Gabriel barely had enough time to strip out of his duster and toss it behind a bush before Harian was off. He quickly did a check of his person, making sure the small arsenal of concealed weapons was still in place. He moved towards the fog Bank after the others, his movements changing as he went, becoming more fluid. Before he had fully disappeared into the swirling gray, his footsteps had already become inaudible. His passing disturbed nothing of the world around him, even the fog seemingly untouched by his presence.

He easily caught up to the others, silently darting across the distance unseen. He crouched next to young Nero, listening for any sign that they had been detected. When he was relatively sure they were unnoticed, he relaxed slightly.

"I've never actually fought a gargoyle before. A surprise attack may work but we would have to be quick and precise, going directly for the softest and most vital parts of their body. My first thought would be the eyes. First things first, we should disable any mundane security measures they might have. There should be a small, plastic junction box on the outside of the house, most likely somewhere close by. I'll need to access it directly to bypass any cameras or motion detectors."

Ayramis shook Hayle’s hand gently. “Ayramis, no I don’t think we met in an official capacity.” He responded. “Thank you for the save before. A few scratches and bumps are expected when we’re trying to save the world. So no worries.” He explained with a warm smile. When he shook her hand the temperature of his plummeted. But it wasn’t something he balked at. He only took it as confirmation that she wasn’t human. She was different, and he understood what it meant to be different. He smiled genuinely, knowingly, and kindly. Whatever she was, it was her business, and hers alone until she chose to share.

Ayramis turned to the rest of the group. “Some should go place the other figures. I will help Hayle with the distraction. Once she does her ice thing, I can pull something down to help keep the guards attention long enough for you three to get past them.” He said confidently then paused looking at the guards once more. “Hopefully” he corrected himself as he turned to the others. He walked a few steps away from everyone “I just need a bit of space, and concentration.” He said as his eyes began to glow a pale green. He squeezed his hand shut tightly and blood began dripping onto the floor. He began chanting under his breath, his Jackal seemed to stand guard beside him. The blood that dropped to the floor began to move and take shape, forming hieroglyphs at his feet. They formed in a circular pattern. Building on each other, spreading out till the hieroglyphs made a 3 ft circle of writing. A half foot circle of blank space in the middle. His chanting continued, the Jackal pacing back and forth. It’s eyes glowed and it opened its mouth to bark, but instead Ayramis’ voice came out. “I’m pulling help to us. But it will take a short while, please begin preparations. By the time the ice queen has gained their attention, I should be done here.” The Ayramis informed them, speaking through his Jackal.

He nodded at Harian in response to her compliment, the fog was already causing some chaos down below. He then watched the human Gabe and Ayramis bicker back and forth about the dangers of the mission as if it wasn't obvious to everyone. The conversation seemed rather dull and redundant until the mention of the Egyptian God being judge and jury rather than executioner. Hino's eyes dropped to the ground and he felt the knot in his stomach grow with guilt. Judge, Jury, and executioner ringed in his head. He felt his hands curl into fists and begin to tremble unconsciously as his vision went black. Oh no, not now... The spray of the ocean hit his face. He could hear loud, chaotic screaming that sounded as if it was two feet in front of him. It was a woman's voice. She was asking for something but he couldn't quite make it out. It didn't matter, though, he already knew what she was saying. The flashback began turning more vivid now, he was starting to see colours and the rough outline of a ship. He needed to get out of the memory before he saw anything else. His heart was pounding in his ears, which he began to focus on. He began to play Mambo No. 5 to the beat of his heart. A little bit of Sandra in the sun, a little Mary all night long, A little bit of Jessica here I am, A little be of you makes me a man, he sang in his head.

By the time the song was over his heartbeat had significantly slowed down and his breath was now steady. Hesitantly, he opened his eyes. His face was dry, there was no more screaming, nor was there a woman. It was just the group of unqualified misfits who had been tasked with murdering the supposed Anti-Christ. The Thunder God breathed out in relief. This was a far better reality than the one he just expereinced. It had been a long time since he had last had a flashback, not since he first started isolating himself from contact with others. Fortunately, his old grounding technique still worked and though he was still quite shaken, he knew had to pull it together for the task at hand.

It had appeared that the pair had quit bickering and people were breaking into teams. Hino watched as Harian, Gabe, and Nero vanished into the fog on their stealth mission before turning to face the rest of the group.

"I would place the figurines, but I think I would be of better service in the... uh... greeting party. Those guards look like they are coated in metal, I should be able to do quite a bit of damage. And speaking of doing quite a lot of damage," He then looked to Hayle, "It would seem that our abilities are compatible with one another. If you drench them, I'll fry them." His voice was a little shaky, but nothing he couldn't just blame on nerves.

Harian: 20/20hp

Harian nodded, the only visible part of her void-like body was her brilliant green cat eyes.
"Good plan kid."
When there was a sizeable hole in the barrier Harian crept through.
"Don't touch the sides." She told them as she crossed into the back yard. "You'll likely get incinerated."
Why had the only two mortals come? She wondered this to herself, but then considered, if they were here, they were away from the trouble in the front yard, and she could keep an eye on both of them.
On Gabriel's description of the box Harian began to slink around the side of the house. She found it, tucked in a corner by one window.
She shrank down to a squirrel and started to scale the brick, getting up to the box and waving her bushy tail to catch their attention.
That was when things went to Hell.
The ground shook as something huge and heavy dropped down beside her. The Gargoyle stood on it's hind legs, coming level with her. It's foul, humid breath made her fur frizz.
"Oh..."
She dodged just in time to hear the wall explode directly where her head had been. The gargoyle's fist cracking stucco and concrete as it pulled free again. By some miracle the box she had been perching on was still intact, if a little dented.
She raced across the green as the beast turned it's full attention onto her and it's back to Nero and Gabriel. How the hell had it spotted them?! She didn't have time to think however as a second gargoyle leapt from the roof to give chase.

