Ryker | Drake

Age: 22
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Trainer Type: Colosseum Master
Starter Pokemon: Larviatar
Hometown: Pyrite Town, Orre

Character Trivia:
-Intense is the best way to describe him like. He usually comes off as impatient and aloof and he’s pretty intimidating to the average person.
-Highly perceptive, almost nothing gets past him. Even small, minute details others would overlook. Nah, not him, he notices. Can often tell when people are lying to him, too.
-A strategic thinker and also intelligent, which is probably what makes him good at battles.
-Cares deeply for his community and friends.
-Someone you can count on to be calm and ready in a crisis. He’s a great leader overall and not too shabby at public speaking, either.
-Good at compromises, which is how he keeps the peace between the average citizens and the criminals.
-He’s the colosseum master in Pyrite Town, and is highly respected for his strength and wisdom even outside in other parts of the region.
-Don’t get on his bad side, but watch out; he's tempermental.
-Was formerly a member of Team Snagem as a teenager after falling in with a rougher crowd. He poached Pokémon for a while, but left when he realized how wrong it was.
-Actually really wants to leave Orre and travel to a region with a proper league to challenge. But, he feels like he can’t go since so many people in Pyrite Town are counting on him.
-The pressure’s honestly too much sometimes but he just keeps everything bottled up and to himself.
-Actually really loves the desert.
-Hates tourists and visitors from other regions. It just irks him so much how they come in out of nowhere, especially if they act like they’re experts on Orre or something. Hates when they show up at his colosseum like they have some right to compete. Tourists are a no from him.
-He lives with his grandmother, a respected fortune teller, who raised him. He’s never met either of his parents and couldn’t honestly care less.
-The Pokemon he raises are one that are good with sand and deserts since he likes that environment so much. Unlike a lot of trainers, he prefers scales to floof.
History: Ryker grew up in Pyrite Town, raised by his grandmother. He was very poor when he was young, and sometimes they couldn't even afford food. They lived off a lot of charity, because Ryker's grandmother is very popular in the city. As a young teen, Ryker fell in with some rough characters, and even eventually ended up with Team Snagem. He spent a year or two stealing and selling Pokemon to make money to take care of himself and his grandmother, but eventually came to the conclusion that what he was doing wasn’t right. By that point he realized he had some talent with Pokemon battles, so he saved up some money to ante up a colosseum entry fee in Pyrite. Surprisingly, he won the grand prize for the first tournament he ever entered. Realizing he could make money like this, Ryker left Snagem quietly, and not necessarily on bad terms. He spent the next couple of years battling through multiple colosseums, and was even invited to compete in Phenac City, where he won. He has numerous colosseum awards, and eventually defeated Pyrite Town's previous master, meaning that now Ryker gets to lord over the colosseum. He's also competed at the Orre Castle and won his share of battles. As such, he's highly respected among the masters and across the whole region. Present day, he spends his time trying to bring in money to Pyrite Town while also running the colosseum. He's also about to have to do damage control what with the whole PR disaster in the Orre region.
Reason for Coming to Orre: Ryker lives in the region, and plans to investigate what’s going on.

Pokemon Team:
Mega Tyranitar
Name: Drax
Gender: Male
Ability: Unnerve
Nature: Adamant
Moveset: Dragon Dance, Stone Edge, Ice Punch, Fire Punch
Personality: Angry, angry, angry. You know how some people say dogs will imitate the personalities of their owners? You'd be hard pressed to find a trainer and pokemon as similar as Ryker and Drax are. Sharpened by life in a harsh region and hardened by battle, Drax is what the popular media pictures in a Tyranitar; powerful, aggressive, and devastating. Most people have the notion that the only thing keeping this apex predator in check is its trainer. Drax is 10000% loyal to Ryker, though this isn't the relationship between a master and pokemon by any means. Both take the term 'partner' very close to heart. Drax has full trust in his trainer's judgement, just as Ryker has full trust in his Tyranitar's. It's not unusual to see the Tyranitar 'disobey' a command from Ryker if it judges his call as the wrong move. And Ryker seems to have no issue with this, whatsoever. Just as calculated as his trainer with the power conferred upon the dominant pokemon in it's environment, Drax is not a 'mon you want to tangle with.

Keegan | Cross

Age: 22
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Trainer Type: You Average Kinda Good at Battles Thug Friend
Starter Pokemon: Cubone
Hometown: Pyrite Town, Orre

Character Trivia:
-The fun friend. He has a laidback personality and is humorous. Spends most of his time making bad puns and cheesy jokes.
-Probably wants to set fire to things.
-He’s comically afraid of all the things that he shouldn’t be and afraid of none of the things he should be.
-Seems dopey, but he grew up in Pyrite Town so you know he’s seen some stuff.
-Only has a few Pokemon and that suits him just fine.
-A decent battler. Not the weakest person around town but no where near as strong as some other people. Like, have you seen Ryker?
-Loves Ryker because Ryker buys him the good food.
-Will fight for his friends and will cut someone if you threaten them.
-Hangs out with some sketch, low-level thugs sometimes but never did anything too bad. Think Team Skull-level of villainy.
-Wants to solve a mystery until he actually realizes the kind of legwork it takes to solve a mystery.
-His dad is in jail and his mom dipped out with his little sister when he was a teenager so he’s an orphan, so sad.
-Always hungry
-Scared of Ghost types and Bug types and also Dark types depending on the Pokemon. He’s basically a Psychic type with none of the smarts.
-Everything is a joke until it stops being funny. His coping mechanism is not to take anything too seriously.
-Flirty, but if the girl expresses disinterest or discomfort, he backs off right away.
-Basically just a giant Stoutland in a human’s body.
History: “It's really not that interesting. Just the usual growing up poor, parents never around, joined a gang, made some friends. I mean, I saved money for a whole year to buy this Pokemon egg that they told me would hatch into a Charmander, so then I'd have a Charizard which would've been sick. Apparently the guy wasn't reputable though, because when the egg finally hatched, it was a Hoothoot. Fun times, fun times."
Reason for Coming to Orre: He’s local, but he wants to solve the mystery taking over the region now!

Pokemon Team:
Marowak
Name: Honey
Gender: Male
Ability: Battle Armor
Nature: Serious
Moveset: Swords Dance, Iron Defense, Bonemerang, Thunder Punch

Hoothoot
Name: Gylfie
Gender: Male
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Naïve
Moveset: Nasty Plot, Extrasensory, Shadow Ball, Magic Coat

Iono | Suzuki

Age:
18
Gender: Cis-Female
Sexuality: Bioromantic
Trainer Type: Pokemon Artist + Researcher
Partner Pokemon: Lucario
Hometown: Hometown: Lumiose City, Kalos
Height: 5'3"

Character Trivia:

Personality:
Iono has an optimistic personality and is quite reliable. Iono believes it is important to express one's own desires and beliefs out loud in hopes of making them a reality one day. She tends be playful/ambitious/slightly aggressive but pretty blunt in several ways. On top of all that, she can easily get riled up but assesses it with fake humor ending with threats. She'd become snappy and irrational to those who would confront her about her attitude, insulting them, only to feel guilty afterwards.

