Suzumaki Arakai


The girl raised a brow as he explained the controller and what each button stood for; looking over at him with a sarcastic grin.

"You seem pretty sure of yourself."

She then selected a random character without paying attention.

"Ah!?..." staring at the screen in confusion for a moment before following up with a shrug, "Oh well..."

Suzumaki looked over at him, flickering her eyes to the screen.

"Ready when you are."

"Alright!" Said Jordan with a smile as he selected a forest stage and after the loading screen, there was a blonde girl with a rapier and basic armor and a centaur with a massive spear and bow. He held the spear over his shoulder and was scraping one hoof on the ground. Then the announcer suddenly shouted,"Let's make it look good out there....fight!" Jordan's character didn't seem to move a inch and he simply said,"I'll go easy on you and let you get the first strike."

The girl went dumbstruck as she stared down at the controller.

After a second, she shot the boy a confident grin as she then furrowed her brow at the screen.

Suzumaki's thumbs and fingers began to dance around the controller with no specific pattern...she was just winging it.

Her head began bouncing as she danced along with the background noise to the game; her tongue popped out of her mouth due to heightened concentration.

"I got this."

The girls character was actually attacking...but in a very...strange way. At one point and time, she did something that caused her character to jump backwards in the process of throwing a punch/kick.

Because of that, Suzumaki let out a laugh as her head rolled back. "Oh wow I suck." But her attention soon returned to the game as she continued to fight. Not once did her confidence wane.

Jordan sighed as he watched the girl's character fly around the screen and said,"Here, I'll trot on over to you." He then moved to joystick forward and watched his character slowly trot over to her character and said,"Try not to send her flying this time."

Suzumaki continued hitting random buttons as his character neared her own. Eventually she began to get the hand of the controls.

"Ah!"

She managed to perform a combo...unintentionally though.

"See what I did there."

A goofy smirk was glued to her face as she blinked in a cocky manner.

"Come on! Don't go easy on me!"

the girl argued as she elbowed the boy

"If you insist." Jordan said with a short smile as he began to work on his own combo which took away around thirty percent of her lifebar. He character then went into a gallop and spun around before kicking the girl's character into the wall, causing her to bounce off and allow Jordan to get another good combo off of her. He then backed up a little to create some distance and said,"You might want to be careful, and remember to block."

"An hour" he thought. "It's been an hour since I came here well was forced to come here and not a single announcement not a single word has come from the headmaster or that girl" he thought his eyes moving from the window to the girl clad in black. "I don't know anything about her aside from...well she does look pretty good" he thought as his eyes quickly scanned his roommate. "If I remember correctly when I glanced over to see my dorm room her name was Ikado right? Well I guess it doesn't matter who knows what'll happen while we're here. Half the people here are either here by force by the crud we call government or for their own purpose" he contemplated a slightly grin crossing his face as he readjusted his glasses. "And I've lost contact with him since I got into this dorm room" he muttered looking around. "Do these rooms prevent contact with dragons?" he mumbled while scanning the walls. "Either way when will that headmaster tell us we can go exploring being cooped up in a room with a hot girl isn't my forte" he thought as he turned his attention back to the window.

The girls confidence faded as she let the controller drop between her legs, sending a pout towards the boy before standing up.

"I forgot to try..."

she attempted an excuse...a bad one at that.

Suzumaki now made her way to the dorm room and peeked out, looking down the hallway with a couple curious blinks.

"Hey.."

looking back at her dorm partner,

"Are we allowed to leave the room?"

Her brow was now raised as she stared the boy down, looking at her feet you could notice that she has yet to remove her shoes. Suzumaki was growing thirsty...and adventurous.

She began to wonder if maybe there was a tour before she got there,

"Would've been nice..."

before giving the boy a chance to say anything, she stepped outside the room; shutting the door behind her, and made her way down the halls.

Noticing all of the different dorm rooms, "Hmm~ So are all of these rooms filled?" her thoughts escaped from her mouth unintentionally as she took a turn for a dead end...Scratching the side of her cheek, "Well...okay..."

Jordan was about to finish her off when he dropped her controller and left the dorm. He sighed as he paused the game and shouted,"Hey, wait up!" and quickly followed her. He then shouted,"Where are you going?"

Ebony had just arrived at Seal Bay Academy, taking note that it was dark out. With a sigh she'd walk forward, following the pavement, her black rolling suitcase being pulled behind her as she walked. Inwardly she wondered where exactly the dorm where so she could unpack and get settled in, then again the night was so beautiful. Ebony stopped in the middle of the pavement and looked up into the sky, her eyes wandering endlessly from star to star. The night is so..peaceful.. maybe I can lay out here tonight, or until someone directs me on where to go.. She thought to herself, as her remained un-moving from where she stood, her eyes still wondering the seemingly clear sky above, as one of her hands gripped the handle of her suitcase and the other her Zippo lighter in her left pocket.

Suzumaki was studying the dead-end wall when suddenly her dorm partner came running up behind her. Turning with a smile, she approached him with a slap on the back, "Heya there ol' buddy. Thought I'd never see ya again." the girl laughed at her own ridiculous joke.

Turning on her heel she then placed her ears against the wall...then left with a shrug.

