructions." Levi was a bit of an optimist hoping they wouldn't make him do something ridiculous or have them on punishment forever. It was a simple, easily correctable mistake after all.

His attention turned to another who tapped his shoulder, which threw him off because the boy was much smaller than he was. "A-Ah hey.. I'm Levi. Sorry we didn't get a chance to really.. talk." Too many people were calling for his attention and it was starting to make him unnerved but he didn't want to back down from his resolve to do better. "H-Hey.. Since we're all going to be here a while and u-ummm.. I figured we should all at least know each other's names if we're going to work together.." He spoke up to the entire group trying to include everyone in one big conversation so they could all get acquainted. "My name's Levi b-by the way I sort of forgot to mention that-" He started to trail off into a mumble nervous about public speaking and making mistakes. He looked uncomfortable and for such a big guy with a deep voice, he was rather intimidated by group settings. It was something he wasn't used to.

Arin Hendrix
Cafeteria/Auditorium
Superspeed
Interactions: Anyone and everyone

Upon being informed that Dante was referencing an old movie from the 1980s, Arin's confusion cleared up instantly. His response was a simple "Hmm." Rosita's statement also got Arin to file that little tidbit away, gears turning in his head. Gears that unfortunately got stuck once the entire group was whisked away to the medical wing as Arin tested the force binding him to the chair, finding it quite unmoving. Drat.

After the quick stop at the medical wing and then being dropped into the auditorium, there was time to think. With the majority of rules being unknown to him and no one being willing to clarify what any of them were on top of the seeming zero tolerance policy on rule breaking, they had their work cut out for them. With a quick sigh at having to repeat himself for the benefit of those not present the first time he gave his name, he spoke in response to Levi. "Arin Hedrix. I would say it's a pleasure, but given the circumstances..." he let himself trail off, bit of a bad habit. "For those of you who don't want to get expelled as quickly as possible, step lightly and gather information. Find out how things are set up and how they can be exploited. The other students have a head start, observe them and glean whatever you can from that. I'd advise looking for who's on top of the food chain and avoiding them where possible." He paused for a moment, looking around to his fellow newcomers. No doubt some of them already had the ideas he just voiced, but at this point he wanted to piss off Heather by giving everyone actual advice, even if it was redundant. "Try to stay unnoticed for as long as possible. Being noticed means attention and attention means eyes in your direction. The longer you go unnoticed the more you can learn before being forced into a situation that could lead to your expulsion. Learn who can be trusted to help before you need help." Another sigh. He knew he likely wasn't going to make it long in here, even on his best behavior. Arin remained quiet waiting to see if anyone had questions or otherwise if they were all just waiting for something to happen.

Clair was no stranger to meals of a goopy consistency but even still she found no pleasure in consuming the meal provided for her. The thick goop was sure to be filled with everything she needed in terms of nutrients but boy was it hard to stomach. Drinking water after every mouthful did seem to help with keeping the food down but at the same time Drinking two whole cups of water in such rapid succession did make Clair worry about how long it would be until they would be provided a toilet break. The banter at the breakfast table was flying and, almost, everyone seemed to be opening up and enjoying themselves. The majority of the conversation seemed to be focused around the movie 'Aliens' or 'Predators'. To be honest it was a bit hard for Clair to tell as she admittedly only knew of the movies and hadn't actually gone as far as to watch them. Needless to say, the whole conversation was lost to her. Not that she was too keen on talking first thing in the morning anyway.

After breakfast was wrapped up the students were admitted to the school clinic and had both shots and checkups administered before discharge. It seemed like a fairly standard thing all things considered. This being a school of heroes with combat classes and such there was obviously going to need to be enforced medical checkups. Kinda like how at the Olympics they test for doping. But then again just how standard were anti-allergenic booster shots nowadays?

Following the shot administration, the group was once again whisked off to another location. An auditorium by the looks of things. Soon after arriving the group was left to seemingly prepare for the coming classes. And once again a conversation was stricken up on all fronts. Small groups were already forming even if it was little by little. And the main cat so far atop the social hierarchy was most definitely Dante. The guy seemed to have no trouble cutting ice or making friends. He seemed nice enough but Clair wasn't one to take a person at face value. As time went on two students took it upon themselves to speak aloud. One voicing their opinion on the situation at hand and the other suggesting an exchange of names. With a soft sigh and completely ignoring the outburst of the previous student, Clair spoke up "Clair O'Reilly, that's my name."

