Sea and Sky

Kaito had moved to lean against the wall and look at Adrien. The man grinned, "Well if you really want to darlin' feel free but I think both of us know that 'ain't goin' to change much." Adrien dropped his legs to the floor and stood up, "But you are a useful possession." He mumbled before turning to Kaito, "Ok lad, you win."

Kaito grinned, "Take that old man."

Cara took half a step back when the captain stood up. She frowned slightly, silent for a moment before speaking. "What's going to happen to me?" She asked, folding her arms across her chest.

Adrien shrugged, "Well there's multiple options." He replied as he started to walk around the room, "The one that would benefit us most is to give you back to your father. Or we could take you to your husband.." He muttered.

A look of fear flickered across Cara's face at the mention of her husband. "No, not..not him." She paused. "My husband, I mean. I'm not even married to him yet. He's never even met me. Theres no reason for him to pay you for me." she rambled.

"So he doesn't want you as a wife then?" Adrien questioned with a raised eyebrow. It was obvious that he'd seen the look on her face, Kaito had noticed it too. "I'm sure if he wants you as a wife he'll be willing to pay." Kaito butted in.

"I wouldnt know if he wanted me. I've never met him." Cara pointed out. "And even if he did want me, you can't be certain he would pay you. He might demand you just give me to him." She said, trying to think of another reason to convince the pirates to just take her to her father. Of course, her father might just send her to her future husband once she was returned, but she could deal with that later.

"Demanding wouldn't do much." Adrien almost laughed as Cara said that, "If he's a king then I'm sure he's a smart man." He sighed and shook his head, "I'll decide what to do with her later, for now take her with you Kaito. She might be here awhile before I decide."

Kaito sighed and nodded, "Okay."

Cara just sighed quietly when the captain said she might be here for a while. She hadn't really excepted to hear anything different. She glanced over at Kaito thoughtfully. The captain seemed to trust him. Maybe if she could turn Kaito against idea of returning her to the King she was susposed to marry, he could convince the captain to take her elsewhere.

Kaiko sighed and walked past Cara, tapping her shoulder. "Come on then." He said, grabbing the door handle and opening the door for them both. He stepped out onto the deck and looked around, he could take her down to the lower levels and sit down there maybe... That was one idea, or he could stay up here.

"Alright." Cara said, turning and following Kaito out of the cabin. She let out a soft sigh, brushing some stray hair out of her face. "Where are you taking me?" she asked, stepping onto the deck.

Kaiko shrugged, "I don't know." He said as he turned around and opened a door down the some steps and into a room made below. He looked around, "Was your friend on this ship?" He asked.

"Oh." Cara said, frowning slightly as she followed Kaito down the steps and into the room. She glanced around, looking back at the pirate when he spoke again. "What friend?" She asked with a slight frown.

He looked at her, confused. "Y'know, that other girl..." He muttered as he started to walk towards a door at the end of the room, "The one that called your name earlier. I didn't really see her, I just heard her."
