While the students were still continuing onwards with their tests some of them might've noticed a figure leaning out of a window observing them. However, before anyone could begin to fathom the reasons why it was there the figure jumped off casually. The more squeamish students turned their heads away as the body slammed into the dirt producing a cloud of dust... A few seconds passed and nothing happened, some students were beginning to ask why did the person killed herself, was the school really that bad?

Those questions were answered immediately after the figure, who could now be seen wearing a dark suit paired with a red shirt with a floral pattern emerged from the dust. She approaches Dan as she attempts to dust off her clothes when she begins talking to him casually as if nothing had ever happened.

"Morning Dan, the headmaster told me to come and talk to you since apparently, you're testing the bra-... new students." As she leans over to have a disinterested look at the students before turning her attention back to Dan.

Once back on the ground Thea moved out of the circle so the other students could finish their tests. It was only after landing that she considered the notion that flying up and above the circle might count as leaving it, but she supposed there was nothing she could do about it now.
According to the teacher, she'd tossed the ball a fair distance, 410 meters to be precise. She was quite proud of that, though it wasn't as far as some of her other peers. Speaking of which, she noticed a new face on the training field, a blonde girl with pale skin and blue eyes. She seemed to be in the middle of a confrontation with some of her other classmates.

Thea frowned, future heroes shouldn't be arguing with one another... The teacher spoke up before things could escalate, Thea wondered what it was they'd been bickering about in the first place. The next test was the long jump, a fairly straight forward task, and one Thea wasn't worried about. She wondered if it would be cheating if she just flew over the box, after all that was the most straight forward way for her to approach the task at hand.

Then again the teacher had said standing long jump...which implied she ought to have her feet on the ground at some point. Thea watched as some of the other students took their jumps, first the boy with the hats...who pulled a pogostick from one and used it to enhance his jump. The second was the blonde girl, who jumped across using her own power and let out two loud snapping sounds as she went.
Thea winced at the sound, unsure of where it came from, but the girl landed on the other side and seemed to be fine. She wondered what sort of quirk the blonde girl had, maybe it related to her strange appearance, she seemed a bit intense so Thea was hesitant to ask.

Figuring she ought to take her turn Thea moved to the starting line, she stretched her arms above her head and let out a yawn. This was less exciting than the ball throwing test...

Thea didn't bother with a running start, she took a few steps back from the starting line, darted forward and jumped. Rather than rely on momentum build up or skill, she leisurely glided above the sand pit, touching down on the other side of the sand pit. Glancing down, she noticed the scrape marks left behind by the previous student.

"Whoa", Thea muttered to herself, she hopped back into the air and moved out of the way so the next student could take their turn. Spotting two of her classmates heading off to the next text Thea touched down and followed after them.
She looked to the pair ahead of her, unsure if she should say something. She took a deep breath and quickened her pace.

"Hi! That was a clever trick, using the pogostick and stuff", she beamed at Silas and looked to Jane. "I'm not sure how you did it but you left marks on the end of the sand pit and...that's pretty cool", Thea spoke carefully to make sure she didn't slip into the wrong speech pattern like she'd done earlier.
Most people found her slipping between first and third person aggravating, and she didn't want to put off her classmates.

Jane cranes her head over the shoulder as she walks, it was the flying girl from before. She should perhaps make a greater attempt to socialise, despite the overly cheerful attitude like the other they seemed competent, and lacked that aggravating quality. Only one way to find out for sure.

"A tight grip was required for maximum distance and correct landing, as for how i leaped" eye moving to the pit then back "I'm fairly certain the damage will be repaired easily regardless..." ok what were you supposed to say? "It is a pleasure to meet you, I am Jane....and you are?"

After getting his results for the ball throw Dante watched the rest of the class perform their tests, his face mostly impassive save for the small self assured smile that always seemed to be present . It was no surprise to him that his score was higher than the rest of the class; it was expected of him. However he was pleasantly surprised and excited at the range of quirks his classmates displayed. Genuinely grinning and clapping after each throw. "Wow. I might actually have some half way decent competition by the end of the year-" He'd pause for a moment, turning to Milo and flashing a smug grin adding, "-emphasis on half."