Appearance Desc. : With dyed bright, light blue and pink hair that is split at a chaotic angle, Iono favors the occasional high-neck, sleeveless crop-top that is covered at the edges by denim shorts. To cover all that, she wears a big, oversized, yellow jacket/sweater that often slides down one of her shoulder(s). Due to having albinism, her hair is originally white. But her irises do have a pink hue because she has no melatonin in her eyes - with blue as her original eye color.

"People see art as just paint. I see it as my life."

History:

Born with pure white hair, she was praised for her blessed hair despite the true meaning behind the color. She hated most of her childhood, and begged her parents to dye it early on so people would think her as normal. So she found herself as normal. Her guardians gave her pitied looks, hoping that Iono found a true way to convince herself that she is fine the way she is.

That was when Iono discovered art. Not only that, but the true beauty of Pokémon. A flurry of paint across her bedroom walls made her mother shriek, but Iono had her fun. Soon everything almost became her canvas, until she matured enough to use proper utensils. Using either her relative's pokemons or just those who walked by their trainers, she found a passion. A hobby.

Iono got her own Pokemon too, befriending it in a heartbeat at first glance. Eevee was a wonderful gift, and Iono even brought herself to wash her dye out. Once. That lasted for two weeks, dying it back again before she headed out to explore more regions. Now she discovered a new area for more exploration - Orre. Surely she built up a stack of Pokémon, so she figured peace could be found or made there.

Though not living with her family ever since her journeys began, she still keeps in touch with them. Sometimes she'd even go back in her hometown, a break and also helping around with chores/work from the café her mother works at.

Reason for Coming to Orre: For more inspiration on art, exploration.

"I owned every second that this world could give, I saw so many places, the things that I did!"

    Name: Iris van den Voss
    Age: 22
    Gender: Cis Female
    Sexuality: Demisxual
    Trainer Type: Travel Photographer/Writer/Coordinator
    Partner Pokémon: Eevee (Stella)
    Hometown: Avignon Town, Kalos
Why They Came to Orre: She's hoping that exposing Yucca to the harsh deserts of Orre will trigger her evolution into Eevee's ground-type variant. Also, pretty desert landscape pictures!

    ~

+"When it's dark look for stars! When it rains look for rainbows!"
+ Relentlessly positive, optimism might as well be her middle name. Doesn't matter if she fails once or twice or a million times, is willing to keep trying because she believes she can do it.
+ Always encouraging her friends to follow their dreams. The biggest hypeman in the group at any given time.
+ Loves going on adventures and meeting new people and seeing new places and interacting with Pokémon and just all of that. Get a "real job?" Never. Does it matter? Apparently being a ball of sunshine makes you a lot of friends and connections. So... no.
+ Loves people with Eevee. Gets super excited to see anyone with Eevee, hypes up all the Eevee.
+ She’s very well-traveled, since she’s a photographer who takes a lot of landscape photos. She’s knowledgeable of many environments and conditions because of trying to get the perfect shot in so many places! Been to just about every environment you could imagine.
+ Loves yummy food, and is a little spoiled since one of her closet friends is a professional chef.
+ She gets easily flustered when it comes to flirting or anything like that. She’s never had a boyfriend or even a first kiss and that stuff sounds fun and nice but also makes her feel so nervous too!
+ Artistically speaking, she's interested int he way light (or the absence of it) behaves. Practically speaking, most of what she takes pictures of are landscapes, friends, and fun Pokémon she sees.
+ Really likes fashion and also color theory, so she's always dressed super cutely. Not unusual to see her reading a fashion magazine if she's in a waiting room somewhere.
+ Sleeps with ALL of her Pokémon outside of their Pokéballs.
+ Loves her Pokémon, a significant portion of her day is taken up by grooming them/caring for them/training them. She has a lot of knowledge about Pokémon care in general (especially the Eevee line) and is always super happy to share the tips she knows with other people.
+ Cooks for her Pokémon, makes them delicious baked goods and treats. Got her food recipes from the aforementioned chef friend.
+ Knows Pokémon yoga?? And it's completely normal to see her running in the evenings with a line of Eevee and co. jogging after her.
+ She's been a trainer for twelve years now. Originally, she wanted to be a top coordinator, but eventually discovered her passion for photography and switched over. She still competes for fun sometimes, and to keep her Pokémon in tip-top shape.
+ Still fairly new to being a travel writer, at the urging of one of her friends. She writes articles for a travel magazine at the moment, but is currently working on a book about the Kalos region.
+ Loves watching competitive Pokémon matches and is surprisingly well up-to-date on the going-ons within that sphere.
+ Her long-term goal is to cram all eighteen types of eeveelutions into her house. Her short-term goal is gaining more experience as a travel writer.
+ This will be her first visit to the Orre region, and she's especially excited to be visiting somewhere new. Hopes that being mostly desert will be enough to get Yucca to evolve.

ESTELLA LOVELACE

a8ac0cd70a81a8579a477a819c6bedb9.jpg
AGE: 22 years old
GENDER: Cis-female
SEXUALITY: Somewhere on the ace spectrum (most likely demi)
TRAINER TYPE: Idol
PARTNER POKEMON: Mimikyu

  • Nickname is “Dollie”. She was given to Estella when she was 5 years old. Her parents originally wanted to surprise her with a Pikachu after visiting the Alola region…but the Pokemon breeder made a mistake and gave them a Mimikyu egg instead.
HOMETOWN: Nimbasa City, Unova
CHARACTER TRIVIA:
At first glance, Estella appears to be angelic and sweet; she is always seen with an upbeat smile on her face whenever she performs on stage. Her loyal fans adore her cutesy mannerisms, innocence and hard work ethic. Underneath her sugary demeanor is a foul-mouthed and short tempered woman who manipulates others with her charms.

However, she wasn't always this way. As a young girl, Estella admired the various idols on her TV, and wished to become one alongside her beloved Pokemon. Once she was old enough, she left Unova to pursue her dreams in Hoenn. However, her bright-eyed and clumsy personality was soon crushed by the older, more experienced idols, harsh training and cruel managament. It didn't break her spirit completely as she learned to adapt to her new environment by portraying herself as a demure and obedient young lady. Clawing her way through the ranks, she managed to garner enough experience and popularity in Hoenn, so she returned to Unova where she became an instant hit. Her success lasted until a recent scandal occurred in which Dollie, sensing Estella's discomfort and irritation during an interaction with a pushy fan, attacked to protect her trainer. It instantly sparkled outrage and controversy throughout Unova. Her management tried to convince her to release Dollie, but Estella vehemently refused and left for Orre.

