Tony was born to Francesca and Geoff Clifton on April 3rd, 1993 in Manhattan, New York. Money was never really an issue growing up. His parents co-owned a well-regarded law firm and made plenty of dough to support their children. However, everything changed when the economy crisis hit when he was a junior in high school. The law firm went under, of course, leaving both Francesca and Geoff both out of jobs. It was no surprise when they announced that the family could afford to live in Manhattan anymore. That summer, the Clifton family picked up and moved to a place that was much more in their budget, the Southside of Chicago. However, jobs were not easy to find, and his father became discouraged and developed a drinking problem. This destroyed Francesca and Geoff's marriage, and by the time Tony was graduating high school, his parents had split. His mom moved in with her parents, in the Hamptons, leaving him and his sister, Sasha, to live with their drunk father. Tony had to give up his scholarship to ASU and work towards getting a job to help keep food on the table instead. After meeting the right—or wrong—people, he learned how to deal. He doesn't do it regularly, only when he really needs the cash.

After her family moved to the Southside and her parents split up, 15-year old Sasha got her first job as a checkout girl at the supermarket. Since then, she has held many jobs. When she turned 18, the owner of the local pub, the Alibi Room, offered her a barmaid job there, despite the fact that 21 is the age requirement for bartending. She won't ever admit it, but she took the job so she could keep an eye on her drunkard father, who frequents the place on a regular basis.

Jack's best quality is loyalty. He's a dependable character; a man of his word. Although he may be afraid, he's good at putting on a brave face and getting through whatever trouble lies ahead of him. That said, Jack can also be a bit of an asshole. Being raised in a gang setting, he doesn't hold much value in human life. He can kill a person and sleep well that night. He treats the call girls around the HQ like objects rather than people. He can be a pretty harsh guy.





Biography:


Jack and Orren's father was a big time drug dealer in India. When he got a business opportunity over in the States, he didn't hesitate to move himself and his girlfriend of three years overseas. He set up a very large drug operation with the TI-32 gang (made up, hope that's alright), spreading drugs as far as Canada. After a couple years, his girlfriend announced she was pregnant, and suggested that their father settled down to raise their family.


However, the boys' father was something of a workaholic. Although he promised he would retire, he continued drug operations behind his new wife's back. This continued for 13 years, until a second baby, Orren, was born. It was only two months afterwards that their father was gunned down by a hitman of a rival gang. Their mother, who had been in the same room when bullets began to fly, was also shot and killed.


Jack, who was 13 at the time, became the main caregiver of Orren, an newborn. He timidly approached the gang, asking for protection. Since his father had been such a loyal member, protection was granted. However, Jack was told that he had some big shoes to fill. Jack swore he would do whatever was asked of him as long as his baby brother didn't have to get involved. This agreement has held true through the years. Orren hangs around the gang's base of operation and does occasional drug runs every now and then, but he's never asked to really get his hands dirty. Jack, on the other hand, up to his neck in crap.


Appearance: Jack isn't too overly tall, but he's got muscle to make up for it. He stands at 5'7". He is pure blooded Indian, making skin his a light brown, and his hair black and curly. He has a little mustache/beard combo going on there. His eyes are brown. Jack likes to wear sleeveless shirts whenever he can.

Orren grew up frustrated. He was frustrated that his parents were killed before he ever got the chance to know them, he was frustrated that he had to live in fear every night while kids in the Northside safely in their beds. He was frustrated that his older brother continued to treat him like a baby, despite how old he was. All this grew up into an angry little man. Orren is easy to set off, hot tempered, loud mouthed, and rude. Most people take him with a grain of salt; they know that the insults and crudeness that spews from his mouth aren't his actual feelings. He often just does it to make himself look tougher.


Under all the huffing and yelling, Orren is actually something of a softy. He's addicted to mushy romance movies, the cheesier the better, and made Jack swear up and down he wouldn't tell anyone when he found Orren watching the Notebook and crying his eyes out.