Eventually the next person stepped up to the plate, a pale skinned blonde girl whose face seemed almost devoid of emotion. He watched curiously as she tossed the ball into he air, before leaping up herself. Her body twisted violently as he leg reared back before shooting forward blindingly fast. The motion was accompanied by a loud wet snapping sound that set Dante's stomach to plummeting. Did she just break her leg? The movement was almost too quick to see but he swore that's what'd happened. Eyes glued on her as she landed, he blinked once, then twice, inspecting her legs for any sign of a wound... but they were strangely perfectly fine. His gaze was slowly pulled away from her as he remembered the results of the test, watching as the number blew past his own score.

What the actual fuck...

Dante barely had time to pick his jaw up off the floor before they were moving onto the next test. Watching as first the hat kid, pulled out a pogo stick for his jump, then the blonde girl from before as another snapping sound could be heard after her jump as she cleared the pit, and then finally the dragon girl as she calmly glided over the pit. He wasted no time to make sure he was the next one to step forward. "Dibs on this one." Lining up in front of the pit, he reached backwards with his arms, rocking backwards onto his heels. All at once he would swing his arms forward, pushing his weight onto his toes as he bent his knees. Pushing off the ground at the last moment, Dante his quirk activating with a deep and booming 'Thoom' sound. His body would shoot upwards and outwards, reaching just over ten feet at the height of his jump as he was propelled forward. Pinwheeling his arms and legs to maintain his balance as he continued in the air five feet past the sand pit. Just as his feet touched down his momentum would still push him forward, his body completely overturning as he hurtled face first towards the ground. Skillfully, he'd tuck his shoulder in towards the ground, before turning his land into a last second roll.

Nodding along with Jane's commentary Silas finished putting the pogo stick away. "I was hoping to speak with some of the people on the gadgetry course, I might be able to pick up some ideas on making stuff fold up a little more or volunteer to test some of their gear, either it'll better than just using whatever I can get from the Argos catalogue."

Standing back he watched Jane make her jump with a wince at the sound of yet more bone snapping, too intrigued to look away he watched as her legs popped themselves back into place. "Doesn't that hurt?" She hadn't shown any more emotion over the apparent injuries than she had to anything since she had arrived.

As the two of them walked to the next test he heard a rush of air and turned to see the dragon girl had finished her 'jump' and decided to join them. "Thanks, though you've obviously got me beaten for distance." She certainly seemed to be the polar opposite of Jane with her bright smiles and less mysterious quirk. "I'm pretty sure the school is prepared for some stuff getting damaged."

Jane looks down to her legs for a moment and then back to Silas with a long stare "It does, and in order to give my all I can't be distracted by it, only use it to focus" a old mantra rings in her mind *Feel the Burn, Burn the Feeling* "....if anything the healed fractures increase bone density and strength overtime anyway. As well as help increase tolerance if such wounds are suffered in duty....I see only complications arising from outwardly showing discomfort in either case"

she looks over to the side for a moment more "My Quirk is nothing special without sufficient will to endure it's use, and that will only increase in time as I continue to overcome such weaknesses. Though i am working on limiting the use of such when not neccessary"

Thea beamed, "My name's Althea..but most people call me Thea", she stepped along side her semi strange looking classmate ad looked to Silas.
"It not a competition, so who cares who goes the farthest or highest or...", she trailed off for a moment and shook her head.
"Long as we all do our best that's all that matters, right?".

Of course, the actual pros competed against one another for popularity and what not, but right now they were just students. Thea didn't see any reason to be overly competitive with her classmates.
Of course, she wasn't super competitive in general, so long as she was having fun, and those around her were as well it didn't matter who "won", in the end. Everyone's quirks worked differently so there was no way to be the best in everything.