  • Adores makeup and skincare routines. Always has her nails done, and will snap if she breaks a nail.
  • After a trip to Sinnoh, she started decorating her Poke balls with various seals/stickers. Her favorite are the heart seals (especially the pink ones).
  • Trusts her Pokemon completely, and feels as though she can lower her guard around them (aka openly complain and swear about annoying people).
  • Despite being relatively popular in Unova and Hoenn, she's considered to be rather niche in other regions.
  • Has a love-hate relationship with Lisia. She finds her attitude annoying, yet she begrudgingly respects her skills as an idol and Pokemon coordinator.
  • Her most popular song is called "Mimic You".
  • Estella and Dollie have starred in numerous commercials in Unova since becoming famous in the idol industry.
REASON FOR COMING TO ORRE: To avoid the spotlight after her recent controversy and brainstorm ways to reconstruct her career.

Kira Akiya

IMG_3489.png

IMG_3490.png

Age:
18

Gender:
Female

Sexuality:
Hetero

Trainer Type:
Researcher & Miner - Seeking out mineral deposits to exploit

Rolycoly - Igg,
IMG_3482.jpeg
Her first Pokémon, Igg is an aggressive but fairly cowardly Rolycoly. His initial heat and bluster cooling quickly against most opposition, only overcoming his fear when his trainer ends up in dire circumstances.

Captured when Kira was around 12, she had a difficult time with him at first, finally cementing their relationship when Kira dug him out from a cave in and nursed him back to health.

He is intensely loyal and distrusting of others, barely tolerating his fellows on Kira’s team and forever jealous of attention given to others.

Hometown:
Oreburgh, Sinnoh

Character Trivia:
From a lineage of miners, seemingly always bad luck, usually coated in dust and smelling of iron, has a largish collection of uncut diamonds, terrified of being electrocuted, hard of hearing due to explosions and her work (refuses to admit it), very traditional and stuck in her ways.

History:
Born during great misfortune in Veilstone city as refugee due to the aftereffects of a serious earthquake, Kira and her family quickly moved back to Oreburgh to rebuild. Most of her early childhood was spent in and out of abandoned buildings and mines, exploring the damaged region and watching it redevelop. During this time, Kira apprenticed with her father, learned from her school, and often helped her mother and sister around the house when she wasn’t off clambering around ruins.

By her 15th year, Oreburgh and her family were prospering. Most of the damage repaired, the hustle and bustle of the mineral rich city started to become too much for her and she began to set her sights on the world beyond Sinnoh. Excelling in school in art, science and physical education, she studied geology, metallurgy and even apprenticed under a smith for a while (though it did not last long due to her impatience).

At age 17 she packed her things as wanderlust overtook her. A loving goodbye to her friends and family before starting a journey of exploration. Both of the world and of herself. Accompanied by her Rolycoly, Igg, the pair have been exploring and sending geologic reports back home as they search for mineral rich areas to exploit and for adventure in their lives.

Reason for Coming to Orre:
Both to survey and explore Orre and to test herself in a rougher land.

Other:
Mom and Dad still living in Oreburgh,
Leonid (Father), Takara (Mother), Aimi (Sister 12), Boris (Brother 5)

Igg - Rolycoly
See above

Felik - Noibat
IMG_3483.jpeg

Rescued from a somewhat ancient trap set in a deep tunnel, Felik is a friendly, energetic, good luck charm for Kira. Useful in mapping underground caverns, Felik is affectionate and while loyal to his savior, loves Kira’s sister more!

Malysh - Wimpod
IMG_3486.jpeg

Captured in a moment of panic while exploring an abandoned dredge, Malysh scared Kira at first, skittering around her camp. Throwing the pokeball at shadows, it turned out to be a hungry and surprisingly bold Wimpod. Friendly and protective, she’s always ready for a snack and has an exhaustive appetite.

Luch - Heatmor
IMG_3487.jpeg

A gift Pokémon, Luch is a slow, ponderous Heatmor with the attitude of a family guardian. Which she is, a gift from father, she was raised alongside Luch who has watched over Kira since birth. Powerful, slow to anger, and loving, Luch is a natural guardian for Kira on her adventure.

Louisa | Shaw

Age: 34
Gender: Intersex (accepts most of any pronoun, leans towards she/they)
Sexuality: Asexual Biromantic
Trainer Type: Movie Star (similar to Coordinator, but more associated with Pokestar Studios) + Former Gym Battler
Partner Pokemon: Snapmaw the Feraligator, her starter in Johto. However, Louisa is surprisingly adept with all of the pokemon in their care.
Hometown: Born in Goldenrod City, currently resides in Virbank City

Character Trivia:
~ Louisa is a rather observant and reserved fellow, willing to listen to others and keep their mouth shut to not cause trouble. What looks like indifference and a calm, aloof nature is usually thrown out the window once the actor starts talking; she speaks rather methodically, almost carefully, and she is very in-tune with emotions in a group. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind and is willing to help and be friendly and amicable to most of anyone who doesn’t present themselves as a threat.
~ The trainer tries to keep their emotions under a major check, which results in bottling and an explosive meltdown if not properly vented, not to mention that in reality, she’s actually rather skittish when off the stage, can be hyper aware of their emotions and people perceiving them, and prefers not to be associated with her roles. Most don’t realize it’s her in the first place, anyways- it’s like a Tony Hawk situation. All in all, Louisa tries not to present herself as a threat so people can be comfortable just chilling around the actor without feeling too pressured or scared.
  • Her father’s name is Silvester Shaw, and her mother’s name is Amelia Hawkthorne Shaw. Her father has a Krookodile named Banksy.
  • Shares food a lot, because she doesn’t eat much. Never really had a big appetite.
  • Ms. Shaw’s humming has been seen to help their Pokémon team members fall asleep rather quickly, and it helps some non-team members too. A human lullaby music box, I guess (/j).
  • When cornered and/or pressured, Louisa can raise their voice and become a commanding force with just tone alone. However, it makes the actor feel awful because it feeds into them thinking that she’ll become just like her mother.
  • On their dominant hand is a ring with an embedded Mega Stone. The stone is a catch-all and can "synchronize" with other Mega Stones in their possession (i.e., Minsk's Scizorite).
  • Refused to share a statement on the Estella Mimikyu controversy and put her foot down when Pokestar Studios tried to pressure her into shaming the idol for her Pokémon’s behavior. The actor’s ultimatum made the studio pull back on its statement regarding the situation. Louisa doesn’t blame Dollie regardless of what happened, because it was a Pokémon protecting its trainer from a perceived threat.

