Fantasy School of Hidden Haven

SkyFilms

Sir Sky, A Knight of RpNations Kingdom
Echo skipped down the newly treated halls of Hidden Haven, his crooked belt swatting the left side of his thigh with every other joyful step. Hidden Haven had just recently reopened, the walls built up even better then they had been before The Unknowns explosive attack on it. And he was merely exploring the halls merrily, pretending as if nothing had changed as if nothing had happened, there being no set destination for him. The albino boy passed students, always sparing a smile or an enthusiastic wave to each one so they may feel welcomed once more. Due to the schools temporary shutting down many students who were meant to be enrolled couldn't attend and he was excited to meet one, or two, or perhaps all of them!

Echo turned left down a new corridor taking in the still evident scent of the polish which they use to shine the floors with.

"Echo." A familiar female voice then called out the boys name, it echoing off the wooden walls. He recognized it with ease as the head nurses, Ms. Lauren and when he came to the clear conclusion he spotted the women with a large box leaning backwards on her chest.

"You took the medicine Dori made you today right?" Her blonde hair was tugged back into a loose bun, her attire being a pair of pajama pants and a clearly oversized gray hoodie. Echo nodded yes to her question picking up his speed so he came up to her, excited to see the women.

"Then help me with this box, even after staying the night here the infirmary still isn't entirely token over." Ms. Lauren spoke through clenched teeth before Echo took the box from her even though he was even weaker then she was. For a moment his steps were uneven, his body stepping here and there as he tried to keep the box steady in his clammy grasp.

Lorelei strolled through the courtyard in front of the school, her expression hard and emotionless though her eyes were frightful and a bit cautious. She didn't quite know her surroundings still and as she was examining them she had lost Leon the man she had come with. And her terrible sense of direction wasn't fairly useful in her current situation. The brunette bit her lower lip fiercely as her purple gaze darted around her surroundings in search of the man.

Yes, it'd be fairly simple to find a student and ask for directions or whether or not they had caught sight of the man she'd be describing. But her stubborn and independent nature wouldn't allow it, she'd rather stay lost for a week then ask someone for help.

"I'm capable of doing this, I don't need someone here." Lorelei mumbled under her breath before finally turning to the school she was so hesitant to enter a couple minutes ago. But was now heading towards the door in full stride, she didn't need Leons help either. Despite the fact she was even oblivious as to where she was even supposed to go.

In a dusty and dark wooded room, the fluorescent light could be heard clicking as it flickered in strength. A tall and tanned man was hunched over a large stack of tan folders and a small and pale teen. He read through one at a time and handed them off to said girl.

"Dooori~ when do i get to go hang out? I havent seen anyone in forever.."

"Not now.. returning student.. returning student.. new."

Chloe searched through and sorted the folders as he spoke, working on her own stack. She had to organize students by year, skill set and experience... which was her job ever since she realized some couldnt be retrieved.

It was the last stack. A surreal and good feeling.

Chloe was happy her home was getting restored. Things have changed though. Her hair was tied up, having grown a few inches since the last time things were calm. Dori could cut it again. In the next week, she would turn 18.. she thinks. Depends if she could remember the day.. or month. And when was the last time she talked to ms Lauren, Echo, or Wolf?

~~~~~~~~
Rory Lester weeved through the people.. the current students in the courtyard, about to enter. The lithe redhead kept a sour and lonely expression. It was nerve racking.. having to leave his home. His own mom... he scared the lady badly.. who thinks this place will be different? He was sure it would be full of normal staff, trying to control them.
sliding a hand through his hair, he tried to strut through the door with ahaughty step, but immediately knocked into another group of surely returning migrant students.
Richter walked down the halls of the school with purpose. His mission was to find the three talented students, and he didn't have the first clue where to look. The students buzzed rumors from one ear to the next as he passed, eyes forward, a prominent scowl upon his face.
Echo let out an over dramatic groan as he released the large box he had been holding for what felt like a million years. The cardboard thumping to the ground of the infirmary before he placed his hands on his back and leaned backwards, soft cracks sounding as Ms. Lauren stepped in through the entry way with her own box which she set down more graciously and carefully then Echo had.
"Oh thanks bud, now I'm going to force you to unpack them too." Ms. Lauren swept one of her golden strands from out of her face as she looked up to find a pouting Echo who had collapsed onto one of the beds.
"I don't even want to hear it, c'mon you're in charge of the boxes in my office."
----------
Lorelei swore she had just walked down the same hallway she was striding down then. Her royal blue coats edges swaying by her ankles as she attempted to steer away from the stares the other students were definitely giving her.
"Why does every single hall in this school look the same?" She huffed irritably.
Finally finishing her stack, Chloe leaned back and sighed dramatically. Yes.. she was done. Which meant that she could finally seek people out and-
"Alright.. Chloe, this is good. You can type out schedules with me next, right?" He asked.. or more like demanded. Dori and herself had a lot of non teacher responsabilities. At least they wouldnt be as tedius as sorting and there were less students to work with. Only the new ones. Frowning with irritation, she started her next job.
"You are grabbing me an apple.. and calling me something great like lord Chloe-" she recieved a scowl and a thump on the back of the head.
"Fine.. please grab me an apple, Dori?"
~~~~~~~~~~~