Something changed in the behaviour of the gargoyles in the front yard, but it was too foggy to see well.
"I think that's our cue." Jophiel said.
He started forward, crossed the road brusquely, but not at a run. There was nobody on the street by then, but caution was always a good idea.
The sutra dissolved the barrier like acid, opening a decent hole. Jophiel held his hand over the locked gate and there was a simple click.
"I will go and place the rest of the figures. That is about all I can do for you. Good luck." He said as he stepped back. The gates swung inward and at once, all three gargoyles and the automaton figure turned to them.

Gargoyles (3 in the front, 2 in the rear of the house)

These beasts are big and powerful but slow. They will only hit if they role a 5 or higher. Otherwise the damage is zero and will be reflected as a miss. They can attack one target at a time.
Ice and water attacks will do double damage ( GamerCarrot GamerCarrot this means your character gets to roll 2 D6 each turn when attacking the gargoyles (not the automaton, that's just 1 D6)).
Gargoyle 1: Closest to the gate, will likely try and engage the first target to cross into the yard.
Gargoyle 2 & 3 are standing on either side of the fountain in the central part of the yard.

Gargoyle hp = 15, attack = 1 D10

This foe is lightweight and fast. It will be able to attack 2 targets each turn but has no area of effect attacks. It fights with it's razor-sharp wings and a blade in each hand. Its attacks are physical and have no divine or demonic auras. Divine energy has no effect on this enemy. Electric attacks do double damage ( KhazTheGiraffe KhazTheGiraffe Hino gets to roll 2 D6 each turn when attacking the automaton)

Automaton hp = 25, attack = 1 D10

Hayle was a bit surprised when Ayramis actually took her hand, normally people were hesitant to touch her since she was so cold but he didn't seem to mind in the slightest. It actually made her happy that he didn't pull her way instantly but letting go she smiled at him appreciating that he was going to help her with the first distraction "It's a pleasure to meet you Ayramis, maybe once this is over we can get to know each other a bit better." She asked, she wanted to get to know everyone on the team but only once they had a breather in between battles. As he started doing what ever it was he was doing she chose to stay silent so that he could keep his concentration.

As Hayle moved to focus her magic on the fountain she was interrupted by someone telling her that their powers could work well with each other, looking at the creatures ahead of them she nodded "I'll try my best to drench them with my magic although freezing water is easy thawing it is a bit harder." she smiled as she looked at the our enemies ahead of her. Her eyes were immediately drawn to the gargoyle standing guard at the front gate, since the fountain was quite a bit away from it Hayle pulled a water bottle out of her bag and opened it. Pouring out the contents she froze the contents, smirking she lifted her hand to move the puddle of ice up into a sharp spear. Looking at her target she snapped her fingers and broke the spear up into multiple shards of ice, taking a deep breath in she concentrated for a bit before taking aim. Flicking her wrist she sent a shard flying towards the gargoyle but she didn't take into account that the gargoyle was going to start moving just as she shard flew straight past his face, feeling her face heat up in pure embarrassment she flicked her wrist again and sent it flying into the gargoyles back. She was so embarrassed that she had missed and prayed that no one had seen her fumble when she usually had better aim than this.

"Fair enough,"
He told the Ice woman. Hino then watched her impressively use the fountain to make deadly shards of ice and launch them with immense focus at the gargoyles, only to have her miss her target with every single shard. He looked at her with both bewilderment and concern.

"Right... Why don't you stick with the gargoyles... and if you need help, yell out," He felt a little uncertain leaving her on her own, but she handled herself quite well in the fight with the demon so perhaps this was just a fluke. Unfortunately, the mistake had no cost them the element of surprise. The gargoyles and the Automaton guard had now turned their attention to Hino, Ayramis, and Hayle. The Egyptian god, however, was still chanting and it was clear he needed more time for his plan, which the Thunder God was willing to give. Hino leaped from their recon position and landed at the front gate. The automaton was far more intimidating than it was from afar. He could now see that its blades on either hand and its razor sharp wings gave it a clear reach advantage against Hino. It would be best to attack it early and from a distance. He would have to trust that Hayle would be able to deal with the gargoyles on her own and that Ayramis finished up whatever he was doing quickly.

Hino closed his eyes and began summoning an energy from deep within. In the sky, a single cloud began turning a tanzanite purple and funneling above his head. A continuous bolt of lightning struck from the center of the funnel and met Hino's outstretched hand in the sky. He held it there for a few moments before opening his glowing blue eyes and turning his gaze to the automaton. The Thunder God extended his left hand and pointed his index and middle figure at the giant, metal creature. In an instant, Hino closed his right and into a fist and unleashed the full power of the bolt of lightning with his left into the chest of the automaton guard. It left a sizable hole as it was launched into the side of the house.

Ayramis could feel the others spurring into action, but could not waver his attention. The voices in his head stirred as he called upon the energy of the dead. He could see the others through his jackal’s eyes. The blood on the ground glowed green, the empty space in the middle of the circle became a swirl of green and black. He smirked as he finished his chanting and he turned to the rest of the group. Behind him the swirl of energy grew to cover the whole hieroglyphic formation, effectively turning it into a portal. Erie blackness lay beyond, as two bright green eyes pierced through. Seconds later decrepit hands pulled through. Old bone and sinew, with tattered wrappings around a hand and arm pushed through. Another hand and arm followed, Kopesh sword in hand. Two animal ears pushed up through next, one torn at the tip, the other worn on the side with a rusted earring through the base. A mangled snout, in a perpetual sneer. Showing aged canines and a powerful jaw. Followed by a lean body of bone and sinew. Out came a decrepit looking Jackal headed warrior. Strength radiated from it’s body and cunning behind its eyes. It was big enough to tower over Ayramis. At least 7ft tall at the head, not counting its ears. It had one job, and it knew how to do it well.

Go” was all Ayramis said before he started walking towards the front gate. The warrior grunted as it took two steps then leapt over Ayramis’s head. Ayramis noted that the shards missed their initial attack, with a few shooting back at the first gargoyle. It seemed to now be closing on hayle. The Jackal fighter kicked open the front gate the rest of the way. Blasting it off its hinges, the gate flew past the gargoyle and clipping it’s wing, to hit the fountain. Breaking the central figure and spraying water all over. The Jackal glared menacingly at the first gargoyle closing in, and the second nearing the fountain. Slowly but surely making its way to them. Ayramis winced as lightning clapped the guard near the house. He managed a glance at the staggered automaton before turning his focus back to the two gargoyles. His scarf began to unfurl, making its way to his hand and hanging loosely. “This is gonna be fun, really fun.” He said aloud as he readied himself.

"So much for the quiet approach..."

Gabriel darted out from behind from the cover they had been knelt behind, making a beeline for the enemy. He had precisely zero experience fighting gargoyles and had almost no idea what he was going to do when he got there but it was most likely going to be stupid and reckless.

As he drew closer, he pulled a thick black metal spike from a pouch on his leg, holding it in a reverse grip.

This is easily one of the dumbest things I've done recently.

He jumped on the things back, wrapping an arm around it's neck and driving the metal shaft into a soft spot on its neck. He leapt clear from its back the instant the bulky monstrosity let out a cry of pain and rage. He now had its undivided attention. Wonderful.

Gabriel landed on his feet, by some miracle, and drew another spike. It was going to be a long night.

For the most part, Falarion was quiet during the planning and merely continued to watch their enemies with an odd sense of fascination. He had never witnessed any monsters in his own life beyond lowly demons. In fact, now that he thought about it, he did not think anyone had given name to these monsters that they would soon have to fight. It seemed yet again that it was being assumed that everyone already knew what they were. This disheartened Falarion, who now kicked at a weed and became anxious. He did not want to ask the entire group and reveal his ignorance to them, as he had no idea just who would judge him.

Though, Falarion was happy to overhear the albino-like boy's name spoken by Jophiel, as he was now able to put a name to another face of the group. Nero. It was an odd name to Falarion, but he happily practiced saying it in his head a few times while eyeing the young man. While Jophiel handed him a pen, Falarion shared the same confusion at how such a thing would be useful in this coming fight. Jophiel seemed so serious though, that Falarion kept his thoughts to himself.

Not too long after, the ice woman introduced herself to another of the group and Falarion could not help but smirk at her name. Hail. It was very ironic and he chuckled quietly to himself about it. He still did not like being close to her because of how cold she was, literally, but he had to appreciate the fact that she was one of the stronger fighters of the group.

Harian announced shortly after that the scouts were to move out and she soon vanished into the fog along with a few others. Falarion sighed now, as he realized it was simply a waiting game until the scouts returned. That, or until something went wrong and then they would be forced to charge the guards. Falarion kind of hoped for the mishap scenario simply because his patience was wearing thin and he wanted to do something.

Just as Falarion was going to suggest he place the figurine he had brought, he sensed a difference in the air like Jophiel did. He glanced around, but could not place what was different now. Perhaps the scouts had experienced the mishap scenario. When Jophiel said he would help place the figurines for them so that they could focus on the guards, Falarion sighed and said, "Makes sense," while he handed over his figurine to the angel. He had not seen Jophiel do much in the last fight, albeit he had been rather injured at the time, but he assumed the angel was not much of a fighter.

Chaos soon erupted as several of the group began the attack against the guards. Falarion hung back for a moment to see what each was going to do and flinched when lightning struck the more intense-looking of the guards. He decided it was probably best to avoid that enemy for now. Hail attempted her best to attack one of the animal-like monsters and then Ayramis' summoned fighter did his own attack as well. Falarion figured he had less of a chance of friendly fire if he went after the one guard that none had directly attacked yet.

Pulling out his bo staff, Falarion raced through the open gate and gave the first enemy a wide berth before he leapt on top of the rubble of the now broken fountain. He eyed the oddly winged enemy before him and then leapt out, flipping over the enemy while also thwacking him upside the head with unreserved strength. When Falarion landed behind him, he blinked in surprise at the minimal damage he had done. He took a couple steps back, as he began to regret putting himself in harm's way like this.

Unlike in their previous encounter with the plague demon, this time Nero didn't shy away from the danger they faced. He'd just slipped past the barrier when the booming crash of the gargoyle landing and slamming the wall sent the squirrel that was Harian fleeing from the junction box.

