Fantasy Snow-Fire Academy for the Gifted

"Dullahan?" Asura thought pondering for a second "I've never actually encountered a dull-" Asuras train if though was suddenly interrupted. "Well if that isn't a calling I don't know what is" he spoke as he stood up to follow Lucia.

The lady he assumed was the headmistress completely ignored him, instead fashioning a megaphone and announcing the students he saw on the list. Why the hell wouldn't she just talk to him? Was it the witches magic affecting him, making him less noticeable? Or did she just ignore him? Baron didn't know which one to care more about. He lowered his hands and stood back up from his pose, his mood soured again. He guessed he would try his luck at the office, where he was apparently supposed to report. He picked the trenchcoat off the ground and started folding it while he walked, out of the lunchroom and looking for the office.

"Cool, sure."

Zoltar says as he heads back to the table he was sitting at. As he does so, he unzips his bag and pulls out a small-is laptop, and a USB cable mouse attachment.

"Proto, fetch me a coffee. I have things to do."

As the robot rolls off towards the vending machine, Zoltar boots up his laptop, bringing him to his Omega-Tech brand CAD software. He connects the mouse and pulls out some papers with various drawings on it, and starts replicating them in CAD (Computer Aided Design). After a minute or so, Proto returns with his coffee and places it on the table beside him before returning to its ball form. Zoltar takes a sip, enjoying the strong, earthy taste of the black coffee.

Vyra sighed as she walked through the halls of her new school. Golden spirit butterfly's fluttering all around her as she walked. Her hands held together gently as she headed for the lunch room. Honestly Vyra did not wish to be here, wanting to be back home meditating and practicing her skills instead of helping around others who would never understand her ways. Letting out another sigh as she entered the lunchroom to an immediete assault of Stares. Mostly from guys looking over her monk attire and her beautiful face but she brushed the looks away and ignored them. Honestly her attire wasn't as "revealing" as the actual monk attire she had. Of course she wore the monk robes but they had more. A white piece of cloth hung around her body hanging from the chest piece covering her mid section as well as a longer skirt like price of clothing. Unknowing one of her butterfly's had strayed from her and fluttered over to the boy on the computer, gently landing on the corner of the laptop and gently opening and closing its glowing wings as it looked at the guy

Zoltar instantly recognizes the butterfly as Vyra's, the Northern princess, and uses one of his hands to brush the nuisance away. It was getting in the way of progress, after all. Someone had to design a more efficient arm-cannon so it needed less energy and gave greater output, after all.

“Vyra? Your butterflies are loose again.”

Right after saying this, he takes another sip of his hot coffee. The coffee was clearly very strong, and was almost as black as crude oil.

Leonardo turned to look at Vyra "Damn... Cute n'all, but Royalty..." He stopped for a moment, and refocused as she walked into the Cafeteria, catching up with everyone.

Almost immediately after he spoke a soft sigh came from Vyra as she turned to face the boy known as Zoltar and calmly walked over as the butterfly fluttered back to its spot on his laptop. "For your information mister Zoltar. They are not my pets, these butterfly's aren't held to me against there will. They come and go as they please, which means they can go wherever they want." She told him softly with a calm and wise tone before her eyes narrowed a little at the lewd comment by the other boy she did not know. Turning her head to look at him she spoke with a striaght face. "Could you kindly not make comments like that about me? I'd really appreciate it." She said to him before looking back to Zoltar waiting to see how she responded to her words about the butterfly's.

Smoke purred softly and nuzzled her other hand. He licked Fallons leg and smiled playfully. Smoke liked Fallon too, even though she was older and much more mature, she was nice to him. She reminded him of his mother, and he loved his mother like every good boy.
Fallon smiled too. Smoke reminded her of Alexa, her non-biological "sister". He reminded her of how sweet and caring she was, how innocent, but also how amazingly thoughtful and loyal. To say the least, Fallon wanted Smoke around in case things got sticky with others. There was a loud announcement, and a few names were called, neither were 'Fallon' or 'Smoke'. So Fallon stayed where she was, stroking the back of Smoke's neck, content for the moment.

