Here's our space for OOC talk. Not really needed for now, but it'll be useful once the game starts. If you want to ask me (or each others) questions, make suggestions, talk openly about what you plan to do, raise hypothesis, or anything else, go on!
 
Should references to things like brand names, historical figures and pop culture be made to their real world equivalents, a slight pervasion of said name (Pear instead of Apple for instance) or something completely made up?


Personally, I would lean toward the first option since it is the simplest and it doesn't hurt my suspension of disbelief too much.

I'd rather have the second option. Like Bren Marst is the equivalent of Karl Marx in the Shards book.
 
I should probably finish everything by saturday, so normally I'll try to post the first chapter of the game this weekend. By then, I'll probably have the time to check all your PC's mechanics.


Am I supposed to get your character sheets from PENDING to PC myself? If yes, how can I do this?

You can do it by clicking the edit thread button on the upper right, just above the first post. It'll open a box wherein you can edit the title and change the prefix.


On a related topic, is it okay if I initially embed a .pdf sheet for my mechanics? I hate typing the damned things out.
 
I'm hoping I have everything down properly, having sketchy knowledge of 2e combat and my knowledge of Alchemicals coming from a brief reading of Modern Shards and liberal browsing in the MoEP.

This game has seems to have fallen silent, are we waiting for everyone to finish their characters (me included, sorry), or what?

We have very few information on what Mathis has done after he escaped from his captors... it makes it hard to help you.


If Mathis is still heading a version of Red Dragon Security, maybe he's been hired by someone who wants to cross the city without incident, and without resorting to overt police presence? Someone linked to the Nationalists, perhaps...


Otherwise, if he is still on the run, maybe he was living in some of the rickety buildings that got destroyed, and maintaining his cover means that he must go protest with his newfound comrades?


Or something brought him here because he's following leads on his captors?
 
Or, since your work load is a bit overwhelming right now according to your posts in another thread, you could jump into the game once you're done with meatspace issues. Just tell me how you plan to come in a little while before, in order to prevent any accidental godmoding.
