Shoot to Kill (SnowFeather x DarkHawk)

Leon looked deep into Zara's eyes and felt happiness. He was the happiest he ever was. Not even war brought this much cheer.

(Have a good day.)

There was a knock on the door and Zara reacted on impulse. She kissed Leon once, then kicked him off of her and pushed him off the bed, making him land on the other side, hidden from the door.

"Come in," she said, obviously not bothered that she was wearing no shirt. The door opened to reveal Colonel Adams. He smiled to her and walked in, closing the door.

"Hello Captain," he said. She smiled. "Colonel." He started to approach her, but she raised her hand, telling him to stop. When he didn't, she stood up and put her hand on his chest, pushing him back.

He didn't seem pleased by this obvious rejection, but said nothing. She turned away from him and brought her hand to her side, walking over to the closet. She opened the drawer and took out a new tank, slipping it on.

Leon groaned quietly as he was pushed across the room. He could see Adams walk into the room and advance towards Zara. Rage built in his stomach but subdued as she pushed him away.

He didn't move yet, he waited to see what would happen. If he moved towards her again then he wouldn't be able to control himself. "Let's just hope that doesn't happen.." Leon whispered.

"What brings you here at this early hour, Colonel?" Zara asked, raising an eyebrow as she turned to face the Colonel.

He smiled. "Oh please Zara, just call me Danny," he said to her. Zara smiled.

"Great, Danny, then you'll call me Captain," she replied with a smirk.

Leon clenched his teeth, hiding in the darkness more. He clenched his fist and got ready to attack if anything happened. He slowly scanned the Colonel for any weapons but found none.

Colonel Adams sighed. "Well, Captain, I've missed you," he said, smiling. Zara raised an eyebrow.

"Colonel, you've been gone for two months," she said, making him smile.

"Well, I couldn't help it. When I left, we were quite a thing," he whispered, moving to stand right in front of her. "Mind if we finished what we started...?" He whispered, caressing her cheek.

Zara blushed and tried to step back, but he grabbed her waist and pulled her closer, pressing his lips to hers. He pressed her body against his, his crotch rubbing against her lady parts.

Leon lost it... He got up from the shadows and drove his heel into the side of the Colonels head. Sending him across the room and Ito the wall. He then continued you climb on top of him, pinning down the Colonel and slamming his fists into his face.

He had a record of violence but this was more than anything else before. He continued slamming his fist into his face even after he had broken the Colonels jaw. After a little more Leon stood up, giving Zara a slightly heartbroken glance before walking out of the room.

He ran down the corridor and left the building, trying to get as far away from her as possible. "Lair..." He whispered as he ran and a single tear fell down his cheek.

Zara was surprised, and angry. How could he be so stupid, that he attacked a commanding officer?!

Adams held his jaw as he laid on the ground. "Medic to Captain's quarters," Zara said through the comlink.

She then got up and walked out of her quarters. Just in time to see Leon disappear out of the building. She ran after him and soon exited the building.

Zara saw him ahead, far, but pushed herself. She had to catch him.

Leon kept running ahead, looking towards the fence that surrounded the perimiter. There was a wall to the left and barbed wire at the top. He ran a little faster, placing a single foot on the wall, dashing up it.

He leaped up to the side and dived over the fence. The barbed wire caught some of his skin and sliced his arm but he still made it over. He landed on his shoulders and rolled forward, standing up and turning around afterwards.

Zara was sprinting towards him. Leon carefully pulled off his name tag and ripped off his rank, throwing them on the ground as he walked the other direction.

Zara stopped at the fence. She watched him with narrowed eyes, shedding a tear. "I will not stand by and watch.." She hissed.

She did just as Leon did, and landed on the other side. She raised her gun and shot him straight in his leg. She then walled over to him.

"You are hereby granted the honor of a fucking arrest, Staff Sergeant, for attacking a commanding officer," she hissed, her voice like venom.

Leon grimaced as he was shot and fell down on one knee. He looked at Zara and let a tear flow down his face. "You lied to me..." He hissed at her quietly. He slowly stood up and looked at her in the eyes.

He carefully turned away from her and headed away. "You are the worst..." He said as he cried carefully." He only made it a little longer before falling down. His heart was destroyed, nothing could save him now..

Zara narrowed her eyes and watched him. As he once more fell, she walked up to him. She grabbed his shoulder and pulled him up.

"Yeah, and you're wrong. Adams, was two months ago. You, were five minutes ago.." She whispered in his ear, closing her eyes as she whispered the last part.

Leon looked up at Zara with empty eyes. "Oh well.." He said quietly and gave a dark smile. Nothing mattered now, he was as before... A monster.

Zara grabbed his arm and dragged him towards the fence, the gun pointed to his head. A rover appeared on the inside of the fence, and three men stepped out.

Leon looked up at the men with the same dull look. He didn't know what was going to happen but he didn't care. Love wasn't real.. So he didn't need it.. All he needed was war..

Two men hopped over the fence and grabbed Leon from Zara. "Hey, what are you doing?" She snapped. They were both Sergeants, so she overranked them.

They took Leon away while the third man snuck up behind Zara. He hit her back and made her kneel, making her scream in pain as he twisted her arm.

He took out a gun and held it to her head. "Goodbye Blondie," he hissed, before he got ready to pull the trigger.

Leon looked back at her and horror spread. "No..." He whisperd before pulling away from the men and charging towards Zara. He grabbed the gun from the man and put it against his head, quickly pulling the trigger.

Leon then turned towards the other two and shot them both In the heads. Then, he grabbed Zara's hand and ran with her. Pulling her out into the woods. Even if he was broken.. He couldn't deny it.. He loved her...

(Stop making me cry!! :'\ )

Zara had closed her eyes, ready for the blinding pain and then the darkness that would follow.

Nothing happened. One shot. Two more. A hand grabbing hers. She opened her eyes as she was pulled up, and ran. Zara looked up to see Leon, and her eyes widened.

Leon kept running. Holding on to Zara's hand tightly. They needed to get away, and quickly. He gripped the gun in his other hand and ran harder. Pulling Zara along. "God damnit..." He whispered.

(Neverrrr! xD I'm sorry. :/ )

Zara ran beside him, not asking any questions. She felt his grip on her hand tighten, but said nothing.

Leon pulled Zara around a corner. Hiding behind a tree with her and sliding down so he could hide her in his arms. "Sh.." He whispered quietly and looked behind him.

Zara gasped as he pulled her close and slid down, holding her in his arms and hiding her with his body. "Leon.." She started, but her whisper silenced her. Zara blushed and kept silent, cuddling into his chest.

Leon scanned the area behind them. He didn't see anyone following them but a soldier had just reached the area of the bodies. Leon pulled some brush over them to hide from their search.

"You're lucky that you're my first love..." Leon whispered into Zara's ear as he pulled her closer and tighter. A single tear running down his cheek.

Zara's eyes widened and she blushed. She didn't say anything, only hugged him tightly. After a while, she replied. "I didn't lie, Leon... I love you," she whispered.

Leon looked at Zara and nodded slightly but didn't reply until a few moments later. "Yeah... I love you too..." His voice was quiet, and melancholy but he still cared. He held onto her closely waiting for time to pass.
