History:
Being born in Lumiose City “The city of light” to a mother working as a herbalist and a father who climbed his way up the ranks to being a rich tycoon owning one of the many luxury hotels in the city Izumi spend the first few years of his life living a high-class peaceful life, helping his mother out around her store from an exceptionally young age. On his eight birthday Izumi was given an Eevee as companion and friend, for the 2 following years his life continued as normal with his Eevee evolving into Jolteon and his father getting increasingly more busy with work, making more and more business trips leading to Izumi more often being alone with his mother. When Izumi was halfway through his tenth year of life his mother got a terminal illness to which she succumbed before he turned eleven. His father, in an attempt to drown out the grief of losing his wife, fully committed himself to his work, enrolling Izumi into a private business school and going on an ever increasing amount of business trips. After putting up with a school life that made him miserable and his gradually worsening relationship with his father for five years Izumi finally had enough. At 16 years old he left school, packed his necessities and booked the first plane ticket out of Kalos. This lead to him quickly discovering his love for traveling.

Now, another five years later, Izumi has traveled to several different regions and has gotten to know many different cultures. Having come to a mutual understanding with his father in the minimum amount of contact they had over those 5 years Izumi has a healthy bank account that could support his travels for the coming years. Having heard about the festival in Santoris he immediately booked a boat ticket and set off for the islands with his trusted partner Jolteon by his side.

indigo was born in the galar region and raised in spikemuth. despite his hometown's troublesome reputation, indigo lived a relatively normal childhood with katora and rollo terran — his pokémon coordinator and fine artist mother and his pokémon trainer and spikemuth gym leader father. at thirteen, indigo's father inspired him to embark on his pokémon journey with his partner-in-crime: mischief, his shiny zorua. indigo joined the galar league and lost spectacularly in the championship finals. despite his failure, indigo felt truly motivated for the first time in his life. after the galar league, indigo focused on building his team and deepening his bonds with his pokémon. unlike his traditionalist father, indigo wasn't opposed to dynamaxing / gigantamaxing during a battle. by the time he was eighteen, indigo journeyed the entire galar region and its neighboring islands. he even visited other pokémon regions like kalos, unova, alola, and sinnoh. when his father stepped down from the spikemuth gym, indigo reluctantly accepted the mantle. three years later, indigo's gym trainers convinced forced him to take a break from the gym. he embarked on an all-expenses paid vacation to the santoris region for the upcoming festival.​

Character:
Upon first glance, lee can be seen as someone who's disinterested in the world, often unbothered by anything he faces problems with a simple "What a pain" or a "whatever" before dealing with it, usually seeing it as an annoyance more than anything. Despite this blatant disregard for anything, Lee is surprisingly a hard and efficient worker, if you give him a job then he'' surely get it down quickly and efficiently.

Despite his cold and aloof nature, Lee is surprisingly a kind and caring person and while he doesn't outright show it his main reason for joining the International Police is to help people in need. Though he might take his job to the extreme, often working himself down to the bone and exhausting himself. Vacation or relaxing definitely isn't a part of his workflow.

History:
Born in the bustling Castelia Lee was shown the darker underbelly of Unova's shining city at a young age. Thugs, Thieves, and Scam Artists were all people Lee grew up around in the dark alleyways of Castelia. His parents weren't great people either, both were affiliated with Team Plasma before and now they lived their lives as broken as those fanatics. Still growing up Lee hated his circumstances, having to fend for himself while his family tried to relive their past glories (if you could call it that). During his teenage years, Lee finally got a break when a member of the International Police came to investigate a local group of thugs in Castelia, Lee was more than happy to help the officer which would eventually get him on the radar to become a cadet. Shortly after Lee took up the offer and after a few years of training he graduated as an officer at the age of 20, his first mission was to investigate the rumors of an evil team in the Santoris region. There wasn't much information on the team yet and the IPO wanted to keep tabs on them, just in case they tried to pull anything.

History:
Being born on Delphia Island was something close to a dream! She was raised in one of the most beautiful places on Earth with a loving mother and father and for a while, life was perfect. Her father, Calvin, was an entertainment agent and not a Santoris native like her mother, in fact he’d moved there to be with her after she found out she was pregnant. It was all fine though, until Aria’s father found Gage Dawson. She was a rising star in the music business and Calvin saw her talent immediately. Well, her talent and a hotter and younger woman. Soon enough he was off to Kanto to help Gage’s dreams come true, and not long after that is when Aria’s parents were divorced. Suddenly, everything had changed. Still, Aria was a happy enough child, even when her mother began working more and she didn’t get to see her. Instead, she’d go to the Celebi gardens where she’d made friends with some of the pokemon that had made their homes there. From hide and seek to private concerts, Aria was more than happy with the family she’d created for herself.

