Shoot! (SnowFeather, azimuth)

Emily kept her eyes closed. She didn't move for risk of triggering a stabbing wave of pain. Tears welled up on her eyes again and she again, began to sob gently.

Tyler stopped as he heard her sobbing. He turned around, his own tears stopping. "No, no, no, no... Please don't cry.." He murmured as he crouched beside the bed, holding out a hand to her, then removing it. He bit his lower lip as he looked down. "I-I'm sorry... I healed your wounds but I.. I don't know if they worked.." He explained, his voice filed with regret and pain. "I'm sorry.." He cried a tears and his eyes darkened.

Emily filled with rage when he asked her to stop crying, but then he went on. She noticed now that her wing wasn't as painful as she thought. She looked at it. There was no blood now, and no bone poking through the skin. She gently tried to draw her wing in and lift it up as she tried to sit up. She winced, but she managed. "I have every right to cry." she said in a low growl that turned into a whimper by the end of the sentence.

Tyler flinched at her harsh tone but let out a quiet breath. He looked away and out the window, his eyes watery. "..Yeah.." Some more tears fell down his cheeks and he got up from the bed. His eyes were glowing and his body trembled slightly. "I'm sorry, again... I really am.." He said as he leaned against the wall, looking out the window. The light from the sun shone upon half of his face and he closed his eyes as he wiped his tears.

Emily, yet again, curled up on the bed. It was not a react to him moving, but just her in her depressed state. "you don't know what I've been through..." she said, almost whispering. "Zack...." she managed, before breaking out into another sobbing fit.

Tyler shut his eyes tight as he heard her crying. He couldn't bear it. "Who's... Nevermind." He muttered. "I'll be right outside, erm... If you need me.." He said hesitantly as he made his way towards the door, his entire body tense.

Tyler reached for the doorknob when he heard her. He withdrew his hand and tensed. ".... I-I'm... I'm sorry.." He said, his voice quiet and filled with sorrow. "I'm sorry." He repeated as he turned to glance at her. "I know how it is to lose a brother.." His eyes glowed in anger. "It breaks your heart.."

She looked out from her ball. "do you know how it is to see him turn to a mist at the heart of an explosion? Do you know how it is to have only one family member you love so much... No. One family member at all. and watch them die?" she asked, her voice cold.

Tyler looked down. "Yes..." He hissed. He stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut.

The glass smashed as the man crashed in through the window, landing in a crouch beside the bed. He rose slowly and looked down on the girl laying on the bed, wearing a hood that covered his face. He grabbed a knife and hissed as he jumped into the air, aiming to slam the knife into her throat.

(Just respond by Emily screaming and trying to save herself and Tyler will come.)

(nah. I've got my own ideas. :3)

Out of panic, Emily conjured another orb of light as she had done when Tyler had attacked. Her. It never left her hands before exploding with light strong enough to have a physical force. Emily instinctively closed her eyes as it occurred. The she didn't even know what she did. She stood and bolted for the door while the man was stunned.

(he's probably blind, too.)

(Mhm)

Tyler heard the commotion and rushed towards the room just in time to catch Emily as she rushed out. He looked inside to see the man recovering and slowly making his way out. Tyler grabbed Emily and picked her up, running away from the room. He set her down just before he tensed as the man drove his knife into his side. Tyler growled and spun around to face the man, shoving him into a wall, causing his hood to fall off. Half of his face was covered in metal and circuits, his eyes glowing red.

The cyborg smirked and jumped at Tyler, knocking him down. Then he tried to jump over to Emily, but Tyler grabbed his leg and dragged him away from her. "Stay away from her!" He snapped as he rose, the cyborg turning to face him. Tyler slammed his fist into the cyborgs head, causing it to fall. It tried to get up, but Tyler stepped on his head, attempting to crush it.

The cyborg grabbed his foot and rose fast, slamming into Tyler. It pulled out an electric gun and shot Tyler's chest, causing Tyler to almost collapse, but he couldn't. "I said stay away!!" He yelled as the cyborg turned to Emily. Tyler threw one last punch at it's neck, and the head snapped off, the body falling to the ground. Tyler panted and staggered back, falling down on the ground as he struggled to breathe.

(Hello?)

As the cyborgs head rolled across the floor, both it and the body began to beep. Emily knew what was about to happen. She ripped one of the prongs from Tyler's chest, then the other. She picked him up and rushed for the exit. Once out on the street, she kept running.

"Hey.." He muttered, trying to make it sound threatening, but he was too tired to bother. He glanced back at his apartment in dismay. "Crap I left my computer there!" He hissed.

(On my phone so short, bye.)

Emily ignored him and kept running. A few moments later, his apartment exploded in a huge fireball.

Tyler rolled his eyes. "Ugh.." He groaned. "Put me down will you?" He asked, his voice stern.

She stopped running and complied, by simply dropping her arms out from under him and letting him fall to the ground.

Tyler landed on his feet in a crouch, and slowly rose. He didn't look at her, his gaze almost sliding off her figure whenever he did. He sighed. "Well, why did you save me?" He asked suddenly, glaring at her now.

She was silent for a few seconds. "... I honestly don't know..." she looked at her hands. Light played around her finger tips. "what the...?" she mumbled.

Tyler looked down at her hands and backed away from her."Either way, I'm out." He muttered as he turned to walk away. "Good luck with life!" He called, sarcastically.

Tyler wouldn't get far. A few steps ahead of him, is his computer and handgun with ammo. The computer was tied up with a neat bow and had a letter on it. Emily began to take off.

((let's add a fun twist to this.))

Tyler stopped in his tracks and smirked. He ripped the bow off and put the letter in his pocket. He figured he'd read it later. He picked up his laptop and attached the gun to his belt. "Hm." He simply said, before walking off. "Thanks!" He called as he saw her taking off.

(What does the letter say?)

The letter simply reads the following.

you'll be needing these to save the world. Keep the girl with you.

Emily was now airborne, and flying away quickly.

Tyler opened the letter and read it. He raised an eyebrow. "Hey! Hold up!" He called as he turned to glare at her as she flew away.

She didn't stop. She ignored him as she flew away.

There would be another note attached to the screen of his computer.

she'll be here.

There was a map. On it was drawn a red X over an abandoned industrial area.