TLDR; Louisa was born as a girl in Goldenrod City, and her mom was a controlling abuser while dad tried to (unsuccessfully) fix things. She left to take on the Pokémon League at 15 years old, and once they left her dad conceding that things were unfixable and opted the divorce route instead. Once Louisa was at the Elite Four, her dad offered them to stay with him in Unova. Louisa won the Pokémon League and is registered in the Johto Hall of Fame but gave the champion title back to Lance because she was moving to Unova. They settle into Unova, and a few years go by with the trainer being taken to wherever dad works. At nineteen, they develop a bad case of endometriosis and surgically remove the tissue, but it messes up their reproductive chances and she becomes intersex after some thinking. Her father's relative invites the trainer to Pokestar Studios after they recover, where one of the two developers of the studio hire Louisa as a contractual obligation. After months of small parts, she finally gets their big break as an antagonist in a niche film and rises into stardom from it.
Louisa was born a girl, and having lived in the bustling Goldenrod City, she saw a lot of things during her childhood- some good, and some bad, but most of everything was the Goldenrod city life. Her parents made a modest living working at the Goldenrod Department Store, but for as long as Louisa could remember her parents couldn’t get along. Constant arguments and fights would erupt at small accidental provocations, and the child was caught in the crossfires more often than not- mainly at their mother’s will. Arceus knows what the father saw in his wife; maybe he thought he could repair what she was damaging, or he was too stubborn to leave.

Her mother’s controlling attitude didn’t stop there; as Louisa grew up, her appetite was put under scrutiny and her outfits were constantly worn “to mother’s taste”. Having to constantly hide the stuff they liked from their mother to keep her from snapping and stealing their stuff, the child finally had enough and- with her father’s help, as he finally conceded that his wife would never be who she was before- the child of the Shaw family was sent to Professor Elm’s lab to receive her first Pokémon and set out on a journey to take on the Pokémon league at 15 years of age.

To get stories clear, Louisa wasn’t the trainer who took down Team Rocket- no, that was a kid a couple years prior who settled the region’s woes, became Johto’s pokemon champion, and traveled to Kanto before disappearing as Red did. Nevertheless, Louisa started to travel the region, picking up Pokémon, defeating gym leaders, and even confronting their mom when back in Goldenrod City. Unfortunately, she was still stuck in her ways despite her own child trying to help, so Louisa painfully moved on, as her father did the same and moved back to his home region of Unova to get a divorce. Gym by gym, team member by team member, and Louisa soon had gotten all eight gym badges- and then, news of her father inviting the child to live with him in Unova as part of his custody agreement, right after the trainer gained access to the Johto Elite Four.

It took a bit for Louisa to think it over, but soon they had their answer in hand as they challenged the five best trainers in Johto. It was a close fight for the Championship title, but it edged out in Louisa’s favor, and she won- only to write her name and team in the Hall of Fame before handing the title back to Lance, because she broke the news of her departure of Johto to them. She would still keep the congratulatory metal given to every trainer who could beat the regional Champion, but she was a champion in name only. Saying some final goodbyes to Professor Elm and having him connect the trainer to the Unova’s Pokémon professor, Louisa boarded the train in Goldenrod and began her long trip to Unova.

Jumping regions and having layovers was a bit boring, but eventually Louisa found her way into the Unova region- the first stop being Mistralton City’s airport. The trainer’s father picked her up there and took her back to Castelia City where his apartment was, and she spent some years there getting acclimated to the environment and people. Her father’s business involved him having to travel across the region to oversee construction and maintenance of various crews, and oftentimes he brought along Louisa after she acclimated to Unova so she could see and compare the two regions she was familiar with.

When they were turning nineteen, though, Louisa started to feel excruciating pain during her cycles, among constant nausea and other symptoms. However, these painful episodes would go away once her cycle was done, so she didn’t really feel the need to talk with her father about the issue and continued on as usual. Unfortunately, on a trip through Driftveil City, the pain became unbearable, and combined with the nausea, means that she never ate, and consequently passed out on him. Mr. Shaw was so worked up and worried that he immediately took them to a clinic, and tests were inconclusive; their father took PTO and personally went back to Castelia to get her into a specialist to see what was going on, and doctors finally confirmed what the issue was: endometriosis.

It was caught early, but the amount of pain that Louisa was in from an early detection meant that she would be put under to remove the offending tissue. And while the surgery was successful, with how aggressive the tissue was it wasn’t likely she would have children- the news broke Louisa’s heart a little, but it caused the trainer to do some thinking on who they were, and slowly transitioned into a person that they could be happier with. To help with the cycles, she got put on anti-pregnancy medication, and while her father went back into work, a sibling of his from the family came to visit one day when she was recovering.

His name was Ricky, and he was a small-time coordinator in Sinnoh who had connections with other coordinators and performers in Unova. While Unova didn’t have a proper contest hall, the Musical Theater and Pokéstar Studios were avid and applicable alternatives, and Louisa was given the opportunity to join him in one of his annual appearances to join with other coordinators in a get-together reunion party. Needing some excitement and a new opportunity after their surgery, the trainer agreed, and joined him to eventually be introduced to Mr. Gold, one of the co-runners of the studio. Mr. Gold saw an opportunity and potential in this former champion, so he hired them as a potential actor on contractual obligations.

The following months were mostly quiet, just doing the odd job here and there and having small parts or background roles in a few movies. Louisa’s big breakthrough came in the form of a psychological horror film called Chromelake, where she played the antagonist of the film named Harriet, a human-Pokémon hybrid. One of the more famous scenes of the film is of Harriet thumping her chest in a sequence that more resembles a mind-bending hallucination and of a mixed nightmare, which was choreographed and shot rather well; another somewhat famous scene is of Harriet rising up from what looks like a blood lake, and that imagery became the box office poster. Since that debut, Louisa has been shot up into stardom due to the niche popularity of such a film and has gained more prominent roles- most roles being of the villain or of a mentor-like figure to the protagonist.

After the last streak of films, Mr. Deeoh- the other co-runner of Pokestar Studios- encouraged Louisa to take a break from acting, as the current schedule has made the actress look more haggard than usual from the constant acting and press conferences. With some advice from talking with their father, he said that a friend of his was currently in Orre on contract for work in Phenac City, and that she should go there for a break to explore the city and surrounding region. He did warn Louisa of potential conflicts and trouble, and to bring some of her old Johto team to keep her safe, but they assured the old man and assuaged him of his fears with a promise: she’ll bring him back a souvenir from Orre, courtesy of his friend in the region.
Reason for Coming to Orre: To take a break from acting due to stress, and to bring back a souvenir for their father.