It'd be entirely irrational to run up on one of the gargoyles empty-handed, or to simply get close to one in general. He'd seen what the gargoyle did to the wall. A blow from one of those fists could kill him outright if it hit him in the right place, yet they had to do something if they wanted to protect Harian. "I'll hit one if you hit the-" Gabe was gone before he could finish, soon riding the back of one of the gargoyles. Now he'd have to move quick. A glance to each of his sides, then to his rear, offered what he needed for now; hidden within the hedge was a portion of the wall, collapsed due to age with one of the rods of the iron fence sticking upright. He lunged for it, ensured that the tip hadn't been too dulled with time, then immediately turned and hefted it above his shoulder as he would a simple wooden spear.

"Hey!" Nero called out loudly towards the gargoyles. The one that Gabe hadn't ridden like a jockey turned it's attention only somewhat towards him, but it was enough - with a few sprinting steps forward he threw the iron rod like a makeshift javelin across the yard, sending it soaring right into the thing's eye. It wasn't deep enough to kill it - if the things even had brains in the first place - but it would be enough to make it hurt.

Harian darted in. She ran straight under the creature's foot and turned into a tortoise. The Gargoyle tripped and went stumbling backwards into the barrier surrounding the house. Its clawed hand hit the magic and seared its stone-like skin. It jerked away and snarled, but Gabriel had posed the larger threat.
The gargoyle lunged, but its speed was slow, phased by the first attacks, it was easily dodged.

The second gargoyle tore the spear from its face and snarled, slashing the ground with a sharp taloned paw before charging straight for Nero, but its wings in the narrow space made awkward running and it too could be easily side-stepped.

Ayramis cursed as he jumped back and tripped over his warriors foot. The gargoyle swiping as it sailed past him, managing to leave a gash on his arm, missing his face. As he fell, he whipped his scarf around, the hieroglyphs pulsed as it took shape and wrapped around the gargoyle’s leg. Slowing it momentarily before releasing again. That moment was just enough for the warrior to swing its blade around. Tearing the gargoyle’s wing and landing a cut along its side. Throwing it off balance as Ayramis began to get to his feet. “That wasn’t very nice!” He exclaimed at the snarling gargoyle. His back was now to the fountain, as he began circling. Trying to keep the others in his line of sight. He switched the wrap/scarf to his bleeding arm. The glyphs pulsed as it wrapped tightly around the bleeding gash, but with plenty left in his hand to use as a weapon. His warrior took a step forward, putting itself partway between Ayramis and the attacking gargoyle. It snarled and snapped. Sounding almost like a rabid animal, waiting for an opening.

Gabriel watched the beast fall, taking particular notice of the damage caused by the barrier and decided it would probably be best to stay as far away from that as possible. He had no time to plan out anything as it was quickly back on its feet. Obviously disoriented, it's movement lacked the momentum it had out on display moments before. He spun out of the way, the charge missing by inches. Gabriel used the closeness of the near miss to his advantage, driving the second shaft of metal into the bend of the things right leg.

He glanced over at Harian, only a few feet away shot her a smile. The speed of her changes were quite impressive.

Falarion cried out in alarm when Ayramis tripped and then the gargoyle attacked him. He seemed to be holding his own, but Falarion could see the gash from here. He was not entirely sure just how immortal everyone was in the group and he did not want to see anyone felled.
Alas, he had no time to react and help Ayramis, as the third gargoyle charged at him.
Well, it tried anyways. Falarion just felt a sudden rush of air beside him and flinched before watching the gargoyle instead charge into a nearby topiary. He stared in disbelief and then realized he was way too distracted right now. He had to focus and help his team.

Just as he tensed and was preparing to lunge for the topiary gargoyle, he heard metal clanking behind him and froze. His heart went into his throat and his inaction led to his injury. He turned too slowly and gasped as the metal monster slashed through his side with a clean cleave. Falarion briefly choked on some blood and doubled over before stumbling back against the fountain rubble. He used one hand to clutch at his bleeding side while the other helped him lean against the rubble. His bo staff had been dropped and was now several feet away from him. He winced and gasped for air, each breath sending spasms through his side. He grit his teeth and narrowed his eyes. He was not about to be bested by this metal monster, not after surviving that demon war eons ago.

With a grunt, he stood up and stumbled forward before righting himself. He stared down the metal monster and then dropped his bloodied arm to let his side wound flow freely. There was not much he could do about it right now anyways. As he had done many times before, he locked away the pain in his mind, leaving it to be dealt with after the fight. Adrenaline coursed through his veins, his heart pumping faster and faster. His vision darkened at the edges, but he blinked and focused anyways.
Leaning forward into a sprinter's stance, Falarion let his arms dangle a moment and then tensed. Suddenly, he lurched forward, leaving two small cracked craters in his wake. In a flash, he was flying forward, leaping with all of his strength and heading straight for the metal monster with a speed that could rival its.
A moment later, he was at its side and his bo staff was in hand once more. He screamed out his anger while he thrust the staff into the metal monster's armpit, which had been one of its few weak points. With a quick lurch, he leapt backwards while pulling his bo staff free of the monster.

Falarion danced back several more meters before he clutched at his side again, worriedly eyeing the blood soaking through his jacket now. His head was pounding with the beat of his heart and he swayed a moment before righting himself once again.

