Seven Minutes in Heaven [Inactive]

Siraa had just finished off the last of his beer when someone changed the song again, an old pop song that had been over played on the radio a few years ago. He picked out a guitar in the song, not remembering an acoustic in the fast beat song. Starting towards the mass of moving bodies, he discovered a guy sitting in the midst of the commotion. The song then changed again to a Lady Gaga hit as Siraa made his way over to the guitar guy, squatting in front of him. "Was that you playing? You're pretty good!" Siraa said a little loudly so he could be heard over the music and people, "Why are you sitting right here though?" He asked chuckling. His tipsy thought process didn't have that automatic sarcasm switch, making him seem more sober than he is when he's actually not intoxicated.

Quinn smirked and pulled a microphone out of her pocket. She jumped onto a table and started singing "In For The Kill" by La Roux.

"We can fight our desires,

But when we start making fires

We get ever so hot,

Whether we like it or not

They say we can love who we trust,

But what is love without lust.

Two hearts with accurate devotion,

What are feelings without emotions?

I'm going in for the kill

I'm doing it for a thrill

Oh, I'm hoping you'll understand

And not let go of my hand!"

Hunter stopped strumming when a song he absolutely hated began blasting through the speakers, and when a guy squatted in front of him and complimented his guitar playing skills. "Oh, Um thanks." Hunter blushed and scratched the back of his head, unsure of what to say. "Well, I guess I sat here because standing up would be a strain on my legs, and there's no room anywhere else," he said to the stranger. Standing up, hunter stuck his hand out to the guy. "I'm Hunter," he said. "it's nice to meet you," He trailed off, not really sure of what to say next.

Quinn chuckled and dropped the microphone. She jumped off the table and ran over to the 2 guys. "And Im Quinn! I will probably ruin your day! Bye!" She said while running away.

Strain?, Siraa questioned mentally but quickly shook it off and shook Hunter's hand. "Hi Hunter, I'm Siraa." He introduced himself in an abnormally formal way. The music choice changed again but the voice was different, glancing over and seeing Bubblegum singing, Hm, not bad. He hadn't realized that he was still holding Hunter's had while lost in thought, nonchalantly moving his hands back into the pockets of his red hoodie. Jumping a little as Bubblegum popped up he just chuckled and looked back to Hunter. "I don't actually know her but I've been calling her Bubbblegum, she's been wreaking havoc all night so far." He explained, "Do you want to go sit somewhere?" The brunette asked quickly, remembering what Hunter had said about "strain on his legs."

When Marlon was finished outside, he - you guessed it - walked inside!

:D
Remembering that he found there to be a particular lack of music playing throughout the living room, the young man figured it would be a good idea to get things started. First thing was first, though; what the hell was lying around to play music off of? It took him a total of five minutes before he found someone who had brought their own bluetooth speakers to the party, just in case Nessie didn't have any. Noting that this guy was a genius, Marlon suggested it was a good idea to put some music on. He connected his cell phone to the speakers, and began playing some music.

Marlon put his phone into his pocket and shook hands with the dude who let him use the speakers. Setting them in a neutral area, his original hope would be to get kids to start dancing - and they did. However, Marlon hadn't started, yet. When he finally walked up to Constance, she had just put back her third jello shop. Hoping to take her attention and stop her for giving herself alcohol posioning. Marlon would slip in from behind and grab her hand, pulling her from the kitchen back to the living room where people had just begun dancing.

Hunter was startled when the pink haired girl made her 'two year old' remark at them, and ran off. She seemed strange, and very rowdy. It was sort of creepy. "Sure." Hunter said as he rubbed his left quad, the pain starting to kick in. Finding a place to sit would be ideal right now, especially since Hunter didn't bring any Tylenol or his crutches. "Sorry I know it's kind of weird that I can't stand up for long at a party. I'm in remission from bone cancer so my legs are still pretty weak. Osteoporosis. But yeah, a seat would be great." Hunter said as he clutched his guitar in slight pain.

Siraa smiled in response, "Let's go sit over there." He pointed, spotting an empty couch on the side of the room. Making his way over, weaving through the sweaty bodies and red solo cups, he plopped on the couch. Sitting with one leg under him and an arm draped over the back of the couch, instantly making himself comfortable. "So bone cancer? Does remission mean its gone? I don't know much about cancer n' such." Siraa asked, conversation always an easy thing for him.

Hunter followed Siraa to the couch, carefully sitting down next to him with his guitar propped up against the cushions of the sofa. He listened to Siraa's questions and nodded at the misconception of the word 'remission'. "Well, mostly yes. The cancerous spot in my legs have been removed and taken care of. But bone cancer is reoccurring, and it doesn't mean that it won't come back in different spots. I could still easily get it, considering that there's cancer cells still roaming my body." Hunter said with knowledge of his disease. It was a traumatic experience, but it was only for a short period of time. Two or three month at most. Hunter looked around the room, obviously awkward and shy of what to say. You generally can't ask people, 'Well that was my health crisis. So what about you? Did you ever suffer from a life threatening disease before?' It does't usually work like that, so Hunter decided to let Siraa take the next step again, seeing that he's pretty comfortable with conversation.