Appearance: Orren is short, standing at 5'5". His hair is kept shorter than his brother's, with more a wavy texture than Jack's curls. His eyes are brown.

Aaron was raised in the suburbs, born on his driveway after his mom, Diana, was too busy watching the cooking channel to notice that her water had broke. On the bright side, the pavement wasn’t too hot since it was raining, and the money saved on hospital bills paid for whatever his aunt was addicted to at the time. While his family appeared to be the normal trashy crop, behind closed doors his father, Walter, ran an animal foster home. Which would be just fine if it weren’t for the hundreds of hamsters stuffed in the corner. Charged with animal hoarding and cruelty, Aaron’s dad went three whole days without adopting a beagle, a personal record for the man.


At school, Aaron kept decent grades solely on the pretense that the library was better than sitting at home, hardly caring one way or another. After all, he’d much rather be out drinking or getting into trouble. He tended to keep more acquaintances than friends, not a part of one particular crowd or gang. Likewise, he’s had a hard time committing to a relationship, finding it difficult to stick with someone for longer than a month or two.


Finally having enough, his older sister Nicki gathered funds and took him with her to Chicago, settling into a shabby apartment in a questionable part of town. Aaron is determined to find his footing and make connections, not about to admit his uncertainty about starting in a new school and lifestyle.

Nicki, even as a young child, was an airhead. On her twelfth birthday she almost got herself stuck in a sidewalk drain, gaining short-lived inspiration to be a firefighter when she grew up, so she could help other young, dumb children. Despite not being the most logical person to exist, she tries hard to do well by her siblings, although she ends up screwing things up half the time. She never bothered with college, having more than enough graduating high school a year late and actually showing up for the ceremony. Nicki did walk away with valuable knowledge, and is now able to defend herself in most physical fights. Something she's surprisingly talented at.


Fed up with the constant barking, she packed up with whoever she could convince and drove out to Chicago to have a fresh start. She's currently broke, and looking for a (relatively) stable job and a few friends she can depend on. Or maybe something a little more, she's not sure just yet, as long as she has fun in the process.

"It's not exactly a fairy tale."


Ari's father was Jamie Hendricks, a struggling, small-town musician and her mother was Katelynn Rosenthal, just another one of his obsessive followers. They met as Jamie was travelling through the Southside on his way to a tour, and things became history. He gave up his hopes of a career in music and married Katelynn, eventually giving her three children. It seemed like the perfect love story, but there were complications. Katelynn had never gone to college and it wasn't exactly easy to find work around the Southside. Jamie realized that, and left the family when Ari was too young to remember. He claimed he would come back after going on tour, but he never did. Left alone to raise three children, Ari's mother struggled. She dabbled in several different drugs, and the leftovers were often there for Ari to experiment with to her liking. Her mom was never present enough to care for her, and she developed reckless habits due to it. When she was seventeen, her mother killed herself because she couldn't face the stress of being a single mother anymore. Shortly after, she lost one of her brothers to gang violence. The other fled to some high-profile city or another (he never told Ari the name) to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer and escape the fate the rest of the Hendricks family seemed to face. This left Ari alone in their run-down apartment, having to fend for herself and make enough money to survive.

Cohutta is extremely friendly and nice to everyone. He is very inviting and welcoming. He will always be there for you if you feel the need to vent or if you just want to cry on his shouder. He is a great listener as he doesn't talk very much. He is quiet but this is due to his observant nature. He is always paying attention and listening even when it seems as if he isn't. You may be suprised at how much he knows about you. However, despite his quiet nature, he can most definitely engage in a conversation with you. He isn't really one to start a conversation but if you talk to him he will speak. He is also very logical and loves to form his own opinions, beilefs, and ideas. He will also listen to your ideas as he is very open minded. He doesn't really cry or get frustrated ever despite everything that's happened to him. He just doesn't see the need to get worked up over tings he hasn't controll over. He is a very hard worker and not a big spender, infact he loves saving.


