Who believes in ghosts?


I do and I've got to say in actually quite fascinated with them. I've never seen one, but I've heard them bang and things like that.


If anyone wants to they can also share their stories on this thread as well.


If you don't believe in ghosts you can comment too. I don't mind

I believe in them. I believe in many supernatural things. I like to refer to myself as 'a strange mix of logical and yet illogical' because of it. But I have seen and heard of several things that make me believe in their existence. I don't really know if I've had an experience with them though.

I don't believe in ghosts, not in the traditional sense anyway. I find the idea, in real life at least, of souls trapped in the material world to be somewhat absurd. I do, however, believe in souls themselves, and I can't say I don't subconsciously wonder sometimes about the presence of ghosts. depending on how the room around me is decorated, I may even be frightened.

Really only because I have a fear of the dark, especially when I literally can't see anything. I then start imagining monsters and stuff in the room, even though I know that there are none ;-;

I believe in some kind of supernatural entity, sure. I've seen some spooky stuff. Things that I wish I could just brush off as my overactive imagination, but can't due to the frequency at which they occurred and the fact that I've had witnesses who also experienced it alongside me. Pretty sure my old house was haunted. Can't really say enough to claim if it was a spirit, or some hostile demon, or whatever.


I feel that brushing off the existence of something so far beyond our level that we can't even perceive it properly is a bit foolish, personally. Not that I knock anyone who doesn't believe, as I know some don't really have any bizarre experiences to back it up. Human knowledge and logic has all signs pointing to those as false, but for everything we've achieved as a species with said knowledge a lot of people feel that there's very little left for us to learn on a grander scale.

This is probably the best thing that's been said in this thread. Like I said before, I don't believe in ghosts, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. Just that I personally have no reason to believe they exist (And, admittedly, anything short of seeing an actual ghost probably wouldn't convince me otherwise)


It's entirely possible that ghosts wandering the physical world do exist, just like it's possible there could be alien life in the Universe. I'm not shooting down any ideas, we as a race simply don't have the tools and/or knowledge to perceive these things yet. Who knows, maybe one day we will, and I'll be proven wrong. I'd be cool with that.

I'm a firm believer in ghosts. I believe that there are ghosts among us and I have no problem with people that don't believe that. Its just hard for me to believe that there aren't other things among us

But in all seriously as other users have said, not entirely the majority of people's concept of ghosts do I believe in but rather spirits and perhaps corrupted spirits that still have a reason to be on this earth is what I believe.

i don't think ghosts exist but they still scare me. same with stuff like demons but i blame that on my overly religious background and mental health ( - w - 


i think the psychology behind (normal) people's experiences with ghosts/feeling or seeing another presence (especially of loved dead ones) is really interesting!! i read an article awhile ago that i wish i could find again, because i forgot a good chunk of what it said T _ T

Coming from a voodoo background, I used to see and experience a lot of things growing up that can't be explained in any "logical" way. I don't practice voodoo anymore and I firmly believe in the Biblical explanation that what we perceive as ghosts are just demons.

I believe in the possibility of ghosts being real, but I was raised to see them more as evil spirits and demons rather than creatures like Casper or Napstablook.

They are if you believe in God. When I practiced voodoo, demons are strong enough to send you across the room or kill you. If you believe in Jesus, the worst they can do is try to scare you once in a while.

I'm christian too, but, I've never personally seen/felt one irl.
