Fantasy Secrets Of Eden

The little dragon landed near the group, looking proud of itself. She flapped her wings at the group and tried to speak but only bunch of smoke and a small flame escaped from her mouth. She hissed a growling curse before a big yawn, extending her wings and launched back into the forest, sniffing around until she found her clothes that were neatly tucked under a log. Liana quickly turned back into her human form, changing back into her clothes though all of them slightly dishevelled.

Now back in her full human form the young bard walked back to the group. She yawned loudly and waved to the group. "Hi, I'm Liana. I was the.....YAWN....Dragon from a few moments ago." She rubbed her eyes, leaning her head on her own shoulder. "S...Sorry, Dragon form makes me sleep" She laughed, looking around at the group only to notice that the other man was missing. "Umm, sorry excuse me for a second." He smiled, running off towards where she left the unconscious man. "Um Miss?! Is that man alright?" She asked Hilda, skidding to a stop next to the other two.

Slowly, Raphael regained his consciousness and his eyes fluttered open. Almost immediately after, he squinted them. Rubbing his head, he looked up at the woman holding him. "Thanks..." He muttered before placing his hands on the ground to support him. "Did...the battle go well?" He asked.

Raphael wasn't sure what she did, but he could feel his magical energy returning to him at a faster rate than normal. He had used a bit too much, hopefully providing the extra power needed to overcome the beast. Looking around, he almost went into a panic while trying to find his book. "May I have that back, please?" He asked, seeing that the woman had it.

OOC: @Cruor Flumine , sorry, I am just nit-picky, but could your posts be a little longer? I just like to have something more to read, but that is just me. Thanks.

Hilda looked at Liana and nodded and looked at the now awakening Raphael. "You saved me, so I returned the favor... also here is your book," Hilda said, smiling, "May I ask what language that book is in? I could not, for the life of me, figure out what language it was in." She grabbed Raphael's arm with one hand and his back with the other to help him up to his feet. He felt remarkable light as she hoisted him up, or perhaps she was stronger than she thought. Waiting a moment, she finally realized she never asked his name, finally speaking up, "I'm Hilda, and that girl is Liana. What is your name?" While she waited for a response, she looked at the book once more and realized that she had seen writing like that once before. Hilda began to remember the time she saw similar writing...

A small flashback scene with Hilda (around 14-15 years old) sitting at a table in her house, a large book similar to Raphael's lying on the table, open. Her father was also sitting with her.

"I found this book on the battlefield. A warrior who wore silver armor carried this with him, and we were good friends." Hilda's father said, examining the page. "Eventually, we got ambushed and he used all of his magical strength to save me, but one enemy survived long enough to take my friend down with him."

Hilda was shocked at the story, "He saved your life... Did you try to save him?"

Hilda's father nodded. "I did all I could; magic, medicine- you name it, I tried it," he spoke, tearing up a bit, "His dying wish was for me to keep this book safe."

"I can't read it. What language is it? What does it mean?"

"The book is written in the language of angels; even I cannot decipher it... you see, Hayn was an Angelic, and also the inspiration for your brother's name."

Surprised, Hilda began to ask more about the book, "Hayn... have you ever taken the book anywhere?"

"I haven't, but Hayn had told me that only Angelics can read these scriptures... apparently, scholars have dedicated their lives to only decoding at most one page, and that was an entire life time." Hilda's father explained.

Flipping the pages, she was awestruck at how many pages the book contained, "There are so many pages! This would take centuries..." Saddened, she leaned back in the chair.

"Hilda, this book is precious, it is my duty to look after it, and when I die, I expect you and Hayn to do so as well."

"I promise father... I know it is his wish, but why not give the book to the church or the king of Eigros? Wouldn't they offer better protection?"

Hilda's father shook his head, "I couldn't. This item is too valuable to do so... besides, I have already dedicated many years to protecting it."

"I understand, father. I just wish I knew what this book said..."

Hilda finally cleared her head and saw Raphael and Liana still in the same spot. "We should get going soon."

