Fantasy She's Trouble (One x One with GodlyDnD

Her heart was beating rapidly, so much so, that she figured everyone around her could also hear the drumming coming from within. As the adrenaline rush through her veins she took one last step. The step that would change her life for good. At least that is what she had hoped for. Being controlled by her parents wasn't in her plans for the future.

With each step she took, the atmosphere shifted, like a sense of being lighter had welcomed her so effortlessly. It was sort of more than what she had imagined. Better. The more she stepped in to the island the better she felt and the more she started to question why her father ever wanted to leave.

Releasing a sigh of relief she dropped down into the soft green moss that seemed to be everywhere around her. This entire place was so different and it may have been just what she needed all along. "Freedom....finally...."

Harry had traveled hastily but wary enough to be looking around and glancing behind, knowing he would likely be followed even this far. He had stowed away on a ship, and it just happened to be passing that island. That one, which Harry, even Harry Hook, knew was the one his father had been to and had such notable encounters, especially to do away with that troublesome Peter! But unfortunately Peter still had the upper hand. But he could not be around anymore. He who would not grow up must have still grown up anyway. And what happened to those other boys?

Maybe this island was deserted now. He must see, after all this and coming near to it. So as no one was near to see he slashed the small boat from the ship with his small jack knife that it would drop to the surface of the sea, and then jumped over the side into the sea near it. He then got in and rowed to the nearest shore of that island. He pulled the boat quickly up to hide among nearby shrubs, and then ran in among thick growth of trees. Maybe he would soon be sure no one else was on the island. But very shortly he came to where he saw someone else was there, a little way from the shore.

Her eyes closed as she drew in the nice warm air. This place was exactly where she needed to be. Of course she wasn't sure how long it would last. Her father would come to realize that she had run off and once he does, he will be hot on her heels.

Standing up and brushing off any dirt, She began to wander down the island. Maybe no one existed here anymore. After her father left there wouldn't be much of a reason to stay. Still, maybe the lost boys are just now grown and made their own life here or maybe she was delusional and the island was truly empty.

So it was this girl. This was unexpected. What girl has been to this island? Well, there was that Wendy, who Peter befriended. She had not stayed. Or had she after all? And what about that winged fairy... or pixie? Whatever. That was probably just some embellishment in what he heard told. But this one was a young girl. After all this time, what would she have to do with them?

There were no answers that could be claimed. So Harry kept going, following stealthily after her, among the thick growth rather than in the open. He might learn more when seeing where she went. There were probably no other clues to look for, now.

Walking along the green moss, finally reaching a more handy area her breath released slowly. "Its just so...beautiful here." Stretching out her arms she enjoyed the feel of the sun as it beamed down on her pale skin, she welcomed the slight burn. It just gave her a better taste of freedom.

After several lasting second she decided to try and find a place to rest while her days carried on out here. Surely rain would come and that was the last thing she needed. Besides finding food and shelter was all she could do. At least for now. Once established Luna would go and see if any others resided on the island.

As Harry followed this girl without letting her know his presence, with subtle movement through the thick growth, he was surprised by her showing her exuberance. It was not a familiar experience to him. He had been evasive, to avoid the unpleasant discipline that was frequent, and finally had run off, but always having to be very careful since then. He knew at a few times he had been followed. But with skills he had perfected in being evasive he had eluded those who had followed. His stowing away on this ship that went right this way seemed to have been pulled off effectively without any who would follow him knowing of it, but he knew to never take chances with assuming anything.

Now he saw her further on move up from near the shore toward the growing vegetation and trees there. He slowed down his approach, moving more slowly to see what she was doing. He was alert to his surrounding environment too. There were trees of various sorts, some seeming to be unfamiliar tropical trees, and there were many shrubs. Some moss seemed to be below, in places, but then he noticed it more. It moved in disturbing ways. What would that mean? It was not animals in there among it. He had seen few animals yet, they were all quite small so far.

Her eyes drifted along the island for a few more seconds, thinking she had felt as if someone were watching but when there was no sign of movement she shrugged it off and continued on. First, shelter, next food and lastly a good old fire to keep warm.

Gathering up whatever lumber she could manage, Luna found herself putting together a poorly built shelter. Not that it had to be the best, so long as it kept her dry she didn't care much for the outer appearance of it.

Once having shelter established she figured going on the hunt for food was ideal. It would be dark evntually and trying to find any sort of food at night would be hard if anything, it would be next to impossible. That and trying to start a fire. She had to hurry.

Harry figured out soon enough this girl was building a shelter. Smart. So she just came here? He had some weird idea that she had already been staying here. Harry had in mind that he would look for a cave, as caves were known to be here, and have a fire going there while he stayed through the night. But right out here where it could be spotted by anyone looking? Forget about that! A shelter here by the shore was likely to draw attention! Attention he did not want. Forget about this one who must be a castaway on this island. It was time to find a cave, one of those that were reputedly on this island.

Harry turned, and moved carefully away through the shrubs along that ground with patches of moss. Moss that was moving! That was disturbing enough. He hoped there would not be more of that where he would continue on to. He headed then toward the interior, looking for there would be significant rise to the land, where he might think a cave could be found.

Harry stopped for a moment, alert to be careful. There was some movement further ahead. It was some distance away about level with his eyes, it would be no moving moss! It seemed to be an animal, this was the first large one, if so. There had been just small things like little crabs, insects and spiders, and he had spotted a couple of small rodents, probably left from a ship that would have come earlier. But what was this ahead?

Harry slowed down. He approached yet carefully, desiring to know what creature he had discovered on this island. It was not a bird, he was sure, while birds were the most likely animals larger than the small crabs to be on islands, especially further inland.

This animal, he figured out, had a very speckled coat, with brown, gray, and green scattered on it. Had the animal not been moving, Harry would not have known it was there, surely. And then Harry figured out the head of that animal, and he realized that head, though speckled the same way, was like a tiger, or a lion! How was this animal on this island??

Harry backed away right then, and then he went carefully back to the shore, hoping that animal had not sensed him.

Once the shelter had been built and she sure it was good enough to at least keep her dry from possible rain, the girl decided to go and try to find food. The darkness would soon eat away at the daylight so she didn't have much time. Fixing herself so that clothing could nor catch on branches and such, Luna quickly moved through the thicker parts of the island.

However, spotting movement ahead she paused, her heart rate increasing. "What...is that?" An animal? It wasn't like she thought of the many things that could actually exist here. Then again, her father never really spoke of the dangers, only the good things. It's why she tried to find it in the first place.

Slowly she backed away, not needing to be noticed by anything. At least on her first day here.

Once Harry had moved past trees that could obscure him from being seen, he hurried much faster to the open stretch along the shore. He was coming near to it, when he heard a guttural sound of breathing, it seemed to be right behind him. He then dashed in a panic to where the shore ahead would be. Branches from shrubs around there snapped off as he rushed out. He came suddenly on this girl, who now saw him. He just said urgently, "There is a great beast like a lion or something, probably coming this way right now! Don't stay here!" That was all he thought he had time to say. He came to the open stretch and ran into the cold water. Only then did he turn around. He saw the girl, but there was no sight of an animal right there.
