S.U. Roleplay (1x1 with Nihilist)

I'm down with any plot ideas you would like to use (I could also provide plot ideas, but they're probably gonna need a bit more development.) but I would rather play OCs rather than a canon character.

// I'm okay with OCs. I have quite a few of them, if I'm honest. We should probably talk ooc in the Out of Character tab, eh? Let's bounce plot ideas off each other. \\

As they quickly approached the planet Earth, Chalcedony made sure there was nothing else that needed to be taken care of. They were on an important mission, she believed, and she was not about to fail it due to a mistake made before they had even landed. After brooding on the topic for a minute or two she concluded that she was as prepared as she was going to get. Except for one thing.

"Topaz!" She said loudly. "Do you understand what we're supposed to be doing here, or should I run you through?" she asked, knowing that as prepared as she was, her partner may not be as ready to complete the mission. Chalcedony wanted this mission to go as smoothly as possible, so she could go back to Homeworld and be of use. As important as she believed the mission to be - it was from the Diamonds, after all- she couldn't exactly find herself excited to find out what was wrong with Yellow Diamonds experiment.

Yellow Topaz Topaz rummaged through the back of the ship looking for interesting things to share with her friends back home. Upon finding an odd bowl, she heard her name being called. Dropping the bowl, she quickly ran to the front of the ship. Fearing the urgency of Chalce's voice, Topaz scurried right into the tall gem's legs.

"Ouch..." She muttered, rubbing her head. Lifting her hair that hid her gem, she looked up at Chalcedony. A smile spread on her face. "No, of course not! I know what we're doing. We're going to see why Yellow Diamond's creepy crawlies didn't sprout or something, right?" She asked with a shrug.

Chalcedony stumbled a bit when Topaz ran into her, but held her ground. She hadn't been expecting the smaller gem to run into her. She did not smile back at Topaz, keeping a straight face. Smiles were for leisure time, and going into a mission hardly seemed like leisure time at all.

She sighed, nodding once. "Yes, we are to investigate why the Cluster failed to form, report to Homeworld, and hopefully leave." she confirmed. "So you're ready to land?" She asked, making sure. Chalcedony couldn't think of any reason why they shouldn't be able to, but if Topaz had any last-minute business to attend to then it was best to have it done now.

Yellow Topaz Topaz huffed a breath when Chalce didn't smile back and looked out the window at Earth. It was a pretty nice view. Even if it was soon going to be distroyed, Topaz kept the image of it in her mind as she returned her attention to Chalcedony. Cracking her knuckles a few times, the short gem nodded.

"Yeah, yeah. Report and go back. I get it." She muttered with a twinge of impatience. She was just ready to explore the foreign planet before her. "Well... There's nothing else to do in this ship. Let's land!" She called out happily with a raised fist. The faster they got onto Earth, the quicker Topaz could study and befriend the lifeforms inhabiting it.

"Alright, beginning landing sequence." Chalcedony said, moving over to the control panel. She placed her hand on the indicated space and entered the atmosphere, surprised by how it resisted. The ship started going faster and faster. It held well against the natural defenses from outside object and landed safely in an area with clear ground. Chalcedony put the ship into resting mode and removed her hand from the control panel.

"We should check nearby to make sure that there isn't anything nearby that could interfere with the mission." She suggested to Topaz. Drilling would take some time, they had amazing technology but this still wouldn't be near as fast as putting a gem in the ground to incubate. Something might stop their drill before it could bore its way to the core of the planet. She had been informed of gems living on the planet who opposed Homeworld, and who might attempt to put a stop to their mission.

Yellow Topaz Topaz squeaked and bounced in place. They were finally there. On Earth; man, had she heard a lot about this place. Humans! Lifeforms that kind of resembled Gems, but.. Were more fleshy and weak. Winged lifeforms, and very low technological abilities. Balled up with excitement, Topaz grabbed Chalcedony's hand and escaped the confines of the ship.

"Woah...!" Topaz looked around at the scenery around her, in awe. How does one live like this, theres no screens, not even a bot in sight. Everything was so... Organic. Topaz smirked, putting her hands on her hips. "Bet I can find the humans." She muttered, looking up at Chalcedony.

Chalcedony scanned the area, taking in the surroundings. It was so primitive, Chalcedony was clueless about how this planet worked. "I'm going to start drilling, on second thought..." She trailed off, returning to the inside of the ship. It made her uncomfortable that she was thrust into somewhere entirely unknown to her.

The inside of the ship was much more familiar. It wasn't similar to the outside in any way. Much more suited to gem life, in Chalcedony's opinion. She returned to the control panel and began the drilling process, preparing the drill to start working. It was stored inside the ship and could be extended by pressing a few buttons and switching some levers, nothing Chalcedony couldn't handle. She had been taught what buttons did what and when to flip which switches. They would be drilling in no time, then back to Homeworld away from this Earth nonsense.