Blair watched confusedly as the dragon who had helped them fight Yurlungur before flew into the forest then soon after ran out, now a girl. She probably should be surprised at a draken child but after all that had happened she didn't even blink. However, her eyes did widen when she saw Liana's lute just before she dashed away. Eagerly Blair followed Liana to where Raphael and Hilda were discussing something. Distracted, she didn't pay much attention to the strange book or Hilda zoning out, she smiled earnestly at Liana, her love of music overcoming her exhaustion and pettiness. "Hey! You're a bard I bet, aren't you? I saw your lute! It's nice to see another person who knows the trade.. we should play together! It's been forever since I played with someone, not since.." She paused from waving her violin animatedly, face in a frown. She was not thinking about him, no way! "Never mind that.. but I'm curious to see what songs you know."

OOC: I keep forgetting the colors I use for dialohg. I might stop for now, we'll see.

Eventually, Shear's guards came and took the thieves that Flavius apprehended, and he was glad to see them be caught. "Another rogue band caught. About time I found them." As night began to fall, Flavius returned back to his home which doubled as his business. He opened the door and was greeted by his desk that had books and papers piling high. "Work never ceases to surprise me," he groaned, grabbing a paper on his desk, a "wanted" poster. "Tch, wanted-my-ass...

he is not a criminal, if there is something he is wanted for, it should be captivating hearts of people. Just a person who flatters non-stop..." He threw the paper on the floor and continued to search through the mess of papers. "They've been captured already... do people not check to see who is in prison anymore?" Moving aside a pile of books, Flavius sat in his chair and propped his feet on the desk, he saw a letter with his name on it, "Better not be a stupid claim again." He opened a drawer in the desk and pulled out a small knife and carefully opened the letter, it was an unknown author, but read as follows:

F. Cromwell,

I have watched your work from afar. Your skill and elegance are top-notch and I wish to meet you in person. Though I assure you this is not a claim or assignment for you. I simply want this to be a meeting between us. I look forward to our encounter tonight, at the garden area by the southern end of Shear. I assure you we will be alone to discuss some information I have for you. Also, please do not conjure an illusion in your place, this is a matter between two hearts.

Flavius closed the letter and set it on the table. "Who is this person?" He turned and looked out the window after moving the curtain, "It's getting dark, I should leave shortly." Taking his feet off the table and standing up, he stretched and went to the door, "Guess I should not keep them waiting."

(OOC: Sorry, things seem longer than they actually are while on mobile)

"Raphael...Raphael Ramiel. T-The book is written in a language used in my church." He lied as he clutched the book tightly in his hands. He kissed its cover and rested his forehead against its surface. The book was something very special to him. This was his relic, his way of life. He could not let anything happen to it. Thankfully, it had been enchanted to become protected from harm. Whether it be from water or fire, flesh or steel, tooth or claw, it was protected. The enchantment could only be broken by his Wrath of Eden and his alone.

The girl, who was shorter than him by about half a foot, helped him to his feet. It took him a moment to steady himself. "Thank you for your assistance Miss Hilda, Miss Liana." He told the two girls. Hilda, however, seemed to go into a trance, as if she was trying to remember something important. After a moment, she snapped out of it. "We should get going soon." She said. Nodding, Raphael clasped the book to the chain on his waist. Had she seen the language of his heritage elsewhere? If so, had she known what it was or what it said? Such questions were flowing through his mind repeatedly. As far as he knew, there were almost no Angelics left in the world, so it would have been nearly impossible for her to know what the language was. Right? "Yes, we should probably depart. That creature's shrieks may have attracted something more fearsome than it..."

Hilda returned with Raphael, Liana and Blair. Kaine was waiting around with the others when he noticed their return. "We should get to Shear soon," Hilda said, looking at the sky quickly shifting into purple and black. "I don't want to be here much longer."

Getting up, Kaine agreed, "Yes, we should go now." He set off towards Shear, "You best hurry or get left behind!" shouting loudly to make sure everyone heard. Somehow, he unofficially became this group's leader for the time being as he walked away.
"I could get used to this whole leadership thing... perhaps I should reconsider my role as a mercenary." Night had nearly arrived as the group set out for Shear, which was not far from their current location at the lake.

