In 1998 a massacre happened of great proportions. It was curious in its own way for it happened all around the world on the same fateful day and peculiarly around the same time.

A group of sleepy children woke in the dead of night to whispered orders from a body unseen, each with an ugly order to make do with their parents and escape. The night wind creaked each wall as the children tip-toed to the quite room left ajar, but quite it was no more as the sounds of screams ripped through the air.  Police arrived soon enough to take the now blood stained culprits into custody, but sadly the children didn’t remember a thing, crimson smears covered their porcelain skin as tears spilled from their doe sized eyes. Court took place and maybe it was their innocent stares or maybe it was the insanity under the surface, but they weren’t sent to jail. Instead they went to an asylum for children and teens. Somewhere where they can get the right amount of help to solve the problems voicing from within.

Finally you have arrived at your new home, since that night the voices haven’t spoken to you again, it seems their all you can remember from that night. So far the guards you have met are rude and oversized, but spare no time showing you who’s boss by throwing your things in your room and locking you in as quickly as possible.

~*~

What happens next is up to you, do the voices break through or does your true insanity happen to surface after all? Love, Happiness, a family are all outside of these walls… So, what can you smuggle inside your own?

((The creator of this rp hasn't been on in a couple days, but we haven't started and there's just a few of us, so I'd go for it :P))

Vexx stood in silence, his door looming over him reminding the feeble boy of where he was. Each day stolen by something he can’t even remember doing! The absolute bullshit of all of this is way too much today and it’s only the first day.

“Heh, already breaking.” He mumbles, taking a seat on the rock-hard satin bed. His room consisted of two beds, a counter that was supposed to be used as a desk and a god awful excuse as a chair sat in the corner where he’d thrown it earlier in a small fit of rage. Vexx’s hands managed to wrap around the back of his neck while his knees wrapped up to meet his chest.

“This is going to be a long day.” He whispered just as the lights switched on and the first voice of the day croaked out, “Time to wake up, worms!”

Dominic had been awake for a short while, reading some of his books and observing his roommate at the same time. At some point, he had been reading the same line over and over again, then he just decided to ignore the book and watch his roommate.

He watched the rage fit Vexx threw, and now watched him wrap himself up and rant to himself. He wanted to speak up, but didn't know what to say. To be honest, he was just a bit scared of the other, not to mention that Dominic had been afraid to speak before anyone else spoke to him first for his entire life.

He cleared his throat just a tad, simply a small cough whose purpose was really just to remind Vexx he'd been there before he spoke. "Are you okay?" he finally asked, his voice quiet and shy. He pushed his glasses up on his nose, a nervous habit of his. "You seem a little off, y'know?"

Victoria sat on her bed and stared at the wall with a blank face. She was thinking about why she was here. Why she would spend the rest of the days in this rotten run down slum that they called an Asylum. It wasn't fair. She didn't know what she did. All she could remember was the smell of iron, the smell of blood, shattered fragments of screaming. They said that she killed her parents. But she didn't, did she? She wasn't a murderer, she couldn't be a murderer. She loved her parents didn't she? Honestly she couldn't even remember. Victoria got up and touched the wall, feeling it buzzing and leaping underneath her fingertips. "Shh. Its okay, we will be okay."

Victoria sat on her bed, running her hand back and forth on the wall. She stared blankly at the fixed space of her 'desk' where a few of her books sat. She looked at the writing on the top of the books where the pages came together. 'VICTORIA DIAMOND' screamed at her in black sharpie from between the front and back covers. Her mind traveled to her brother, whom she hadn't seen in—what day was it? She was the worst at time. Victoria felt her anxiety levels start to rise, and while that was happening, she felt her knee start to bounce between her arm and the cold, hard mattress. Her eyes darted around the room, from wall to wall to floor to ceiling to door and back.

Her eyes flicked back to the books and the loud sharpie that screamed her name. She wondered if they did that to Dominic's books. Probably. Dominic must hate it; he always hates things messing up his books. He hates folded pages, marked pages, the occasional printing error that put ink blots in the wrong place on the page. But if someone wrote on his books? He's never been a violent person, but Victoria was nearly certain he might fight someone for that.

Victoria let out a sigh, putting a piece of pale blonde hair behind her hair. "I miss Dommy," she mumbled with a pout. "I never get to see him in this dumb place."

Verele looked up at the stark white wall as the stench of cleaner filled her nose. Her breathing was even as her chest rose up and then fell down softly. She lay there in silence, listening to the screams of others as she squinted her eyes at the wall to make it clear before relaxing them to make things blurry. Turning over to her side she as she grabbed her glasses and stuck them on taking them off before sticking them back on, doing this five times before she was content. Sliding off her bed she lifted her arms up above her body as she stretched, groaning in the process. Shuffling over to her door as she looked out the window of her door, angling herself so she could see down the hall, She turned the nob of her door five times, although to her dismay it was locked. "Locking me up as if I'm crazy." She mumbled. "Only crazy people say they're not crazy." Verele had this argument with herself almost every morning as if one day her words would hold some truth. Sadly this day was not the day as she waited for them to open her door and give her the small plastic cup full of colorful pills. She always hated the pills, feeling as if her body was out of her control when she took them. Though she knew for as long as they thought she was crazy she would have to take the cup of colorful pills or face the consequences.