Pokemon Team:
I plan on having Shaw acquire a shiny Shadow Galvantula after some evil team shenanigans and our guys rescue the electric tarantula. It’ll take some time for trust to be built, but the Galvantula will become a part of Louisa’s team.

Name: Minsk
Gender: Female
Ability: Technician
Nature: Formerly a Scyther that Louisa caught in Johto after Missus the Heracross carved through National Park to try and flip the Pokémon during a Bug-Catching Contest; Louisa won that competition as Minsk was the best bug type in it. Stoic and protective of her trainer to a fault, the Scizor can almost be likened to a knight with how watchful the pokemon is over Louisa and how cautious she is with other trainers. Minsk, when not guarding her trainer, is especially curious of other bug-type Pokémon and will sometimes nip their wings or scruff like a cat in order to show affection. Will get the job done, straight and to the point.
Moveset:
  • Bullet Punch
  • Iron Defense
  • Bug Bite
  • Rain Dance
Other: Wears a sash with an embedded Scizorite, courtesy of a former director who worked on Louisa’s debut movie. Also has a sparkling effect when coming out of her Pokeball due to being a star Pokémon at the studio.

Name: Billy
Gender: Male
Ability: Super Luck
Nature: Billy was a haughty Murkrow when Louisa visited Ecruteak City, and what interested the bird most was if there was any food to be had. After an unsuccessful snatch and grab, Billy was caught, and humbled greatly for being tricked by a trainer. The Honchkrow isn’t much different from his younger self- all haughty and fluff, with an attitude that needs humbling every so often, which Karnak is all too willing to do. Highly motivated by food, you can get him to do most tricks by holding a poffin in front of his beak. At least Billy knows when to pick his fights nowadays.

Name: Fives
Gender: Unknown/Genderless
Ability: Iron Fist
Nature: A gentle giant… if they could fully evolve. Given as a gift Pokémon from a fellow actor, Fives isn’t known to be talkative, or expressive much. However, what the automaton lacks in spirit is more than made up for in willingness to help tasks no matter how small and is a reliable light in the dark of the night. If they were fluffier, maybe Fives would be a good teddy bear- most don’t realize the automaton is near unless they make their presence known. The newest of the team, but the most interesting.

Name: Karnak
Gender: Female
Ability: Mold Breaker
Nature: A highly aggressive Druddigon, Karnak would charge and snap at most of the people who would try to use her as a rental for movies. The same song and dance was used against Louisa, but instead of running, the trainer-turned-actor was patient with the dragon type and eventually, though reluctantly, she was given into their care. Very defensive and not easily trusting, she would rather attack first than ask questions later- a habit that has gotten the dragon type way more scars than she should feasibly have. Despite the high aggression, Karnak is surprisingly gentle and sweet with Louisa and her other team members, and willingly shares extra portions of food if she’s feeling generous.
Moveset:
  • Dragon Claw
  • Hone Claws
  • Iron Tail
  • Rock Tomb
Other: Has a multitude of faded scars on the Druddigon's back and arms from her time before being a rental for movies. Arceus only knows what Karnak was forced to do before she was in Pokestar Studio's care.

trivia
With all frivolities and jests, one will often find a rueful smile perched on his lips. His presence has a disarming quality that ushers those in proximity to let their guard down. Tell him more, let him in, spill out even the most inane details from your mind. And he is one to always listen, with an attentive brow and a hand that beckons you to “go on.” He is a friendly face in a trying time, a heedful ear to a mournful voice–or at least that is the story that he will choose to pen to paper. In truth, he rarely cares for the people he interviews, beyond the story they have to tell.
Truth has a way of bending before breaking, and Vegas is one to test those boundaries with a firm pen. His gaze is an unerring lance that discerns truth from fiction with ease–but what is the value of “truth,” when a cleverly placed lie is what the people want? What he wants above all else, is to take a story, twist it, and mold it–into something that will have the reader’s hand gripped around the parchment with their blood smoldering with adrenaline. He enjoys the power he holds in the written word, in fabricating the world that his audience lives in.
Fear is a powerful motivator. Once it sinks its claws in, it’s a hard devil to shake. Vegas picked up on that fact early, to the point that it shaped his entire career. Who cares about some puff piece about some Pokemon adoption clinic when there is the umpteenth criminal organization lurking in your city? It’s his specialty–the subject he values in his reports above all else. Wherever crime might exist; Vegas is hot at its back.
backstory
Living in a port city lent him a unique childhood compared to many other children. From his conception, he was exposed to a unique basket of individuals, stories, and experiences. Travelers came from all around to world to have their dealings in Sunyshore, but very few had chosen to plant their roots here. But once you did, it would be hard to convince you to leave. Vegas’ mother fell under the city’s spell after separating from her partner, with the ocean sea at her back and the warm embrace of the sun overhead, it took no convincing for her to start a new life here. For Vegas, it was the only home he had known.
Where other children formed connections easily, it was a matter that brought a young Vegas a great deal of heartbreak. The boy was not one to create friendships easily, and for all intents and purposes, his mind was a blank slate. Very few experiences were capable of causing ripples in the serene pool that was his brain. He spent much of his childhood as merely an observer from the outside. Nothing seemed to stir his spirit like the other children. In his time spent observing, he began to pick up on the way that children captivated each other with obviously fictitious tales. He took an interest in how children convinced each other they were the descendants of some powerful trainer, or how they captured a legendary Pokemon that they could not show their peers for one reason or the other.
They always listened to these stories with an eagerness in their eyes that was absent from his own.
The shores of Sunyshore are where he did much of his thinking. Feet hovering against the sand, with the sun kissing the horizon. He felt at peace there, unthinking, unconcerned by the memory of his failure to connect with others.
He thinks fondly of a day when rain erupted from the skies above, and when their typical somber shores were stirred by the fury of the sea. A curse for the sailors, but a blessing for him. He did not let the presence of a storm break him from his routine, it spurred him onwards. It was when the shores were at the loneliest that he came across a small, blue shape. Its scales were marred with brine, fin broken by the churning of the sea. It was weak, injured, and by some miracle survived long enough to let the sea carry him to a young Vegas. The boy was quick to help the pitiful creature. He took it into his arms and sprinted on a body that was a weak scaffolding of bone and elbow.
The first thing the little Gible did upon waking, was sink its teeth into his forearm. 20-odd-numbered stitches is what it took to piece Vegas’ arm back together. A tumultuous relationship at first, but the two eventually took to each other quickly. The young Gible was thrust from his nest for being too feckless. They were partners, friends, spirits broken from the same vine.
At first, he was honest about the story he told his friends at school when they asked him how he came to know the small Pokemon. But when he saw how easily he captured their attention–he could not help but push the tale a little further. He added a few details, perhaps stretching the strength of the storm that enwrapped them beyond the truth. Eventually, the story got so distorted, that he told a lie that he rescued the Gible from between the jaws of a Gyrados.
The habit stuck with him as he grew older.
Now whetted by the years, Vegas travels the land in search of stories. He is a journalist, with a reputation that is beyond his experience. Local governments fear him planting feet in their cities, knowing the chaos that will be stirred by his writing … by the merging of truth and untruths. He fancies himself a fearsome wordsmith, one whose name should be spoken with reverence and hate alike. Orre will be his next destination. His goal? Penning his truth, creating another story.