Quinn shrugged and sat next to the 2 guys, being serious this time. She looked forward to avoid eye contact. "I had a brain tumor, 2 surgeries, one while I was awake, and now Im taking Chemotherapy for brain cancer..." She said, she actually wanted to make friends. She looked at them. "Sorry if I interrupted..." She said while standing up.

Siraa listened intently, interested in the topic but he knew it'd be rude to dig into it more. "Well I'm glad you're feelin' kind of okay now." He said happily with warm smile, trying to make Hunter feel more comfortable. His smile was shaken when Bubblegum plopped down in between them, even more shaken by what she said. "Chemo? That's pretty intense. " He said, his eyebrows knotted in worry now.

"Actually, Chemo's just a pill. I mean, heavy drugs and such, but radiation is quite hectic." Hunter said. "I'm really sorry, that you have brain cancer. It's awful when they have to work way up there. Before my sister, uh, passed, she had treatments for epilepsy. It really sucks." He said with while he huffed out a breath. He decided to relax a little. These people seemed nice enough. "Yeah, my last radiation treatment was Tuesday. It burned that time, so now I have another scar to add to the collection!" Hunter chuckled. He could talk easily about this because he knew pain was only an illusion. He had blocked it out a long time ago.

"I used to have seizures every time I went somewhere. Once, two girls in a store helped me because I said I felt like I was going to have one. Anyway, Im sorry for what you have to go through." Quinn said with a weak smile.

Siraa noted the word scar, his problems seeming little to none compared to these two. He stayed quiet while the two talked, not really being able to relate to the conversation, instead he just listened. Of course he was curious but he wasn't going to be the irritating guy with a thousand questions.

Hunter furrowed his eyebrows. "Wow that's terrible. But thanks, It's mostly just Tylenol and crutches from this point on," Hunter laughed, not really paying any mind to it. He looked over at Siraa who still seemed to be listening. "Well, how about we lighten up the mood a bit? I can play something," Hunter said as he grabbed his guitar and positioned it on under his arm. "Any requests?" He asked the two.

Quinn thought for a second. "Have you heard of the band Never Shout Never?" She asked as she tilted her head.

"Oh sure." Hunter said as he strummed the metallic strings for and even sound. "I know Trouble by heart. But I can play anything else if you want." He looked at Siraa, waiting to hear his opinions on a song choice.

Siraa's gay side almost shone through when Bubblegum said NeverShoutNever, getting overly excited. "That'd be cool, I love them." He said finally, calming his voice down so he didn't squeal like a fangirl. He loved their songs and knew every word, singing along to them loud and proud. Though he wouldn't do that here, he didn't have confidence in his voice like Bubblegum did even though he knew he wasn't bad.

Constance was surprised by her encounter with Marlon. She was just starting to feel relaxed when he came and practically dragged her into the dance floor. What ever buzz she had manage to acquire was now gone due to the fear that took over from being so close to Marlon in the dance floor. Constance turned bright red and awkwardly stood there as Marlon dance around her.

Nessie was noticing the party was beginning to liven up a bit so she ran to her room and got pieces of paper and pens. She turned down the music and gathered everyone in the living room. "Hey guys! I hope you all are enjoy yourselves. You better be if not I want my money for the beer I got you guys. Anyway... I thought we'd spice things up a bit and bring back an old time favorite. Seven Minutes in Heaven! I'm going to pass around several pieces of papers and pens, and I want you guys to write your names and place it in this box. No Cheating!" Nessie turned the music back up and began handing them out to everyone.

((Okay so we are about to start the game. Can I please have everyone just post their name so I can know who's here and who isn't. That way I wont pair off someone who isn't here and then they just awkwardly sit there. If you going to leave soon please say so.))

When Quinn got the paper and a pen she wrote her nam and out it in the box. She grinned and turned back to the guys. "Hey, I never got your guy's name. I told you, but just for a more...settle approach. Im Quinn."

"Alright, but let's do that after. It's a great song though, A favorite of mine. I'll sing too, and you guys can pitch in, if you want I mean." Hunter said excitedly. It had been a while since he had last sang to people, and it was the first time he was going to play to people other than family. When Hunter received the paper, he wrote his name and answered, "I'm Hunter. It's nice to meet you Quinn." he said with a smile. He looked nervously at Siraa. "This is gonna be scary and I know it." He chuckled, genuinely scared at the arrangement. 'what the heck is she planning?' Hunter thought to himself.

"She's trying to hook people up. She is the match maker. Good thing Im Pansexual." Quinn said while leaning back on the couch.