Josie strode into the office lobby. She turned, as a handful of students walked in. She counted them mentally. 'Four. Four? Four?!? I need FIVE!' she thought to herself. 'I'll talk to the other one later...'
"Afternoon, children." Josie said. "I am your headmistress. My name is Josephine Larsen, to you, Ms Larsen, or ma'am." She looked at the students. 'What a pitiful bunch,' she thought. A demon, obvious by the eyes; a skinny dullahan, she could see the seam in her neck; a flashy swordsman, Josie could see by the way he was dressed and the swords on his back; and a demigod, one who, by the looks of it, was not made from organic material, for she noticed when he crossed his arms in front of his chest, he creaked. "You are here for your gifts, am I mistaken?" The students all nodded reluctantly. "Well, you're going to have to multitask, for the world is going to end, and you four, plus two others, are going to be the leaders to save it."

"I'm sorry, the world?" He had the same face he had on when he questioned Elch. He, once again, was ready to flip his shit

"Yes, the world, buttercup," Josie said with such force only those who've been to war can while getting in the demon's face. "I wouldn't question what I say, or you might find yourself in some deep shit pretty soon." She got out of his face and said brightly to the rest of the group. "Now, any more questions?"

“Well, they’re still in the way.”

He says, chuckling slightly at the persistence of the butterfly. This is why he prefers robots to nature – they do what you tell them to, not the other way around. Proto sat obediently next to him on the table, not moving an inch, as its master kept working. Zoltar had to admit that while he preferred his creations, the natural world was somewhat fascinating.

As he hears the lewd comment, he sighs. He doesn’t look up from his screen at all, however – he was in the middle of designing a screw.

“Some people, eh? No respect.”

He was ready to quit the school immediately, assuming that the person running it all, right in front of him was an absolute lunatic, and trying to run some gang of children wearing tinfoil hats. However, the fright she gave him made him practically turtle into his neck, his horn shrinking a little bit.

Baron eventually found himself in the office, along with three others and then the lady showed up. She gave a whole speech about the world again, looked them up and down, and told off one of the guys about the world. "Yeah, I have a question all right! We're going to be "the leaders to stop it?" Don't you have anyone more qualified for this kind of thing? I mean, I'm very flattered you're slapping this on us, but that's just it. You're slapping it on us. What kind of plan is that anyway?!" He said with a bemused look on his face, the situation like a fantasy. "Oh no! Deep shit! Sounds like a real threat! The way you're putting it, we don't have much of a choice to begin with! Great start lady, real great first impression." Baron chuckled and starting clapping slowly. Sarcastically. Perhaps it was because of this lady's "tough" attitude he thought he should do a little mocking. Or maybe it's because he didn't like how she treated the one kid. Being surrounded by freaks and performers, he learned just about anyone would get in your face about something. And he didn't like it. h2h0e h2h0e

Vyra nodded in agreement as she looked back to him. "Men sometimes." She said back as she crossed her arms and glanced at him as a butterfly landed on his shoulder and walked around it a little while another one landed on his head. Honestly she didn't particularly like Zoltar, she didn't hate him either mostly because she was raised not to hate people. His views on the world were what she didn't like about him most though, how he liked machines and technology more than nature, though him being a control freak from what she had heard about him made her understand why he preferred robots over animals. The control of machines was perfect for a control freak, which from what she knew he was

“Yeah…we’re terrible.”

He says with a suave yet deferential smile to her. He didn’t mind her being there – he didn’t hate nature, so much as didn’t get along with it. After a few seconds clicking and typing some numbers into his laptop, he sits back with a sigh. Screws were always the worst to design. They were so intricate and annoying to get right, especially in CAD. Something about them didn’t agree with the CAD programming.

With a second of thought, Zoltar decided it to be best to see if the screws he already had were usable in the new design. With a crackle of bluish rift energy around his fist he teleports his famous arm-cannon to his hand. After a second of unscrewing, he closely examines it. Not before remembering his manners, of course.

“Oh, sorry. Was there something you needed, Vyra?”

Hearing his question as she observed his armcannon she shook her head. Being the girl she was that was the one thing she really did not like about him. His genius was all but unmatched and he used it to create weapons of distruction and death, but of course these thoughts had been implanted into her being since she was a child what with her being a monk and all. She still couldn't get over it and had to ask as she sat down in the chair across from him. "Why do you make such..... vicious things?" She asked him calmly as a golden butterfly fluttered to it landing on the rim of the barrel and walked around a little

“Well…my brains aren’t going to do much with a gun pointed at me, are they? Or whatever else the students have here…magic, a weird spinal cord whip…I need something to defend myself with.”

