She nodded, "Do you know how much further the cafeteria is?" She asked, hoping to lighten up the converation. Plus she was super hungry. It had been a while since she'd last eaten. The journey to the school had taken several days and she'd quickly used up her food money, leaving her with none for the last day or so of the trip.

 

[Sabishi]

"It's the next left, Lyric? Did I get that right?" I'm really bad at small talk, as well as bad at big talk. I'm just going to have to practice as much as I can to be able to fit in, and I don't think a mask is the proper way to go. Dammit. I don't want to take it off.

 

[Love You to Death]

Lyric let out a sigh of relief, she would have food soon! "Yeah." She paused unsure of what to say, "So are you excited for school here, I heard it's supposed to be pretty great."

 

[Sabishi]

I enter the cafeteria, "A little anxious actually. I've never been to a school before, but it might help me out for my own reasons." I'm nervous to meet new people since I've only had a few friends...very few. (brb shower.)

"Really?" Lyric asked, pausing to look around the cafeteria. "I hope you like it then, personally I think school kind of sucks... I love meeting new people but the workload is awful." She made a face.

Yuuki skipped to the cafeteria humming a happy song earner to eat. The food there was always the best, and they even had desserts at breakfast! He entered the cafeteria and saw two new faces. 'They're arriving already, I thought they wouldn't be here until around noon or something!' He thought curious to see what they were like. He approached them not particularly being quiet but he certainly wasn't loud. "Hi!" He said "My name's Yuuki!"

Having not seen him approach, Lyric jumped at Yuuki's voice. She spun around to face him, shocked. After a few seconds she calmed herself down and took a deep breath. "Hi," She paused, eyeing the new comer "I'm Lyric."

"Ah sorry I didn't mean to scare you. And it's nice to meet you Lyric." he said smiling "you guys look like newcomers and I wanted to tell you if you have any questions you can come to me if you want!" He said glancing between the both of them.

 

[Sabishi]

I turn around almost about to attack until I see that it's no threat. "Hi...I'm Mikahil. I was wondering what room I'm in and what classes I have?" Another person. It's not bad, but I'll feel uncomfortable if I see a few more people and then a group forms.

Yuuki racked his brain for a moment staring at Mikahil. His face brightened when he found what he was looking for "your in dorm room 118 and everyone basically has the same classes, so I can show them to you after breakfast." He said sighing with relief looking up at Mikahil. "You're really tall!" He said thinking aloud.

Lyric blinked and glanced over at Mikahil, noticing for the first time how much taller than her he was. She scowled darkly, "I hate tall people." She muttered almost too quiet to hear. After a moment she turned to Yuuki, "Do you know my room number?" She asked.

 

[Sabishi]

Seeing how cheery Yuuki is, it kinda puts me at ease. I like happy people. "Thanks. I think I'm all grown out, so I don't think I'll get any taller." I go over to get a plate and try to find some food I like. There are so many choices! They all look so good.

"Hmm..." Yuuki stared at Lyric for a moment before his face brightened once more. "Your in room 114!" He said excitedly jumping up and down a few times getting pumped. "I'm almost all grown I think I'll stop in a year or two." He said getting in line for the deserts taking a few cookies, cupcakes, and brownies.

Lyric smiled at how excited Yuuki was before getting in line herself for some food. She filled her plate and found a table to sit at. She started eating, marveling at how good the food was. She hadn't expected much, but it was way better than she'd thought it would be. She smiled, maybe school here wouldn't be that bad after all.

 

[Sabishi]

I get a lot of well assorted food that seem right together, but I mostly get rice since that's the only food I know well. "I can tell that all of this is going to taste wonderfully." I look for a table and sit down as I stare at my plate...thinking...I have to take off my mask to eat. I don't want to do that. "Can I take the plate to my dorm and eat there?"

Thoughts: "why does Mikahil want to eat in his dorm?"

Yuuki sat down and started eating humming a little. "Yeah you're aloud to eat in your dorm, although I'd advise against it. Most everything in there is white and it's pretty easy to make a mess." He said from personal experience, luckily he had got the stain out the carpet before anyone noticed so it was okay.

 

[Sabishi]

"I'd rather eat in my dorm if that's okay." I get up and start walking away with my food after placing it in a disposable food box on one of the serving tables. I leave and head out for the dormitories; after finding room 118 I unlock it with a room key that was in my letter and walk in.

Lyric frowned as he went, but made no move to stop him. Instead she continued to eat for a moment before turning to Yuuki. "So, tell me about yourself." She said, trying to strike up a conversation.

"Well there's not much about me really. I've been going to this school for two years and I'm a fairy... Um... I have telekinesis and telepathy but that's nothing special." He said, he usually didn't like talking about himself and liked learning about others more. "What about you? Where'd you come from?" He asked as he continued eating, nibbling on a cookie.

Lyric hummed thoughtfully, "Um. Well I'm obviously new here. I'm from the atlantic coast area, its not really a town or anything." She paused, "I'm a siren, so I can enchant people with my voice and I'm an empath. There isn't really anything else to say."

"Ah you're a siren? That explains why you're so pretty." Yuki said being completely honest "the school here is really good however the training can be pretty tough." He stopped eating for a moment and looked at Lyric "what was life like in the Atlantic coast area?"

Lyric blushed at Yuuki's compliment before responding, "The coast itself is pretty peaceful. We live on a cliff side so we're always next to the ocean. I honestly love it, given the choice I'd never leave. I used to go to a human school though and that was rough. Humans aren't very accepting of people who are different from you." She sighed and looked down at the table. " but that's why I came here. My parents wanted to get me away from all of that... Anyways where are you from?" She asked, looking up at him.

"Your story sounds so much more interesting than mine. I was born in a forest but I gre paw up in Maryland. I was adopted by human parents around the time I was born, I'm assuming they didn't know I wasn't normal until I was up around the age of five cause that's around the time that they completely changed. Oh yeah and I was homeschooled by my older sister."

Lyric smiled at Yuuki, "At least you've been here for a while. It seems like a really cool place. I mean we don't have to hide who we are here." She sighed happily and closed her eyes.

"Yeah I think you'll really like it here. The first year is pretty tough but after that it's really fun." He said going back to eating humming quietly to himself. "I'm glad that I don't have to hide, although most times I usually forget and hide my wings on accident." He said not looking up although luckily his mouth wasn't full while he was talking.