On her fourteenth birthday Aria met a small Shaymin in her mother's shop. Usually, Pokemon were forbidden from Lana's shop, but somehow the grass type had gotten in. Aria nearly had a heart attack when she found it in one of the bouquets, and quickly hid it away until she was able to escape the flower shop. Aria took the pokemon back to Celebi’s garden and played with the other pokemon for a while longer. After all, she was past the point of being able to start her journey as a trainer if she wanted, but she was still unsure. Shaymin began appearing more and more as weeks went on, but it wasn’t until one of Aria’s performances that it really made itself known. It was a rather impressive note for a teenager to be singing, let alone a small pokemon, but Shaymin hit it nearly as well as Aria. It wasn’t allowed for pokemon to be caught from the gardens, but… letting Shaymin stay with her of its own choice wasn’t against the rules.

At sixteen, Aria's path took an unexpected turn. Her father appeared back on Delphia, heartbroken after Gage’s cheating scandal and fall from the music industry. He was so very obviously depressed, and while she knew she should, Aria didn’t hate her father by any means. In fact, she desperately sought out his approval. So as he complained about never finding a star as bright as Gage, Aria offered herself and auditioned for him and suddenly her life was red carpet events and sold out concerts. Of course, Calvin paid off the leader of Delphia so that Aria could catch Shaymin as her own and take the pokemon with her. But even with the small being, she was lonely. Everything happened so fast, she was coached on how to be likeable, but also how not to get taken advantage of: Don't speak unless spoken to. There should always be a smile on your face. Never say no. It was overwhelming to say the least.

All of this before she even turned eighteen. Now, at twenty, Aria only has Shaymin as her mother has passed. Her father is still her manager, but she rarely sees him, phone calls are more his thing. Her next performance is back home in Santoris as the headlining act of the music festival, but her passion for music has severely begun to lack. Any songs she writes aren't recorded, it's like she's a robot doing what everyone else wants for her all the time. She's drained to say the least. She's hoping that being home will reignite her love for music and performing, but when she finds out she's a part of Team Eclipse's plan, what will she do?

Character:

Sam is a generally nice person, however she tends to keep to herseslf, as well as keeping the secret as to how she had obtained an Absol as her partner. She's not afraid to speak her mind if provoked, though she tries her hardest to keep herself on the down low.

History:

She was born in the Kanto region, to Emily and Joseph Jones, two well known pokemon trainers. As a young child, her parents ended up losing their lives in a terrible fight. The only remaining thing of her past was her Absol, Snow. Her partner had saved her, taking her to safety, keeping her out of harms way, watching the fight from the farthest she could go. Despite losing her parents at a young age, she tried her best to act normally, never letting the fact that her parents had been murdered in a death match situation.

As the years passed, her team grew, leading up to her finding her next pokemon, and Eevee who felt the need to follow her everywhere she went. She ended up taming the pokemon, though not without hesitation. Her past had already been laced in the death of so many pokemon, and she didn't wish any others to be killed if the same people that had killed her family came after her. She found herself in a new region to once again start anew, and she hoped, with all the power she possesses, that pain and distruction wouldn't follow her, but it always did, didn't it?

Character: Vince is an easygoing guy with a passion for his work. He'll talk your ear off about it if you let him. But when it comes to buckling down and actually doing the boring stuff, he can be a bit childish, trying to find ways out of it. He much prefers getting his information from the source rather than reading about it in a book. Aside from that, he has a genuinely caring demeanor; making sure others are taken care of before himself, which is especially true with his pokemon. Though this, along with a happy-go-lucky nature, leads to naivete. Vince tries to avoid conflict and drama as much as possible, so when it's inevitable, he'll try to defuse the situation with words before any violence. But if the chips are down and there's no other options, he'll fight for what he believes is right.




History: Vince is a budding historian specializing in myths, legends, and lore. His interest in the mythologies of the world sparked from none other than Dragonspiral Tower, where it's said that Legendary Pokemon are created and slumber. Growing up, Vince had what most would call a pretty good life; plenty of friends and plenty of things to do. Though he constantly got into fights with his older sister Liliana, as most siblings do, he still cherishes those moments with his family to this day. As he grew older he wanted to further pursue his interests as a mythologist and decided to go on a journey across Unova to understand more about it. Traveling across the various cities and landscapes of Unova, he gained some new allies in his pokemon. Though he doesn't consider himself a trainer, having friends definitely livens things up. After about a year or so of researching the legends of Unova, he found the perfect opportunity to branch out into the other regions of the world, as an expedition team needed mythologists and folklorists to do research on the region of Santoris.

Reason(s) for Santoris Visit: Sent to do research on the mythos of Santoris for his job. That won't stop him from enjoying the festivities though.