About forty minutes passed and the group had reached Shear, and despite being night, the town was still bustling with commerce and did not show signs of stopping soon. Workers and mages began lighting the street lamps with fire magic and the entrance arch was beautifully lit by the flames. Turning around, Kaine saw that the group was with him, but he decided he should speak now before later. "Since we are here, I suppose I will let you decide your fate now. Which by that, I mean you are free to go wherever you desire."

Hilda stepped up, "Where are you headed?" She thought to ask since he might go somewhere she hadn't been to.

Kaine scratched in back while he pondered the thought, "I suppose I will continue to where I was planning to go. I plan to go to west... more specifically, the town of Omis."

"Omis?" Hilda asked, thinking a minute before realizing that Omis was home to the arena where teams could fight for fame and glory. The events held were known as Battle Banquets. "The place with the Battle Banquets?"

"Indeed. I was going there next, to explore and test my mettle. Also, maybe find some more about the orb that Yurlungur mentioned." Kaine said, lying. His true intention was infiltrate the arena and become a member of the Battle guild known as, "The Queen's Royale." The group was a famous group who constantly won arenas and was short a member and began to take 'auditions' for members. "Though all are welcome to join me... I am leaving tomorrow morning. Though just to give direction, here is what lies beyond Shear."

North: Lake Shear ---> Ashyton City (A city full of libraries and scholars).

West: The Wildlands ---> Omis (Battle Banquet city).

South: Ocean

East: Ocean ---> Hyrien Port city (Town of commerce and trade, houses a famous elfin musician named Apollo).

Kaine pointed to a map then and showed everyone, "The inn is this way- so if you are interested, follow me." He said, handing the map to Hilda and leaving for the inn.

Guillaume followed Kaine to the inn, though he stopped to look at Leonora, "I'm going to Omis with Kaine, what about you?"

"Well, the Wildlands are just west of here, so I suppose I will join you until then." Leonora answered, "I want to see the beauty of the lands and also the animals there. Ultimately I plan on going to Ashyton to research all their libraries."

"If you are joining us, than hurry on into the inn, we'll be waiting for you." Guillaume said, giving a slight wink to Leonora and headed inside the inn.
"Part of me wants her to join, but part of me doesn't."

Leonora stood on the road, thinking of joining but also leaving.
"What do I do?! I want to visit the Wildlands with Guillaume... but my heart desires knowledge that Ashyton offers..." She scurried into the inn, hoping to sleep on the question that bothered her so.

Flavius was on his way to the garden area to meet this mystery person and finally reached their rendezvous point, though something was off. The area's lamps were not lit like they should have been, and the lamp-lighting is routine so someone tampered with it. "Is anyone here?" Flavius asked, stepping closer in the garden.

A girl's voice spoke to him, "I thank you for meeting me on such short notice."

"Who are you?" Flavius spoke up, "Is this a trap, because don't think I won't fight back!" He began to charge a spell as he waited for an answer.

The voice chuckled, "Do not spark a temper with me. I simply wish to ask you a favor for me."

Flavius settled a bit and eased up, "And what favor would that be?"

"A boy in Lake Shear has a book that belongs to us and we want it back. He is rather tall and skinny, and bears a mage's garb. The book we seek is rather large and out of the ordinary- the target is very noticeable. The best part is that he is in Shear now."

"May I ask why you seek me to do this job?" Flavius questioned.

Chuckling again, the voice spoke softly, "We don't wish to get involved with matters like these. I fear we would go overboard and perhaps choose a move that would not bode in our favor... so we thought to get someone who could apprehend this criminal for us."

"So you want me to capture a mage because he stole your book?"

"The book is important to us. As for the boy- we do not really care what becomes of him, the book is all that matters... we prefer if you would stop with the questions and choose either to accept or decline." A male voice shouted out of nowhere.

Flavius was a bit surprised, "What is my reward for returning the book?"

A small bag of gold and a brown gem were tossed seemingly from the sky, "Take that as an advance payment. After you have taken the book, you'll use that gem to reach us and we'll give you your payment."

