Idea
The Pun Tyrant
Name Ningyo Comanga
Age 15
Ethnicity white? Sorry, I don´t understand this too well...
Sexuality pansexual
Civilian Appearance:
while her normal self, she is a blue eyed girl with short brownish/reddish hair and a pale skin. She is quite thin, and very childish-looking, one would think her a middle schooler (and one that just came in it at that).
Transformed Appearance
her eye color changes when transformed and her clothes get replaced by a large dog costume.
Spiritstone Appearance
A small black stone with this symbol on it:
Personality: Ningyo is obsessed with being cute. She is a loyal friend, both in her relationships and to her past afliations. She still remembers the acting club she used to attend, and keeps some of that spirit in her every day life, living a deep facade. The facade of a cute, childish and helpful girl that is a little clumsy. In truth, she is a lot smarter and more capable than she looks. Though even at work she strives to keep this facade, though, it does show a little as she has to be able to competently handle the orders and cooking in order to keep her job. As such, she has also become somewhat secretive, always trying to difuse personal questions by changing the subject. While her cheerfulness may be fake, though, her willingness to help and relative energy are not.
One of her greatest regrets is her own laziness. She tries to fight it, but ultimately putting too much work into something is something she can´t bear to do and thus she can quickly loose motivation, except when the image of her sister and parents come to mind. At that point, she can get really fired up to put up with things, to the point where most of her great bravery steem from her inability to let the helpless be exposed like her sister could have been to those scammers.
She loves to sing and watching children play relaxes her, but also saddens her a bit. Still, hardly a better way to get to her inner self than that. Or you can see how many favors she´s willing to do for treats. She´s the kind of person who likes attention too.
Bio: Ningyo had a simple childhood. Named after the fact her first act outisde the womb was nimble on a small doll, and born on the wealthier side of the middle class, she was taught appeal from an early age. Her parents were caring and had no concerns over "defiling" their daughter with taboo thoughts: everything she could be taught and warned about, was one thing she would be stronger against when the time came. As such, rather than any discomfort, Ningyo was extremely happy when her parents told her about her up and coming baby sister.
By this point, Ningyo was starting to watch and love a certain cartoon called "Friendly Doggo", which she immediately introduced to her sister at the first opportunity. They were were really friendly with one another, and most of the time they played, it was centered around that cartoon. They got tons of merchandize, talked about it all the time, even wrote stuff about it for school. Needless to say, it was a major element in both their happy childhoods, but time always moves on. The show aired it´s final season, and Ningyo´s sister, Furendori, was extremely saddened by it, while her older sister instead just moved on. She had her distraction now on actors and beauty magazines, matching her school friends. She even tried pitching them to her little sister, who seemed to be growing gloomier by the day. Everyone assumed it had to do with the cartoon, and so Ningyo ordered some rare merchandize in hopes of cheering her up. The day it arrived, though, Ningyo found her sister lying on the floor coughing. She had caught some terrible desease with a rather expensive that wasn´t even legalized in their country. They couldn´t do anything but have her stay at the hospital and have a tutor teach her from there.
Nigyo would visit her sister every day and their parents were desperate, so desperate that when a group went by and tried to scam them by offering money and tickets to a country where they could get her treatment, the parents fell for it. The money was barely enough to cover a partial treatment that merely extended her time struggling with the desease, but the scammers soon came to "collect the loan". No one was prepared, and Nigyo´s power as a magical girl manifested at the time, taking the wish her little sister had requested as a basis: "I wish Doggo had not ended, so that I could see it again..with you.", she had said. But while Ningyo was able to take care of the scammers that time, she had no proper control over her powers and the real world is no fairy tail where things end after one confrontation with the big bad. Her parents ended up offering to go work for the scammers, in order to allow their daughters to live a peaceful life. Ningyo still ended up quitting school and starting to work for a certain shady but kind man, until a certain teacher at the magical girl school came and proposed she joined.
Ningyo now works as a part-time maid in hopes of eventually helping to free her parents. She intends to study law and politics, so as to attempt to change the law to legalize her sister´s treatment.
-note: the cartoon "friendly doggo" is a fictional cartoon with no basis on any real life one other than in the application of typical children cartoon tropes.
Skills:
*she has a great singing voice
*she has experience working as a maid, giving her some experience in cooking, serving, and the like
*at a point, she loved acting, and she has a bit of talent for that
Magical Girl Theme - "Friendly Doggo"
Utility Moves
*Power of the Imagination: gives her the ability to shapeshift
*Doggo Senses: Increases her awareness of her surroundings and allows her to identify several things with her those, such as the location of people she has sniffed before and finding out information about things with smell-based clues
*Theme Song: by singing the theme song of the cartoon she loved, she focus the attention of nearby people on it, and induce a feeling of cheer, of conviction, calm or just take away their sense of time. Only really effective against low level monsters and normal people. Magical girls can be affected to an extent, and only fully if they are deeply weakened.
Light Attacks
*Doggo Punch: Gathers energy on one of her "paws" and throws a charged punch
*Faithful Companions: She can animate dolls, giving them a small amount of power and sentience while they remain animated. She can keep a couple of them active even when not transformed.
*Say "thank you!" : By getting praised or petted in battle, her motivation shines more strongly, incrementing her strength, speed, energy and endurance slightly. Only works if she feels the praise is genuine or deserved.
Medium Attacks-
*Call my name! : While active Any willing ally can temporarily transfer their power onto her by calling out her name, including 80% of their physical capacity, all of their abilities and 90% of their energy and magical power. She is then temporarily able to fight in this enhanced state. Any who contributes will pass out, and she herself may be unable to move for a day after the effect ends (all abilities and physical capacity are returned to their owners by the end)
Heavy Attack - Season Finale! : She focuses on the memories of all those she cares about while charging a large sphere of shining energy that comes from her fists and chest. The sphere then launches a large dog-shaped beam until it is exhausted. An extremely powerful attack, but her mind regresses into that of a small child when it is over.