  Personality: A motherly figure and leader of the team; Aura is the first to call out Vince on his childish nature. Her dagger-like stare can cut through anyone, but it's especially effective against Vince. She cares deeply for him and her other team members though, even if she doesn't always show it. In battle, she'll curse the enemy with a flick of her tail and then burn them to cinders with her flames.

  Personality: Trist is probably the most friendly out of the team members, and enjoys riding on top of peoples heads, whether he knows them or not. His natural curiosity of the world and people around him, are only matched by his swiftness. In battle, he'll slow the enemies with his webs and skirt around to their blind spot. Sometimes he tends to go a little too fast however, and trips himself up.

  Personality: The most gung-ho of the group; Anxo is the first to start a fight once something goes awry. He loves competition in all things, whether it be eating, fighting, racing, etc.. Trist and him have a sort of brotherly rival complex, where they always try to outdo each other. Vince considers Anxo the big brother who wins in everything except races. In terms of fighting ability, Anxo is usually the first in a battle, and deals damage with debilitating effects and tricky movements.

Character: A man afflicted by boundless wanderlust Levi is rarely found in the same place for more than a few days at a time and is just as comfortable being in the middle of nowhere as in the big city. While only too happy to be alone in the wilds he also enjoys sharing what he knows.

History: Growing up around the busy Driftveil port Levi watched ships arrive carrying people and Pokemon from all across the world fuelling a desire to travel and see those places for himself, once he was old enough he registered as an official trainer and set out on his journey.

While he followed the league challenge for some time and proved to be skilled at battling Pokemon Levi found himself more interested in the places he saw and how Pokemon adapted to live in them, eventually he stopped participating in the league altogether and studied to become a field researcher of Pokemon.

Character: Juno is a daunting person to try and get close to. Her aloof attitude goes hand-in-hand with a highly intimidating aura—meaning that as slowly and calmly as she talks, it always seems to carry a quiet vexation under it. Pair that with mysterious ulterior motives and you've got quite the unapproachable girl...but that actually has left Juno a little lonely. While she will always be focused on her own goals, the girl isn't as pragmatic as she seems. When she actually gets close to someone she gets quite attached to them (even if she has trouble expressing this) and is naturally attracted to more upbeat, peppy people as a result. But when she's conducting more official business...

...There is little Juno wouldn't do.

History: Juno is an aspiring student from Castelia City. Some could consider her childhood rough; growing up with just her father, who often times was too busy for her as CEO for a famous company. But Juno holds no disdain for her father. Juno holds their interactions close to her chest—choosing to find meaning in the times they could interact, instead of harboring anger for all the times they couldn't. Growing up, Juno often explored the vast city on her own...and with a band of her father's elite Pokemon, all the way back from when her father was a traveling trainer like any other. Seeing all of the different people, the different Pokemon...wondering where they came from, where they were going...it instilled a desire to the greater world in Juno. And so, having gotten out of a prestigious school, Juno has taken to exploring the world on the behalf of her father's company.

Reasons for Santoris Visit: Her father has taken her to Santoris on behalf of the company, who is a major patron behind many of the high-cost festivities offered to the people. In truth, Juno herself also just wants to see the festival. She still has to attend her her duties though, sadly...

Extra:
- Her height is 5'5. While not the tallest, most people forget the height difference when they experience her intimidating personality.
- Juno goes to arcades fairly often. First, it was just to beat the rigged claw games in search of more soft Pokeplushies to add to her collection. But as time passed, she soon became a regular face at Unova's arcades, becoming an ace at almost every game they had to offer.
- In spite of the previous fact, others from Castiela wouldn't actually be able to say they've ever seen her in the city...

  Personal Info: Jaxe could be a considered a reflection of Juno's inner fury. He carries a similar expression, if far more extreme: stoic and uncaring on the outside...yet incredibly furious on the inside. He lets it show in far more destructive ways as well, displaying it through his usage of his above-average psychic powers outside of battle. If he wasn't so obedient to Juno, he would've been declared a public menace. It's to the point where those who work for her father's company will often follow Jaxe's orders upon the threat of him opening his ears. Luckily though, he does care about the team and does his best as Juno's appointed leader. But he mostly just cares for Juno.

  Personal Info: A gift from her father that she's been ordered to train. Spades has a rough time getting to know people; skittish and easily prone to being scared, it would rather run and hide than fight. But Spades has a rough burden placed on him, expected to both become the only other fighting Pokemon in her team, and to become a useful member of her team on the behalf of her father's company. Luckily...Spades has enough of a backbone to actually get over his fear. He sees Juno as a motherly figure, and feels more happiness from her rare smile than any other Pokemon. On that note, it works endlessly for those smiles.