“Everheart.” A woman’s voice rang out, her steps could be heard making their way towards you. She placed a hand on your shoulder letting you know that she will offer you help. “Let’s go. Up and to the left.” The area she was being taken too was different than the medical room she was just in. She could hear the automatic doors opening and closing, the feel the floor changed immediately into a metallic base. The woman guided her to the bed telling her to get up on it and wait for the doctor before taking her leave. Only a few moments later another door opens from the opposite direction. The person said nothing as he/she walked around the room. You could hear things being adjusted and movement in front of your face, but still no one spoke. Footsteps were heard walking away from you and the beeping of whatever futuristic devices could be heard. Then there was silence before a gruff low pitched voice sounded off to the left of her. “I’m going to touch you now….” two fingers could be felt on her neck, after a while it moved on to her collar bone, the man then pulled his hands away. “You're weak. I’m going to increase your meal intake. I can see what I can do about your eyes, that will take time.”

“Your next.” The woman didn’t bother to give Rosita any instructions, figuring she had paid attention to where the other student was coming out. The doctor's office was much darker in comparison to everywhere else they had been. The technology was still more advanced than what was on the outside world, it was becoming a theme across the school, and was even mentioned in the couple of pages Rosita had read earlier in the journal. She was still unable to make out some of the words, the devices in her neck probably needing time to adjust, or perhaps it was her own body that needed to make the adjustments. The journal was pretty basic, the writer was a young girl for sure. There was no mention of a plane ride, perhaps she travelled there on her own. Or maybe it was a part that hadn’t been deciphered yet. Whoever the girl was, she seemed rather excited about getting in the school. She wrote about the pods and how she stayed up all night figuring it out. Apparently you could keep a personal diary in there, instructions for your laundry, and send in request for breakfast, request or deny night duty, and get some questions answered.

Pip came through the door, his facing being more stoic than Erica’s, if that was even possible. His eyes were cold, every structure of his face was rigged and cold. He didn’t look towards the newcomer, instead making his way to the blue screens typing on a keypad at an inhuman pace. “Sit.” As rosita would take her seat the man unbutton his lab coat, revealing his bare skin underneath. He removed the coat, showing off his incredible muscles features as well some robotic ones. He made his way over to you his expression never changing as he raised to fingers to your neck. He removed them as quickly as he had placed them typing something in to a smaller screen that appeared out of his arms. “Show me your legs.”

Johanna didn’t even realize her feet were tapping against the floor, but they immediately stilled at the girl’s words. She couldn’t just sit still, though. She had to do something to keep herself focused. She changed to tapping her fingers together silently. She was still busy trying to think of the exact reason she was still there, but she didn’t get to think long. It seemed as if only moments passed when another voice called out her name. She awkwardly stood and didn’t move until the figure approached. She tensed when the hand rested on her shoulder, but she didn’t pull away. She stayed silent as they walked through the halls and reached their destination. She couldn’t help but wonder exactly where they were. She could tell it was different, even if she couldn’t feel around the room.

Her fingers probed the air in front of her until they touched the bed and she obediently climbed up. Her mind was buzzing with questions, but soon the voice had departed through the swooshing doors again. The silence didn’t last long, but it almost deafened her. Her heartbeat seemed too loud in her hears and her breathing was shaky at best. Another set of doors soon opened and she could hear someone else enter. It only made her more nervous as the seconds dragged on between them. Each time the figure approached, she flinched even though there was no contact made. Her hands wringed nervously in front of her until the voice called out again, the noise making her jump where she sat. “Wait…” Of all the things she had prepared for, being touched hadn’t really been one of them. She instinctively pulled away, but the fingers still pressed against her skin. The connection she had been dreading strangely didn’t come. It never failed that when she touched someone or they touched her, that their minds linked, but it didn’t happen with whoever this man was. She was partially relieved, but mostly confused. She didn’t really pay attention until he started speaking again.

“Oh, um. Someone gave me a list of all the things I could eat. I’m not sure where it is though. I couldn’t find it this morning… And no one knew exactly what that food was that we were given.”
Her head bowed at the last part. She didn’t know why she felt guilty, but she did. She really hadn’t wanted to take the risk whatever it was would make her sick. Her first day out of her parents’ grasp had resulted in that and it was extremely unpleasant. The memory made her shudder and she had to shake her head to rid herself of the thoughts. I can see what I can do about your eyes. Her fingers reached up and probed around her eyes. Was he talking about what she thought he was? “My eyes… What do you mean my eyes?” She didn’t even want to entertain the idea of her vision being fixed, for fear she would be disappointed. Losing her sight had always been one of her most painful memories. She missed it too much and regretted not cherishing things when she had a chance. Plus, her memories were also slowly fading, slowly being replaced by the awful things her parents had shown her. Even with all that, she couldn’t stop herself from asking, “Do you think I’ll be able to see again?

Anastasia continued to painstakingly slurp down the meal before her, slowly becoming used to the bland taste of the soupy substance. However the texture was something she would never overcome. Her focus shifted upwards as another student sat beside her, commenting on her distaste of the meal. He had a point no doubt, but this whole thing still seemed like a joke. "I know it's important to eat breakfast, but it seems fishy. We have all of this fancy technology but they can't afford to give us a decent meal? So stupid..." She ranted, banging her fist against her chest before bringing the entire bowl to her lips and downing the rest in one go, quickly following up with a desperate drink of water.