Some negative traits about Cohutta include his stubborn nature. When he sets his mind on something he will set out to make sure it happens. He is a closed book for the most part. If he opens up to you, you better have been listening because he rarely repeats himself. He doesn't like to.

He was born in California to illegal immigrant parents. When he was 12, his parents were discovered and had to be taken back to Mexico. Cohutta was devastated and even if he could have went with them his father wouldn't allow him. He wanted his son to have the best shot possible and he beileved America was perfect for that. Cohutta was put into the foster care system and was moved around until he finally found a fit with a small family. His foster parents had a daughter who was in college. He still lives with his foster family and helps his foster father out at the local car shop.


Cohutta is an aspiring entrepreneur. He carries with him a small leather journal that he uses to jot down random notes of ideas he comes up with. He is also very good with numbers.

Dakota was born to Alice Harpley and Adrian Cormick, two high school students who made plenty of mistakes and one being Dakota. No surprise that his mother couldn't convince the father to stay with her and help raise their child. The man left a few bucks and went on his way, as if leaving the poor woman some money would make any difference. Dakota's mother was a woman who clung to any man that gave her the slightest of attention. She had a bad taste for men and couldn't hold one on a leash for long. Dakota had to take care of himself, for the most part, when his mother would just leave a note saying she'd be back soon though all those soon's grew into days, weeks, and months as Dakota got older. Dakota is a victim of being a mama's boy. He even passed up the chance to pursue college because of his mother who craves the attention of any man, including her own son. Around the age of 20, Dakota found how easy it was to make money by sleeping with strangers. Sure he got busted a few times and tried to hold down a decent job a couple of times but for know, sleeping with men is easy cash. Dakota lives with his best-friend, Genevieve Church, who helps him pay for the bills. His mother technically still lives with him though she only drops by on occasion when it's convenient for her.

Genevieve Church is the outcome of a drunken one-night-stand. Her father, Joseph, hadn't planned to have a child that night but when your drunk, you do regretful things. Her mother is a mystery to her and it seems to be a mystery to her father too. It's always been just Genevieve and her father, no other woman or child has come into their lives. Few have tried but Joseph isn't really a family man. Her father isn't the best role model but he's kind to her and that's all that matters. Genevieve and her father hold a close relationship, even to the point where she gave up her dreams of being an actress just to stuck around after high school to look after her old man. "Let's just say my life isn't all that fancy. My mom's dead, my dad lives in the corner of his bedroom, and my cousin's goal in life is having a total of 10 wives. Perfect, just perfect."


Addison was born to a young couple in Calabasas, California alongside her twin brother Beau on the 15th of July, 1996. Their family wasn't crazy rich, but they had enough to live a happy, plentiful life. Addison's parents had stable jobs in a consulting company and their lives seemed practically perfect. However, one day Addison's parents got into a car crash and her mother didn't survive. Addison and Beau were still only 13 and starting then their lives changed forever. Her father had a nervous breakdown and developed severe anxiety. He skipped many days of work which led to the pink slip. Getting fired was just the start of the troubled lives they had ahead of them. Addison and Beau's father barely left his room, or even the bed. The two siblings' educational time was replaced with jobs. Beau was the stock boy at the grocery store. Addison was the counter girl. This job was awful. The customers were rude and they got hardly any income. That's why they had to leave their house in Calabasas to move to somewhere with lower prices. The economy was their worst enemy. The location to which they moved was the Southside of Chicago. As Addison and Beau grew up they got used to skipping school for work and hopped from job to job, trying to earn more money and put food on their table. Addison is currently working as a roller diner girl at the nearby diner, Sally's.

Kyle grew up in The Projects with 6 younger siblings and her mother. She doesn't know who her father is,


seeing as she was a product of a high school hook up gone wrong. Her mother jumped around from boyfriend


to boyfriend, popping out kids every couple years. After awhile seeing random guys leaving her mothers room


didn't phase her anymore. Until one day when everything changed. They guy her mother brought home, stayed.