Jane looks away as her brow furrows "You are partially correct, though it's only by establishing current limits that a clear goal can be set to overcome. I could not care any less about a competition" turning her full attention back to the Dragon girl with a focused glare "There is only one person I am interested in overcoming anyway. And that's myself.....setting anyone else as a targets is fool hardy. It's not enough to just do your best, you need to surpass your best."

That what her mother had always drilled into her and it's held true in everything she's done. Every achievement just raises the bar of expectations, but any failure there after needed no apology either *Don't be sorry, Be better*. That ever distant utopia you will never reach but should never stop seeking, and if she follows it she can figure out how to complete here main goal.

Unfortunately for Dan before he could respond to the woman's question a ringing noise could be heard. It goes on for a few seconds as the woman pats herself down rapidly in an attempt to find the source, a cell phone. She picks it up and puts it up to her ear somewhat ignoring Dan rudely as she took the phone call. She answers the phone with a stern yet strangely calm tone;

"Hello? ... Yes, this is her ... Understood.".

After a pause, she lets out a sigh before shoving her phone back in her pocket. She turns around to face Dan before reigniting the conversation she previously left so rudely. "The headmaster called me, a student lost her way and I am to fetch her while the others wait for me in the class." At the mention of that she bends her head to look behind Dan, using her arms to make her shout addressing the students better heard;

"Did you hear that!? Wait for me in the classroom or else." She says as she excuses herself from the one-sided conversation with Dan for the last time as she disappears in a cloud of dust followed by a gust of wind.

Getting lost was not how one should start the first day of class, yes Eve had done just that. It could be surprisingly easy to get lost when you couldn't really ask people anything. Eve had tried to ask, but seeing a teen playing around on their phone or smart pad was not often seen as typing a question. Eve could try sign language, but well very few people knew sign language and most just gave her an odd look before trying to get away. Eve looked at her phone and noticed the time she was late, super late, she had likely missed whatever they were doing in their first class. Well missing the first period of class on the first day wasn't that bad was it?

Eve had managed to find the school not long after she had realized just how late she was. This place really could do with some signs or something, or eve could have used GPS but she had forgotten. That really would have been a good idea and Even silently cursed she had not thought of that before hand. She had a smart phone and all the tech that came with that and she had stupidly not used that. Well at least she wouldn't have to explain why she hadn't used it that was one good thing about being mute you could avoid questions.

Right now Eve was waiting in a chair at the school's office. She had been planning on going where her class apparently was but she had been stopped. The office works having figured out she got lost had decided to just hold her there and let the teacher come pick her up. Eve assumed they thought she would get lost on the way to a classroom or something and just sat down. There was little to do while waiting so Eve pulled out her phone and started browsing the internet some.

Taking a strange stance at the dash, Janes nose almost seems to be touching the ground
before she blasts off in a straight sprint, clawed marks left where she took off as she seems to
have pushed off with not only her legs but her hands as well. *Distance Run: 4.82 Seconds*

Holding out her hand in front of her just above her head Jane squeezes on the device, a strange
clicking as her fingers seem to lock into place *Grip Strength: 453.592kg* for a moment though it almost looks like she's choking someone, well choking with enough force to cleanly…..that might be something the teachers should keep a eye on.

*Sidesteps in a Minute: 176*
*Sit ups in a Minute: 127*
*Seated Toe-Touch: 144*
*Distance Run: Time Expired*

They had wanted them to run until they dropped, though she kept up the spring running laps around the track at the same speed as her dash only stopping once the teacher got bored and needed to move them on.

The girl didn't seem human, what more other than the strange crack here and there most of it
was pure physical ability without any obvious quirk. What is strange however is not only has she not seemed to slow down in the slightest throughout all the tests standing to the side afterwards without a hair out of place, no heavy breathing, she didn't even seem to be sweating though strangely enough her skin was no longer its pale hue but a more natural shade for the moment at least.