Flavius walked over and grabbed both items. "I look forward to doing business with you, though may I ask your name?"

"Call me Anni..." she said, laughing softly.

"Fantastic, Anni." Flavius laughed as well, "I will get you your book." Packing away the items, Flavius returned to his home to rest and would figure out where to look in Shear for the mage.

Blair peered at the map curiously, her eyes catching on Hydrian Port city. She had heard rumors of a talented musician that resided there while working with Cricket and had always wanted to go there.. At the same time she could not ignore this angelic artifact business either. She shrugged unsure and walked into the inn; The best plan of action now was probably to stick with the group, not to mention there was always something going on in inns that was entertaining, they were magnets for the strangest people.

The familiar smell of spilled beer and sound of meaningless chatter bombarded her as she stepped in. Blair grinned, entirely at home. Spotting Kain and Guillarme seated at the bar table she slid into an empty stool.
Stretching out a crick in her neck she announced "After fighting a wild boar and a water serpent all in the same day I could really use a drink.." she fished around in her hat drawing out some large buttons. She giggled mischievously, "Wanna see a neat trick?" she asked the two men. Twirling her violin bow out of her hat she held the buttons and bow underneath the counter and dramatically mimed the glamour, the buttons glinted, now three gold coins. Flipping them on the table she motioned for the bartender "Drinks all around!" She turned to them "You're lucky I'm feeling generous.."

@Aeon Sagittarius @Guardian Core

(Haven't been really happy with my characterization of Blair, going to try to step up my game a bit x3)

In her sleep daze Liana had forgotten to answer Blair instead she followed the others like a zombie, trying hard to keep herself awake. By the time they got to town her stomach was growling louder than she could. "Can't I decide anything on an empty stomach!" She whined, walking away from the group and over to the counter. "Well if you've got the drinks Witchy then I'll get the food." She gave a sleepy smile, throwing down a small bag of coins -...Most of them not actually hers...- "As much food as that can buy and make as much of it meat as possible!" She ordered, moving back to the others

Liana took another look at the map and at the others around her. "I'll head out with you Kaine, Omis sounds like a good place to loot.....I mean to play my lute, yup! that's what I meant" She laughed with a sleepy sigh, only barely holding off so she could eat. "Oh Blair, you asked me something earlier didn't you? I remember now! Yeah I am a bard, not a bad one either if my coin purse says so." She laughed, taking her lute off her back and strumming a few cords to check the tune before playing a simple song.

"Oh! Foods here! Dig in everyone!" the young bard cheered, placing her lute beside her and grabbing a large plate of roast meat and potatoes, eating with no grace what so ever.

After watching everyone leave, Raphael turned towards Hilda. "Pardon me miss, but would you mind if I were to travel with you? You've saved my life and I've saved yours, I think our odds are better if we stick together." He asked. That was only half the truth however. Raphael was getting rather lonesome in his travels. She also seemed to be the most trustworthy in his opinion. Sighing, he ran his fingers along the spine of the book at his side.

Feeling a chill run down his spine, he grasped the book tightly. Either someone was talking about him or worse. He looked around the area for any suspicious individuals. People have tried to steal his book before, but failed and ended up getting themselves killed. If he traveled with this girl, she would provide extra help against attackers.

Blair grinned at Liana's nickname Witchy.. haven't heard that before.. I kind of like it! When Liana showed off her large purse and playing abilities she jokingly replied "Braggart" before digging in. "Mmhmm, I haven't eaten all day!" She slurped up her stew appreciatively before tearing open her roll and picking out the white fluffy dough leaving the crust. She was about to motion the bartender for a second drink before her ears picked out faint music.

She looked around curiously, eyes resting on a singer playing to the right of the bar she had previously missed before. Nudging Liana she gestured to the tiny girl with an even tinier voice "Hey look over there... I can't even hear her." She stood up determinedly, feeling a little buzzed from the alcohol "Lets show these people real music!" She grabbed Liana by an arm and weaved through the crowd to the tiny girl seated at a small elevated stage, she could see she was a quite young half elf. She concentrated willing a command on the girl "Stop playing and go practice your singing volume outside." The girl, eyes now slightly glazed over, nodded and stepped up and walked out of the inn to nobody's notice. Blair scanned the crowd, Mostly sailors.. she noticed and then turned and grinned at Liana. "Feeling up to a tune?" She asked then started playing "Follow after me!"

