That's a part of the reason why I don't like him... that and also taking up 4 episodes of Vol 1 when it could have been used to give Yang more Character

Exactly. The bullying arch was stupid as shit. Although I did personally like the bit where Jaune revealed he cheated his way into Beacon. I thought that was awesome. And him and Pyrrha bonding made me happy. But the bullying arch was just bad, and shouldn't have been included. Characters like Yang, and especially Pyrrha herself need character development.