She was in a far better mood than earlier, the physical activity and the pushing had got her
blood pumping. Heart beating in her chest if slowly made her feel alive and the previous issues were all but forgotten as she looks off to the sky, *I wonder what the next class will be, there are a few of interest, though some are still treating this as a playground* eye sliding to the side to view the end results the tests had taken as she regards each she has spoken to slowly.

"Hmm? Did she say something?" it's seems the other teacher had vanished, oh well. Pulling a folded up schedule from her pocket she begins to stroll off in the direction of the room, taking her time as she goes to look over more of the school itself.

As Jane answered his question Silas found himself unable to meet her long stare for the first time. "O-oh it does? Sorry I just assumed because you didn't react to any of it...nevermind." Unsure of how to reply to the blonde's frankness about just how much pain using her quirk must put her through he turned his attention to the dragon girl for the moment. "Good to meet you Thea, I'm Silas. Considering how varied quirks can be these tests wouldn't really work for directly comparing their overall value, I think it's more for gauging how capable we are individually." At the grip machine he simply drew a metal c-clamp out of his hat and tightened it around the device finally straining a little to tighten it as far as it would go managing over 300 kilos of force.

Joining Jane at the sprinting track he pulled out a folding scooter with an electric engine and easily put in decent time that was certainly faster than he would have been able to do it and moved straight onto the distance run with it managing to easily go for miles even after the battery ran down while ignoring the vengeful looks from some of the other hopefuls. Frankly he was a little surprised the teacher hadn't called him out on using so many items to make the tests trivial but it seemed that as long as he stored it using his quirk it was fine. While Silas could just sit back during the toe touch and use the portal applications of his hats for that one he had to do the sidesteps and sit-ups conventionally.

Panting a bit as he rejoined Jane who seemed to have taken on a healthier skin tone but otherwise looked like she had just stood around the whole time. He was just about to speak when an adult bailed out of a window and face-planted in the dirt and told them all to wait in the classroom before leaving clearly unharmed by the fall. "Okaay sure." Seeing Jane walking off he glanced back at Thea as she finished up her testing. "Come on." Not waiting to see if she followed Silas caught up with Jane and walked next to her still unsure of how she could be so calm after breaking a dozen bones. He was thankful his mother couldn't see him now, she would've teased him endlessly if she knew that the first people he had befriended were both girls.

Thea beamed at Silas, she'd made three new friends now. Hopefully she could add the rest of her classmates to the list in time.

Thea took to the other tests eagerly, though some were slightly confusing for her. She followed after Jane and Silas, and watched them before going herself. She didn't want to mess something up and do it wrong, better to watch some examples and follow similar steps. Tough there was no following Jane, the girl was the definition of super human, Thea flinched with every little snap and pop that sounded as she worked.

She didn't seem to slow down or tire, it all made the dragon girl even more curious about her quirk. Whatever it was, Jane seemed to be adept at using it.

Thea's scores on the tests were all slightly above average, but the long jump and distance runs were where she shone the brightest. Though her scores were neverr obscenely high, she was quite fast in the air and could take off in an instant, flying was perhaps her favorite part of her quirk and she'd been doing it for as long as she could remember.

She giggled and waved to her fellow classmates as she soared over the track, coming down to land only after her wings and shoulders ached from staying in the air.

By the end of the tests, she was slick with sweat, but satisfied that she'd done the best she could. Thinking on that made Jane's previous words come to mind.
'It's not enough to just do your best, you need to surpass your best'.

She rather liked that sentiment, but she felt it was important to acknowledge a job well done for accomplishing something extraordinary. After all, the fact Thea was alive was extraordinary, and while she wasn't all there she did her best to compensate.

Silas calling out to her snapped her out of her thoughts.
"Thea's coming!", she called out as she jogged toward them, realizing a fraction of a second later that she'd slipped again. "I mean I'm coming", she corrected herself hastily.