Not long after she finished her meal Student council princess spoke up again, ushering them all out of the cafeteria. Things moved rather quickly in this school and she found it hard to settle down. But better to keep moving than to waste away their time sitting idly. Anya followed quietly as the class traveled down towards the medical rooms, trying the best she could to remember the way they went. The school was just so large and complex it seemed so easy to get lost. That's probably why they haven't seen any of the other students, they too were lost in the halls. She laughed quietly at her own dumb joke before rolling up to their destination. The procedure wasn't that bad. Although not a fan of shots and the like, she managed to power through them with an iron will, thankful that her allergies didn't have to do with food. Once finished and reunited with the group, she noticed that some of the other students had to stay behind, mainly those with exotic features.

Finally they arrived at the auditorium and were given one more set of instructions from Heather before being left to their own devices. Almost immediately chatter broke out, her pupils making small talk with one another, a few speaking up above the rest. Walking forward she sat down in an empty seat and threw her feet up onto the the seat in front of her, waiting for whatever they were waiting for to happen.

Auditorium

Movement could be heard outside the entrance of the auditorium, it was faint but somewhat reassuring. The sound of others got louder, footsteps were heard coming in there direction. The auditorium began to fill with students, a sea of yellow flooding in, along with a few specks of blue. No one paid attention to the newcomers, they were more interested in finding their seats. Up on stage stood Princeton, behind the the trio stood waiting. A few more students darted in finding their seats. When it became clear that no one else was coming the newcomers could take in the student body count. Despite how big the student quarters were there was maybe 200 students at the most. Hero Academy was a very prestigious institution, it became confusing on why they would even allow reforms in to begin with. In fact it wasn’t clear who was a reform and who wasn’t, maybe their group were the only ones to have any. There wasn’t much talking amongst the mass of youngsters, a few whispers here and there, a cough or two, but it remained quiet. A screen the appeared on the wall of the stage and a song began to play. The students stood up as a montage of fallen heros appeared on the screen. A few moments later a list of names appeared which triggered the crowd of students too applaud.

"We tested you for allergies..." There was a pause in speech as Pip examined the screen coming from his arm. He walked over to the big screen a few feet away from her. Though he could move in almost complete silence her purposely made his steps audible. "You didn't eat the meal given to everyone. You will not be allowed to skip another meal." He moved back over to her, tilting her head back. "I can fix you, but it is not up to me."

"well nice to meet you Levi" alron smiled at him although he could sort of see Levi was a bit uncomfortable, seems that groups were not his strong suit alron felt sort of bad for causing him to be uncomfortable, but he did manage to get everyone to start talking so that was nice. deciding to follow along alron did the same addressing everyone "well if we all introducing ourselves I'm alron nice to meet you all" alron realized only afterward that drawing attention to himself MIGHT lead to some ridicule about his... shortness. luckily that didn't really matter too much since soon after the rest of the student body seemed to filed into the auditorium.realising it would probably be a good idea to take a seat and just copy what they were doing (after all copying was something of a specialty of alron's) just following along with what was happening not too sure what was happening, it seemed to be mostly ceremonial stuff hopefully. they would get to the important part soon? at least alron hopped so.

Once again Makoto found himself being dragged around by Heather, and while he initially appreciated the power vice she held over her posse and the students around him, Makoto was starting to get tired of her none stop bitchy attitude towards those she knew not the skill of. Still, he had no choice, so being dragged around he was for the time being. As heather explained they were going to see a medic Makoto groaned inside his own head. He had no need for a medic or doctor of any kind, he hadn't for a year. Maybe if he needed immediate surgery but if he was in that condition how was he going to get there? This seemed redundant but he needed to not cause a scene, at least not yet, so he resisted to urge to jump out the window and stuck his fidgeting fingers inside the pockets of the grey mess that others called clothing.

He didn't respond to the medical staff as he was examined, just did what he was told with a slightly annoyed resting bitch face. He didn't have any allergies as far as he knew and the examination back him up on that fact. He left the room and took a seat. Most would see a tattoo'd, silent, young adult brooding but the more perceptive would notice the finger on his knee tapping away like he was sending morse code. The abduction of his cards plus the dull morning was getting to Makoto so his hands were fidgeting like crazy despite the fact if you looked anywhere else you couldn't tell that he was perturbed at all.

His dancing hands shoved back into his pocket, the group moved once more. Up and down corridors they moved until they came to rest in a large empty auditorium. Looking around he could see some of the other students fatigued by the walking. If they wanted to become heroes walking around shouldn't be a hassle, he could see why Heather was so insistent that most people here wouldn't make it past a semester. It had only been about 10 minutes when the sound of heaps of shuffling feet could be heard moving towards their location. Makoto watched as a surprisingly low number of students made their way in and sat down around them.

