  Nichole migrated from West Tennessee to coastal Rhode Island when her and her Texas husband Remus got married. She left behind a large family of 7, along with most of her childhood pets. She graduated college with a veterinarian degree, and also gained a license in general animal training later on. Upon moving to Harmony, she had planned to get an average vet job, however once there, she realized there was not a Animal Hospital for miles. She also noticed the abundance of strays roaming the streets. She sprung into action immediately. She started out by buying all the empty lots near her home and after waiting several months, she finally got the license required to begin building up a shelter. Though, since the couple had spent most of their saving on buying the land and licenses required, they were forced to build up the shelter themselves, with the help of anyone who volunteered. After months of hardwork, a large lime green building with a wooden fence was brought up, with 12 stables attached to it's side. They weren't done yet, and began hiring people and accepting volunteers to help with the inside work. At last, the shelter was up. However, the center is not done, and they still plan to build several more buildings that will work to the animal's and the town's advantage. Nichole and Remus now live directly adjacent to the shelter, and are always working to improve it.

  Nichole is a hardworking person who works only to achieve the goals set for herself. She is loving towards those who have helped her so far, and even more towards her husband who has helped her get where she is today. She is fiercely determined and get's angered easily by those who stand in the way of her path. She hates harmony's government system, for they tried to deny her permission to build Safe Haven in the first place, but after weeks of persistence, they reluctantly gave in to her wishes.

  Carter was born in Harmony after the bust. She grew up watching as strays dug through their trash cans and her father shooed them off with a shotgun. Despite her father's disliking of the animals, her and her mother were always out feeding the strays and making sure they were healthy. She was never allowed to have a pet due to her baby sister's allergies when it came to fur, but she dreamt of it a lot. She had just turned 16 when Safe Haven opened up, and her mother pushed her to apply as a volunteer from the start, so now she spends all of her spare days working with the shelter's animals, just as she dreamed she would be able to do.

Biography: Born in Oxford, England, Cimber and her family moved to Rhode Island shortly after she was born. Over the years, her accent faded a bit and her family became much more accustomed to America, but never lost their British roots. Cimber always had a passion for animals, and jumped at the chance to get a job when Safe Haven opened.


Personality: Bubbly, kind to everyone she meets, has a sarcastic witty side to people she's comfortable around, easily impressed and hard to anger


Attributes: Gets flustered easily when embarrassed, doesn't anger easy but becomes quietly terrifying when she is, because of difficulty becoming angry often holds a grudge toward whoever made her upset until they show true remorse

Biography


Remus was born and raised in Texas, where he met his current wife through unorthodox means. He went to college and graduated with a masters in marine biology and evolutionary biology. He traveled with his wife to Rhode island, where to both their shocks there wasnt a single animal clinic within miles. He and Nichole decided to have one of their own, getting all the proper licenses and paperwork done to not have just a clinic but a facility. They had built it up on there own and plan on adding more to it.

Hes hard working and persistent, albeit can be a bit to overprotective, he will do what ever he can for his animals, even if it means getting a little mud on his boots so to say. He can be formal and does need order and records of every little thing for insurance and evidence reasons. Other than that he loves what he does and loves doing his job with his wife.

Occupation: Mailman, but visits his best friend Cimber at Safe Haven and volunteers when they need help (which is often)


Animal Focus: Due to moving about all of the time because of his job, he mainly volunteers with the horses


Biography: CJ was born and raised in Harmony, and has never lived anywhere else. He knows the whole city like the back of his hand and knows almost every citizen that lives there by name, and not just because he delivers their mail. His father was one of the cops involved in The Bust, and has since wanted to help in whatever way he can. He met Cimber in Middle School, and bullied her back then because of her accent, but the two bonded soon after a little brawl, and have been best friends ever since. They regard it as a joke now, and he now only teases her about it.

His social impairment sometimes frustrates him, leaving him angry at himself and others. Olly is hardheaded about certain matters, and difficult to deal with when he's angry.

Olly was orphaned at birth, as his mother died from complications. He and his older brother, Jean, were residents of to foster care system until he was a year old. He and Jean were adopted by Wade Lebeau, a gay ex-convict with a past of drug addiction turned hippy. Olly grew up under the careful watch of his father, who taught him to respect other people and the law. In high school, he went through a period of exploration concerning his sexuality and gender identity, which left him vulnerable to bullying. He learned to enjoy caring for animals after he found a sick stray on the streets of his former home, New York, New York, which he called "Sonni". Sonni grew older under the comfortable care of his new owner, until he passed away of natural causes. His death left Olly heartbroken, but determined to help more animals like Sonni. He moved to Rhode Island after he came across Safe Haven's website, determined to help their cause. He now lives with his older brother, Jean, in a small house on the island.

She grew up in a happy home, played soccer and ran cross country in high school, graduated in the top ten of her class and went on to college. She went out of state for school, wanting to get out of the small town atmosphere, and spent some time in the city. By the time she was walking out as a fully-fledged small animal vet, she was ready to get back to the homey feel of a small town. She moved to Harmony after an old friend sent her the information about Safe Haven, into a little apartment, with her dog, Elliot. So far, she's been pretty lonely in Harmony, but work keeps her busy enough for now.

Personality

Catalina is outwardly pleasant, friendly even, when she is out and about. Most people assume she is an outgoing, peppy girl, because that is often how she presents herself. It works well to keep people at arms length. Behaving more naturally, Catalina has a quiet but strong personality. She is resolute in her decisions but kind in executing them. Her favorite way to spend time is at work, with her furry patients. Animals and people both seem to feel innately comfortable with her calm, assertive presence. Instead of a hot streak, her temper is icy cold, slow to rise and slow to fade.

Due to recent job displacement (fired), and having heard about Harmony's recent animal crisis, he has applied for a job as a worker at the Safe Haven Animal Rescue. He believes his cool-headed manner and experience with animals qualify him greatly for the position.