Jane carries on towards the classroom, eyes slowly moving around the scenes infront to take in the layout of the school, they certainly had money to throw around, but the sheer size still had her thinking some of the money could be put to better use. I mean how much must the automations she alone blew threw have cost?, then there was that big slow one, its for the best most of those failed...running from something that telegraphed as much as it did? embarassing...Its not like you run from a villian when get scary or if its not going to give you some golden star.

Sliding the door to the side she goes to take a seat, reclining at a window desk towards the back as she boots thud on the table. Turning her head after a while towards the door for the others to arrive through and giving the previous blank stare as she awaits things to get moving once more.

The school receptionist puts down her phone and sighs. She stands up from her desk and walks over to where Eve was sitting, extending her hand and offering a warm smile;

"Your teacher is in the fields, she should be here any moment." And almost on cue, a gale can be heard blowing outside on the corridor before stopping right in front of the door. The door slams open revealing Mrs. Catherina. Surveying the area the same way a predator would be looking for prey after a few seconds her sight lands on the lost Eve. However, in stark contrast to the receptionist, the mannerism of the teacher is much more straightforward, kind of like a body-guard;

"You're the one who got lost? Your fellow students are already moving to class, you can get your introductions going at the break."

Kingdom-Hearts-3-Box-Art.jpg“Freeze!” A man wearing a ski-mask yelled, shakily holding up a gun to a small woman responsible for running a convenient store on the busiest street leading to Scales Academy. The man had yelled in an agitated voice, hurrying the woman as he tossed a pillowcase at her face. He was dressed in a black sweatshirt as well as black sweatpants, sure to do his best to avoid any recognition as far as the security cameras went. As he continued yelling, the woman stuffed as much money into the pillowcase as the register had in it. Various people ran out yelling, stuffing themselves through the only exit they had immediate access too.

On the rooftop belonging to the convenience store, Jono stood with his hands in the pockets belonging to his jacket. He watched as various people scurried out, confirming his suspicion that something within the establishment was amiss. The robber, holding that half-filled pillow case had come running out of the convenience store. Jono stepped off of the rooftop without a second thought. The man’s form pounced onto the back of the robber, one hand grasping the back of ski mask that was hiding his identity. Jono used his momentum as well as his weight to force the man down before slamming his face into the concrete.

The hero stood up, his digits grasping at the fabric of the back as he ripped the mask off of the robber. He tossed it onto the ground beside the man before bending over once more to retrieve the case full of money. Slinging it over his shoulder, he strolled on into the convenience store before placing it onto the counter top before him. The elderly lady behind the counter was unimpressed as she grasped the pillow case and placed it behind the register before asking Jono if he would like the usual.

He rose a hand and placed it behind his head, grinning in response to her question.

“Come on, Ines! Are you saying I don’t get a discount on today’s tea!?”

He was joking, of course. Jono wasn’t even sure if the woman’s name was Ines. She maintained that dull expression across her features as she stared back at Jono. In response to the pause in conversation, the teacher removed his hand from the back of his head and instead slid it into his pants’ pocket to retrieve his wallet. Removing a few euros from it’s depths, he placed them into the woman’s hands before she turned to make him his beverage.

When Jono had finally made his way to school, he had been about an hour late. While it wasn’t particularly every day that the teacher found himself actually instructing, part of his salary came from appearances. Sure, on the days he was off Jono was usually out patrolling. In reality, that never really stopped. The events that had transpired only a half an hour at most earlier was proof enough of that. Taking a seat on one of the couches in the teacher’s lounge, Jono brought his cup of tea to his lips while flipping through the television channels in attempts to find something to watch.

1540626152448.pngSome things never changed. In Arietty's lifetime she had grown and evolved so much, but at her core she was the same. It came out in little ways, sometimes in the kindness she showed to those around her, sometimes it came across in her love of leather jackets, but this morning it came out in the simple act of adding a dash of cinnamon to her coffee. From the time she had been young she had developed a taste for coffee, it was almost synonymous with her being. Arietty and coffee went hand in hand.

