Aldarian smiles and holds her hands up in surrender. “I am quite willing to let you have the fun of being in charge. It will certainly make my life easier.”

Fletcher was thrilled that Lyra recognized him. He has been used to wandering from place to place for so long that it wasn't often that people remembered him. Even the higher ups with the Dawn tended to call him "Buddy" or "Guy" or "Stinky" when they go more than a few months without hearing from him. He mentioned that the sending stone he lost was a one off and he can totally be trusted with another one.
"Sadly no. Though considering I was confusing it for a cooking herb, it's probably all for the best."
"Well, I think you should still try it. Maybe you will discover a new use that could only be unlocked with the power of soup?" he said with a shrug. As she drug a nearby chair over to sit with the party, Aldarian playfully relinquished her pseudo-leadership role. Fletcher finally had something to say on the matter, "This is just a formality, right? Like, for Lucky to keep track? I mean, I don't know about you guys but I don't really have a 'rank' when it comes to the Servants. I usually run solo on assignments so that might have something to do with my ignorance on the matter"
He leaned back in he chair, almost hitting a server as he slipped behind him. "Let's give Lyra a shot at leader."

And so, a new group was forged in the name of the Light and the Servants of Dawn. In the morning, Lyra would take the Quest Bulletin with her as she led the party on their journey.

The abandoned fort is a 3 day travel north. The road will only take you a day out before you will need to venture into the woods. The fort is up in the hills, so expect a climb in the future. You may expect to encounter trouble in the meanwhile, especially at night.

How does the group wish to proceed, beginning from The Matias Tide? You may: Go to Emerald City, Follow the road East, or Inquire in the guild hall.

Copper will prepare her spells for the day, and be found looking for rocks in the grass outside the Tide until the group comes together.

Aldarian is at her most comfortable in the wilderness, and would suggest that they take the road out to the fort for as long as possible, then take to the woods.

Fletcher was grateful to have slept in a bed last night, he preferred the sounds of the forest waking over the city. Still though, he wanted to take his morning walk to clear his head and prepare his spell casting for the day. His dreams sent him messages about what the day might hold and he made sure to prep accordingly. Following his gut has saved his ass more times than he can count. While he took in his walk, he eventually stumbled across Copper, searching the ground for something. Fletcher wandered up with a warm smile behind his beard,
"Good morning, Copper. You rested and ready to go?" he asked, glancing around for the others he drank with last night. He must be earlier than he expected. No matter, he was a patient man and there seemed to be something missing, "By the way, what are we looking for?" he asked, scanning the grass around them.

Copper rose to her impressive six feet of height. He forgot most of them only saw her sitting hunched at the bar table and seemed small by demeanor.

“I was just looking for some rocks. I collect them. I was looking for one for my first quest with the Dawn.” She said. “I am well rested and ready, thank you.” She was holding a couple rocks on her palm but she’d probably just sling them off at some point.

(Lyra would likely default to asking around the guild hall to start, but would not oppose simply head for the forest road.)

Lyra rose before the dawn to complete her prayers to Selûne before starting her preparation for travel. After taking inventory, she heads to the market to pick up some few things for some simple meals for the road. She was not going to force her new party so simply survive on rations like barbarians. And with Aldarian and Fletcher around, some more perishable ingredients might be found on the way.
With her pack full and an air of excitement about her, Lyra joined Fletcher and Copper outside the inn.
"Good morning, you two." The Kender greeted. "Ready to get this show on the road?"

Nakoa stared at the parchment in his hand. His brown eyes squinting slightly as he read over the words for, quite possibly, the hundredth time. He was to meet his intended party at... "the Matias Tide, a charter house for the Emerald Servants." Nakoa's eyes lifted to the street before him as he searched for a sign or something that would point him in the right direction. Of course, it didn't help that he had arrived a bit later than he had intended.

As he stood pondering on which way he should go, the tip of his long trunk started to twitch as the scent of something wonderful cooking. Nakoa took a few more deep sniffs and his stomach rumbled in response to the smell of frying eggs and other foods he had yet to name, but he would soon. Lifting his trunk in the direction the scent was coming from and began to follow it. When in doubt, follow your nose! And, who knew, perhaps along the way he might find someone that could point him where he needed to go.

As it turned out, however, his sense of smell and intuition were correct as the scent trail lead him to a longhouse, the wooden plaque reading, "Matias Tide." See! He knew he would find it! Nakoa grinned and patted his stomach as he approached the longhouse. Hopefully the party he was supposed to meet was still here. And hopefully he was just in time for breakfast!

As the group is standing out on the street, Gurwin looks over at the approaching elephant man and while you cannot see it though his mask, he does raise an eyebrow. The unknown being is wearing the emblem of the Servants, so it is possible that he is there to meet them. He makes the comment, “My friends, it would appear that we have company approaching.” In a louder comment to the newcomer, he says, “Greetings, neighbor. You appear to be on the search for something. Is there something we can do to assist you?” He shifts his stance to show that he is also wearing the talisman of the Servants along with the holy symbol of Sune.

