Val blinked and leaned her head down so that she could see his face. "Why so shy?" She asked, smiling brightly.

"This is definitely a strange day... People approaching me instead of the other way around, me being interested in actually talking to others to begin with... Usually, I would be in a fight with somebody right now, us both trying to actually kill..." She had a slight smile while she looked out the window. She was looking forward to the rest of the day, even though she had never looked forward to anything in her life other than killing whatever creature had killed her parents for six years.

Weyland chuckled again "shy? Pfft, don't be ridiculous"

Val smiled, her grin wide. "Well that is what it looks like !" She said, leaning a little more against the hammer.

'Maybe I should try saying something.' She thought to her self maybe it would be good to make friends. "U-um I don't think I ever gave my name I-I'm lily." She said really shyly to the girls.

Weyland looked up, pulling his hood off and looking at her "I'm not shy" however his voice was muffled behind the full-face mask that closely resembled that of a Grimm's, startling and making a few other students jump.

Val smiled. 'That's better." She said with a smile. She stuck out her hand with an excited smile. 'Names Valorie, but everyone just calls me Val." She said, waiting for him to shake her hand.

"Hi lily " cecily said as she holds her hand out.

Weyland extends his hand "Weyland, though you can can call me Wey"

Val smiled and shook his hand enthusiastically. "Nice to meet you Wey!" She said with a wide grin.

Val smiled. "This looks like it is going to be a fun year!" She exclaimed, looking out the window.

Weyland sighs "ugh... I'll keep my doubts, Valorie" he hangs his head low again, pulling the hood back over his head after he realises that he probably looks like a member of 'White Fang' because of the Grimm mask.

Ode smiles and looks at lilly, "I am called Ode, as in Ode to Joy." She smiled, remembering the times with her family when they played that for her birthday.

Val looked at him again. "Why did you so suddenly get sad?" She asked bluntly, looking at him.

"S-sad? Nah... Just... Hmm... I have no idea, it's not nervous... I'm.. Apprehensive I guess... All this is a lot to take in."

Cecily had freaked her out a little. And her face went red from embarrassment. Then she looked at Ode and said "that's a nice name."

Val smiled. "Well it's good that you're not sad, because then I would have to cheer you up, and sometimes people just run away when I try to do that. That or run just at the sight of me." She said, pondering.

Weyland smiled back, taking his mask and hood off to show his expression, hoping to high heavens that no one has read a newspaper recently; he wrapped an arm round Val's shoulder and chuckled "well, to a good first year here!"