Ari had gotten to the school early that morning, she hadn’t been able to sleep and there were always things that needed to be doing. Now that she was teaching, she found herself drawn to the school more and more. Some of the best people and best things she had ever done had come from a school. The blue haired woman wanted to make sure she provided the same environment for her students.

She had taken her time settling in, visiting with several of the other teachers and greeting students. The woman was always careful to wear her gloves around new faces. Even an accidental touch could sometimes be enough to feel like an invasion of privacy. Her quirk made it a very intimate act, sharing emotions by only having to touch skin to skin. There weren’t any classes for her to teach till later in the afternoon, but she enjoyed being on campus.

The smell of coffee filled the teachers lounge as she refilled her mug. As usual, Arietty could feel Jono’s presence before he even entered the room. She could do this with few people, but with Jono she could tell when he was in the same vicinity as her, not just the same building or room. Excitedly, she moved so he wouldn’t see her when he first walked in.

Once he began shifting through the channels, Arietty crept behind him and put her hands over his eyes.

“Guess who?” She asked, but immediately let him go, she knew he would know who she was. Mostly she did this to mildly annoy her boyfriend. “What did we do to be honored by your presence only an….” Ari looked at her watch. “...Hour late?” She teased. The pixie like girl sat on the table on front of him and sipped her coffee.

Without raising her head or halting typing, a tall woman behind a distant comput speaks over to him "Yes Betancourt is late and will be recorded accordingly" her tone sharp and terse as usual. Her eye raising obove the screen to piercing towards him "I am also missing both your scheduled teaching plans, i should not need to inform you of the importance in first impressions with the array of...." looking back to the student records on her screen "Impressionable new potentials we are officially inducting today"

She had been spending the mourning going over the new students one final time, checking for discrepencies in their backgrounds with several already pre-flagged for potential concerns. The academic records and test scores conflicting with family background and feedback from their previous school for one would need to be monitored for instance, but she was still awaiting to hear back to speak with the teachers of that school directly, the quirk listed as well was confusing to say the least. Then there were others as well Orphans of Villians, Criminal Records, Problem Children, turning down a....as distasteful as it was to admit it superior school out of pride. Where had the standards gone?, compared to previous graduating......at least some had a good pedigree and potential. Her eyes move to the sofa again *Provided they are nurtured correctly* inwardly sighing, something told her this was going to be a long year.

Eve nodded to the teachers questions as it was all true though the teacher must not have been informed of Eve's apparent horrid sense of direction. Then again Eve could be mixing up signals as to her it seemed the teacher was just telling her to go. Well they were training to be heroes and well heroes shouldn't need to ask directions. Well a school couldn't be that complex just follow the numbers really it was hard to get lost. Eve hadn't been that lost just a few streets off really she had found the school in time. Well if the teacher was going to take her back then she would say so. Eve just had to walk off and start her way towards class.

Eve flicked through the apps on her phone and tapped on it a bit " THANKS " the phone soon spoke out. With her thanks given Eve would start towards the class unless stopped by the teacher.

Catherina seemed to be somewhat unimpressed by Eve's response. In the army, she met all types of extremely destructive quirks that required the user to be restrained in some way and this was pretty standard. She, for the longest time, had to take anger suppressant pills in order to make her as calm as humanly possible to take full advantage of her quirk. Nowadays she attempts to deal with her anger in more natural ways, as suggested by her husband, like practicing Tai Chi and drinking "herbal shit". However, she couldn't deny it's a nice change of pace from having to perform raids on human traffickers every other day.

Realizing she was forgetting the reason why she came here in the first place, she begins to scan the area again to look for Eve only to find she already started making her way to class. In response, Catherine sighs, it was already late and if they went at a normal pace they would waste valuable class time. So she resorts to the only logical solution to the problem, she grabs Eve by the shoulders and zooms her way to the classroom, arriving there a few moments later.