With his only weapon now on the ground behind the beast, Nero would have to play things off carefully. He'd seen how the barrier affected Harian and Gabe's gargoyle and decided that it could do the same to his. Hastily yet with as much composure as he could muster up, he backed up as close to the barrier as he could manage and calmly stared down the creature while it charged. When it was almost within arm's reach was when he nimbly ducked out of it's way, sending it barreling past him and into the barrier instead.

The gargoyle sizzled and howled behind him, but it wasn't the time to look back and see just how much damage it had done. Nero darted towards the iron rod where the gargoyle had left it, only a short distance away from his companions. He stole a quick glance at the two of them, making sure that they were both doing okay and steeling himself for another attack. "These things are tougher than rhinos!" he called out, observing the gash in the ground and the indented footprints they left behind after a charge. "Probably stronger and heavier, too."

Harian rolled out of her tortoise form and back into a human, crouching in the grass.
She made a face at Gabriel's inclusive good humour. "Team huh? Well, I guess it's better than dying."
In that short time, the gargoyle they had been fighting had recovered enough to turn. It lunged faster than Harian had expected, and Gabriel was in its way.
"Look out!"
She hadn't thought. She was moving before that could happen, taking the only form she knew would stop the beast:
Her skin became stone, her body grew, massive bat-like wings sprouted from her back and a tail lashed behind her. A beak-like muzzle sported dagger-sharp fangs and thick, ropey muscles corded long, bare limbs. It was like looking at a statue come alive, more carved and elegant than the slathering beasts that fought them, but a gargoyle, unmistakably.
Harian The Gargoyle clashed with the charging creature, talons locked talons. Her clawed feet pressed hard into the sod as she took the full weight of it. It was stronger than she was though, and they both knew it. Suddenly she pulled her arms back and bashed the creature hard in the face with her horned head. The creature snarled and stepped back, yanking Harian off her feet to hurl her bodily into the side of the house.
She hit the ground in a shower of stucco and plaster, gritting sharp teeth.
"M'fine..." She grunted from where she lay.

Hino watched as the steam rose from the heap that was the golden automaton. It wasn't moving at all, and that worried him. Before he could react the fearsome guard lunged at him and with one swift motion slashed his blade upwards across his chest. In the corner of his eye, he the guard strike another. Hino crumpled to the ground like a piece of paper. A pool of blood had already begun to form beneath him as he clutched at his chest. He was expecting the finishing blow at any moment, but instead, it never came. He rolled over to see the delay only to watch the monkey man impale the metal guard. He, too, was bleeding, but it was apparent he was still able to function rather well. The guard looked almost as bad as he did now after the most recent attack. It wouldn't be able to take too many more hits, although neither could Hino.

He tried to stand up but his legs shook and he fell down on one knee. The gash across his chest wasn't just long, it was also deep. He was losing blood at an alarming rate and wouldn't have the strength to use a powerful lightning attack. Slipping one of his long knives from its sheath, he charged it with what ever energy he could muster. The Thunder God gritted his teeth and threw it as hard as he could at the back of its head. It pierced the armor with a loud clank and sent yet another surge of electricity running through its body. Though it had no physical facial expressions, or probably even feelings for that matter, Hino could feel the rage that was emitting from the guard as it turned around to face him. A smile danced across his lips. It was certainly an accomplishment to piss off something that anatomically could not be pissed off. In addition to being satisfied about being a nuisance, he also felt relief wash over him. He had been searching for an enemy to finally grant him the peace he so desired, and it seemed like this was the one to deliver it.

Kiyomi

As soon as they arrived at the house, all hell broke loose and their sneaky plans shriveled away into nothing. The gargoyles loyally guarding the perimeter spotted the group in a matter of seconds and attacked without hesitation, their stony jaws snapping and snarling. Despite the chaotic situation, Kiyomi's calm expression never faltered as she positioned herself into a defensive stance. Although the gargoyles proved to be a nuisance, that wasn't what the kitsune was focused on. Her blue eyes were locked onto the metallic guardian standing menacingly near the entrance. She could feel the power it possessed radiating off of it in waves, and she knew that if it wasn't dealt with properly, it could easily injure someone, or worse.

The stony beasts lunged for different members of the group, slashing and barreling through with every ounce of strength they had. Kiyomi swung around, pivoting on her heel and performing a quick backwards handspring that launched her over the gargoyle attacks, landing perfectly in front of the group. Several people were injured in the attacks, but the kitsune never tore her gaze away from the automaton that she faced. For now, she would have to trust that the group could deal with the gargoyles themselves.

The automaton made its first move. It launched forward with an incredible amount of speed towards Hino and Falarion, extending the blades arming its metal hands and swiping past them in one swift movement. More blood began to spill to the soft grass below. Kiyomi's expression darkened and her eyes began to glow an eerie white, a hot rush spreading through her body after witnessing the automaton hurt her comrades. The wind began to pick up around the group; gently at first, however it soon shifted into a strong gust that seemed to swirl around the kitsune as her power grew. There was a blinding flash of light, swallowing Kiyomi's being whole. A white fox leaped out from the ball of light with a speed that easily surpassed the automaton's in a blur of motion. Her entire body was on fire, the flames billowing backwards as the fox bounded forward in a zigzag motion across the courtyard. A ball of foxfire formed in front of her mouth, swirling and growing larger with every step that she took. It seemed like the fox and the automaton were about to collide in a fiery explosion, however just before that could happen, she pushed off her back legs and performed a back flip over the metallic guardian. She positioned herself perfectly over it so that her head was facing the automaton, mouth filled with dangerous foxfire.

