Six-String Samurai :: Fate RP

Flawed Antagonist
((I posted this in the Fandom thread as well. This is a repost))

Lately, I've been rolling around an idea in my head about running a game based on the movie Six String Samurai. It's campy-high action; and the dialogue heavily encourages one-liners. After asking around, the best option for the system to use I've found (that I could get access to) is the Fate system.

For those that haven't seen the movie (go watch it - trust me), the brief premise is as follows ::

>> In the 50's Russia dropped the bomb and desimated the U.S. Eastern America is a wasteland, and Las Vegas, renamed Lost Vegas, is declared the new capital. Elvis is crowned king. 40 years pass, Elvis is dead, and Vegas needs a new king. Every sword-swinging musician is racing to Vegas to claim the throne.<<

The setting can be anywhere between the midwest to the pacific coastline. I'd be running the timeline parallel to the movie - so world events will be effected by movie events. You can be pretty much anyone in the world-setting, just note that technology ceased between the 50s and 60s (so computer technology isn't a thing, and radar is probably the highest level of technology available).

As a GM I'd be posting at least once a day. I like well written posts, even if it's only a paragraph. Active dialogue can be shorter, but I shouldn't have to wait for more than a day for a dialogue response. Also, when combat happens, I'm open to people posting a turn ahead.

>setting ideal for oneliners

>no oneliners allowed

Pretty much up my alley, though I'm what you might call a lowbrow roleplayer.

Onleliner dialogue is ideal. But there's enough in the setting and action that a paragraph is pheasable.
