Sounds like we will be doing PVP soon correct. My character will be real good at that. Also you were talking about unique skills, will we be getting them? I have and idea about one for mine that would work pretty good.

Yes their are infinite because the system is ever creating. But no we won't have unique skills because we are going to follow with the basic events of SAO without fully acknowledging them. And pvp will be done realistically Along with the player saying if they will allow their characters death or not is also a thing, But hay if you wanna join me and ryu in our guild then go for it :0)

Okay that works, but I plan on being one of the guys going against you. The thing I left out of my characters backstory was that the scar he got was from a person IRL who attacked him. Mercer then killed that person in self defense so he kind of hates people like your characters who kill needlessly. @Karcen, it is my character who duel wields but it isn't like Kirito. Kirito can apply skills to both of his weapons at once. Mercer on the other hands only wields his rapier with skills. There isn't any game assisted technique or extra damage that applies to the parrying dagger in his off hand. Thats ok with him because he trained with the weapon in real life so in reality he doesn't even need sword skills at all. This will also be a problem for your characters because frankly the sword skill make it easier for him to read an opponents attack, something he was already good at.

My fav weapon is the Rapier and dagger and I have had some training irl with it it is a great weapon wield.

personally i call any use of 2 weapons which a dagger even if it is just parrying a a weapon but i get that you are getting at though i still think that is a special skill but then again with that using any weapons that isn't normal would be special skill by that in the end it is up to others if this is a special skill or we could all in theory start doing that

Well its not technically a glitch. The game would allow him to pick up a dagger but he couldn't use any skills with it while the sword was in his other hand. That said he can still shove it into someones face, parry with it, etc, given he would be able to do it effectively enough to make it worthwhile in combat during real life (Which he is).

I am sorry I must have skipped over it when I saw it but me and Ryu do consider it a special skill because in the game you can't have more then one weapon out at a time. We saw this multiple times even in the case of daggers. Johnny black for example could only wield one of his knives at the same time unless it was thrown then it becomes a throwing weapon but he could never have both of them out at the same time.

OR how about this, You could let him have a special skill called <EXPERT> or something. The game lets him wield whatever weapon(s) he wants but strips him of all swords skills. Instead he gets damage buffs that proportionately level with his character. He can fight however he wants but he has to train himself and cannot rely on the game making his attacks for him.


And are you 100% positive you can't pick up a second weapon. I mean Kirito once held 3 when he should only hold 2. I also highly doubt they will play the Thors Hammer routine if you try to pick up a blade off of the shelf in a store.

Displayed weapons are the only time weapons or items in general are pick up able. When they killed something for its drop it would notify you and it would instantly appear in your inventory along with the fact that if you discard it destroys what you discard. Shops are a special thing kinda.

I liked Johnny black Anyways it wasn't fencing I am trying to get into HEMMA but it is expensive but that is where I got some training Though I must say I am not a sword person. My personal fav weapon of all time is the spear.

I'm from Sin City (Las Vegas) Nevada. @Karcen, that is a two hour time zone variance. I'll also make sure to know your character. With that said mine is also fairly well know, hence his nickname "the reaper." If you could recognize him also I'd appreciate that.