Choei | Tumoi

Age:
20
Gender: Trans-Female
Sexuality: Omnisexual
Trainer Type: Fashion Designer, Pokemon Performer
Partner Pokemon: Braixen in performing
Hometown: Fuchsia City, Kanto

Character Trivia:

Personality:
Choei has a quiet yet polite demeanor when dealing with customers that are tolerable, yet has a hint of coldness to most of her entirely. It's not that she was born rude, just not used to socializing though having a small business. She doesn't find jokes funny-just doesn't see the true 'brightness' of it's meaning. Choei isn't empathetic either, but wouldn't bug someone if they were going through something that shouldn't be spoken of or made fun of.

"The Cutting Edge To Fashion..."

History:

Being born to a woman crazy in love with fashion and clothes, Choei had no father left. He had left near birth that she didn't get to really meet him or understand why he left. Her mother kept it a secret, not eve handing her a single photo to look at him. At that time, she also had another problem. What gender should she be? She struggled through being male, but Choei realized being female had so many more opportunities. Especially like performing.

When old enough to become a trainer and get Pokemon, Choei had a small passion for becoming a performer. The fashion business could be put aside, mostly coming in handy for shows that she'd show up in. That's why her main performing companions- Meowstic, Glaceon, and Braixen- know Choei best.

So 'working' a job and living a proper life, Choei had gotten many requests for outfits daily. She needed a break. And more inspiration for designs. Her late mother who had gave the business to her already early encouraged Choei to go out more like how she was younger, that would probably help get some styles running in her head. And so she followed her guardians wish-and landed in Orre intentionally.

Reason for Coming to Orre: To see what type of fashions this region has, for inspiration

Pokemon Arii.png

  • Arii | Mandrake
    Age: Fresh-off-the-grill 18
    Gender: "Lol no." (they/them)
Sexuality: So thoroughly not interested they have a hard time knowing when someone is interested in anyone

    Trainer Type: Rat Bastard
For all intents and purposes, it seems Arii lives alone—well, alone save for their Gliscor guardian that is. They're a rare sight in populated areas, preferring the thicker woods, but some researchers have taken to requesting their assistance, especially in the matter of behavior.

Partner Pokemon: Gliscor (nicknamed "Jet" for his unusual coloration)
Hometown: Arii is typically found in Agata forest usually between the lab and the port, where they have an encampment high in the trees.

History: Arii was born on the outskirts of Unova, in the less-densely-packed metropolitan area, before they and their family moved to Kanto. Arii never really took a liking to the whole "let's go out and fight everyone who even thought about Pokemon, so instead of going on a journey, they powered their way through as many grades as they could skip, and ended up in a pokemon school far too early for the typical timeline. They then proceeded to get around three semesters in before they inevitably got themself in trouble.

See, funny thing about all those Pokemon-modifying-breeding-whatever labs is that when one of them, say, mysteriously loses power, it tends to set a whole lot of random Pokemon loose. Did they lure that mareep into a charge on purpose? Of course not what are you a cop?

    Anyway.

Arii finds this whole "being hunted down by random organizations for the crime of breaking their funny little terrariums" exceedingly tedious, and, hey, sixteen isn't too late to start your Pokemon journey, right—yes, yes mother, of course they'll call—and where better to hide their maybe-maybe-not crimes than the p[lace where all the other crimes are. Did they tell their mother they were specifically going to Orre? Pffft no.

Reason for Coming to Orre: Being wanted for property damage on a property that already wasn't supposed to be there. and underage gambling.

    Skills:
    In order of magnitude

Pokemon knowledge. Though Arii has a good understanding of the booksmarts associated with Pokemon, most of all, they seem to have the uncanny ability to parse... something of what they're trying to communicate simply by body-language. They are an excellent mimic of Pokemon calls and postures, and though they make for a weird sight, few others could live mostly unprotected in the woods. The more domestic pokemon such as lilipup and ratata, they have much less luck with, however, when it comes to interacting safely with wild pokemon, Arii is probably the best of the best. One of their current life's missions is to try and find a way to roughly translate what Pokemon are saying and apply it to a wider sample size.
Card-counting/General cheating. Look. All they're saying is that you don't spend the formative years of your life in Unova without getting obsessed with trains or learning how to scam the shit out of people without them noticing. They will beat people's ass at Poker, uno, whatever. If you're playing a game, you'd better keep good track of their hands, 'cause they aren't one of those idiots that'd drop their whole stack of high cards because they weren't paying attention. This is their primary income unless you're the government, then it's their mother.
General stealth. As it turns out, people don't like it when your dice are loaded. Who figured? Arii would be dead a million times over if they hadn't had the skills to vanish into the forest and not be found for at least the next hour. As it was, that Ursaring would have put a hole in them if it weren't for Jet landing a guillotine.
Survival skills. Arii can survive perfectly fine on their own, thanks. They can track, and hunt, and always know when a fruit is just ripe, and seemingly have no interest in cooking whatsoever. More often than not, you see them but never hear them, and you only see them when they're about to try and beat the shit out of you with a spear they... borrowed from a smith and his volcano-thing.

Things they are so completely useless at you might as well crit fail them every time:
Convincing anyone of anything/general socializing. Body language goes a long way with Pokemon, and honestly if someone's figured out you're cheating, the best bet is to get the hell out of dodge. Which is all to say that Arii has not genuinely interacted with another human being in almost four years (look, starting a gambling ring in their pokemon school does not count). Their posture might not give them away, but by gods their mouth will. They can't keep a proper secret to save their life, and their chronic can't-shut-up disease destroys any semblance of mystery.
Physical constitution. Living in the woods is one thing. Exercise? That's another. Arii is built like a half-starved dewpider and couldn't lift a pidgeotto. They can walk for a long time, but are more of a short distance sprinter, and will cough, and heave, and collapse if anyone tries to make them run more than about ten feet. Their bones are brittle, they bruise easy, and they're probably deficient in most vitamins.
Psychologically? A mess. If one looked inside Arii's brain, they would find a ball of lint and a single note on the floor reading out of business. Despite their intelligence, it seems Arii's understanding of how things like their own brain works is next to nothing. They're quick to anger, quicker to scare, are chronically fickle to all but Jet, seemingly can't hold a conversation for more than five minutes without either getting scared off or being very mean, and generally postures as if they hate people even when they're asking for help.
Dangerously reckless, especially in a group. Arii is used to being on their own. Related, Arii doesn't have much of a fear of death. These two facts combine to make a completely unstable ball of possibility who only has one button and that button is violence. Trying to get information on the bad guys? Break in and steal all their stuff. What? Broken glass? What broken glass. Pshh that doesn't matter. Getting into a fight with a fire pokemon? Eaaaaasy it's fine. It's fine look. No I'm not burned what are you talking about.