He stayed for 6 months, long enough to feed her mothers addiction various medications. After he left her


mother, her mothers addiction grew even stronger. Not only a month later her mother died of a drug over dose.


Kyle didn't shed a tear when she found out. If anything it made her hate her mother even more. Her siblings


and her were all sent into different foster homes, and since that day, Kyle hasn't seen her siblings.


The adjustment into a foster home wasn't easy for Kyle. She began to develop abandonment issues causing her


to never trust anyone or let them in. She lets all her emotions build up inside; eating away at her. In high


school she started to self harm and engage in reckless actions. She didn't care what happened to her. As she


got older she started to get attention for boys, and she liked it. Almost every Friday night you could find


her at a party, drinking her problems away and looking for any form of love in all the wrong places.


Kyle has trouble finding solace in people and things, but dancing is the one thing that does still bring her that.

Biography:


Lisbeth never really had much of a story. Well, not that anyone wanted to hear. Her father was a deadbeat alcoholic that no one liked to be around, and her mother was nowhere to be seen after she was born. Yeah, Lisbeth's family wasn't the best, maybe close to the worst. In times of soberness, which were very few and far between, Lisbeth's father often told stories about her mother. Sometimes she was portrayed as a wonderful lady he fell in love with instantly, sometimes she was portrayed as a terrible backstabber who left him and her child.


As Lisbeth grew up, she was infuenced by many things. In fact, since the whole city was nasty, she would never even call it influence. It's just how everyone was. She never found it all that meaningful to be different, so she went with the crowd. Alcohol? Check. Drugs? On occasions. Terrible personality? Check again. The Southside really ruined Lisbeth, but for all she cared, she was perfectly fine, and everyone else thought so too. However, that didn't mean that problems were gone. Bullies were a must. It didn't help that living in the Southside was pretty depressing as well. As Lisbeth was never one for violence, she let everything out through writing, when she could get her crappy computer she saved up for to work. It was all she did with her freetime once she realized the wonders of writing. Her teenage life was dedicated to fixing her computer and writing. She loved it so much that once she reached 18, she decided it would become her career, and is now trying to write a half-decent book that will sell, while juggling taking care of her no-good father and her part-time job at the grocery store.

Ashton Young was born in Santa Barbara, California to an unmarried couple who hadn't planned on having a child. He was truly a mistake. Almost right after he was born, he was given to his aunt, who sent him to a boarding school. As he grew up, he seemed to be very different from other boys, and he didn't care to hide it very much. Whenever he was home, his great-aunt would lecture him about how a boy shouldn't act the way he did, with taking home economics classes and pretending to be a woman.


One day, Ashton decided he'd tried hard enough to be agreeable and he was done with it. He put on his prettiest make-up and outfit before packing up a few belongings and leaving. He took buses all the way from Santa Barbara to the South Side of Chicago, using up a small chunk of the money he had been saving. It took him some time and just a little bit of street walking to get on his feet. Eventually, he managed to get a job as a bartender at a pretty popular nightclub and a place to live with a girl he befriended.

The fabulous @Lovely Bones has offerred to scoop up the recently reopened female spot, so while she's working on her character skelly I'll start writing my first post so we can get this show on the road! Born into a very judgmental and overly southern family, Dottie was considered a miracle child since her mother was told there wasn't in any way possible that she could have children. Well, look who's a walking proof. Ever since she was a small girl, Dottie would get into her dad's cassettes and sneak them into her room, just listening to them back to back. Her father knew this was happening but he would've never tried to stop it. Only because he was proud of the fact that his only daughter took it upon herself to listen to 70s rock than the bullshit that played on the radio. Enrolled in a-- "bumpkin hell" so she liked to call it--Dottie lived her 4 years of high school pissed off and tired. She was looked at as an outcast, simply because you would have to drive a pick up truck, wear mud stained jeans and cowboy boots to fit in, while Dottie took a liking to leather and spikes. Shortly after graduating, she said farewell and moved further up north where she rooms with someone who has the same taste in music, sharing a flat so the rent is feasible for both. ​
