Sanctuary

As soon as Mana saw him, she jumped back from the lieutenant and ran to Vincent, thankful that he didn't leave her. There's was no way the two of them could stand a chance against that monster the way they were now.

"I think I found it! " Vincent said to her frantically. "Let's go!" He turned around and bolted towards the machine, hoping that she would follow. If he is right and that is the machine, they're safe but, if it's not , they're won't be living to make another mistake like that one.

The lieutenant noticed her cease of attacks. He turned his head, noticing them run away, going deeper into the hold. Down the hold was a dead end so, he stopped his blade and sent to them back to him. They flowed above him as he walked slowly down the hall, knowing they had no escape.

Mana simply nodded and followed close behind. However, something seemed off once again. If they were indeed heading to the teleporter, then why wasn't the lieutenant in any hurry ? It just seemed odd.

Vincent made it back to giant device then, felt around looking for a button, lever, or door. He soon grasped a handle and turned it causing a door to slide open on the device.

The lieutenant heard the sound of a opening door and began to sprint. What the hell! How did they know about that....! He raised his hands then, flick them down which made the blades shoot out.

Vincent hopped into the machine where there appear to be a control panel with a map above it. " Come on! We have to hurry!" He yelled looking at the controls. Fuck, How the does this work!?

Mana hopped in as well just as a blade flew past her arm, cutting it somewhat deeply. The pain was sharp and caused her to tightly grab it. "Hurry. Don't just stand there, do something. Now," she said, urging him.

Vincent shut the door went back to the control panel. He then observed it for a seconds. Uuhh.. Fuck! What to do ! What to do! He began to press buttons as he heard the blades try to get in.

Vincent looked at Mana for a moment then, turned back to the panel. He pressed single button and the machine lit up. His expression of fear turned into glee. He backed up from the panel as the machine started to shake and rumble . He didn't know what he did for it to work or where they were going but, he knew it would be somewhere far from here.

A feeling of relief washed over Mana as she leaned forward, breathing heavily while still holding her wound, which was bleeding through her fingers. It wasn't enough blood to make her pass out, but it was enough to make her weak and dizzy. With her unoccupied hand, she freed her hair from the uniform.

The lieutenant looked up at the machine as it disappear from the cargo hold. The black portal opened again and the blades retreated back into the portals.

The teleporter appeared somewhere in the sky of Russia then, fell 45 ft down into trees and snow. Vincent expression of glee turned into ache as he had fell to the ground from the fall. He rubbed his head and said "You Alright?"

Mana managed a nod. She too had falled once the teleporter hit the ground and was now struggling to stand up, her legs shaky. She glanced quickly at Vincent before fully standing up.

Vincent slowly stood up but, felt a sharp pain that pull him down to his knees. " Ngh..! Shit..." He murmured as he grabbed his left leg. He leaned against the wall of the teleporter while feeling his calf.

Mana turned to look at Vincent, who appeared to be injured and having trouble standing, meaning it would be hard to travel. Staying in one spot would be just like waiting for the Azazels to come pick them up. "What's wrong?"

"It feels like a tore a muscle... " Vincent stood up, hopping on leg while leaning on a hand against the wall. He looked back at her then, at the door. "Lets not worry about until we find somewhere safe..." He moved along the wall till he made it to the door.

Mana stared as he struggled to walk. He was slow and would surely have trouble moving about. She moved over to him as lent him her shoulder, "Here. I'm not as injured, so lean on me. It'll be faster. "

"Hmph.. Thanks." Vincent smiled slightly as he put his arm around her shoulder, leveling himself. He used his other hand to open the door. Once the door opened, a huge force of cold shot through the small area. "Oh fuck, that's cold.."

Mana wrapped her arm around his back just as she felt a cold wind. "Shit. Of all the places..." She was going to say something, but decided to keep it to herself. Instead, she moved forwards into the snow.

Vincent hopped along with Mana. He was took slow breathes so, he wouldn't get sick or tired quick. After awhile, He noticed a few light flickers in the distance but, he thought he was hallucinating.

Mana continued through the snow, regulating her breathing. As she walked, she didn't notice anything, since she was busy holding him up and walking. The wound on her arm stung as snow fell into it.

Vincent looked up further into the distance to see what he thought as a hallucination was actually real. He started picturing out a winter home. Though, the light were not on, he knew what he saw. " Mana... There's shelter coming up.." He smirked and looked at her.

Mana simply nodded as she walked towards it. Her grip tightened around him as she pulled him along. Soon, they stood in front of the shelter.

Vincent grasped the cold door knob and turned it. The door opened to find a beautiful but small manner. "Heh...We are so sent for the night."

After realizing that she had been holding onto him for longer than she should have, Mana released him. She took it upon herself to inspect the house, in case any one else lived here.

Vincent put his hands against the door to balance himself. He waited there while she searched the house.

Mana searched through the kitchen and rooms, but it didn't appear to have anyone in it at the moment. Surely it was fine of they stayed for one night. She went back to Vincent. "It should be fine for us to stay. You should take a seat somewhere. "

He nodded and hopped towards a couch then jumped on it. He smiled and look at her. "Hmph, I still can't believe it. We made it out of that hell hole."

Mana stared at Vincent briefly before looking for a towel. After finding one, she ran outside in search of some ice. Soon, she found an icicle and broke it into smaller chunks before wrapping them in the towel. She then hurried back to him, her cheeks already turning a rosy red from being out in the cold. "Here," Mana said while bending down, applying the ice pack to the leg with the torn muscle.
