Crogus was on a club. The special thing about it is that it had a casino attached to it. The blue lights would flash in everyone's eyes but they didn't mind. They were having fun. The music was also very loud. Everyone was dancing, flirting, kissing, gambling or just playing games. Crogus would be sitting in one of the couches. There were two girls with him. One was just a normal human, or mundane as everyone in the shadow realm would call her. The other was a vampire. Crogus was having fun with them, kissing and flirting. He would also be playing poker with his warlock friends. One would have two goat horns, other would have rabbit ears and the final one a light red coloured skin.

Marielle walked into the club, her ears automatically being assaulted with the loud pounding of the music's base, and her nose with the smell of alcohol and cigarette smoke. Quite frankly she hated these clubs; they were repulsing.


Looking around the building, she tried to focus in and sense his magic, like she could do at times. She needed to find the one that went by the name Crogus.


As she passed the couch he was sitting at, her metaphorical sensor practically lit up, and she turned slightly, looking at him. It wouldn't be a good idea to just walk up to him. Too many people around. She would have to lure him to her on his own.


Luckily, her sister had chosen her outfit that night, in case this happened. She was wearing high heeled boots, and a skin tight dress that hugged her in all the right places. Her lips were stained a dark wine red, and her hair was down and curled. She looked good.


She sent him a look, meeting his eyes, and fave him a sideways smile, winking at him before turning back around and continued to walk away gracefully. She hoped that her natural appearance would be good enough to lure him.

Crogus smiles. He was bored with them. "We will continue this game later guys. Ladies I'll come back in a bit" he winks at her and gets up. He was actually bored of them. He needed a new toy. He knew she was a shadowhunter. However angel blood was his favourite. He walks towards with a smile on his face. His frog eyes would follow every movement. Well a shadow hunter... it's been months since one came to ask me for help... I wonder what will be my deal... Hum yes... that is a good idea Crogus! he will follow her until she stops

While he was following her, so was another person. Ironically, a vampire man. The man, knowing Crogus was following the woman, waited for him to be in their line of sight before making his move.


Marielle beat him to it. Turning, she looked into the man's eyes, her eyes flashing yellow for a moment, before his turned the same color. Slowly, he made his way towards her, pushing her against a wall.


He got closer to her lips, thinking she would be easy prey. She had different plans. The palms of her hands began to form a green flame in them. She thrust her hand out, sending him away from her, before walking past Crogus, grabbing him and pulling him into a side room. "How did I know you'd follow me?"

he smiles "Well. You are a shadowhunter and you look like you need me. Plus I wouldn't refuse a request from such a pretty women right? he chuckles "So why didd you came here darling? I bet it wasn't to show that dress" he winks at her. He also just had some questions. For example how in the world did she performed magic in front of him. He put his arms on her hips "Make it quick. I have a game to finish. You know warlocks. We arent creatures with alot of patience am I right?"

Laughing slightly, she put her hands on his, and removed them from her hips. "No we are not. And I myself do not have much patience with people who insist on touching me."





She looked at his abnormal eyes with her own. "I suggest you watch where you put these things" she motioned to his hands. "If you don't, I'm sure you'll find yourself in the same boat as the bloodsucker over there."





"And yes, I did come to seek you out, but it doesn't need I need you specifically. It was just recommended that I come to you. I'm sure Magnus would be more than willing to help me."


As she spoke, she made a small ball of green flame in her hand and began to move it around, giving her a pretty cryptic feeling in the way of her aura and the way her being was presented overall.

he chuckles "Magnus Bane... Yes I'm sure he would help you... not because of you but because of a certain person. So what would you want from a warlock Lightwood?" he smiles. "And that vampire is an ant compared to me... but I'l play nice for now... after all I always loved a good challenge... and you, darling... you might be like that."

"Actually, Magnus is a very dear friend of mine. I've known him before he met my brother." She growled at him, her eyes quickly switching from a wine red to a bright Crimson.





"Yes, the vampire may be an ant to you, but right now, you're both minuscule compared to me. My abilities have been going a bit insane lately. The Silent Brothers suggested I go to you, since Magnus would be a bit...busy... With my brother."





Her eyes narrowed. "Right now I'm wondering if the control is worth putting up with you."





Her eyes began to change again, to a blue so light, it was nearly white. It mixed in with the Crimson; so they were blue with specks of red. Anger and annoyance.

She used her magic to push him back about three feet, so that he wasn't so close to her. "And for future reference, personal space is a virtue to me."

She snorted. "I pulled you in here to talk to you, and you pinned yourself against me. It is not my fault my sister forced me to wear this tonight. You better control yourself."





She sighed. "For one, I do not own any necklaces except for one that my brother gave me when I was younger. And I'll be damned before I give that one up. And for two, why would I kiss you? I'm no princess. I don't kiss frogs."

He laughs out loud "Damn you are funny. Nothing compared to your parente... Anyways I want a bit of your blood then instead of the necklace. So do we have a deal Lightwood?"

She reached up and smacked the back of his head. "Hell no!" She said, giving him a glare.


She began walking towards the door. "I give up. I'll go back to France. I know I'll find much better there. Goodbye, Frog Boy. Enjoy your night."

He sighs " wait!! Very well I will help you for free! But I really need to be the only one to help you control your powers! I dont want the others to know of my methods"

"I don't go running around like 'oh look at me, I'm Marielle Lightwood and I'm the best damn Shadowhunter my age! I can do magic and spells and shit, and this guy is who I owe it all to!" She made grand hand movements to emphasize her point.

She was silent for a moment. Her eyes examined him, looking him up and down, searching for an indicator that something was potentially dangerous about him. Finding none, she sighed. "Fine." She said. "On one condition. You work alongside Magnus if I deem it necessary. And he is the only one that knows what is going on."

"Fine. Do I stilk get the kiss?" he smiles. It was half joke. The other part was to tease her a bit

"You wish, Frog Boy" she said, before walking out of the room and towards the exit to the club. She picked up a beer on the way out, and began to drink it. She was the only one of anyone in the institute who would drink, even if it was only when she was stressed.

he sighs and walks towards his friends. He explain that has to leave. He grabs his chips. Says goodbye to everyone and follows her "Where are we heading to? I would prefer to go to my house. There I have my stuff." he sighs. Why did he agree to make this without a deal... Oh yeah right. He would own something to the Lightwood family. He sighs.

"The institute. The room we'll be using is huge, and the chances are that Magnus will be there waiting for Alec and the others to get back from Idris."

he sighs "if you had Magnus then you had no reason to call me. I hope it's worth my time, though I have alot of it" he then thinks about what is he going to do "Plus can even enter that place? like even if it's legal, that place isn't for warlocks... is for shadow hunters"

She sighed. "Of course it's legal. I may be a special anomaly, but that doesn't mean I'm willingly going to break a law of the Clave. They already hate me enough." She opened the door to the institute and led him in.