Aldarian looks over at the elephant man with curiosity in her face. She doesn’t reach for any weapon, but she does listen to what he might say in response to Gurwin’s comment.

Nakoa glanced at the group that gathered in front of the longhouse. Could this possibly be the group he was ment to seek out? He grinned and touched his trunk to his forehead in greeting as he approached and one of the members turned to address him.

"Greetings to you as well," Nakoa responded. He pulled out the letter he had received along with the badge that had come with it. "I am here to join the... uh..." Nakoa turned the letter so that he could look at it. "The Servants of Dawn."

He looked back at the one that had spoken to him. "I'm assuming that's you lot, yes?" He gave a sheepish smile and scratched at the back of his head. "Sorry I'm late, I had a little trouble with the directions. Name's Nakoa, friend."

Nakoa reached out a large hand to shake the other's.

Gurwin takes the proffered hand in his own and says, “Well met, Nakoa. I am Gurwin and yes, you have indeed found the Servants of the Dawn. These are my traveling companions, all of which are members of the Servants.” He takes a moment to introduce the group to the newcomer. “We were just about to depart on a mission to end the threat of a group of goblins that have taken over a fort a few days travel from here. Are you looking to join our ranks on this endeavor?”

A deep rumbling emitted from Nakoa as he took Gurwin's hand in his and gave it a good shake.

"Well met, indeed," Nakoa commented with a happy flap of his large ears. He turned to eye the others in the group with eager curiosity. "And well met to you as well. I'm glad I wasn't too late." Nakoa turned back to Gurwin. "Goblins you say? Aye, I've faced a few in the past. I don't think it'll hurt to get some more."

His trunk twitched and sniffed, picking up the cooking smells from inside the longhouse. His stomach rumbled.

Copper couldn’t focus on finding a cool rock with all the commotion. She stood up and dusted her hands off. They had a new friend who surprised the dragonborn with his size.

“Nice too meet you Nakoa. I am Copper. We were just about ready to leave if you want to join us.” She looked to Lyra. “If it’s alright with you, of course.” She bowed slightly showing the kender due respect.

Fletcher walked back up to the group after the hunt for a cool rock lead him away from the tavern. Walking back, he noticed they were joined by a new face. A large individual with dinner plates for ears and a python for a nose was chatting with his new group. As he walked up, he nudged Copper and placed a small rock shaped like a duck in her hand. Now that he was closer, he could tell that this pachyderm was going to be joining them on the on their mission. That means they found another member of the dawn. That was what? 6 now? This should be an easy mission.

Lyra took a moment to stow away her new purchases more securely in her pack. The thought of the road ahead and the adventure about to be started was making her giddy, though she was trying to contain it. If she was going to act as this party's sorta leader, she had to keep a level head. This would be a new thing for her, but she was sure she could learn on the fly.
Turning her attention back to the party, she saw they had been joined by an bipedal elephant. Not something you saw every day, but he came with a Dawner letter. With a big guy like that on their side, the goblins would likely take one look and run for it.
"Good to meet ya, Nakoa." Lyra greeted.
The small Kender advanced on the Loxodon and reached up to offer him a hand.
"Hope you're ready for adventure. I guess now would be a good time to ask if anybody has any special dietary needs? Oh, and is everyone ready?"

Gurwin looks over at the rest of the group and says, "I am ready, and being an ordinary human, I have no special dietary needs to worry about. I can travel at any time."

Aldarian smiles. "Being both a cleric of your goddess Sune and a member of the Servants of the Dawn, I would hardly call you 'ordinary', my good Gurwin. I, too, am ready to travel, and elves have no special needs to worry about."

Copper poked her claws together. She didn’t want to be a bother with her dietary choices. “I can fend for myself. You needn’t worry.” She said. “I’m ready to leave if everyone else is?”

Nakoa's low rumblings continued as he greeted the rest of the party, one by one. Dipping his head and smiling at the dragonborn and reaching out to take the hand offered by the one they called, Lyra.

"Oh, most definitely," he replied to her. "I was born for adventure." At the mention of dietary needs his stomach gave another rumble, louder this time. Nakoa put a large over his belly as he looked towards the longhouse. "I don't suppose there's time for a quick breakfast, is there?" If not, he was sure he could talk the cook here could whip him up something to go. He was used to eating while on the move.

The team got their new companion some food to go, and they began their journey. A battle on the goblin’s captured fortress would soon be underway. For a time, they would travel together as a group on a horse-drawn carriage.

((Sorry for the lack of response. It’s been a tough going situation for me as of late but I’ll have the quest ready soon))

Unfortunately I spoke too soon. I won’t be able to keep this game running. Sorry to be a waste of people’s time but circumstances outside of my control are going to limit my time further.

Sorry to hear that we are calling this one over. Thank you for letting us know. Hopefully things will settle down soon.