Character: El is a cheerful and very naïve woman. Because she has only really ever known her hometown in Sinnoh, she can only go off of what she has read in books and other media about different places. She has a passion for helping others and a deep curiosity about how the bonds between Pokemon and people work. Although most perceive her as a flighty and carefree individual, she is also driven in her studies and is smarter than she tends to let on. She cares deeply for people and Pokemon alike and tends to get attached to those who are kind to her fairly quickly. She's extremely loyal and has a tendency to defend those she's closest to, even if they may be in the wrong. She enjoys adventuring, even if there is no set destination. As long as the experience is fun, the end doesn't matter. El is a "go with the flow" type of gal and enjoys following people's lead as long as they're happy.

History:​

El was born in Veilstone, Sinnoh on December 14th. Since she was a child she had never met her biological mother and instead grew up with her father, step father and adopted sister, Maude. Although she had never met her mom, El knows tons about her and still often dreams of one day meeting her. That's not to say she didn't love her little family of course. Her and Maude were very close, and El considers her sister her best friend. Before her and her father had met her step father Taka and her sister Maude, El had always looked up to her father because of his emotional strength. He had been a lonely and sad man, but managed to keep strong for little Elowen. On her twelfth birthday he had helped her catch her very first Pokemon, Buizel. That was a day she would never forget. His eyes had lit up with happiness and pride at Buizel's and his daughter's bond. El had always thought it was because of her getting her first Pokemon, and to an extent that was true. It was the day she had caught her father a Drifloon that she realized he had just needed a friend, however. After seeing her father recover a bit and eventually start a little family of his own, she realized the bond between Pokemon and people was more important than she or possibly anyone else realized.

All throughout high school El had never forgotten how Drifloon had changed her father for the better. This curiosity and wonder eventually lead her to become a psychology major. Just how important were these bonds, and what exactly could it be beneficial for? El worked hard to finding the answer which landed her a spot to study abroad in the Santoris region. She was to meet with professor Cypress and delve into Pokemon's psyche to see if the benefits of working with people were the same for them as well. Now El has a mission of her own. Getting an internship with the one and only Professor Cypress!

Despite annoying others with this bad habit, she enjoys making friends and tends to get nervous when she isn't around people. She's talkative and flighty and dreams of competing in a championship tournament of her own. El easily gets upset if she believes someone is upset with her and tends to start showering them with compliments and gifts (When she has the time) to get on their good side. She is very much an open book and isn't afraid to talk about her past. Buizel is a good moral support, but she still tends to get discouraged quickly and often frets over little things.

History:​

Through adolescence her father was a work-worn and depressed man. Although he did his best to stay positive for his daughter, there were times she caught him crying alone in his room. It wasn't until a few years later (Around the time she was 11) that he met Taka, a Japanese man who had recently moved to Sinnoh. They quickly grew close and eventually adopted Maude into the family. Elowen had only ever known Sinnoh and those around her hometown, so it was only natural that her and Maude should grow so close.

During her high school years El became interested in the field of psychology and soon after began going to school for it. As she grew up she began to truly understand what her father had been going through all those years ago (Despite what he had explained before) and wanted to help people like that. El managed to get a school scholarship to study abroad and she eagerly accepted, excited not only to see the world outside of her comfy hometown, but also to see and meet different people and Pokemon. A few months before heading to the Santoris reagion she caught her first ever Pokemon, Buizel. The pair quickly became close and, sharing an interest in helping others, finally set off to begin studying in Santoris.

Love the idea! Just try to incorporate more Pokémon into it if that makes sense?¿. Rn it seems like a regular character with Buizel thrown in as an afterthought, so if you could make it more about El as maybe a trainer who’s interested in psych or a student intern maybe who’s researching something to do with Pokémon rather, that might work better? Of course those are just ideas, i just notice there’s a lot of psychoanalyzing and depression in your character’s history and it worries me that psychoanalyzing others’ characters could potentially be harmful.

When defending ideals he cares about, or especially in battle, Arden more outspoken side can come out. While not necessarily hotheaded, he has wanted to be a strong trainer ever since a child, and can sometimes let those dreams cloud his better judgement. He still tries to measure his options and take the best path, but when really worked up he can make foolish mistakes. Arden is generally a very passive person, but the one thing he can't stand is losing. He feels he owes a lot to his Pokemon, and seeing them defeated can upset him. In order to prevent losses, Arden has trained exhaustively with them. This combined with his determination have helped him develop a strong will to win and grow. While he is more of a solitary person, Arden still tries to be friendly with those around him, often trying to help if he can.

History: Arden was born to young parents. His father, who worked as a trainer at the local gym, married his mother, who worked at a cafe. The three of them lived a quiet life above the cafe, where Arden helped his parents work while balancing his newly started schoolwork. Between having busy parents and not being able to afford the latest in entertainment, Arden would fill his time by studying, and occasionally, spectating the occasional gym battles. Arden loved watching his father battle, but it was disheartening to see him lose so often. His father, however, did not seem to mind, and instead enjoyed seeing all the trainers from across Galar.
