Business as usual, the same old, same old...Until a mysterious outlander appeared.At first, there wasn't much of a change. She was just an outlander, exploring the world. To most, she just seemed like an ordinary traveler. Who were they to suspect anything? Few could sense the great power within her, but those who could thought nothing of it.It wasn't until the outlander went off on her own with a young vision holder, vision still foreign to them, their true potential untapped with their inexperience. The outlander had said she would help this young allogene train, and the offer was eagerly accepted. No sooner than the vision holder had prepared to harness their power, the outlander rushed forward, grabbing the vision, detaching it from their waist."Though you have been blessed with this power, you know not how to control it. The gifts of your deities should not be given to one such as yourself, wandering aimlessly to find a way to use it. Hmph," she scoffed, hand gripping the vision tightly, "this power will be more helpful to me, as will you."The outlander returned the vision to it's original place, the vision bearer frozen in place. However, the back of the vision had a strange symbol on it in black. An exact copy of it appeared on the young vision holder's hand, and that sealed the deal. They were now under the outlander's control, her second in command.Easily enough, she soon took more visions, adding her insignia and making more puppets out of their allogenes. Soon, the outlander controlled the Abyss Order. Then, she made her motives known."To give power to mere mortals is a sin. Power belongs to those who are born with it. These... visions will only cause the people to become blind in their hunt for power. Therefore, I will collect this power and potential for myself. And then, I will take the power of your gods as well."Her statement shocked Teyvat. The wheels of fate began to turn, as those who once were caught up in conflict joined together and called upon their archons for help. Soon, the Archons formed the Celestial Council, enlisting those who wanted to fight for their freedom to join them. Whether or not they can save their world and destroy the strings attached to the outlander's puppets and bring them back to their senses remains to be seen...gm notes.Well hello there! Here's to hoping I don't get sick and lose all motivation to do anything this time, but Thanksgiving didn't get me sick in 2023, so I have a good feeling about this!This is an alternative universe of Genshin Impact with an original story and as such, will feature original characters only. As such, certain events that happened in canon will not have occurred here. You do not have to have prior knowledge about the game to join the roleplay, as I and others will be very happy to help you in figuring things out. (A good resource is the Wiki, and if need be, I did make a little cheatsheet for the very first iteration of the RP Google Doc for anyone who may need it, though it is a bit out of date). Many things about Natlan and Snezhnaya are unknown, so we may need to take some liberties with those nations as well.Our OOC will be on Discord - this is to allow for easier communication and storage, as well as fun little things like festivals that don't pertain to the main rp, which will be done onsite. We're also open to suggestions and ideas, and I hope to be able to foster an environment where everyone's input counts! (Is this an excuse for me being bad at coming up with ideas? Pshh, no! rules. - what's this?Certain roles, such as the Archons, Knights of Favonious Grand Master, and the Fatui Harbingers are obviously limited to one character. While ordinary members of the organization may be created, for the moment one limited role in each organization can be claimed per person. You can have the Cryo Archon, the 5th Harbinger, and the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonious, but not the Grand Master and the Chief Alchemist. If you repeatedly make people uncomfortable or cause problems, you will be kicked.- Anime styled faceclaims only - Credit your sources and faceclaims please.- No AI generated faceclaims please. I'd just rather... not. HOWEVER, your own art, as well as picrews and other characters creators are free game.- This is LGBT+ friendly. Characters of any gender and sexuality are allowed.- No OOC drama, keep it all IC please. Be kind and respectful to each other.- This RP will be semi-literate/advanced. No one-liners.- Characters should be at least 16 - sorry, no Klees in the Celestial Council.
