The capital city of Ryken was beautiful. It simply rivaled anything Rosanna had ever seen on Earth. Not even the most magnificent structures like the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris could compare to the towering beauty of the royal palace that overviewed the city. The idyllic Kabnak river which was the countries largest river only further served to add more charm to the capital. It was a city ripped out of a fantasy novel. But then again this whole world was its own fantasy novel. She a country-bumpkin was absolutely amazed by everything taking in the sights with burning curiosity. Yet she did not forget her purpose for coming here in the first place. The Imperial Logia Academy of Ryken. This school produced some of the best intellects and mages of the century. But if you weren't born with a talent of magic or held the sharpest mind that didn't mean it was the end of the world for you. Many regular graduates went on to secure a trade that suited them and practically guaranteed a secured future. Right now it should be a little over three months into the school year so joining the academy now wouldn't be too awkward.
That's right, she endured the painfulness of traveling in a ratty old wagon to the capital to gain admission to one of the most elite schools in the country. Commoners were allowed to attend but according to some of the whispers, she's heard whilst traveling it was apparent most of the aristocratic side of Logia didn't take too well to them. Though that was a worry for the future Rosanna to deal with, the current Rosanna was only worried about gaining admission to the academy. She had only come to the capital with the clothes on her back. Literally. The only item she had in her possessions currently was a single patched wool dress and worn leather boots given to her by her mother. It was of slightly better quality than the old dress she usually wore back at home. The Payne family didn't have much a lot of things especially money so she instantly threw away the idea of borrowing money from her parents for expenses while in the capital. She could make do no matter how small. With Chinatsu's experience as an actress in the entertainment industry, it wouldn't be impossible to earn some sliver.
Had she never awakened the buried memories of her past life she most likely would have lived her whole life unaware in her home village. So she was immensely grateful for these memories, she swore she'd put them to good use. At last, she had finally arrived at the festival hosted by the academy located in an accessory courtyard out front between the main campus and the rest of the city. Though she didn't know why it was being held it was a god-sent opportunity for her. It was a great chance for people who wanted to enter the school themselves or whose relatives were interested in the school to come but they had to be checked by academy guards first for safety reasons. After going through it all the guards permitted her to pass through. Almost immediately her eyes widened at the impressive scenes before her. A young mage who appeared to be a student juggled balls of fire and water in their hands while entertaining a crowd, another mage threw a bunch of flowers into the air and then made them all fully bloom, the magical flowers descending into open palms of those below. Stalls were also set up each containing its own special thing. While she did come here with a very important mission it'd be okay to enjoy herself for a bit right..?
With that in mind, she set off into the joyous festival. Honestly, this was all kind of nostalgic. It reminded her of Chinatsu's cultural school festivals without the fantasy elements of course. Rosanna made sure to pay attention to her surroundings lest she bump into somebody. If she accidentally bumped into an aristocrat and incurred their wrath it'd be over for her. A commoner from a small farming village like her would be easy to get rid of. Just thinking of such a situation rattled her bones. Unfortunately, it seemed like she jinked it for she collided with someone after letting her guard down for just a second.
Was it possible for other people from Earth to be here? Rosanna couldn't immediately label it out to be impossible. After all, she herself had reincarnated into this world and that in itself was shocking. In Chinatsu's memories, she vaguely remembered meeting [god] upon her death and they told her many things but had never once mentioned anything about other people from Earth coming here like she was. Then again why would they tell her something like that? So many mysteries in such a short time. In this place, the man could be said to be unique with the plain colors of his eyes and hair. Most people had eye-catching colors that were bright or dark. Rosanna carried the traits of unnameable pink hair and jeweled red eyes.

"Ah! I'm terribly sorry! I-"
Rosanna turned around to apologize to the person but her words stopped midway through her sentence as her gaze landed upon his face. Why did this man seem so familiar? It wasn't his presence that seem familiar in the sense but his features. Wait.. weren't those eurocentric features?! Her suspicions were quickly rising. Was it possible for other people from Earth to be here? Rosanna couldn't immediately label it out to be impossible. "Are you a foreigner? I've never seen someone that looks like you before. You must come from a very distant country right?"
She gave a closed-eye smile and put heavy emphasis on the 'very' part of her words. Maybe what she said seemed threatening but she was just in the mood for some teasing at the moment. Plus she was also very curious as well!♡coded by uxie♡