Like it was all happening in slow motion, the automaton looked up at her and their gazes locked as she soared overhead, staring through the white flames that lapped hungrily at the air. The automaton's fate was sealed.

In a quick push, the ball of flame launched forward from Kiyomi's jaws and crashed into the guardian. A bright flash of light appeared as the white flame exploded against the automaton. There was a rush of hot air accompanied by a sound that resembled thunder, but much louder. One of the gargoyles happened to be close enough to the destruction that it was burned in the process, letting out a shrill cry. It was like a mini nuclear explosion had just occurred and the ground shook violently, a huge cloud of dust erupting as the earth cracked and splintered underneath the automaton's metal boots. The dust and smoke was so thick that it was impossible to see what had happened from outside the attack.

The dust soon began to clear, revealing a crater-like formation in the ground and a golden puddle of molten metal pooled in the middle. Kiyomi's dark silhouette could be made out finally as her glowing eyes pierced through the dust. She appeared to be completely unharmed and had switched back into her partial fox form, her dress billowing in the wind. The fox woman stepped over the melted remains of the automaton nonchalantly as she held a Japanese fan in one hand, fanning herself elegantly while she strode forward.

"How pitiful." Kiyomi murmured, barely sparing a moment to admire her chaos as she stepped out of the crater and emerged from the smoke. Her eyes settled on Hino who stood a few feet away from her. He was dying and she knew it. She approached him, stooping low beside him.

"You are not dying today, Thunder God." She whispered to him softly, outstretching a hand that glowed white and pressing her palm against the gash on his chest. The light that emitted from her palm warmed the skin around his wound soothingly and soon enough, his injury began to close. It took quite a lot of Kiyomi's energy to heal that wound. As the light died from her palm and she pulled her hand away, her face became paler than a ghost. She fell forward slightly, panting as she leaned against Hino's frame in an attempt to hold herself upright. The kitsune looked up at him and their eyes met. She smiled gently for a moment before finally regaining a bit of strength and managing to rise to her feet. She extended her hand for him to take, offering to help Hino from his collapsed position.

"You should feel better now."

As the automaton began its path for the final strike, it was interrupted by a fox soaring through the air in a flash of white light. What happened next was a blur, and a bright one at that. Hino had to shield his eyes from the violent bursts of light that erupted as the fox and the guard fought. After the majority of the explosions ceased, Hino pulled his hands away. The fox had now turned back into a woman and was standing in front of a pile of what he believed to be what was left of the automaton. He sighed as he watched his hopes at an honorable and quick death literally melt away.

The fox, who was now a woman began walking towards him. He narrowed his eyes and frowned at her. Why was she walking towards him? Clearly, there were plenty of other people that needed her help, and who would probably appreciate it more than him. He tried to get up so he could walk away from her, but he had no strength in order to do so. As a last resort, he scowled at her and flared his nostrils trying to look as hostile as possible hoping that she would realize that he didn't want to be helped. Alas, he was unsuccessful yet again. To his dismay, she placed a hand on his chest and the gash started to close, even as he tried to pull away. 'Why won't she just let me die', he thought to himself, slightly annoyed.

When she finished healing him, she was clearly very weak herself. For a moment she used Hino as a support to stop herself from toppling over. When she finally had the strength to get back on her feet she stood over him and offered him a warm smile and a hand to help him up. He eyed her hand cautiously before brushing it away and standing up on his own. There was something very unsettling about her hospitality and kindness. Though still a little hunched over from the wound, he still towered over her now that he was standing. from this angle, she looked even more sickly and out of breath than before.

"You look bad," he stated bluntly, "And you shouldn't have done that. You could have killed the rest of these things if you hadn't." He gestured to the gargoyles that were still wreaking havoc for some of the other members of the group.

Kiyomi looked a bit taken back as Hino casually brushed her hand away, blinking rapidly out of confusion and tilting her head. Her arm fell back to her side, watching him rise to his feet on his own rather than accepting her help. The kitsune didn't look offended in the slightest and her confused look shifted into one of compassion, blue eyes sparkling. Hino was an incredibly stubborn man. In a way, it amused her and she couldn't help but muster a smile, trying to make light of the situation. A gentle laugh escaped her lips and she rose a hand to her mouth to quiet herself, hoping she didn't make the thunder god angry in any way.

"And left you here to die? I couldn't allow that to happen." Kiyomi responded, swiveling her attention back to the onslaught of combat behind them. She continued to hold the Japanese fan in her hand, fanning herself lightly. She began to take several steps forward, however just before she walked away, the kitsune glanced behind her and flashed Hino another gentle smile.

"I'm glad you're okay, Hino."

She left him to his own accord shortly after that and padded forward. Using the remainder of her magic caused another wave of exhaustion to rush through her and she felt like she'd just been hit by a truck. The white orbs floating above her tails began to dim, just like they'd done before in the previous fight. Healing fatal wounds like that was no joke and it took a heavy toll on the body. Luckily, her powers would slowly regenerate over time, but she still needed to preserve herself. Falarion was off to the side and was still badly injured, holding a gash that was bleeding profusely on his side. Kiyomi quickly ran over to Falarion and stopped by his side, placing a hand on his shoulder to steady him. She seemed to be inspecting his wound, looking rather calm despite the situation.

"I can't heal you, but I can try to delay the bleeding until someone else can. Hold still, please." She told him, flashing Falarion a reassuring smile. Leaning down, her hands clutched the edge of her silk dress and gave one single tug, ripping a portion of the fabric away. Kiyomi crouched down to her knees beside him, glancing up and giving him a rather apologetic look as she prepared to press the cloth against his wound.