Rory was having a hard time finding.. anything. It was a maze of a school.. or haven.. or whatever this place was. He specifically wanted to find his room, the red eyed boy was lugging a bag as big as himself. He looked up to see the first lone student he has seen today. She was a brunette wearing a lovely blue coat and an equally confused expression.

finding himself staring at the stranger for a bit too long, her lifted the bag and skidded off, passing her by. Rooms, where could you be?

Richter found the room he was told to look in for one of the three. He opened the door seeing a girl typing away. "That's the one" he said to himself as he held up a photo. "Chloe?" he asked sternly, in his usual joyless tone.

Chloe continued typing as Dorian left. He looked to pass by a man.. very stern looking man. He left to go check on Echo and Ms Lauren. The apple could wait. Usually when someone was tracking down Chloe, wolf and echo were in tow. He would wait for Chloe but he figured she could manage. He just had a strange feeling about the man and after recent events he promised to treat the kids more like.. his kids.

Sspeaking of, he had to talk ms lauren later on. He headed into the infirmary to see echo. "Hey Echo.. evrything going alright?"

Chloe was typing away as the man entered. Hearing his voice surprised her and she jumped in her seat, hands sending serges that powered off and on the computer. There goes her work. Turning around, she looked at the man with confusion.

"H-hey there. Is there something i could help you with? You a new teacher or something?"

"I've been sent by the committee to assist you in regards of the defense of this school. You are one of the three I am to speak to" Richter replied professionally, standing tall and upright. "If I'm not mistaken you are Chloe, then I must find Echo, and I have no desire to speak to the comatose one"

Echo stood on the tips of his toes, his white boots scuffed up from the small amounts of dust which were meant to have been swepted up earlier that day. He let out small groans of effort as he stretched with all his might to retrieve the keys Ms. Lauren had directed him to earlier. She told him that her office was locked and the keys were atop the shelf by the door but she must have forgotten of his small structure and his lack of a chair which he knew she would need to get to the keys herself.

"Ms. Lauren..." Echo whined giving up his attempts to grab the keys and turned around in defeat. Before stopping and seeing a familiar Dorian instead giving him his famous smile as he responded.

"Ya everything's just super, the infirmary is finally coming together and there are a lot of new students to meet!"

Dorian chuckled and pulled a hand through his hair. The kid never has changed.. he walked through and grabbed the keys, handing them down. Looks like Chloe wasnt the only one put to work. Surely ms Lauren gave him a chore.

"Im glad.. you should go get some air and social time. Oh, and avoid suspicious people. I think theres a man around here looking for those involved in.. you know."

Chloe shook her head with slight confusion. "No.. no, im just a student now. So is Echo.. and Wolf is.. um.. look. This isnt the time." She became nervous, but kept a ghost of a grin.

"Very well 'just a student'. I suppose I'll find someone who can protect this institution" Richter replied in a condescending tone. "Apparently you're not the one I heard about"

Chloe frowned and stood up. Her blue stare even and frustrated.

"..fine.. just, dont bother Echo. He is probably excited to be a student again. But ill work with you. Just dont run around this place like this. You look like a serial killer." She added the last part with attempts of good humor.

"Very well. I was ordered to make contact with Echo, there's also someone here he wishes to see the three of you" Richter said, ignoring her joke completely.

Echo took the keys happily and gratefully, twirling the metal keys around his index finger to ease what extra energy he had come to find still within him.

But at the mention of a man searching for them, especially on the touchy subject of the schools unfortunate events in the past his pales fingers soon clasped the keys tightly though his smile didn't falter.

"Oh okay," he nodded along with his words, his messy hair falling in front of his eyes for a moment before he curtly swept his head to the side.

"I got it, I'll keep an eye out. What about you? You and Chloe working okay?" The albino boy was well aware of their current conditions, their hands always at work with the students paperwork.

Dorian frowned deeply in thought for a moment and shrugged. He gestured towards the door in offer to help him in any way. It was the least he could do.

"You seem a bit weaker.. ill need to look at the doses ive given you." He observed the boys muscle mass and sighed.

"You know Chloe. Shes been... bothered as of late. I think keeping her busy is best, not to say im worried." It took all he could do to keep from rubbing the back of his head in discomfort.

"The man is with her now and i have a bad feeling she blew up a computer. Otherwise things are fine."

"Those things can be handled.. and ms Lauren is alright?"

Chloe nodded slowly. "Oh.. alright.. should we find him? Oh, and any stupid moves and i blow you up."