The tune was raucous and perfect for the environment of the bar. The crowd cheered approvingly as the music picked up, the atmosphere was infective. Blair danced on top of the platform as the music welled up snatching up a patron's drink in a break in the song and downing it whole to lubricate her throat. Oh whoops.. that was heavier than I expected she thought but continued playing anyway. The song got louder and louder bursting to the finale. Blair finished panting, head hazing over a bit, "Thank youw ever- everyone.. you've been great!" She grinned at the applause and tried stepping off the platform and failing miserably. The last thing she thought of before passing out was how pretty the floor was.

(Ive decided that her commands will be in orange.. also figured since we we're probably going to sleep soon might as well go out with a bang! The blaggards are a pretty cool band and was what made me want to pick violin as Blair's instrument so I decided to use one of their songs)

Kaine was enjoying the show in the bar, the light and hilarious atmosphere seemed to wash away any issues he had earlier regarding Yurlungur. The show the bards put on was great and laughed uncontrollably from Blair's fall, though a majority of it was the alcohol. Despite ingesting four beer steins of ale, Kaine had appeared to have a high alcohol tolerance, but was starting to feel buzzed. He decided it was time he got some sleep, but first he helped Blair up and assisted her to her room at the inn. Carrying her into the room, he gently put her in the bed and left, heading to his own room. He shut the door and stepped out on the balcony and noticed Hilda and Raphael talking- he nodded to them and went back inside.

Hilda agreed that Raphael and her would be better off together. "I suppose you are right. The world is more dangerous than I thought." She looked his book again and back at his face. "That book really means a lot to you. I feel the same way about this katana- it was my father's and he gave it to me as something to use when I am in danger." She pulled out the katana and held it in her hands, "The blade was forged by my father himself," Hilda said, sheathing the blade carefully. "You know, it is getting late, we should probably head to the inn." When she started for the inn she thought she saw Raphael holding his book tighter, but thought he was since a lot of people were around.

"Finally, a nice bed to sleep in for a change," Kaine said, blissfully as he fell into the bed, his armor clanging softly. "I suppose my armor won't be the most comfortable thing to sleep in." He painfully got up and slowly took his armor off and gently set it on the table and chair in the room, though Kaine was more drunk than he realized because he only took his pauldrons and sword sheath off. "Damn, I am worse than I thought..." moments passed and Kaine had slowly trotted up to bed, and heard a knock at the window and put his boots on but saw nothing outside, too tired to remove his boots he fell into the bed and quickly passed out, never noticing the only thing he was wearing was his boots.

Flavius was thinking about the case as he was inside his house. "If I do some searching now, I might turn up some clues... but what is this book that is so important and why didn't she reveal herself?" He decided to check the inn and made haste to reach it. The doorway was illuminated with flaming lamps. "Hopefully someone will be here." Though to not blow his cover, he snuck around back and used that door, He slowly pushed the door open and saw a large crowd at the bar- perhaps the one he was seeking was there. "I'll check upstairs first, it'll be easier to investigate there undetected." Quietly, he went upstairs and saw many rooms with closed doors, though he cracked the doors to peek inside, nobody that matched the man. He finally came to a door that was slightly cracked open at the end of the hall. He slowly pushed it open to find a drunk man, naked with a pair of boots lying halfway on the bed. "Poor drunkard, he must have had a fun night." Giving him the much-needed privacy, he shut the door and headed back to the bar and looked around. After looking around, he stepped outside a bit and noticed a hooded man carrying a book; the one who matched Anni's description. "You there!" Flavius called out, "You are under arrest for theft!" Preparing a spell, Flavius was ready to apprehend Raphael.