"This is going to hurt. Please forgive me."

Kiyomi leaned forward and held the loose fabric against the gash with a bit of pressure. As the blood soaked into the cloth, Kiyomi could feel the fabric become wet against her palm. She pressed a little harder and looked up at Falarion to see how he was coping.

"Are you doing okay?" She asked softly, concern littering her delicate features and lips pursed into a small frown.

As Hayle prepared her second attack on the gargoyle she had just hit earlier it but as she went to attack once again the gargoyle swung its claws at her, she couldn't quite manage to bring up a wall of ice before its sharp claws dug into her side and made her cry out in pain. Her blood covering the gargoyles claws as she kicked it away, she clutched her side and looked down at the blood staining her clothing. She needed to deal with this creature before it killed her, taking a deep breath she ignored the pain that was emanating from her side and used her magic once again. Using the shards of ice she had created previously and sent four of them flying towards the gargoyle, with the pain in her side she was too distracted by the pain and accidentally missed with one of the shards but the other three landed in the gargoyles shoulders. She backed away from the gargoyle and hoped to gain a bit of a distance between her and it but she knew that wouldn't help her in the slightest since they could easily charge at her and attack her once again. Moving the ice she had summoned in front of her she combined them to create some sort of shield but as she placed her hands on the ice they formed around her hands creating claws similar to the gargoyles, she prepared herself for another attack from the gargoyle hoping that she could use her new weapons against them.

Looking around the battlefield she noticed quite a few people were hit and damaged severely, the person who told her to drench each of the enemies in water he looked so badly hurt but thankfully someone had already run up to him and started to heal him. She couldn't wait till this mission was over so that she could jump into that pool of healing water back at their home base.

It must’ve been over a century since Zoya had last found herself in France, she’d been travelling Europe on some whim, before there was talks of war on the horizon. The city still remained ever beautiful to her relief, only with knew interesting additions she found herself admiring. The world seemed so much simpler all that time ago, though it was just as cruel. She’d remained silent for the entirety of the walk, admiring the architecture and beautiful sights. Her french wasn’t the best, her accent got in the way and she’d only picked up the basics from attempting to speak to the natives but at least she wasn’t completely hopeless.

When the group had arrived at the house, Zoya surveyed the surroundings a little apprehensive, she didn’t like that they were supposed to infiltrate it. Feeling like she was about to walk into the damned jaws of death, Zoya shuddered to herself, still uncomfortable from her sleep or more so the lack of it. Everything felt like some twisted fantasy, she was back in a place she’d loved many years ago, only now she had to try fight some anti-christ and be fine with it. She could barely hear the others strategising or bickering over the thoughts that wailed in her head. Why was she here? What made anything worth staying? She barely knew these people if that’s what you could call them and the world had never been nice to her. Perhaps it was just the foul mood she was in, but the urge to bail and go sightseeing was quite overwhelming. So she almost turned away until one whisper prickled in the back of her head, scratching away at her guilty conscience. It’d almost been unnoticeable, though she’d forever recognise that beloved bastards voice. With a huff and a childish pout, Zoya’s posture stiffened as she continued to just glare daggers at the ground, her arms crossed and her face stormy. That was until the others flew into action.

Zoya was delayed with her reaction, brows furrowed as she watched the initial onslaught of battle occur. Damn her temper, whatever the plan was she knew nothing of it, only seeing the beginnings of a chaos in the midst. Most had struck before her, or been struck. There was a few particular attacks on her allies that made her wince. She quite literally flew into action, blasting herself off of the ground and to the immediate aid of her comrades. Panic flitted through her, fighting should be fun, not this mess of distress. With a hand outstretched, hesitation crashed over her as she contemplated shooting debris at the gargoyles, plagued by the worry of one getting too close to her and striking her down. So she made her move, calculated spinning with her arms spread as she picked up all the nearby debris and hurled it at a gargoyle, worry painted on her face as her jaw dropped when she saw most of it had missed the foe in her panic. Her eyes were darting wildly as she honed in on everything else around her.

At least one of the wounded had been healed significantly, there was another two who were bleeding, though one was worse than the other so she quickly manoeuvred herself to his side with the aid of the wind to quicken her strides. Kiyomi was already beside him, pressing down onto his wound in attempt to stop the severe bleeding. “I can heal you, just keep still.” Her reassuring voice betrayed the way she was feeling, she half expected to be unable to do it but desperately hoped that she could so she wouldn’t make a fool of herself and for the sake of her ally. Zoya’s hands trembled as she moved to try close the wound, all she did for a brief second was blink blankly at the bloodied boy, unable to use her own essence to fix anything due to the panic that was shooting through her. Taking a deep breath, Zoya scrunched up her face and willed with all of her might that she could help this poor fighter, even if it was only small. It seemed whoever heard her plea answered, for when she opened her eyes milky energy was spiralling around her hands, coalescing into a centered glow of pearly white as she planted her hands onto the wound and sang her thanks to whatever poor soul was looking down on her. Healing immediately took its toll on her, she was significantly more tired and saw specs of white swimming in her vision. Regardless it didn’t stop her from wearing a weak smile for both Kiyomi and Falarion, even when she noticed the wound wasn’t fully healed and that she’d only stopped the bleeding, that was good enough for her and what she hoped him right now.