Yellow Topaz Topaz blew air at her hair when Chalce reentered the ship and shrugged. She had hoped a new scenery would give her a new point of view. Maybe help the tall gem loosen up a bit. But to every gem their own. She was a true warrior gem.

"Well, I was made to be one. Not exactly one, but they tried their best." The small gem thought turning and walking into the forestry. Walking aimlessly, Topaz found many lifeforms. Small green leaping ones, small winged ones with feathers. It was times like these, she wished she was a Peridot. With a deep sigh, she kneeled before a path of liquid.

The drill was ready, pointed at the ground and cleared for drilling. Chalcedony started it up and from there she only had to wait. With the drill started and nothing else to do, Chalcedony felt awkward standing inside the ship alone. She heaved a heavy sigh and stepped out again. She looked around and couldn't spot Topaz anywhere. "Topaz?" She called, hoping the other gem was near enough to hear her.

She took a few more steps out, her unease growing. Something could come and attack her at any second. With that thought, she summoned her weapon and held it ready, refusing to possibly be caught off guard. She was in power here, not the weak inhabitants of this planet. "Topaz?!?" She called again, louder for good measure.

Yellow Topaz Topaz slammed her hands down in the water attempting to trap one of the scaled lifeforms living in the path. Over and over she tried, but each time failed. "I give up. I'm bored now." She muttered as she rose from the ground and looked around. As she was abot to continue farther into the forestry, she heard a distant call.

Confused, the small gem glanced around but saw nothing. "What... Was that?" She asked herself. Feeling exposed, Topaz frowned, hiding her fear. She took a few steps in the ship's direction when she heard the call again, this time louder. It was Chalce. Topaz smiled. "Of course! She's looking for me." Topaz ran back to the clearing to find the ship and a rigid Chalcedony. The small gem tapped her for good measure.

Chalcedony jumped away when someone tapped her, swinging her axe. She brought it to a stop before it hit whoever had approached, and would have demanded the name and purpose of whoever it was. She realized it was only Topaz and put her weapon up. "Sorry, Topaz, I thought you would have been an enemy." She explained.

She glanced around again - you can never be too wary of new surroundings - to make sure that there was still nobody near. Of course, nobody was. Even though the planet was full of life Chalcedony couldn't find any threats. It made her antsy. She was a soldier, where were the enemies!? Without a clear job to do Chalcedony felt out of place.

((@RandomSURoleplayer you forget about this?))

//No, No, I'm sorry you feel that way! I had finals today, and a distant friend of mine died on Wednesday. I'm really sorry. ;^; \\

Yellow Topaz With a gasp, Topaz frowned deeply seeing that Chalcedony had nearly cut her head off. With a meek apology, the small gem stepped back from the dangerous weapon. Shaking her head, she felt lucky that she hadn't locked up and froze there, had it been an enemy. Poofed right into her gem, she would have gone.

Topaz gulped. "So... What are ya doing?" She asked, watching the taller gem search the surrounding area. In the background, she could hear the loud whirring of the drill making it's way into the Earth, it saddened her. This place wasn't theirs to drill into. But then again, inside the Earth was something that belonged to them, to Yellow Diamond, specifically. So it was obviously fair.

"I've run out of things to do on the ship, I might as well make the most of my surroundings while I'm here." Chalcedony answered. "Have you found anything?" She asked. They hadn't been sent to scope out the planet, but it couldn't hurt to do so. Besides, Chalcedony hadn't been instructed against exploring a bit.

She wasn't sure what would happen if she did go into those woods, though. There could be enemies in there, not that she couldn't handle them. If they did manage to defeat her, however, she could be captured and prevented from carrying out the mission. Chalcedony wondered what the Diamonds would do if they didn't return from the mission. They would likely just send another pair of gems to finish the job, she thought.

((Okay, I hope your finals went well!))

// I dunno, honestly- I think I failed one of them xD \\

Yellow Topaz Excited by Chaledony's interest in exploring, Topaz ran back inside the ship. Looking around she searched for a book she was given. It explained Earth lifeforms, and she was determined to show Chalce what she found. When she found it she ran back outside, bringing the tall gem down to her height.

"I found quite some small things! L-Like here..." She flipped the pages to what looked like the small leaping lifeforms. "These things! I'm not sure on how to say the word though..." She muttered glaring at the title of the page. "And! I found... Bir-Birbs? No, birds! They are some of the lifeforms with flying capabilities!" Topaz explained, patting the book.