Guillaume had enjoyed his time at the bar but was ready to head up to the inn to sleep. He didn't know who was awake and who wasn't but as he wandered the halls, he heard a small bang from one of the rooms. He went to check it out, forcing the door open and saw Kaine, who fell out of the bed, but so drunk he remained passed out. "Looks like I found a room, and he is on the floor- shouldn't be a problem." Guillaume quickly took of armor and had on his light garb he wore for practicing and climbed into the bed- looking over at Kaine once more. "He is out for sure... though I should clothe him." Getting up, Guillaume took one of the spare linens and gently threw it over Kaine.
"I look forward to reaching Omis- finally the Battle Banquets await... a worthy challenge!"

Liana caught onto the recognizable tune quickly, strumming along with a large grin on her face so happy to be playing with another again. When she saw the violinist fall she tried to lunge at Blair but missed, tripping over her own feet. When Kaine helped the other bard up she pulled herself up and waved the other two as they left, laughing at her own tired fumbling and returning to her food, gulping it down until she was completely full.

Now completely full and slightly drunk, the dragon bard dragged herself to her room, accidentally opening Kaine's door and staring at him. "Why are you on the ground?" She asked, not really expecting and answer and closing the door. She found her own room and quickly entered, locking the door behind herself and stripping to only her under clothes. "Oh thank the winged gods, fluffy bedding." She purred as she flopped down into them, curling into the blankets. She stayed like that for a few seconds before she started to feel unsafe, the room being too large. "Gods damn it." She whined, pulling the blankets and pillows and slipping under the bed into the complete darkness and curling back up into the warmth, waiting for the next day.

Nodding, the cleric relaxed his grip on the book before following her to the inn. Raphael hoped that this paranoid feeling would dissapear after he's rested. Approaching the innkeeper, he pulled out the required funds for a nights sleep and handed it to him. "You can stay in my room or your own for the night. It's up to you." He offered Hilda. He didn't really care if she roomed with him or not, but it would provide extra protection for the night just in case.

He stopped for a minute to listen to the music playing before entering his room. It was rather quaint. A single bed, nightstand, trunk, wardrobe, and a desk. Immediately, he approached the window and place a hand on it, the other still clutching his book.

"Seal this path so that we may not feel another's wrath." Raphael chanted quickly. It was a simple, but strong ward. The entrance that was warded cannot be opened unless the ward is dispelled by its caster. He would wait to ward the door in case Hilda did decide to stay for the night, it would be both cheaper and safer for the two of them after all.

It turned out the man Flavius found was not Raphael but someone similar. "My apologies, you looked familiar to a criminal. Forgive me, but I must go apprehend him!" Flavius decided to take a trip around the bar and inn once more to do a quick investigation before heading down to the harbor. Entering the inn's bar, he sat down on a bar stool to watch for the mage. He noticed a girl in an orange garb and noticed her walking his way. She approached him and he noticed she seemed to present a question. "Are you okay?"

The girl sat next to him, "I suppose so."

Despite the girl's attitude, he thought to ask her of the mage, "You wouldn't happen to have seen a mage, wearing a hood and carrying a large book would you?"

Leonora perked up, "Yeah, I met him today at Lake Shear- his name is..." She had forgotten but it returned, "Raphael, I think. Do you know him too?"

"I'm here to arrest him. Charges of theft- that book is not his."

"What? That's quite odd, though he did seem to have a death grip on the book..." Leonora didn't know what was going on but thought it would be best to answer the man due to his authority. "I think he checked in, I'll come with you! I want to know."

Flavius was not supposed to have company, but the girl seemed uneasy so he decided to take her along, "Fine, let's head upstairs." Together they both walked up to the second story where the rooms were. Quietly peeking in the doors they noticed nothing until they reached a door in which a barrier had been established. "This must be his room... it is protected by a barrier."

Leonora held her staff up, "I can try and take it down!"

"No need," Flavius smirked, "I can do it," he spoke as he began to cast a spell, his hands glowing purple. After charging he pushed his hands against the door and slowly began to shatter the barrier. Eventually it was broken and he kicked the door open and saw Raphael and the book. "Raphael, you are under arrest for theft charges and don't think of running away!"