"The only stupid move would be to try.." Richter said as he turned angrily clenching his fist as a familiar voice could be heard. "Hey now, no need for all of that" said Leon as he held out a hand. "Chloe, how's life been treating you?"

Chloe felt the pressure in her fingertips, never having felt so ready to snap, when she heard Leon. A familiar voice. feeling silly for her unusually short temper, she grinned sheepishly.

"Haha.. hey Leon.. im sorry about this. And im sorry.. i havent seen you in so long. I guess its been a long morning. Now.. before we find Echo about this, can you explain things?"

Echos boney fingers fumbled with the metal bracelets which clanged by his wrist whenever he'd make a motion with the one hand. He was feeling okay, well enough to stand there without feeling to wary. The fatigue would only finally set in if he were to lay down or quit moving for a while, which was proven useful during his restless nights.

"I'm alright Dori, your medicine is working just fine for me." He ensured with the wave of his hands smiling shyly.

"I hope she won't hurt the guy to bad... And do you think I'll be able to hang out with her soon?" Echo questioned happily and hopefully wishing to spend time with the energetic soul.

"Ms. Lauren is alright, I hope that is. The number of medical staff has been cut more then in half and she's been under a lot of stress."

"Just a few threats we've received, the hatches are going to be battened down around here for a spell. We may need some assistance" Leon replied almost remorsefully. "This is Richter, he's been sent by the committee to help out as well"

Richter stood in a stoic manner, staring back to Chloe. "This seems a waste of time, bring him here already".

Dorian chuckled, finishing his physical examination on the boy. He gave a short nod, agreeing with Echo fornow. he still wasnt happy with the effects of stress on the boy.

"Ill take your word for it Echo.. And let ms Lauren know ill.. um.. Help her out when she needs it." The last phrase came out awkwardly.

"Chloe was in a good moodfor the morning.. but im not sure when to talk to her. I mean, i wont hold you back." He said with a darker expression.

"Im.. goingto make sure that mans okay."

Chloe seemed to be relaxed as Leon spoke but snapped her gaze up to Richter with livid anger. her hands crystalized and sparked in accordance.

"Okay Leon, but get a muzzle of your friendor his stay will be cut short."

Echo heard a slight edge to the mans voice when he spoke of Ms. Lauren but couldn't place what type of emotion could have been hidden within the words. But still nodded affirmatively with a clear smile, knowing well that it would provide both young adults with a break.

"She always wants to talk to you, your like her dad so just say something to her whenever." He gestured to the man before tugging the sleeve of his top back up and over his shoulder.

"Don't get so serious Dori, you don't want to make yourself so obvious I imagine." Echo giggled playfully, finding the dark sight of Dori though petrifying, amusing.

Right then Ms. Lauren appeared now dressed in her more formal attire. A soft pink button up tucked into the waist of a black skirt which fell around her knees. Only to be topped off with her signature lab coat.

"Ah, hello Dori everything okay?" She questioned.

Dori nodded slowly. Chloe wasnt a topic of discussion for him now. He just hoped she wouldnt blow up on Echo. The boy didnt need to think of anything but school and friends and having fun.

"Um.. shes at my office. Take some time off chores, Echo. Ill finish up for you. Go have fun."

Upon seeing Ms Lauren, his eyes light up signifigantly.

"No.. i dont want to bother you. You look.. erm.. here" he cut off his attempt of a compliment to hand her a stack of tan files.

"Medical records, courtesy of me and the kid."

"Hey Chloe, if you could bring up Echo that'd be good" Leon said as he stood against the wall. Richter scowled and stared at Chloe angrily.

Echoes smile brightened with joy as he could feel the restraints of his planned chores setting him free, completely oblivious to the stance change of Dorian once the blonde nurse had entered the room. Before jogging out the room and waving bye to the others happily, his boots clicked on the tiles of the schools floor as he searched for something or someone to play with.

Ms. Laurens cream brown eyes fell upon the papers and danced a crossed their tanned surfaces before stepping closer anxiously and taking hold of the papers gratefully.

"Oh thank you," she smiled brightly before slipping the papers from Dorians hands.

"I feel terrible for making you and Chloe work, but it's most likely keeping your minds off of what's happened." The women's voice lowered itself as she referred to the events that occurred around a month ago.

"We can only hope we can keep relaxing, just a little longer. For the kids."

Chloe smiled, halfheartedly and ran along to find Echo. It wasnt long before shs spotted the joyful little albino. Herhand stayed crystallized out of slight irritation toward that other man until she saw her friend.

"Ah Echo! Hey! Umm... Leon and a man.. they wanted to see us.." the edge was was evident in her voice, but she cleared her throat and tried to ease up.

"Hows work been for you and.ms Lauren?"

Dorian smiled widely and pleasantly to the smaller statured woman.

"Hey.. its an honor to doanything to restore order here.. and about the kids.." things neededto change. A more permanent cure for echo that restores muscular deterioration. And.. "the distraction is the best for them."