He decides to put down his equipment and parts to talk to her properly. With a simple gesture, he commands his robot to repair the arm-cannon while he speaks.

“You must have some sort of weapon or something, right? I mean, you’re a princess. What if someone wanted you dead?”

As he finishes saying this, he waves his hand causing the arm-cannon to disappear into a spacial rift that collapses again once the arm-cannon had vanished. No-one is quite sure where the portal goes, but Zoltar doesn’t seem fond of sharing the information.

Vyra simply nodded to his question then spoke. "I'm a master of most forms of martial arts." She told him bluntly as she sat there her hands held together as she looked him over. "But I mean it in the sense that. Knowing most companies like the one you work for... they will mostly likely wish to mass produce your creation and sell it to others." She said to him softly and carefully. She made it clear she wasn't intending to be mean or dis his company, she was just going off of the history of many others like his company that have only fuled the flames of war.

Smoke listened to the anouncement and put his head down in Fallons lap. He flashed her a toothy grin and said softly so only she could hear.
"So whos the lucky fella?" He was risking it he knew but if she said someone then he'd congratulate her and get over it.

“Well, I’ve had my inventions for a while now yet you don’t see them on the market. Besides, unless you have the ability to ‘teleport’ energy into it, you won’t be able to use it for long. And I don’t work for the company – my dad does.”

Zoltar takes another sip of his coffee, and then downs the rest of it since it was now cool enough. He was tempted to get Proto to grab another but it would probably seem a bit rude to.

“Despite what everyone says about me, I’m not evil or whatever. I’m just a scientist. Anyhow, not all my inventions are weapons.”

He says this with a smile as he locks his emerald eyes with Vyra’s.

"Oh look, someone who thinks that the world will save itself." Josie took a few steps until she was face to face with this guy. He was tall, but not as tall as her. "So you think you've been through more shit than the rest of us? You think that we haven't gone through stuff too?" She spit in his face as she spoke. "Well, boy, you're gonna have to be more practical and a little less flashy to save the world." Her eyes drilled deep into his.

Asura was a bit confused but his ability to adapt to strange situations was uncanny. "What exactly are we saving it from?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, there have been a lot of earthquakes, and more tidal wave changes, and more and more newer students. Eventually there will be a catastrophe, all of those factors leading up to it. I don't know what it will be," Josie looked at all of the students, one by one, giving each a cold look. "But there is a big chance that someone in league with Dr. Eggman is involved. You are here so when that catastrophe does happen, we can stop whoever is behind it. Now," She stopped pacing the room. "Who's gonna be brave enough to lead us into battle? And who's gonna be chicken enough not to?" As she said the last sentence, she Leaned in the demons face and spoke through her teeth.

Vyra nodded and calmly replied back. "I'm not calling you evil or anything. I'm just saying that if you did perfect this weapon of yours it would surely be taken by someone, weather it be your father or another person. To mass produce and feed the flames of war with.... just as my grandfather says. 'If you have no stick to reach for in conflict, you will always look for peace. But as soon as a stick is given to you to fight with, peace disapers and is replaced with vengeance.'" She said to him softly and wisely as she locked eyes with him as well. “I’m fairly certain no-one would be able to use this. I need to fuel it with the same power that a wormhole needs to sustain itself. Speaking of which, I really need to improve that efficiency…”

Besides, it wasn’t easy to use. The recoil could easily take control of your arm if you let it and the heat was unbearable if you didn’t have any heat sinks or gloves or anything. That and it ripped a hole in space more often than not when he used the most powerful mode – Doomsday.

“Besides, I’m sure my dad could easily make something like this if he wanted to or if he knew about it. If it was easy for me to make, my dad could make a better one in his sleep. Well, he would if he wasn’t busy with that alternate energy source…”

Zoltar says, nearly trailing off into his own thoughts, as he turns off his laptop. One thought did come to mind that he thought was weird.

“Say, you’re a monk, right? So why do your monk clothes barely cover anything? Surely that’s not a thing monks do? It’s definitely why other men are always disgusting around you.”