“Try not to get sliced up again, us lovely ladies can’t just keep running around after you.” Zoya winked at the blond boy, only half playful. If she had to run around healing everyone you might as well just put her out of her misery, being benevolent all the time grew tiring.

Falarion stumbled backward until he ended up sitting on some rubble behind himself while Kiyomi joined the fight with a brilliant flash. He was still blinking his eyes when he saw the melted automaton in a pool while Kiyomi was now tending to Hino nearby. A wave of pain raced up his side again and he cursed under his breath while he continued to clutch at his side. He needed to keep fighting while there were still enemies about, but he was not doing as well as he thought at enduring his pain. He glanced back down at this wound and grimaced at the sight of his the crimson stains blossoming through his button-down. He was definitely bleeding too much for his own good.
In a daze, he struggled back to his feet and stumbled forward while vainly trying to find his bo staff. He had dropped it again after the pain had distracted him and Falarion could not continue the fight without his staff. His stubbornness had him stumbling aimlessly near the fountain until Kiyomi joined his side.
He blinked at her, confusion contorting his expression, and opened his mouth as if to say something, but merely winced instead at another wave of pain. He tried to not fall over while Kiyomi helped apply pressure to his wound, but his head was pounding and he felt briefly dizzy before he righted himself again.
"I-I'm fine. Really." He swayed on his feet again and then grumbled, "Okay, maybe not so great."

Just as he put a hand against his temple, Falarion heard someone else approaching them and glanced over to see one of the other women joining them. He wanted to make a quip about this, but his voice cut off when he felt the pressure from Kiyomi on his wound. He quickly blinked away tears and then grinned at the other woman, as if everything was perfectly okay.
The woman seemed confident and Falarion watched her curiously while she tried to do her thing. When nothing happened right away, Falarion furrowed his brows and began, "Are you su-" He fell silent when he saw her beginning to glow and he winced when she touched his wound, but then sighed in immense relief when his skin began knitting itself back together. It was a very weird feeling and he had to resist the urge to itch at his skin when she was finished healing him. He glanced down to see the angry inflamed skin surrounding the thin scab trailing from just over his hip up and around to his back and below the back of his rib cage. He was going to have an epic scar by the time this wound fully healed.
Inhaling deeply, Falarion realized she must have also healed any internal injuries, as it was no longer painful to do so. He hesitantly stretched out his arm and moved around a bit to test his new limits and found that while there were still some pain if he stretched too far, it was not anything too serious anymore.
Smiling widely now, he looked at the woman who had healed him and exclaimed, "Wow, that's amazing! Thank you so much!" He paused and then glanced around at the chaos before quickly adding, "I don't think we've met and this probably isn't the best time, but my name's Falarion." He grinned at her and then glanced down at Kiyomi. Technically, they had not met either, but he had overheard her name before.
Falarion glanced down at his bloodied and ruined shirt before he added, "Kiyomi, thank you for doing your best to aid me. I don't suppose any of you know how to get this much blood out of a shirt."

The automaton melted under Kyomi's explosive attack. Two of the nearby gargoyles stared, wide-eyed for a moment. A moment was all it took for the healers to see to the most injured members. The gargoyles recovered quickly and with angry snarls, resumed their assault.
The one by the gate tried to circle Hayle, cut her off from the rest of the team. It lunged, but missed, turning and flaring its wings angrily.
The gargoyle facing Ayramis had similar luck. It's large, thick body cumbersome and easily avoided. It charged like a bull, poised to ram the god with it's large, flat head, but it was easy to avoid.
The third creature however, dashed to Zoya just as she finished healing Falarion. It landed a blow, hard, sending Zoya sprawlingand roared triumphantly.

Harian pushed herself up slowly. She felt the ground shake as the gargoyle she had distracted came pounding toward her. She narrowly dodged a side swipe, leaping back to put herself again between Gabriel and the creature.
"Hey Constantine! The box! Go do your hack-y thing! I'll keep ugly entertained."
Glancing round at Nero, Harian the gargoyle bared her stone teeth. "Kid, that pen the angel gave you. You might wanna take another look."
Just then, the gargoyle that had taken several blows from the youth turned and attacked again, twirling round to try and trip Nero with his tail.

Ayramis glared at the charging gargoyle, his guardian snarling. Ayramis stepped back and to the side giving the gargoyle a wide berth. His eyes focused on it, the guardian however did not move back completely. A strong sinewy arm swung low, slashing at the gargoyle's legs. The guardian snapped its jaws shut as the blade connected. Acrid, foul smelling ichor splattered the blade cut and pushed its way through the gargoyle's front leg. The guardians other arm followed the first, only higher up. As the guardian swung it's arms it turned, letting the gargoyle pass him, like a matador and a bull. When the gargoyle pulled away, the guardian's free hand came away with a tattered piece of wing. Ayramis smirked as he stepped a bit further back. The gargoyle letting out a pained, infuriated cry. “What's the matter? not so much fun anymore is it?” He teased as the gargoyle finally began to turn around. a bleeding stump and tattered wing flailing in the air. Rage in it's eyes, it wasn't sure whether to lock onto Ayramis to its left, or the guardian to it's right. Both holding ground, partly crouched ready to pounce. Ayramis took a second to survey the others in his view. His back still to the fountain he couldn’t see the third gargoyle, but he had to trust the others could handle themselves, at least until he finished with this beast. He could see the first gargoyle still trying to attack Hayle. He wanted to lend a hand, but he needed to dispatch this for before anything.