    Character Trivia:
    • Arii really likes swimming and would have probably had a water type had it not been for Jet. In fact, Arii doesn't swim often anymore because Jet is afraid of water
    • Attachment issues? What attachment issues. Those attachment issues.
    • Is actually a pretty good fighter with their spear as it doesn't take much strength to wield
    • Yeah y'know that thing where trainers fight with Pokemon and usually nothing else? That matters not to Arii. More often than not, while Jet is fighting a trainer's pokemon, Arii will come up behind them and whack them.
    • They have a lot of scars just because of how stupid they are about their own health, but none on their face.

Name: Callum
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Sexuality: asexual-bisexual
Trainer Type: Investigator/spy[ works in a special branch of the international police]
Starter Pokémon: houndour
Hometown: Azalea Town, Johoto

Personality:
Callum isn’t the nicest person around. Rough around the edges and normally independent, he’s never been the friendliest, and his gruff nature is only fueled by his grief. Once completely indifferent to others, his life took a turn when he dedicated himself to bringing justice to those who need it most. Driven by his loss, Callumi now throws himself into his work, unable to sit still and haunted by sleepless nights.

Though once organized, his life has become very chaotic. Work consumes him, and he’s let go of the routines he once held, trading his previous orderliness. To his coworkers, Callum is abrasive and prickly, preferring to be alone and seeing others as obstacles to getting the job done. He keeps others at arm’s length and has no patience for teamwork, convinced that people only complicate things.

History:

Callum, the youngest of his three siblings, grew up as the family’s lone wolf. Even from an early age, he felt like he didn’t belong and often distanced himself from his family. Unwilling to conform to his parents' strict expectations, Takumi rebelled, spending less and less time at home. His rebellious nature soon led to conflict, and after repeated clashes, his parents finally kicked him out. Unfazed, Callum began running the streets, falling in with a rough crowd, dodging the police, and getting swept up in gang life with a new group of “friends.”

Callum’s behavior broke his grandparents’ hearts when they saw his face on the news. Despite his cold attitude toward them, they took him in, refusing to give up on him. Patiently, they tried to reach him, to understand his pain, but he rejected their love and help at every turn, too bitter and hardened to accept their kindness.

Soon after, Callum dropped out of trainer school, pulled even further down by the toxic influences around him. His path seemed set until he met a young woman working at a local coffee shop. She was warm, grounded, and kind, a sharp contrast to the life he was living. Drawn to her, Takumi found himself returning day after day. Gradually, her presence softened him, and he left behind the gang and the streets. In time, he proposed, and they married, building a life together filled with hope and love.

But Callum happiness was shattered when he came home one night to find his beloved wife murdered in their home. Her death devastated him and sparked a resolve to find her killer. Fueled by grief and a need for justice, he trained to become an investigator, throwing himself into the work with dedication. He quickly earned a reputation for his skill, yet his wife’s case remained unsolved, a haunting reminder of his unfinished business.

During an investigation that took him the kanto region, Takumi’s life took another unexpected turn. He met two children, a young boy and girl, and, feeling a strange kinship, he adopted them, determined to give them the stability he never had. But tragedy struck again as they prepared to return to johto: the children vanished without a trace before boarding the flight home. Now, with both grief and guilt driving him, Callum returned back home, vowing to uncover the mystery of his wife’s murder and to find the children who disappeared under his watch.

Albedo | Winterfree

Age:
21
Gender: Cis-Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Trainer Type: Pokemon Sounds Collector, Music Editor
Partner Pokemon: Hatterene
Hometown:
Hometown: Wyndon, Galar
Distinguishing Feature: Albedo often wears earrings, but sometimes it can vary into earrings attached to a lip chain.

Character Trivia:

Personality:
Albedo's personality combines intense curiosity with a striking, sometimes eerie calm. His mind is an intricate labyrinth, filled with an endless thirst for knowledge and a drive to understand and experiment. Driven by a constant need to unravel the world's mysteries, Albedo can become wholly absorbed in his work, almost to the point of obsession. He's meticulous, examining even the smallest details with a scientific eye, and views the world around him as an intricate puzzle waiting to be solved.

Although he seems detached from emotion, Albedo is remarkably self-aware. His insights often go beyond mere observation, understanding both his limits and the consequences of his actions. He prefers logic over impulsive behavior and rarely lets his emotions cloud his judgment, giving him an unshakable presence that others find both impressive and intimidating. This careful control, however, sometimes makes him appear distant, as if he's observing life from afar rather than truly living it.

In social interactions, Albedo is polite yet reserved. He tends to keep others at a distance, not out of arrogance but due to his introverted nature and the belief that too much distraction could hinder his focus. Those who seek his company often find themselves captivated by his vast knowledge, but they must work to gain his trust if they wish to see beyond his analytical exterior. For those who do, Albedo reveals a dry wit and subtle humor, balancing a touch of charm with his otherwise stoic demeanor.

Albedo’s moral compass is complex. He’s guided less by conventional ideas of good and bad and more by what he sees as the value of knowledge and discovery. This can make his actions unpredictable to others, as his curiosity sometimes pushes ethical boundaries, especially when he prioritizes understanding over consequence. Despite this, he doesn’t act with malice; his intentions are almost clinical, driven purely by an unyielding quest for truth.

Hidden beneath Albedo's intellectual exterior is a slight vulnerability, a whisper of uncertainty about his own nature and place in the world. While he rarely shares these thoughts, he occasionally reflects on his purpose and the impact of his actions. It’s a quiet reminder that, while his mind may be sharp and scientific, there’s a subtle human side that emerges, hinting at an inner depth that even he continues to explore.

"What kind of melody hums in your ears, fellow lad?"

History:

Born in Galar, Albedo had always been attracted to science and music. He had excelled in whatever school he could get into, and was fascinated by how many Pokemon there truly was. His father had a Rapidash, but not a Galar one. It was clear his father had traveled, ad Albedo planned on doing the same. The blonde had also made a small run in to a Galar Ponyta and managed to capture it-befriending it even to this day.