As the screen flickered on Makoto was expected some sort of address, instead, a song started playing and Makoto rolled his eyes at the names scrolling through but one name in particular caught his eye. Makoto's face twitched as a smirk showed itself watching one name in particular go by. It was one of the heroes sent after his mother no less than a few weeks prior to this moment. He hadn't seen much of the fight but knowing his mother took down another hero before being taken into custody reminded him of the sort of person she was. He caught himself smirking, readjusted his face so it was back to being as plane as possible (tattoo's excluded) and continued to watch along with everyone else.

Marianne sat cross legged on the ground with her back against the wall. Quietly listening to the others talk among themselves. A few were talking about some sort of alien movie they had seen and about some flamethrowers on a ship. She was unsure what they were talking about, as she had never seen the movie. But continued to quietly listened as their conversation, it was very interesting.

Gathering her blue hair/tentacles she laid it over her left shoulder. She looked back over to the others as they slowly started introducing themselves to each other, starting with Levi. To which Marianne looked over towards them trying her best to keep a note on everyone's name. She noticed that everyone was just replying with their first name to which she figured she would do as well. After all maybe it wasn't the best to allow others to know if you were a reform student. "Hi...um I'm Marianne" she softly spoke up as she waved to everyone. Although kept her eye contact away from them all, unsure how she felt about others looking at her.

Soon the doors of the auditorium opened and a sea of students started to make their way to an open seat. Most of the students wore yellow with a few blue here and there. Mari decided to stand up from the ground as the auditorium filled up. Dusting off her skirt she walked over to one of the seats in the back row where they were to sit.

She was about to take a seat when a screen appeared and everyone stood up. Marianne looked around a bit confused. Looking towards the screen she noted a few names.

Rosita only nodded in response feeling the worst portion of the pain dissipate by the time she was called into the back room. She followed the woman to the room taking a seat on the bed as she was instructed by the odd man. He wasn't odd because of his stoic features but because of his robotic body. It was something she had never encountered, probably because modern science was not so advanced. He scanned over her with his eyes then with his fingers as any doctor would but the screen in his arm was a bit unsettling. How far ahead was this place to the rest of the world? It was something she was eager to find out. She spread her legs exposing her inner thigh as they stretched out for him to examine them. "Ah, how exactly does that work..? What are you going to do to me?" She was curious about what kind of examination or procedure he was going to perform on her and how it would work. He was someone she found to be more interesting than any of the others at this school.

Levi was glad people spoke up so he didn't look like a complete idiot. Things went better than he expected at least. He would've said a bit more maybe in an attempt to break the ice but students started to flood into the auditorium. There were tons of students and at the same time not as many as he expected. Then again, the auditorium didn't look like it could fit more than three-hundred max. Everything fell quiet as they filed in, completely bypassing the group of freshman standing in the back. No one offered guidance or assistance to the group they all followed their own tasks. Internally, Levi was relieved to see other faces rather than the same small group in this big empty school. Up on the stage stood some form of the council from the looks of it since they were the same people that greeted them last night. The lights dimmed a bit and a screen played a video of past heroes and current ones. He recognized a few of them from the news but that was about it. "This must be everyone's orientation but... everyone knew what to do except us..." He felt a bit down for himself since he had already made the mistake of wearing the wrong uniform but seeing how everyone just knew what to do made him feel worse. His expression did brighten a bit remembering that girl from the other day hoping he'd get a chance to see her if she were gathered here like the others.

Arin mentally chastised himself for his outburst, citing it as impractical and honestly more hot-headed than he would have liked. This place may get him fuming, but that is no excuse for losing composure in such spectacular fashion. Still, the damage was done. He didn't expect to be long for this school anyways. However, he had to wonder if he was the only reform student in the group. The tattooed fellow seemed the most likely as another reform student, though he could have sworn he'd seen that face before. Unfortunately, just as he was about to start asking questions, the mass of students filled in.

The in memoriam reel didn't really give Arin much pause. It was, after all, a list of heroes that had died within some specified amount of time. If there was a way for him to care any less, that would be an impressive discovery. Instead, he scanned the crowd of students. They all had the yellow uniforms on, and they all seemed rested. Oddest of all, though, there wasn't much chatter among them. Whether this was some incredibly well-trained group of teenagers, or the result of something else, he had no idea. At Levi's comment, Arin looked at him dead on. "I'd surmise they've been here longer, it isn't their first orientation. Even then, the deck seems to have been stacked against us. None of us could have known." The entire situation was very vexing. A few deep breathes later and Arin was back to being impassive, staring at the stage with intense apathy.