Catherina doesn't let the poor girl gasp for air before she drops her inside of the class, she gestures her to an empty seat before making her way to the teacher's desk. She turns on the projector, a presentation called "Functional criminology for hero work" appearing on the whiteboard behind her. She then turns her attention to the students;

"Good morning, I will be your functional criminology teacher, Catherine Tsvetok. If you want to address me you can call me Mrs. Catherine or Teacher. The course will teach you how to perform an investigation, collect evidence and how to prevent crime by being preemptive while in tandem with the authorities. I want to make this clear, you will not perform investigations on your own or attack a criminal hideout without police assistance, we aren't private investigators. Any questions before I continue?"

A pair of hands had made their way over his eyes. There weren’t too many people comfortable enough to touch Jono in such a manner, but once her voice rang through the man was sure that it was Arietty. She had insisted on making a joke about his tardiness, something that Jono was almost sure to hear about on a weekly basis. On days that Jono didn’t teach early, he usually took his time getting in. Sometimes, he got away with it. Other times, he did not.

“Sorry, had a hot date last night. Cute girl. Kept me up real late.” Jono joked with a wink.

That was when Eva Poe had decided to pop in with some commentary. Jono looked over his shoulder at the woman, his eyes catching a flicker of hers with a rather bored expression plastered across his features. The man had met plenty of intimidating people over the years, whether they be heroes, villains or those who walk the line between. Eva Poe was certainly not one of them.

“Relax, Mary Poppins. I’m not one of your first day students.”

Despite Jono’s awareness that heroes weren’t always on par with what met the eye, the hero always had a quip in his back pocket. Pondering why it was that Eva had decided to work in the teacher’s lounge instead of utilizing her office, Jono turned his attention back to his longtime girlfriend. He placed his lips around the edge of his cup and took another sip. He pulled it back a bit, talking into the warmth of the cup before he brought it back down to rest it on his knee.

“I like to think that some lenient teacher figures need to be around for the students, because the militant ones always seem to jump a bit off the handle when it comes to their demands…” The man raised a hand, nonchalantly speaking to the small audience of heroes in the teacher’s lounge. While Eva might have been worried about the instructions regarding the students, Jono certainly was not. Part of it was his attitude toward life as an optimist. The cup was always half full for Jono. In addition to this, the man felt it was important for different teaching styles to be present to ensure the success of each student.

“But hey, what do I know. I’ve only got a few years under my belt, right?”

Teaching in Japan had been wildly different in comparison. While the culture itself was fixated on completely different morals, it seemed that people were more likely to be aggressive in France on a daily basis. It didn’t sway Jono from acting as he did - rarely anything influenced Jono when it came to his actions growing up, aside from good instruction and a healthy home life. As an adult, Jono had changed quite a bit from his days as a student. However, his sarcasm and stubborn nature were traits passed down from generation to generation in his gene pool. Like his father before him, the poor guy never stood a chance.

His fingers had pressed that ‘up’ button on the remote enough once Jono’s eyes rested upon a game of football on the television. Jono didn’t particularly care for either of the teams; the United States’ team’s attackers had a horrible shooting percentage from up the field while Portugal’s team had one of the worst goalies in the history of European sports. Regardless, the man would place the remote down beside him as he kicked his feet up onto the table beside Arietty.

Althea made her way to class, slipping into a desk toward the front once again.
According to their schedule they had some sort of criminology class next, Thea had never taken one of those before so she was super excited for it. Of course super excited could be used to describe Thea in almost any instance, but she was always eager to learn new things. Twisting around she spotted Jane sitting toward the back by the window, she gave the other girl a friendly wave before turning back around.

Her tail swished under neath her chair, a sign of Althea's excitement and nerves.
In the next instant, two people arrived, one a tall woman and the other some one Thea assumed to be a student. One moment it was just her and Jane, the next these two appeared at the door. Thea watched with wide eyes as the teacher pointed the new girl to a chair before moving to the teacher's desk.
This was Catherina Tsvetok...and she was their current teacher.

Thea wasn't sure what to make of the taller dark haired woman, but she was certainly...odd.