Music always thrummed in his ears, and Albedo spent most of his days in his room and writing. His parents had to convince him several times for him to go out, and when he eventually did, he met his ace Pokemon in a heartbeat. It was a long tale-something not so pleasant at first-a somewhat journey running into an angered Hatterene. Albedo even had to battle her, but he won over her heart and kept her as a companion.

Because of that, he decided he shouldn't just collect Pokemon for nothing. He figured that the sounds such creatures made were cool-and if it were possible for Pokemon to become extinct-he had to save their sounds at least. Yes, he was a tech kid, but really good at it. Reaching adult-hood, he gotten several recordings of all sorts of Pokemon from other regions.

But Orre opened up to him. And Albedo gave it a shot.

Acethekidd Acethekidd Interpol! This is awesome, I was wondering if we'd have any law enforcement making an appearance in this thread! Super interesting back story as well, Callum's had a hard life. Definitely accepted.

✦ A very chaotic and high energy man who does things because he can. When will he learn? If only we knew.
✦ Golden retriever 'we should hang out and hug 24/7' type of vibes.
✦ The guy your mom will trust and let you hang out late with. If only she saw him riding down a hill in a shopping cart right now...
✦ Your food is his food and his food is your food. He loves his friends and will share everything. A charger, snacks, a lung-
✦ EXTREMELY AFFECTIONATE. Needs it to live, even. Will look more and more miserable unless he gets one, might even collapse and lay there real pitiful like.
✦ Zavion grew up alright-ish. He was like a problem child for his mom since he often had trouble paying attention in class when it came to lessons that he didn't find interesting; which led to skipping class and not doing well in most subjects.
✦ His true attention sparked in pokemon based things. Once he graduated school he hopped on to be a ranger, deciding he really wanted to do that as opposed to the typical path of a trainer.
✦ Made a good name for himself as a ranger. He leaves to occasionally help out across regions, yet still visits home to see friends and family.
✦ Despite his usual personality, Zavion is surprisingly a good ranger. He thinks on his feet and can devise plans on the fly.
✦ Takes his job very seriously and always tries to ensure that no people or pokemon get hurt further.
✦ Basically a 'super chill but knows when to be serious' type of guy
✦ Has a good sum of money saved up from his jobs, some of which he donates organizations that protect pokemon.

WHY THEY CAME TO ORRE ` Lives here. The region being thrown into the spotlight has both affected him negatively and positively; as he's been able to raise funds relatively quickly for the sanctuary thanks to tourists, yet some of them don't know how to behave themselves. So he low-key wants this problem fixed so they can leave now that he's got their money.

☆ A rather quiet, seemingly stoic guy who doesn't really speak unless necessary.
☆ Probably thinking about how much he hates it here tbh. Has a somewhat grumpy and sarcastic mindset.
☆ "Look for the silver lining." "I would rather eat a rock."
☆ Despite being Mr.Grumypants he's surprisingly gentle with pokemon. Except some of his, they don't know what gentle means (entirely directed at Halo.)
☆ He can be nice though, even if he always has a deadpan expression like someone just told him a bad joke.
☆ Super judgmental though. Do NOT tell him you got back with your ex, he will rip you to shreds verbally.
☆ His great grandmother started a Sanctuary for pokemon who were abused or abandoned by trainers. Its a large portion of land not quite too close to any town, probably about a thirty or so minute ride via pokemon. It's not really open to the public, but they do have events or occasions in which people are allowed to visit. Mainly to socialize and let the pokemon there interact with people if they wish.
☆ There's a few rare pokemon here as well since their species are being protected and preserved.
☆ The place itself is one large general area with different manmade sections to adjust according to a pokemons needs.
☆Unfortunately people trying to steal isnt uncommon, so the sanctuary has pokemon guards and alarm systems. Pokemon Snagem is a constant threat (boo)
☆ Doesn't have any plans on leaving the region. It low-key kinda sucks in certain parts but it's also his home.

Cyno | Anari

Age:
21
Gender: Cis-Male
Sexuality: Pansexual
Trainer Type: Poet
Partner Pokemon: Leafeon
Hometown: Mauville City, Hoenn

Character Trivia:

Personality:
Cyno carries a calm and thoughtful demeanor, though it often appears as a serious, almost intimidating presence. His natural intensity is reflected in his gaze, which rarely softens, even when he's at ease. Others often mistake him as unapproachable due to this steady expression, yet his quiet observation only masks a naturally calm personality. Cyno prefers to absorb his surroundings, listen, and process before speaking, giving him a depth that others find mysterious and intriguing. When he does interact, he does so purposefully, valuing genuine communication over idle talk.

Though Cyno is reserved, he has a playful side, especially with humor. His jokes, however, tend to be dry, clever, and at times unexpectedly sharp, catching people off guard. Those who know him well appreciate his unique sense of humor, finding it a refreshing counter to his otherwise composed personality. Cyno enjoys subtle humor and prefers to deliver his jokes in a deadpan style, leaving others unsure whether he’s serious or teasing.

Despite his quiet approach, Cyno is quite skilled at drawing connections and assessing situations with clarity. He’s a problem solver who relies on logic and patience, a combination that serves him well in challenging situations. While he doesn’t actively seek leadership roles, his natural insight and calm make others look to him for guidance. Cyno has a solid moral compass, though he rarely expresses his beliefs outright; instead, he quietly upholds his principles, allowing his actions to speak.

Cyno is attentive to his appearance, always maintaining a composed and presentable look. He believes that presenting oneself well is a sign of respect, both to oneself and to those around him. His style is never flashy, but he has a knack for making subtle, refined choices that reflect his calm and balanced personality. This attention to his presentation isn’t born of vanity but rather a quiet dignity, a subtle way he expresses his self-respect and the respect he extends to others in his life.

"
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay.
"

History:

Always considered as a menacing person, Cyno comes to be a very natural sweet talker. He was pleasantly spoiled for nothing at birth, but even then didn't ask for many things he didn't need. He learned to rhyme well and create quotes that astonish those around him. For a second, people figured he'd be a author for a book, but he became a poet. A good one at that.

Capturing his ace Pokemon, Leafeon, brought him to finding more of an interest to Grass and Psychic Pokemon more than ever. The ones he keeps with him are mostly the ones he had for a while. Cyno thinks that having a hoard of Pokemon isn't that good, so he has let go of some of his companions despite the emotional attachment. He did it willingly, simply because sometimes the Pokemon itself and trainer understand when the have to go-and example was when his Alolan Vulpix signaled to Cyno that her life was better near the snows of other Ninetails.

Now, adventurous as he, Cyno is a common terrorist among Sinnoh over all regions but does go to other places. A new one opened up to him, and Cyno just had to pick the lock to that door. Hopefully some passerby can hand him some ideas of rhymes or poem excerpts he could live off of for the time being.