Lilly was bored and angry that she was in the room with nothing to do so she decided to draw all over the walls with crayon and sing really loudly in a beautiful voice. One of the nurses who saw what she had done had smacked her. Lilly got even more angry so she bit the nurse on the hand really hard until she drew blood. The nurse screamed as other nurses and doctors rushed to Lilly's room and then all gathered together to tie Lilly to her bed. The doctor said to Lilly that she will stay like that until she learns to be a good girl. The doctor left while Lilly giggled because she was happy from all the attention she got from the doctors and nurses. "they must all love me. Why else would they rush to my room to see me? and to get me away from that ugly nurse who hurt me. Surely they I understood why I had to bite her." she thought to herself. Lilly began to sing away again louder this time so patients in the other rooms could hear her.

Vexx let a wry smile cross his face, "There is nothing off about me." He snapped, quickly turning on his heels towards the other male. "The only thing that seems to be off as you so kindly put it is that i'm in a mental hospital for a night i don't even remember! Doesn't that seem a bit more odd?" Vexx snarled grabbing for the doors handle and slipping out. The guard who yelled early stood firm in the lounge awaiting the presence of the young murderers. Vexx sneered at the thought, He hated this, he hated himself, and he wish he could remember, he wished he wasn't here...

"I'm sorry!" Dominic replied, his voice squeaking in fear and his anxiety through the roof. "I didn't mean it like that. I just... I dunno. The same happened to Vic and I and why am I still talking?" he continued, now mostly to himself out of nerves. He had followed Vexx out to the hallway and stood by his side, but not too close. His hands fidgeted and his eyes darted around the room. "I don't like this place..."

Vexx took a deep breath turning to Dominic, “I don’t like this place either,” He grumbled, his voice laced thickly with fear. “But, do the crime pay the time, right?” He chuckled darkly, taking a seat in the chair farthest away from the guard. No way was he going to be caught for some stupid stuff like talking. He didn't need a guard trying to show his authority by beating on him. Vexx suddenly hoped that the boy from his room wouldn't sit by him, he didn't need friends either.

Dominic just nodded, following Vexx and sitting next to him. He didn't speak again, though. He was too scared; lord knows how long he had been trying to talk to his roommate before he was actually able to do such. He also felt, for some reason, that it would be safer if he didn't speak. To be quite honest, that's what Dominic felt all the time. But perhaps he was right this time. His eyes once again started darting around the room, his fingers tapping on his thighs, and his lip being chattered on between his teeth. He wondered how long he would be here, and then wondered if he would ever make any friends. He had Vexx in mind, of course, but that seemed like a long shot. The pair of them just seemed so... different.

Victoria skipped down the hallway to the lounge, humming a tune to herself. Once she arrived, she sat uncomfortably close to Dominic, who tensed up and couldn't seem to relax himself. "Dommy! Who's this?" she asked excitedly, pointing to Vexx.

Dominic just shook his head, not answering her. He put his index finger to his lips to indicate to his sister that she needed to be quiet. Fat chance of that working out.

Victoria walked solemnly down the halls, the stark white walls jumping out at her and the lights flickering in front of her eyes like pixies in a garden. She giggled and reached out to touch them when she heard someone yelling. Someone was trying to scare her pixies away, it wasn't fair, her pixies wanted to be with her but someone is trying to take them away. Just like they took her parents away. Growing angry she spun toward the noise with a snarl on her face. "SHUT.UP." She yelled, causing one of the guards to grab her and throw her into one of the chairs for breakfast. She could feel the throbbing marks of where he grabbed her and her anger subsided, the pain bringing her back to reality, that she was in an Asylum full of crazy people for doing something she didn't do. It was stupid. She heard people talking to the left of her and turned slightly to look curiously.

Some nurses and doctors came to and untie Lilly "You will eat breakfast with the rest of them like a good girl! Then you will get medicated. No funny business" Lilly smiled and nodded as she was being lead out the door to breakfast. She saw Victoria "Shut up? did you just tell me to shut up?" She inquired. @BoundByWords

She sighed and turned toward the girl like she was a fly on the wall. "Yea, I did. What are you gonna do about it?" Victoria said in a bored tone, crossing her legs and resting her head in her hand.

Lilly just smiled "Nothing of course. I am dreadfully sorry for yelling so loud and causing you distress. Allow me to introduce myself I am Lillian Howard but please do call me Lilly please to make your acquaintance...And you are?" Lilly said in her overtly polite British voice without  missing a beat.

I'm not buying it that's who I am.

"Victoria. Victoria Grey." She said with untrusting eyes. This girl seemed to be off. There was just something wrong about her. Maybe it was because Victoria was literally in a mental asylum full of people who seemed off but that was just her feeling at the moment.