Eve hadn't even started to look for the classroom when she found herself being picked up. Eve had almost gasped or yelped in surprise but a life of training stifled that response. Then before she could really register anything she was in the classroom. Even even felt she had been in the room before she had understood she had been picked up. The teacher was fast really fast. If somone told Eve that the teacher had caused a sonic boom with her speed sge would not be surprised.

After fully understanding what had just happened Eve's brain could catch up with her body and she could now register what the teacher said. There were plenty of seats only a few student had made it here thus far. Well at least she wasn't late. So wirelessly she found a seat near some girl in back. Humans did tend to join groups when in new locations so Eve felt it only right to do so now. She also wasn't exactly anti social so being by others that were here was fine.

1540708606201.pngArietty had a smile plastered on her face as Jono spoke. It didn’t matter that they had been together for years, when he winked at her she blushed, heat coming to her pale face. Her gloved fingers tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear.

“What a coincidence,” Ari joked “I was up all night too, but that’s because my date was a blanket hog.” She flashed him a smile to make sure he knew that she was kidding. That was when they were interrupted by Eva.

Ari went back and forth about how she felt about Eva. Where as she respected her work and professional standing, Arietty did not agree with the way she she was with the students sometimes. Things like family backgrounds, criminal records, or even who the student’s parents were seemed to matter to Eva. Arietty felt this was wrong.

She was the perfect example of how someone could have a terribly upbringing and could become a successful member of society. She was the daughter of a villain and a deadbeat mother. She had been a delinquent growing up, smoking on school grounds, wearing leather jackets and ripped stockings. It was easy to say she had a lot to work on when she came to high school.

In fact it was the unrelenting love and support of the staff and other students that had turned her on the straight and narrow. If they treated these students badly because of their pasts due to a fear of them tarnishing the school’s good name, how would they ever get the environment to grow?

Arietty snorted at Jono’s response, almost spitting her mouthful of coffee out. Jono was another person who had grown and changed a lot. All the best parts of him had remained, and that included his quick wit. She couldn’t help but smile at the exchange.

“I’m sorry Eva, I could have sworn I emailed you my lesson plans. I’ll be sure to do it as soon as I’m at my desk. I’ve had them done for weeks.” it was true, it wasn’t even a lie. If nothing else, Ari took her work seriously.

She agreed with Jono’s other points as well. Student’s needed a variety of teachers and styles. Not all students thrive well in the same environments. She wouldn’t have done well if all teachers had been like her homeroom teacher. Ari chose not to weigh in further despite her feelings. She didn’t want to make Eva feel ganged up on, and this was her first year teaching at this school! The last thing she wanted was to make bad impressions.

‘You are so cute when you get mouthy,’ Ari teased Jono telepathically.

One of her favorite things about her quirk was the ability to talk to Jono privately anywhere. Even with a mouth full of coffee she could communicate freely. She took a long drink out of her coffee, letting the warmth and comfort of her favorite beverage wash over her.

Slowly turning her head from the window, Jane takes in the woman before her as she speaks, taking a slow breath before speaking from the back "Right about that clarity part, So how does Hero Patrols and Hero Agencys that do it without the cops all the time work? Seems quite a few fall under the PI catagory" Her unblinking gaze focusing on them, her tone slightly curt and blunt as usual.

This woman seemed serious but there were so many gaps, you just had to crack open a paper or news page to see half of that as a load of crap. Only time she recalls police being called for really big busts, rest of the time they were glorified messanger boys and lookouts for the agencys. Sure it was useful especially given her mothers case, but if it came down to stopping someone getting hurt or waiting for the rest of that stuff its common sense which you pick. Then again they seemed Russian, so given the state of that country kinda explained a few things, and implied others. Either way, lets see if this is a Hero or not. After a moment she turns attention to the new arrival next to her, not someone she saw on the field so could only guess another who showed up late, well they seemed quiet enough so at least not a annotance on that front, it sure beat being behind the tail of dragon girl wagging away like a puppy.