"There's a random wall there." Her thumb pointed towards it as she walked away to adventure on.

Eventually she came across the girls bathroom,

"Huh."

she breathed with a nod; sticking her finger up at the boy.

"Wait." she ordered before entering the restroom for a moment.

Once she was done, Suzumaki exited the smelly-good room as she dried her hands on her pants.

"It's a nice bathroom. I could get used to this."

Placing both hands on her hips, "Where to next?" she asked, giving her partner a tilt of the head.

Jordan shrugged and took out his wallet and said,"Maybe a vending machine...I could go for a snack right now, and I'm not a horse, don't tell me to stay!" The reason why he said horse was because he was playing as the centaur earlier and began to walk forward in the quest for a vending machine.

((Everyone is just sitting in their dorms...basically waiting for some announcement to be made. But..Suzumaki is giving herself a tour of the school just for the heck of it.))

Suzumaki lifted her hands as though she was being arrested when the boy spoke up. A small smirk forming on her lips.

"Calm down there Hylaeus."

Hylaeus being the name of an ancient Arcadian Centaur.

The girl followed with her hands tucked down into her pockets, she realized that her phone was still lying on the bed in their dorm room and gave a sigh.

"Well that sucks..."

Once they were at the machine, Suzumaki waited for the boy to buy himself a drink. She gave him a quirky face and lifted her eyebrows up and down repetitively.

"You thinkin' 'bout buyin' me somethin'?"

Her toothy grin stretched from ear to ear as she waited for a reply.

Jordan looked around the machine and said,"Hm, I don't know...horsey wants some to himself." he then took out his wallet and took out a few dollars and went to the machine on the left first and got a soda for a dollar and went around to a machine with candy and snacks inside of it. He put in a dollar and got a pack of gum and handed it to the girl and got a bag of chips for himself and said,"Alright, I'm all good."

The girl narrowed her eyes and puckered her lip as the boy handed her some gum, "Thank you. You're so sweet." The sarcasm was clear in her voice as she turned and began heading somewhere else.

Placing two pieces of gum in her mouth, she gave a nod of pleasure and began studying the pack.

"This is really good..." The girl looked up from the packet of gum and studied what seemed to be a library entrance...it was labeled 'Library' so...it doesn't get much simpler than that.

With the shrug of her shoulders, she led herself and the boy into the room only to see what looked like thousands of books climbing the shelves and reaching the ceiling.

Suzumaki's jaw dropped as she gaped around in awe. "Now this is cool." Sending a smile back towards her partner, "I've never seen so many books in one place before. Well...this is also the first time I've entered a library so..."

The short girl walked over and grabbed a random book off of the nearest shelf and flipped it open to a random page.

It turned out to be an informative novel on dragons. With a scoff of boredom, Suzumaki placed the book back where she go it from and sighed; crossing her arms.

"So what? Are all of these books about dragons?"

((Ebony is outside with all her stuff looking at the stars xD if that helps, and like Suzumaki said, everyone's in their dorms. Or So it seems, except their chara has decided to tour the school for herself. ))

Jordan shook his head and said,"No, there's some things here about mythology and ancient society too." He then smiled and said,"I'm glad you liked the gum, because the machine doesn't offer refunds." He then said,"Well, let's get going back to the dorms since we know where everything is at."

Announcements

"All students please report to the auditorium. Take your phones. High-quality cameras will be in the auditorium for you to document what is happening. Also, a backpack filled with the necessary supplies will also be available in the auditorium. You have five minutes."

Jordan heard the announcement and said,"Come on, I'll carry you back to the dorm." He said jokingly as he began to walk out towards his dorm.

The girl was just about to head back to the dorm when suddenly an announcement was made; echoing through her ears as she cupped her hands to the side of her head with an irritated scoff.

"Well that was lo-"

she was cut off by her dorm partner as he made a joke about carrying her.

The statement automatically struck Suzumaki as offensive towards her height; crossing her arms and furring her brow at the boy.

"Callin' me short?"

Yes, the small, orang-haired girl has a problem with jumping to conclusions without a second thought.

She didn't even give the boy time to answer back before retorting, "At least I'm not some game nerd." she turned her head stubbornly with a 'hmph'. Although, the girl didn't leave his side for she was afraid that maybe she'd lose her way and end up having to sort that out with one of the teachers at the academy.

Jordan chuckled a little and said,"Well if you haven't noticed, I only have like one or two inches on you. And I was only trying to be a good steed, but I guess you don't want to give your legs a rest.". He then chuckled a little and continued walking until they passed the vending machine again and Jordan said,"Still haven't drank that soda yet."

Suzumaki continued to pout as he explained himself. Rubbing the back of her neck she gave a sigh, "...s-sorry..."

She looked down at the soda once her partner mentioned something about it and tilted her head with a smile,

"I'll drink it!"

Once they made it back to the dorm room she launched herself onto the bed and groaned; face forced down into the mattress.

"I don't wanna go to the auditorium!"

"Well in that case..." Jordan said while slipping his phone into his pocket, "I'll just carry you." And before Suzumaki could protest, Jordan grabbed her and slung her over his shoulder and began to walk towards to door with his new roommate on his shoulder.
