Kuroha manages to get close enough to see her, though still has a good distance left to travel. Suddenly, a Nevermore attacks him, sending giant feathers at him like it's raining arrows. Trees get broken apart, leaves flying everywhere. He nearly gets hit by one, his sword lighting on fire in time to cut right through it, burning the halves of the feather just before they hit him.

"Damn, of all the ti-" The nevermore starts shooting more feathers at Kuroha, him barely able to dodge all of them. One scratches his shoulder, it now bleeding a little. "I need to work on preparing for sneak attacks. If it weren't for that thing sneaking up on me, I might've had it dead by now..."

Suddenly, a screaming Val jumped though the bushes with a machine gun in her hand, shooting rapid fire dust rounds at the Nevermore.

Kuroha jumps back and forth from the trees, dodging every feather thrown at him. The Nevermore dives at him. He jumps up off of a branch that bends without breaking, using it as a trampoline to get on top of the bird. He stabs his flaming sword into its back, holding on for dear life.

"Whoa, this is pretty fun. If only Weyland could take control of this thing." The Nevermore spins and flies around as fast as it can, unable to shake him off as it dodges all the bullets. After a few minutes, his symbol appears on the back of his left hand. "It's showtime, birdie."

Val seemingly teleported in front of the bird, taking her hammer and smashing her hammer down into it's head. "Take that flying chicken!"

"Well my grandma always says what science can't heal magic can." She said smiling thinking about her grandmother.

The Nevermore starts to fall out of the sky from the hit, then all of a sudden is falling upwards, as though the world had just flipped upside-down. "Man, this takes a lot to do without the moon in the sky... I have to keep going though... Since the Nevermore got the upper hand with my shoulder, this is all I'm able to do. Damn thing... It's like it knew which arm I use for my strongest sword combo, even though my sword was in the other hand..."

The Nevermore suddenly starts leaving an afterimage, it now seeming to spread outwards as five birds. All five suddenly reverse, falling into each other at the center point. It falls to the ground, making a loud crashing sound.

"Damn that was a hard one to fight... Hey, Valorie! Thanks for the help with the Nevermore!" He walks over to where she's now at, his left shoulder still bleeding. "Damn bird knew what arm I used to kill the other Nevermore that got me in... Would've had it down in seconds if it weren't for that sneak attack on my shoulder... Guess this means we're partners, doesn't it?"

Valorie landed with a thud to the ground, smiling a bit as she strapped her hammer to her back. "Yeah, guess so." She said, extending her hand for a friendly handshake.

He takes her hand, shaking it. "Whew... That took a lot out of me... If only it hadn't gotten my shoulder, or perhaps it be the moon in the sky rather than the sun..."

"Hn..." He said. he suddenly froze up. "Configuration Flux." The Cube morphed into a ball. "There's something here..."

Valorie just shook her head, giving a heavy sigh. "Geeze, confusing much?" She asked, dropping her hand back to her side and fixing her bun.

"So what did you think of my semblance...?" He of course was referring to the whole matter where the bird suddenly fell upwards, split into five, then crashed back together as one.

Val smiled. "Cool, amazing, SPECTACULAR!" She said, her true personality starting to show as her eyes went wide.

Most people who see him use his semblance for the first time think he's able to bend matter, allowing for the impossible to be possible. He wonders if she'll think the same. "I've been trying to give my semblance a name. Mind telling me in your own words what my semblance is like? Knowing how it looks to others would help me name it better."

"No no, I don't need you to name it for me. I just want you to tell me what you think my semblance is at first glance, and describe how it seems to work in a few words. I'll be naming it based on the opinions and thoughts of a few people here and there."

Howling resounded over their area. "Beowolves, and by the sound of it a couple packs." He mumbled as the ball started spinning faster.

"Well, Seems the reversing of gravity takes precedence in people's minds over the fact that I split the bird in five there, but oh well. I'll just include a part in the name that makes that part easier to notice."

He realizes his blade's still inside the bird, the bird currently on fire from the flames being against it so long. "Crap crap crap, forgot to pull my sword out! Now we've got a huge fire on our hands. Professor Goodwitch'll be killing me for this..."

Kuroha runs over to the burning bird. He runs through the flames, pulling his sword out, then backflipping away, landing next to Valorie again. "Well, let's get out of here before the professor finds out about it. Oh, before that, ever wanted to look into someone's eyes upside-down...? They gain an interesting feel when upside-down."

Weyland laughs a little, grabbing her by the shoulders and kissing her back. Smiling again as he draws away "Tch, I decided I'd get my payback... Problem?" He comments once more. The Beowolf seems to shudder a little, turning it's head to Weyland and letting out a few short grumbles and snorts, Weyland blushing in response "shut it Wolfe!"
