Story::

Not everyone has a perfect home life. Some kids are lucky and have a typical life where they get in trouble and there parents fight, and somehow they think there life is so bad. The other kids get the unlucky lives where they are beaten, tormented, and some even raped. For these kids there is no safe place to be. At home they are tortured, and in public they are ignored. These kids live the unwanted life that someone has to. Some of them end up getting sent to the police department and put in a juvenile center, but the others end up getting sent right back to what they were running from. Saint Mary, a nun, had seen more then her share of this happen to young children. She vowed for it to not happen anymore, so she started a collection to make a facility for the children that needed extra help. Dealing with the lives they had several of these children developed mental illnesses, so Mary thought it better worth her time to make a place for them. She died shortly after they had gotten enough money for the house, so it was made in her name. Saint Mary's Home for Troubled Youth was then created to help the children that no one wanted to help. The children whose parents couldn't afford, or wouldn't pay for them to get help for their mental disorders and problems. It is not quite a institution, because they have some free time and things to do. The facility has a TV room, a rec room with all sorts of games and things for them to play with, a garden, and a library. Every door in the building has a lock on it, because the patients can only be out of there rooms during certain hours. At all hours, the outside gate is locked. It goes all the way around the facility and has barbed wire across the top of it.

(I may like to join, but I have a question. Are the youth here because they are troubled, because their home lives were troubled, or both? Is every child necessarily a juvenile delinquent, and/or is every child necessarily from a bad home life?)
 
((They're here because they are troubled. Ie: mental disorders and stuff. And they can be from anywhere, it was just created because she saw those children.

A bit about myself:: Aimi had a decent life unril she was about ten, and then things got weird. Her parents were acting strange and started fighting a lot. One day these people broke into the house and Lille her parents in front of her eyes. She had blood spattered on her and was never the same. She has been at Saint Mary's since it opened.


My special item:: A necklace with my name on it my parent bought me.

A bit about my life:: A very troublesome child. She did every thing from chain smoking to skinny dipping. She is a very vindictive mean girl and be very cruel. She uses seductive charm to get what she wants. Her mom left her when she was 10 and her father began molesting her when they found out her medical condition, BiPolar

A bit about my life:: She was from a rich, loving family until her mom died when she was six, then her dad started getting drunk and started beating her up and abusing her. Then, when she finally told authorities and her dad was taken to jail when she was 14, she lived with her ex-boyfriends family only to end up getting raped by her ex and his brother.


My special item:: her mom's silver locket


What's wrong with me:: Bipolar, depression


What sets me off:: Boys trying to befriend her freaks her out and she tends to keep distance from them

((I just wanted to say this is an old character of mine that I'm reusing. Her background story just fits well with this roleplay so I figured why not. Please treat her well))

My current age:: 13


A bit about my life:: Nova's parents were bounty hunters, and good at their job. Too good sadly enough, one day as revenge one of the many people they had locked away came to take their lives. They were horribly killed in front of Nova. Following such a site she was sexually abused and locked into a meat freezer for a few days as the criminal used her as a hostage of sorts against the police. In some ways she was lucky, if her parents were killed quickly, or she wasn't abused she wouldn't have been alive herself, for it wouldn't have given the police enough time to get there. This of course left Nova in a very fragile mental state.


My special item:: Nova has a pink bunny she carries around everywhere called Usa-san. It was the last gift she had received from her parents and has been known to talk to it alot. Without it . . . she has fits of sorts, and totally breaks down in ways.


What's wrong with me:: Claustrophobic, not always being able to notice or adapt to the world around her, memory flashes of what happen (Otherwise she doesn't remember her past at all before the tragic event.)


What sets me off:: Closed in spaces, crowds of people, older men trying to touch in any way.