Leonora joined Flavius in the room and saw Raphael. "You are a thief!?" She couldn't believe that Raphael had stolen something. Though she had a hint of doubt it wasn't him.

"Chains of light, cease action," Flavius chanted as he cast shackles of light around Raphael's wrists, ankles and chest. "Also, don't even try to use magic- aneurysm." Flavius stretched a hand out, a small purple glow shot out of his hand and seemed to hit Raphael's head from the inside with a lot of force. "If you comply, this will be easy on you."

'Shit.' The single thought echoed in his head even as the glowing magic shot towards him. The thing about Angelic magic, however, was that it required no incantations to cast. In a flash of brillant white light, the chains and darker magic dissapated. He was fully prepared to defend himself and his heirloom if it came down to it.

"This will be your one and only warning. Leave. This book is mine, I did not steal it for it is a family heirloom passed down to me. If you try to attack once more, it will be your undoing." As if to emphasize his point, his eyes began to glow the same brilliant white as before, signifying that his Angelic was ready to be used in even the smallest of seconds. He hated to reveal his heritage in such a place, but some things can not be avoided. His body was warded now with his magic, blocking any more attacks.

Flavius looked in amazement, "Those chains were destroyed and despite me shattering his psyche- he still was able to cast a spell... this is no ordinary mage."

Leonora looked at Raphael and wondered what he was, "What are you!?" She panicked and was ready to fight if she was in danger.

"All thieves say they never did what they were convicted of. You are no different from them." He was ready to fight Raphael either way, "You might as well comply- and your sentence will be shortened... obey the law and we'll have no problem." Flavius was not playing around and as he was about to cast a spell, "Anni should have told me you would be stubborn and-" before he could finish his sentence a bright flash of light appeared in the room. Behind Raphael stood the girl in the witch's hat and the golden knight. "Who are you?"

The witch laughed, "I thank you Flavius for locating our target for us."

Flavius and Leonora both looked confused, "What's going on?" Flavius asked, standing in front of Leonora as a shield.

"You took our claim... my name is Anni." She chuckled and held up a gem similar to the one Flavius had. "These stones are teleport stones- we just happened to see a small disturbance as we wandered by and teleported up here."

Pulling the stone out, Flavius handed it to Leonora, "Use it and get out of here. Now!" he commanded.

Leonora was scaled but did as he ordered. The stone teleported her outside the inn. "Please be safe..."

Flavius looked at Anni and her golden escort. "So what now?"

Anni performed her trademark laugh again, "Take this, we can handle it from here," she said, throwing him a large bag of money. Anni than turned her attention to Raphael, "Now, look at you- wait a second..." she paused to see his eyes, "My my. You're an Angelic!!" Anni smirked, turning to her knight. "You know what to do, Alexander."

"Right away, my maiden." The golden knight spoke happily, preparing a spell. "Thank you, Flavius, for your work." Alexander's spell created a large glyph on the floor of the room and caused the area to erupt in light- but the spell actually slowed the flow of time for Flavius and Raphael. By the time the area had returned to normal, Flavius and Raphael were left in the room which appeared unscathed, but the tome was gone. Anni and Alexander had retrieved their book.

Flavius walked over to Raphael, "Answer me this- what is that book and why did they want it?"

Leonora had made her way to the room and saw Raphael and ran to him, "Are you all right!?" She ran to him and cast a glyph to heal everyone in the room. "Are you both okay? What happened?" Leonora turned her voice to a whisper, "It seems nobody at inn noticed a thing- perhaps someone put a glamour in effect to do that... but is everyone safe?"

With anger, Raphael shoved the man back. "Get the hell out of my room." He growled out. "You break open the door and insult and threaten a cleric of the church. Now that my book is gone, so are my abilities! If they even attempt to read that book of mine, they will not have a good time." Raphael said.

Now that his rant was over, he sat on the bed. Shakily, he rested his head in his hands. "Don't let me see your faces again." The Angelic warned. He was done with these damned greedy humans. He needed to find his way home soon. Otherwise, he would most likely get killed.
