(Semi-Detailed) Tokyo Ghoul

The CS Code has somehow gotten worse, but I managed to make revisions to the Rank and Quinx Kagune. If there's still confusion as to how it works, I think this image may be useful as a visual aid.

That is somewhat how the plates close and open, but rather with clover leaves.

Fixed!

Good things to keep in mind; if your Tabs tags are formatted [i.e. have coloring, fonts, etc] they get messed up and you will have multiples of the same tab. Also, for some reason, there were so many unnecessary block tags that split all the information there. Just things to work around the rich text editor which will mess up your stuff if you just Ctrl+A.

Thank you very much! I'm not sure why there were so many block tags, but new ones would appear when I tried to delete them. It may be an issue that has to do with me using mobile. I'll be sure to keep the format in mind for future posts.

Differences in format mess with some BBCode tags, having a different color, font, size, etc, will cause it to make a separate set of tags for said different text. Or at least, that's what I think happens, I've managed to mostly avoid BBCode errors by being careful about that stuff and only setting up the fancy formatting AFTER I've typed up everything I want.

I have a lot to learn when it comes to the tags. I think this is the second or third time I've used codes such as these for a CS.

Spend less time on scary long backgrounds and more on BBCode >_> That way I won't feel all competitive (and intimidated ._.) whenever I look at one of your CSs :P

That's a bad habit of mine. Even if I intend to make a short CS, they always end up with long results. The same goes for my IC posts.

*good habit

Alrighty, looks good Lucem. Only one question: I'd assume the kagune stretches forward around his arm or something? Having a pointy thing sticking out of your back doesn't seem convenient

[/QUOTE]Ah, yes. It would have the ability to stretch a bit like Tsukiyama's Kagune. Without doing so, it's somewhat similar to Ryouko's.

Start without me and suffer the ducksequences

Also my internets still being a total douche. If you must start without me that's fine

@Paranoia: Just say your partner is off on a special assignment or something. Unless we're only just being partnered up. In which case basically anything that allows me to pop in at a later time.

If that's okay pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase?

Everyone has more time to finish their shit up. I've had a busy schedule and I feel absolutely panicked. I was planning to start it up tonight, but now I don't have enough time nor inspiration to. I'll try to get it up tomorrowish

kso, when i make my post I don't know if I can fit in my character into this center omgwtfconflictalready conflict

i mean, she isn't experienced(at all) so i don't see her being with the other investigators

i'll think of something

[QUOTE="Kurai Yuki]What kind of Stu? I would very much like to ammend that for future reference. And yeah, I was thinking of Quinque steel I guess, that's just what the translation I read of Tokyo Ghoul called it.
Actually, the reason that the Arata devoured its master is because the safety on it wasn't enough. It couldn't handle too much strain.

As for the humans, my assumption was that if the ghouls could have arenas like that, then humans might too. It was written under the assumption that if you have enough money, you can do whatever you want so long as you don't loose the source of said money. Again, if the human had enough money to develop a ghoul proof arena, then they probably could develop a collar Quinque.

I'd like to remind you of Kaneki's centipede Kagune**?, because that has hardened sections. Working on that principle, I figured that that could happen to a bikaku ghoul as well. If it was only left alone on the kagune, for say a reason like lack of ability to maintain it for a long period of time/way to force it out for long enough to get to the rest of the Kagune, and say that they couldn't for a few years, then it would grow solely on the kagune.

Say that that altered the developmental pattern, as repeat trauma is known to do on a biological level, then it's possible for it not to grow on his body. So then, if it only grew on his Kagune, and then at a later point, they were able to take that off, but decided to leave part of it for the sake of appearance, then he could only have it develop on the tips of his Kagune.

On to the kagune itself, It's a bikaku. That means that it comes out of his back like a tail. Bikaku kagune generally tend to split at some point or another, so it's not unreasonable for it to be at or near the base. It's never specified if there's a maximum number of splits, so I set it at 5. What else bothers you? I would like to clear up that, as well as improve this more as well. Believe it of not, you're not the first to criticize this character, that's part of why he seems so polished, is because I've taken the time to fix and improve my character. So please, help me make him into a better one.

PRIZZY NINJA'D ME OMF well it's okay

oh dear lord this large block of text, hope you don't mind me splitting it so it's easier for me to read?

and me moving this to OOC where it won't clutter the Character Sheet Thread?

i hate discussing things but, if it's to clarify/show what I think about it, then here you go. no offense made, I just want to get my mind straight about this character's kagune and the points you're making. and do note that i'm also not perfect, so if I get anything wrong about the fandom and what it entails, then... sorry! i tried my best to reference from the TG wiki like a derp. ( :) )

About the Bikaku Splitting thing... Having a (edit: bikaku )Kagune that actually splits into 5 is odd. I looked at the 3 prime examples of Bikaku kagunes (Nishiki, Matasaka, and the Bin Brothers) and none of them went all crazy with the splits. Nishiki and Matasaka's kagunes looked like fish fins, where it split nearly at the end only once (so there were two endings). The Bins' Kagunes didn't split at all. Saying your kagune could split into five (edit: as a bikaku kagune) is odd. Even if it did split that way... It wouldn't look too good or practical with the whole five-split-fishy fin. If it were a Rinkaku, I'd totally be okay with it.

overall, though, it seems like so much piled onto one character. and i guess that's why prizzy said it seemed like a gary stu.

if anything, though, you should probably edit the skeleton to tailor to the character sheet requirements for this roleplay. There's some information that I might want to know (ie Mask, Ghoul Rank) that isn't there, y'know?

Gonna chime in here real quick: The only mental image I'm getting of the character's kagune is basically a stump with five dead, tentacle-like appendages dangling off of it with spikes on the end of each one.

So, essentially, this:
