"Oh my god, finally!!" Akashi yelled, stretching away the laziness he had retained since coming here. After being cooped up in this stupid camp for so long, Akashi would do anything to get out. "I say we go! But unlike that Belladonna back there I can't get the help of my white fang. Father's joyous this happened." Akashi forwarded to the rest of his team, spinning on his heel to look at Forest. Learning of all the stuff he could do with his semblance came was a shock at first, but hey, it was actually pretty cool. And now that he honestly didn't care for holding secrets anymore, it isn't something he would avoid so actively. He could trust him.

Popping a few pieces of candy in his mouth, putting the crinkling wrappers in his pocket, he began to leisurely spin around, arms stuck out as he hummed a song in his head. 'This shouldn't take long, I don't think anyone here is the type to ignore the problem and stay here.'

Grey Rook Schnee"The airships will arrive in a hour. Those who are going. Pack your bags and meet outside the camp." Looking over at the group one last time, Grey wondered what will come from these children heading off on such a dangerous task. So many have already left off on their own, and seemed unfit to take this on. Yet he strangely had some semblance of faith in them and he couldn't help but think that Onyx had something to do with that. She'd been amazing by her side and he couldn't help but feel affected by her. Onyx shined with bright leadership and grace, she would become a great leader some day. Such a bright light, only made him feel more like her shadow. Grey took her wrist and squeezed it gently to notify her that he was going off somewhere. Before he let go and walked off over to the guards to order them to set a area out for the two airships for when they arrive.

He spoke calmly with the soldiers almost a bit friendly with them, however he stopped and turned as they noticed his brother and friends come by. "Cirrus. I have news for you. You, Orion and I will not be headed to Shade Academy with the rest of the student. Our grandfather has died. We will be attending the will reading as it is required. Our airship will be leaving in a few moments. I'd say goodbye to your friends and make sure to get Orion." With that he turned onto his heels and pulled out his scroll. Dialing a number he called to the pilot of the air ship to make the landing before the other ship arrived. "My people are clearing the airspace it shouldn't trouble my people at all. Land easily." He said with a dangerous smile.

Onyx waited for Grey to finish and leave before doing anything. She looked over the group, she knew her friends would be able to handle this. The others? She damned sure hope so. As they all broke into inevitable chatter, she took her naginata, did a small swirl to catch their eyes and slam the haft into the ground, a dull thud resounding to hopefully get their attention. "I will be leading you guys to Shade Academy, more or less. Hopefully you all were paying attention, but just in case, if you are going, pack up and meet me outside the base. Some airships will be waiting. I leave an hour and a half from now, with or without you, got it? Good." She did another twirl of her spear, sheathing it and turning away to walk the base. She had roughly fifty minutes to kill until the airships arrived.

"You're going back to Atlas? Even after everything you just told us?" Cirrus asked incredulously followed up by Sage. "I-isn't it more important to go help people?" He stammered a little nervously well aware of Grey's cold reputation. Cirrus meanwhile silently searched his brother's face while trying to work out his reasoning, after a few moments he got it and felt a little embarrassed for not getting the hint right away. "This is about more than just paying our respects." He said more for Sage's benefit than anyone else's. "Grandfather always enjoyed being in control and this is his last chance to do that, also he never stopped looking for a way to get the SDC back from aunt Weiss after she took over, he wanted to leave a legacy and she took that away from him." Sighing he looked down at Sage. "The others can handle things in Shade but the SDC is too influential across the world for us to ignore this. I know you thought this wouldn't take long when you agreed to come and it would've just been instead of sitting around here waiting for something to happen, if you want to go to Shade with the others now I'll understand."

Sage looked indecisively between Cirrus and his teammates. On one hand anything could happen on Vacuo, he somehow doubted that it would be as easy as Grey had made it out to be to collect the cure and there was no guarantee he and Cirrus could return in time for the fight in Vale, on the other Cirrus had just told him about the pit of vipers he would be travelling into without his team at his side. "I...I'll stay with you, Culpeo and Saffron will have the others to watch their back but if everyone is watching you and your family in Atlas it might be helpful to have someone like me there right?" He glanced at Grey hopefully still a little unsure if the older Schnee had any objections to him going with them, beaming Cirrus hugged him quickly. "I'm sure you will Sage, we'd better go talk to our teams before we go." Letting Sage go find his remaining teammates Cirrus went in search of the rest of Team CROC.

Easily spotting Bruno sticking out above the crowd he was pleased to see both Croc and Ren with him their newest teammate had kept to himself a lot so it was good to see him actually engaging for a change, Cirrus didn't regret not abandoning Ren in the disaster but he did wonder just how much Ren had known about "Ophelia" perhaps he would ask Grey about it on the way to Atlas. "Hey guys, you know how I said I'd probably be going back to Atlas for a while?" He said with a slightly guilty look even with all his justifications. "Well it's happening, me, Grey, Orion and Sage are heading there as soon as the airship arrives. I guess you're all heading to Shade right? I'm sorry I can't be there but you guys stick together alright?" He went in to hug Bruno first thinking he would be the least likely to blow him off.

"Yeah sure have fun in Atlas." Culpeo huffed as Sage made his slightly less grabby goodbyes to him and Saffron, seeing the hurt look on the faunus' face he sighed and forced a smile. "Just stay safe, we'll be fine." Seeing Onyx wandering off on her own he let Saffron and Sage have a moment to themselves and took off after her. "Onyx wait, I wanted to ask you something. Can we really trust these Schnees? We're expected to trust them with our lives all of a sudden and everyone seems fine with it, Sage is leaving us to go all the way to Atlas instead for one and you're..." He lapsed into silence before his frustration turned his questioning into an accusation.

"I guess we should start getting our things together then." Croc said Bruno before turning around to go get his things. As he did so though Cirrus came up to him and the rest of team CROC. "Your heading off to Atlas? At time like this... Well it's your choice I guess" Croc said slightly disappointed in Cirrus for leaving his team. "Don't worry I'll take charge while your gone and keep everyone together" Croc added smirking.

"I see... Well be safe okay Cirrus" Bruno said after Cirrus said he would be leaving them for the time being. Bruno of course gave him a hug good bye.

Croc then just patted Cirrus on the back before turning around back to the build. "Be safe, okay?" Croc said before heading off to get his things followed by Bruno who nodded to Cirrus before running off after Croc...

Onyx stops and turns, looking over Culpeo for a moment. "I believe so, yes. Why?" She asked him, head tilted to the side. "Do you not believe in him? Why do you have these concerns? If they based on the fact he is a Schnee alone..." She pauses, not wanting to get nasty. She takes a steadying breath. "You're wrong. He hasn't made the mistakes... Other generations have."

Catch-Up, Iris:
Brinni Brinni
This wasn't anything like she thought it would be. The Fall of Vale, people turning to Grimm, and now students taking on the task of huntsmen. It seemed the world was spiraling into chaos reminiscent of Salem's appearance before. Others seemed to take it in strides, using their abilities to make differences in the fight against Grimm. However, Iris was not one of those. With little training in medicine, no technical skills to help reconstruct, and even her disability left her unable to even stand guard at the walls. Iris felt more useless than ever. Even if she couldn't see the glaring eyes of those around her, Iris was sure that everyone loathed the helpless cripple.

Her only solace during the crisis was the few connections she'd made. Namely Saffron, well earning his title of best friend to Iris. Checking on her and updating her on the comings and goings of past classmates. Iris wondered why Saffron didn't leave with Skyler, and the others. It seemed he leapt at adventures like that, unless something was weighing him down.

These were the thoughts that circled as Iris stood in the back of the large group, listening to Grey's speech. The prospect of traveling, doing something to help, and the danger that would come wasn't enough for Iris to lift her head. 'I wouldn't be of use; as a pack mule, as a look out, or as a fighter.' Iris decided, turning from the crowd to take her place in a corner somewhere. The girl only stopped after hearing a proposition from the densely packed area.

"We're in guys. Anything beats sitting around here anymore."

Iris' ears twitched at the familiar voice, and the rallying of agreement. Despite the hesitation, Iris moved to her room. The dark storage area could hide her well, as well as the make shift pillow she was burying her head in. Even so, Iris lifted her head ever so often to glance over where she knew her sword was propped up.

Catch-Up, Zenith:
Brinni Brinni The Prophet The Prophet xAlter xAlter
Unlike others Zenith was getting stir crazy in the camp. With little to do except comfort those around them, busy work around the camp, and facing the occasional Grimm that made it to the gates; Zenith was bored 99% of the time. The only break from the monotony was the time spent training. Swordmanship grew with practice, and having a few sparring partners made it much easier than his time before Beacon. Beyond that, BASL being one of the only teams left together meant Zenith got to spend more time with them as well. Which wasn't a loathing experience anymore.

Fighting together, sharing each other's semblances with one another, and taking on the chores of camp life was interesting. Zenith felt closer with his team than he had with anyone in a long time, and it showed in the occasional half smile he wore most days. Although he'd never let anyone know this, and would drop into his sullen facade in the public eye.

However now would be an exception, with the promise of change in his head Zenith's plain face allowed a bit of hope through. "Of course we're going!" Zenith exclaimed, Akashi's excitement slightly contagious. Zenith turned back to Forrest, realizing his teeth were wide in a smile. "Um, I agree with Akashi. Anything is better than staying here." Collecting himself Zenith returned his stance back to uncaring, thinking of everything they'd need to gather for the trip.

Catch-Up, Slate:
Brinni Brinni The Suspicious Eye The Suspicious Eye
While most loathed their time in the camp, Slate looked foward to his time there. And for one reason; his father couldn't touch him. The walls, the ever watching eyes, close knit sleeping quarters, and the threat of Grimm on the outside had gave Slate the impression that he would be safe. No more surveillance, no more spying, no more stealing, and no more jobs. The man's clutch couldn't get him, at least that's what he thought.

In the time disobeying his father, Slate had changed himself. With help from others he was learning to be who he wanted to be. No lying, manipulating, or harming others for the sake of information and identity. It was different, but it was what he wanted. However it didn't last long after the fall. Slate didn't count the fact that the camp was for all survivors within Vale, even those of seedy intentions.

The broken moon hung low at night, and with Slate's eyes standing guard seemed like a good use of his skills. Alone as the first line of defense made him an easy ambush, back turned to the people he was supposed to protect. With relative ease Slate was disabled, paralyzing poison given directly into the spinal chord made for a quick effect. Familiar hands gripped his body and carried him away, finding one of the many holes through the perimeter and escaping into the areas now home only to Grimm.

When Slate woke again he was on a roof in Vale, the gentle breeze from the height as well as the occasional Griffon passing by proved his theory true. Looking around furthered his thoughts, the appearance of other buildings as well as the access door across the way. Attempting to move his body revealed the ropes tethering his body to the concrete, large metal spikes acting as the anchor against his strength. With the evidence fully settling in the dateline began pumping into Slate's body, causing him to push his against restraints as hard as he could.

A foot landed on his body hard, enough to push the air from his chest as well as remind him of the pain in his back. It stayed, pushing down and holding the captive fiercely. "Stop struggling, you're in those until we let you out." The familiar voice strung out, much more crueler than usual. Laurel creeped from the shadows, the black form of her tail illuminated by the moonlight. "And you'll listen to what we have to say before that happens." She moved closer, moving her weapon of choice back and forth. "I will say it's strange you have enough strength to move," Laurel cooed, returning to her teasing nature for a moment. "However you're quite accustomed to my toxins, you're father was always a fan of it for your punishments."

On the outside Slate kept his composure, surveying his surroundings. The hefty hoof against his chest belonged to the bull compatriot Mercury favored (who's name is a blank and I'm too lazy to look up), he could tell by the shape as well as the sadistic way it turned against his skin. They were outside of the walls, somewhat far out, and most likely at the mercy of the Grimm. And, to his worst fear, it was unlikely anyone would come for him. The changing of shifts happens every 6 hours, and Slate's wasn't due for another 5 when he fell to their trap.

"You know, Tauran (maybe that's his name?) thought you'd do something like this, but I thought you'd always be good." Laurel shook her head, "Place a few cameras, collect some information, sleep around with beautiful schoolboys and girls. Nothing out of the ordinary for you, right?" Laurel nodded to herself, getting all of the answers from Slate's face as it drifted more and more to fear. "You're grasping the situation by now I reckon... We know everything Slate."

Usually punishments for failing a mission or training was cruel, playing on weakness set into Slate from a young age. While most failures incurred due to outside circumstances, this one was compromised from his own inhibitions. Thus, Slate didn't know what this would entail, but he had clues from the treatment he was receiving. The bones beginning to shake from the force of bending inwards towards a breaking point in his chest and the way Laurel was speaking out loud rather than in his ear.

"So, what now?" Slate leaned back, doing his best to breathe with the pressure.

"Now you listen." The steely voice broke the silence only being perforated by the cracking of Slate's ribs and growls of nearby Grimm. Laurel crouched down next to his head, revealing just how close Slate was to the roof and the streets below. "Slate, we're disappointed." Laurel sighed, the tail slipping under Mercury's neck in a coddle. "We give you a simple job, one with time for your brother and a nice education alongside it, we know how much you enjoy Weapon's Class with.. Professor Sharp?" The tail moved quickly, encasing Slate's neck in a choke. "And then a few drinks, favors from some sluts, and some envy gets you to spill your guts in a bathroom?"

Slate's eyes widened, focusing on her and away from the chokehold. "Oh, surprising? Did you think Mercury would send us because you missed a few lines on his sheets? No no, your phone was bugged. We heard everything and we know your teammates know as well." Laurel released Slate's neck, allowing the boy to gasp out for air desperately needed. "Who cares, I'm not doing the job anymore." Slate lashed out in defiance.

Tauran lifted his leg, replacing it with a firm hand pulling on Slate's collar. It took force, but Slate's body was pulled hard enough to break the spikes holding him down. Now over the edge of the roof in suspension, Slate's hand gripped on to Tauran's arms. "This isn't something you can dispute. Laurel and I are in charge of cleaning up your mess. Understand? Which means you'll do the job, or I'll have your ass for two years in solitude training." Tauran shook the boy as if he was a rag doll.

Slate shook his head, "I'm not scared of your's or father's punishments, I know I can be different." Even as he spoke Slate was cracking, knowing that they would've found out about him, and that this was inevitable. "I don't care what the job is, you can do it yourselves." Slate pulled against the grip in defiance. Which to his surprise released him letting him fall back on the concrete roof. "if you insist Slate, we'll take care of them all ourselves."

Slate's face dropped, realizing his blunder would be the death of his teammates and friends. "I can't do it, I promised them I'd change." Slate looked to both of them, all sense of tact and persuasion seemingly lost to Slate as he tried to form words. "They won't say anything, they don't know about other jobs or anything." Slate begged. Tauran kicked Slate over, "You have time, but take too long to do it yourself and we'll do it for you." Tauran sneered above the figure.

Slate wanted to try another chance at his wordplay, but wasn't given a chance. Instead of another turn with Laurel's poison, Tauran took it upon himself to lean down to Slate. A nasty right jab rocked Slate's head, instantly knocking him unconscious. The two traveled back, depositing Slate at his station. After dodging a few questions when he awoke form the changing shifts, Slate headed to his bed. From his cot he could see each person he'd been asked to put a bullet in, and it made sleep unbearable.

Time had past since that night, however Slate hadn't forgot the warning. Now with a chance to escape without that, Slate sought out Cherry first.

In the Devastation of ValeThe dark clouds casted a shadow over the empty land that was once beacon. The grimm both Brutus and normal prowled through the streets in a never ending wave of monsters. The pulsing black and red tendrils that wrapped around the city and lead straight into beacon's tower were steadily stretching out towards the rest of the country. The only force opposing the increasing expansion of this monstrosity were the brave huntsmen who are doing their all to stop this disasters, but it isn't easy. With the fact that many of the grimm are infected humans. Still the battle was a dangerous necessity one that needed to be won.

Meanwhile deep in the heart of beacon a door opened up into a dark and small room. “Well now this is a surprise. Have you learned your lesson, daughter?” There Ophelia sat, eyes red from crying, hands bloody and hair disheveled, resting on her legs her body stiff and poised as she slowly slid down and gave a deep bow.

“Yes. I am sorry to have disappointed you so deeply.” She said her voice hoarse and empty as if she spent days screaming her soul out of her body. Beside her a black dress shoe stepped into the crescent of light.

Cinder noticed and smiled, “you did good. Better than the other one. Then again what would I expect from a thing like you.”

“She is powerful which means she’s useful to what’s to come.” The thing said it’s voice disembodied as if it was echoing from every crevice of the room. “Go child. Fulfill your duties.” Ophelia got up and walked towards the door and past her mother giving the dark room one last glimpse before disappearing from the doorframe and down to get a change of clothes and a decent meal. The voice spoke to Cinder, “She’ll hold back no longer.”

“Good. I’m looking forward to it.” Cinder hummed before closing the door.

Combat Mechanics:
This combat, for those who choose it, it will be a horde mode style. You'll write your post and then roll a 10 sided dice. A DM will roll one as well and write a post. Whoever's roll is higher has the upper hand in the fight. If you roll higher than the DM then your attack will do more damage, if you roll lower, your attack still lands you may be ambushed or activate a trap. If it's a tie then your attack is simply successful.

Ren TorchwickThroughout this disaster there were various military bases built to keep the outbreak at bay. Using a massive barrier generator to prevent the tendrils from invading the base, while huntsmen fought the rest back with their skills outside the barrier. The tendrils emitting from the city wriggling against an invisible barrier slamming aggressively against it. Around the edges, huntsman entered and exited the barrier through checkpoints. It was hard work keeping the tendrils back, but nowhere near as difficult as fighting the horde inside the city.

A small car arrived on the military base, far east of the city of Vale. Slowing to a halt at the wide gate there was some information exchanged between the driver and the guardsman before the car continued forward. The loud whirr of the generator could be heard throughout the base as the car passed through the conjunction of buildings towards the central base. The car came to a halt and the back door opened and a familiar black hat and slender body came out as Ren looked up at the base. "Finally I'm here."

Walking up the stair she made his way inside the large military building. There was not time to waste he had to meet with the general and get clearance to enter the city. Luckily for him, he had been pre approved so it shouldn't take much time. Connections in high places, connections in low places, no matter where they came from I'm just glad they can get me here.

Ophelia FallAs the day turned to dusk the red sky over Vale seemed to darken to a soft violet. Looking out at the destruction of Vale Ophelia noticed a strange pattern to the design. There were certain areas that held less grimm and could be manageable given the right direction. Walking across the rooftop she scanned how far the passage went and started to devise a escape plan. Feeling a hand on her shoulder she jolted ever so slightly and looked over to see Salem standing beside her.

"S-Salem..." Ophelia uttered softly, unsure what else to say.

"You know I still hold my 'daughter's' memories. I know of your tactics, probably better than your mother. Don't do anything foolish child." She said with a cold threatening tone.

"Of course." Ophelia said, realizing how foolish she was.

"Go patrol the eastern area. With the dust deposits there grimm don't maneuver that area much. It's perfect for you." Salem said.

"Yes, Salem." With a slow lifting of her hands a dust deposit rose beside her, she flattened it to a board and hopped on.

"I'll be watching you." Salem said with a smile on her face.

Ophelia didn't look back and floated down towards the eastern area. Breaking through the clouds of smoke she landed on the ground besides a series of deposits and took a deep breath. Extending her reach with her fingers she rotated her wrists and pulled her hands to her in small circling motions. Deposits crumbled into dust and spun around twisting and congealing into six versions of herself each one a varying color of dust. Looking back at her work she turned back and the seven walked in unison down the long empty street.

Inside the sturdiest building in the camp was one Atlas greatest generals, General Charles Drake himself. Charles was looking over a map of vale discussing plans of attack to push back the Grimm and infection with other military leaders. At Charles, legs rested a large wolf with many battle scars, like his master. Besides, the wolf was heavily armed robotic guards ready to protect the general and as well as the other military leaders. "Sir there is a young man here to speak with you," an assistant said entering the room conference room.

"...Oh yes, the child of the criminal. Gentlemen if you could give me a moment I have a meeting with a young... Huntsmen." Charles said to the military leader who left shortly after. Ren was then guided into the room by an assistant to the general. "If it isn't my daughter apprentice," Charles said as Ren enter the room. He then went over to a table in the back of the room where glasses and a bottle of vodka. He poured himself a glasses as he commented: "I would offer you a glass but I don't believe you're old enough... And I wouldn't want to waste good Vodka on you anyways". Charles took a sip before finally getting to the point "You want entrance into the city. While I care little for your life, your past or in this case the past of your family come into question. So will ask this once and if you lie about a single word you will not leave this base alive. Why do you want into the city and do you plan to do in there?"

Ren TorchwickRen certainly didn't like Charles Drake in the slightest. Every time he interacted with the man there was a new form of distaste forming on his face. However, Ren was used to it, there were quite a few people who voiced their distaste for him and his family. Especially with his somewhat questionable childhood past in Mistral. With no parents at a early age, there wasn't much discovered on who raised him or how he came to where he was now. His past was shady to say the least, and Ren hated those who dug it up. Still, the general's daughter was a great mentor and mother figure, so he dealt with the chastation in a calm manner. Raising a brow as the man continued his relentless jabs at him. Turning around as the general Drake passed him and poured himself a glass of vodka.

Turning away from the general he moved over to the desk. "I've been ordered by your head of scientific affairs to gather a important sample. Here's the paperwork." Placing the documents onto the general's desk. There was a notice of entrance for Ren along with any security, disclosures and NDA paperwork all signed. Resting at the bottom of most of the documents were Ren, various generals and officers and Professor Carmine's name. All stamped and officiated through the proper channels, thanks to Ren's vast connections he was finally close to getting back into Beacon.

"So how's that for candor, general?" He said with a smirk, knowing full well the general couldn't say no to all this. Everyone made sure of that. Yet somehow Ren was certain Charles was going to make this a difficult as possible for him.

Charles sat down at his desk began looking through the papers Ren placed on his desk. He slowly flipped through them. He carefully read them and analyzed every signature. After he was done he calmly place the papers down and looked to Ren. "This only answers the reason for you going and only barely. More experience huntsman would much better for the job than you. But let's say this what you are truly planning to do there, even though I doubt that to be true. It still leaves why you want to do this. I want an answer child and don't give the I'm doing it for the greater good or because I believe it's the right thing to do. We both know that's not the reason why and that it will never be the reason why." Charles said grilling Ren for true answers to his questions.

Fang this whole time was circling Ren, making sure he didn't make any sudden moves. He looked like he was just itching for the chance to pounce and rip Ren to shreds. Fang even growled as Ren got close to his master. It was obvious he didn't like Ren in the slightest bit. The wolf even tried to trip Ren the moment he moved to his master once more...

Ren TorchwickKeeping tabs on the wolf prowling around him, Ren kept his cool and let out a sigh as he shook his head. "And here I thought because I was told to go, was a adequate answer for why I was going. However if you want a honest answer.... Since I'm often under the eye of the government I think doing them a favor would make me look better to them. I am merely a civil servant." He said taking his hat off and bowing mockingly to Charles. Standing back up his cool smile never faltered. "That approach works on most, you know." Knowing full well that it didn't work on Charles in the slightest."Besides all of my adoring fans will just love to know I'm a hero as well as handsome." Giving him a copy wink we he placed his hat back on his head.

Looking at the uninterested face of the general Ren shrugged. "I mean you can ask all those guys why they wanted me, for the job. Which I think is a waste of time for the both of us. Don't you think? I'm here for my image and to do my job. Isn't about time that you do yours and approve this grandpa? Or do you still want to grill me?" Ren said with a smile still on his face but with a cocky tone to say the least.

Charles Watched Ren, looking very uninterested as he spoke. He did look annoyed however when Ren called him grandpa. This is when Charles right hand went under the desk and pulled out a gun. He shot a bullet a few inches away from him and into the wall behind him. "First, you will show me respect when you speak to me, Torchwick," Charles said in a very serious tone. "Next, I don't think the people who signed these papers did because they think you're the best choice for this task. With that logic, I think you're lying about why you want to enter the city." Charles said slamming his empty hand onto his desk.

"But lucky for you Torchwick, I can't prove that at the moment," Charles said getting up from his desk. "But what I can do is make sure the job is done and that you don't stray from your task," Charles added walking over to Ren. "You will be free to enter the city, with and only with one of my top Atlas military huntsmen. He will be there to help complete the task and then bring you back right after. No delays, no side tasks, just collecting the samples." Charles said smirking. "Now I'm done grilling you Torchwick"

Ren Torchwick"Whoa!" Ren said as he raised his hands up when the general pointed the gun at him and fired a very angry warning shot. Guess he's still prickly on the whole Grandpa thing. I could've lost my head on that one. He thought as he looked at the angry old man who continued on saying how. He was unfit for the job Shrugging Ren nodded, "well I mean with that logic sure. Though I'm a pretty capable guy if I must say so..." Cut off as Charles slammed his hand onto the desk. Raising a brief Ren had to wonder when this old man was going to give himself a hear attack, or have someone give it to him.

Watching as the man got up and stepped towards him, Ren took a step back a bit worried what the old man might do up close. As he finished by assigning him someone to watch over him as he worked Ren couldn't say it wasn't expected. Though he wasn't a fan on ruining his clothing over some guy, oh well what's to be done is to be done. Giving a shrug and a smile Ren replied, "well I can't say no to that." Tilting his head his eyes grew sharp and dangerous as he added. "Have your top huntsmen up a s ready as soon as possible. I want to finish this job quickly. I want to spend some quality time with your daughter."

"I'm going to take my leave them gra..." Pausing he chuckled, "general."

Golden eyes narrowed through the binoculars at the seven figures walking the street far below, then widened. She's here! Small victories though...it doesn't look like she's on our side right now. Though whether it's by choice or forced I can't tell without asking, and after that display I have no interest in getting close...yet. I have to get back. Let him know...maybe some of the adults and the Professors too...They'll have better answers for what to do next.

She looked the her binoculars once more at the seven figures. Moving them to try and get a better view of where she was going she saw a flash of sunlight on glass. Refocusing she realized she wasn't the only one watching. A woman with brown hair and a grey uniform had also been watching Ophelia and was now looking back towards her and waved, a sly smile on her face. Tapping the button on her side she could feel the energy rushing through her. She stood up from her ledge on the roof of a building and began to jump from roof top to rooftop, not worrying about the minor pieces of rubble that fell off of some of the buildings. Right now, speed was necessary not stealth. She practically flew back to her base of operations, knowing she had enough of a lead not to be followed, especially across rooftops. About twenty minutes later she skidded to a stop in front of her tall companion. "Titan. I found her." Jade smiled. "The real question is now that we know she's here, and alive, what do we do?"

Hazel for her part simply wrote down her findings. She wasn't concerned about the girl she'd seen. She knew that the faunus was one of Grey's underclassman. Even if he had no concern of the other students, it never hurts to know who else knows what you do. Adding it to her electronic report she faded out of sight and crept her way somewhere safer to compile her update on the state of Vale for Grey. Every intelligence agency needs people to gather the information for them.

The evacuated city left every building abandoned or used for grounds of Grimm, meaning the pickings for a base outside the refugee camp wasn't easy. If you were on the ground then the Grimm would find you within a night, but staying on the roofs during the day was asking for a meeting with a Griffin. Thus a large building with a stair access was the chosen place for a headquarters, giving quick access to the roof while also allowing them to block the lower levels. Add a few bedrolls, backpack, and a paranoid's wall tacked with info; you would have Titan and Jade's home. The large man sat with his back against the wall waiting for his companion, finding idle things to do in the time. When Jade did finally find her way back through the roof access Titan had already finished reloading his bullets with the dust he'd been able to scavenge.

"Wait really?" Titan stood, gripping his hands together to close the receiver on his gauntlets as he did so. "I don't know, she wasn't alone was she?" Titan asked, brightening the small lantern to illuminate the campsite. "I didn't think we'd get that lucky." Golden hair was pushed back against his head, a hand running it down to the new worn clothing. What was left of the kimono made a tucked in shirt, while black pants accompanied the rest of his outfit. The scrapes and scratches of fights couldn't escape all of his clothes and the time that the two were out there was evident. Between skirmishing grimm as quietly as possible and scouting for Ophelia, at least Titan looked somewhat primal. "I'm guessing you have an idea?" Titan looked to Jade, the contemplation on her face giving him hope.

OOC: I'm not gonna lie I'm very sick while writing this so it might not make sense. Just ask me if you don't understand anything.
Reinhart Torchwick, Ophelia Fall & SalemRen sat in the car with the appointed military huntsman and sighed. Looking the rigigid man up and down he sighed. "Come on. Well you'll have to do." His eyes began to glow as he continued, "you want to get back quickly and safely right?" The car bumped and jerked to the left as the twisting vines shot towards them.

"That's true thus I will escort you through your mission. Keeping a deep eye on you per my general's orders." The soldier said as he calmly turned the steering wheel, evading another vine. Pressing his foot to the gas pedal the car speed forward as they reached the empty city.

"That's not necessary. We both know that you need to get back asap. Isn't that right?" Ren said as they grew closer to the city streets, they were lucky as there weren't any grimm chasing them. He looked on to the empty streets as he heard something that brought a smile to his face.

"Yes that's right." The soldier said strangely, the persuasion was working. The car slowed as the vines stopped and they reached the street.

"Then you should stop the car and go back to your camp. I can find my own way." Ren said as the car slowed to a stop. Opening the door Ren slid out of the car and waved man off as the car turned and drove away. "Too easy. Now for the real mission." Looking around he pulled out a gun and began to run down the streets. He needed to find her.

Untitlednmbkjbk.jpgOphelia FallThe eastern side was barren as most of the area was reserved for the sleeping dragon grimm eggs buried below. Watching over the volatile empty area Ophelia walked, she had nothing but time. Time to think about what Argent had shown her. It was hard to face and made her ponder, what exactly was wrong with her. She always gives her devoted loyalty to those who dont' deserve it, even if it means betraying those who have. She was stuck with her mother, her childhood friends, her small circle of fiends all with their own motives and hidden agendas, and here she was just wanting to be treated better. She had to wonder if she was a masochist. It's crazy to live like this, to be wounded physically and mentally, yet come back every time. Putting on a mask to hide how much it hurts to knowingly being used by those you love, on top of being a hypocrite as she does the same to others.

She felt selfish for wanting something she's denied others. There were so many wonderful people she'd met that she killed, betrayed, or tossed aside. Those she befriended, were the ones who did the exact same thing. She'd thought she'd come to an understanding, that it was natural, that everyone did it. However spending her time here she realized she was so very wrong. Five years of her short life she got what she wanted. A happy home, goods friends without hidden agendas, a caring partner, and in the end she still the it away. What right do I have to want this still? Why am I so wrong? Even though I have no right to think this way but still, it's just unfair.

Is it so hard to want love from the people so close to you.

Ren turned the corner and came across the long street.

To be put first as you put them first.

Looking out he saw Ophelia and her dust clones walking down the lonely street and then up to the central tower. His eyes shining with determination, as he began to walk. His pace picked up til he was running towards her.

To find someone who cared and wanted the best for you.

Lifting his gun he didn't hesitate as he pulled the trigger. Bang. Bang. Bang!

I wish they were like that.

The first lodged directly into her head, the other two piercing her chest as the body of the dark blue dust clone. As her body crumbled to pieces Ophelia's hand moved and the pieces formed into a ice platform. Watching as Ren passed by her and lept onto the platform.

"Argent is up there." Ophelia said calmly as she began to push the platform up towards the rooftop.

Looking back Ren tipped his hat to her as he was floating off. "Thanks Blondie." Looking towards his goal, the domineering figure who rested above the tower.

But that's not the case.

Giving a sad laugh to herself she realized how much of a fool she was. It's funny it took seeing her deepest and darkest fears, made her realize just how wrong she is. Wiping the tears from her eyes, her hands stung from her earlier wounds. "I don't ..." Clutching her head she wondered what she could even do, "I'm so stupidly stubborn. I can't leave, I don't know how."

319fb0738a6d69b26c23db4babf4a02e.jpg
Reinhart Torchwick & SalemRiding up the platform Ren felt it wobble a bit as Ophelia lost her focus. Raising a brow he wondered what was wrong, but kept his eyes on the prize. He had his job, Avery dangerous one but one he could only do, simply because he was the best persuader on hand. Activating his semblance his eyes glowed, no lollygagging around. Any slip up and I might die. Taking a deep breath he smiled as he met Salem's eyes, waving a bit he called out. "Greetings your grace. If you don't mind not killing me. I'm just a envoy." He could feel the power resonating from her and it was unsettling, but not as stifling as what he was used to. He could do this.

Salem looked over at Ren as he floated and raised her hand to shoot the boy out of the sky only to stop. Her eyes widening as she sensed a impossibly familiar presence. "You..." Letting the boy land on the room, the platform crumbled into dust and scattered under his feet.

"Ah so you noticed." He placed his hand on his chest and gave a coy smile. "The answer is yes. There's no denying it, you can feel it." His eyes shone with dangerous intent. "Of course you do. It's quite obvious." Straightening up he looked Salem up and down, she was shorter than what he read. Wondering if this was a side effect of the merging his interest was certainly peaked. Though he didn't have much time to fully investigate, he had a job to do after all. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a syringe and a series of vials. "I'm here to take your blood your highness. Now if you don't mind extending your arm. I'll also need some of your hair. You know how it is. We humans are so very greedy."

Salem looked at the man coldly and then turned her attention back to Ophelia. It was unclear if he unrelenting attention to her was bred from distrust or Silver's lingering attachment to the girl. Either way he eyes didn't leave Ophelia's small form even from miles away.

Ren didn't take chances and went too take the samples veins quite easy to find. Filing up each vial he pulled out a sharp blade and sliced a bit of Salem's hair and put it into a evidence bag. He didn't glance at Salem during that time, he had a feeling that she was reading him. Once he finished he pulled the needle out with ease as he looked at Salem's face for the first time. He expected her to still be staring at Ophelia, but instead he was met with her unnatural eyes. Shivering a bit he put on a calm facade and gave her a devilish smoulder, "well your highness I we are done. Thank you for this. My employer will appreciate it greatly" He said as he returned the last vial back to his pocket. Giving her a bow he turned around and made his way to the rooftop door.

Salem stared at him through the entirety and then spoke out. "You're a fool, boy. You think you can walk my path and expect something different. You'll fail. The gods are not ones to trifle with."

Ren stopped and looked over his shoulder at the twisted woman. His eyes no longer the usual calm were wild and menacing as he hissed at the woman. "Don't fucking tell me the odds. I'm not you, witch." Turning his back to her he made his way into Beacon's tower.

OOC: Bet. Now you have 2 things to reply to Hunt
Jade sunk to the ground across from her de facto partner. "She was only alone as long as you don't count the six or seven dust clones of her that were walking with her in mirror step. There was also someone else watching her, but I have no idea who it could have been. Too old to be a student from one of the schools though." She let out a puff of air and looked at the maps of the area. One was filled with overlapping circles and X's through them, marking places that they'd both stayed and searched for Ophelia. There were also two star marks in different colors signaling where the Army had camped out and the other was where some of the professors and other Huntsman had made camp like Ruby and Yang, Titan's family.

"As for a plan..." she grinned. "You know better than to ask that. I almost never have one. If I did we could have searched the country more methodically." She grabbed a marker and looked at the map and drew a circle, denoting where she had seen Ophelia as the center point. "I figure she's probably still in this area assuming she didn't hop on the back of a Grimm and take off. Either you and I can go after her, see if we can knock her out and bring her back since I don't think she'll go with us without a fight. Or we can bring this information to your mom, aunt, and a couple of the teachers and see what they want to do about it. "

Titan began packing a small bag as Jade sat down, throwing in a coil of rope, ammo, what looked like IEDs, two packs of rations, and a small IPod. After that he tore off a few crude maps off the wall, carefully looking over which ones they would need after Jade circled Ophelia's location. "I guess that's fair." Titan chuckled at Jade's honesty, but continued his search of needed supplies. After zipping up the backpack Titan stared at what was left of the map, the circle and stars taunting his decision. "Can't waste this chance and let her slip away." Titan nodded before heading up the few steps to the roof access. "We take her, one two easy, and then we'll take her to my mom and aunt." Titan threw out two quick jabs with his words before doing a small set of stretches.

"I'll take the streets and do my best to catch up. When you find her give me a signal and I'll be there in no time." Titan straightened himself from touching his toes, doing a few more calisthenics before running to the open roof. After looking over the side of his preferred travel for Grimm Titan jumped down, rolling forward and shooting off into a sprint. Due to the amount of Grimm in the city Titan couldn't travel the roofs, most of which he'd need his shots to bound over. Instead he'd use the long strides and powerful legs to push himself through the concrete gymnasium. The map gave him direction, but he attempted to follow the flashes of gold from the tail and hair of his companion.

Jade tried to avoid the rooftops so that Titan could follow along. Despite the fact they'd been working on his balance, he still didn't feel confident enough to stay up there with her. It took longer for them to reach where she had last seen Ophelia. From there, she tried to piece together where she had gone. It took another twenty minutes for them to find out where she had gone. Jade stopped, seeing the tower and in the distance the large black eggs on the far side. She watched as a figure rode some sort of platform up to the top of the tower.

She tried to get as much information about the area before the noise of Titan's motorcycle began to echo.Knowing that close range messages still worked, she pulled out her scroll and send a message to Ophelia's number. "Ready to come home?" She had no idea if Ophelia even had her scroll on her, but the noise of Titan's cycle was bound to draw attention. Jade wasn't hiding, but she had her finger on her play button just in case. She'd prefer not to have to fight Ophelia, but Jade hadn't come this far to just leave without a serious attempt.

Ophelia FallA strange sound interrupted Ophelia's mental crisis, a sound no sane person would make here of all places. Looking up her head turned towards the direction of where the sound was coming from. Her dust clones shifted their weight as she took hold of them. Her semblance expanding over the dust surrounding her she steadied herself, feeling the shift and changes in the dust around her. In any other place Ophelia couldn't do this, but as dust was floating in the air, she could sense anyone or anything moving within the dust.

Her fingers twitched as the dust clones encircled her. Moving slowly she took her expanded sense and raised her left hand and dust glowed around forming what she could sense. The figures lacked detail however Ophelia could make out the shape of a motorcycle rider and someone with a tail? Unsure of who they are she knew they shouldn't be here. Looking over to the yellow dust clone moved beside the white one preparing for the attack.

Realizing that Salem was still watching her Ophelia began to walk slowly further down the road as the intruders came closer. The quintet walked steadily, white leading with purple and yellow besides protecting Ophelia and a green dust clone. Praying to herself, she chanted, Don't mess up, don't mess up, don't mess up. Using her semblance she tracked the two and looked over to see the figure who was surprisingly not hiding. Pausing for a moment her semblance faltered. "Jade?" If she's here then... Fear and worry rushed through her and she quickly moved into a combat stance. Reaching out to the air she pulled her hand closed and to her chest. Seven medium size red crystals pulled from the glittering air and twirled around her body. "You and anyone else should leave, Jade. It's not safe here."

Ren Torchwick, ??? and introducing Ovile"You sure told her." A deep male voice said as Ren stepped into the darkened halls. The source of the voice was hard to see but it was familiar to the man.

Stopping for a moment his eyes soon narrowed as he almost hissed. "Quiet brat." Ren said obviously annoyed.

"My my I haven't seen you this annoyed in a while. Did the big bad monstress get under your skin, facing the real you under that facade of being a popstar? Watering those delicious seeds of doubt? Questioning how likely you'll get what you want. Especially after spending so much time distorting everything and everyone just to get close." The voice grew more excited with every word.

"What are you and your toy even doing here?" Ren said his glowing eyes shining in the darkened halls.

"Cinder was going to throw away her used toy. So I decided to make her mine instead. And Ovile is gathering data for daddy." The deep voice said a hollow laugh resonating from it.

Walking through the halls he stopped as he looked down the rubbled hall of the tower. Raising a brow he turned his head and stepped into the light. "Don't use that thing. It sounds so weird coming from him." Patting his pocket he looked over to the duo as they stepped into the light. A tall muscular man stood in a all black suit holding a small girl, no older than seven, with silver hair and eyes who held a onyx bear in one hand and a microphone in the other.

"Come now, this is far more fun." The girl said as she let go of the microphone. The cord slid across the man's unusually broad shoulders and sucked back into the man's back.

"Do you have a ride?" Ren said, looking at her uninterested.

"I have a new pet. But I have to call her. Do you know when will get that new transport?" The child said as she pulled out her scroll and took a picture. Typing out something to someone.

"I heard it was coming soon mistress. I think it's missing a biological component." Ovile said in the same deep male voice that was used earlier.

"Hmm, how annoying. There sent." The girl said reaching a hand out for Ren the duo walked over until she was touching his cheek. "I'll give you a lift. A favor from the future queen."

Before Ren could say anything in retort, a strong hand grabbed his leg and they were transported out of the hallway.

"Of course it's not safe, O. Salem saw to that. But if we wanted to be safe we'd never have enrolled at Beacon right?" Jade took note of Ophelia's stance and sighed inwardly.

If this is gonna end without a fight I better say something good. I just need to wait until Titan gets here at least

"I'm guessing you don't have your scroll anymore since you didn't get my message but that's ok. We've come to take you home. After all, you're one of the reasons I stayed in Vale instead of going off with the others. I was told to pass on a couple messages if I found you. We miss you Philly, come back soon. And Nix just said Hey, he said there was more to it but you'd understand? I dunno he was always pretty secretive when it came to you" she said, including a flawless imitation of Cherry and Phoenix.

Jade slipped her hand in her pocket and hit play. She didn't want to be caught unawares. The music queued up,barely audiblefrom the distance they stood and her body began to vibrate with speed. She was sure those stars were dangerous, but a person can only hit what they can see.

"So let's go. We can help you. And whoever it is you've been trying to protect since I heard you at the factory. Unless you've actually joined Salem by choice. Then I'm afraid we don't have one. The four of us will have to bring you in, as a prisoner."

Jade telescoped Buide out, tapping the end to turn it into a spear. She braced her legs, ready to sprint in at her quarry if she made an aggressive move. Hurry up Titan...

Ophelia FallAs Jade spoke Ophelia's stance began to falter, her fist loosened and she stood back up. The fear on her face seemed to fade to one of regret as she looked at Jade. She didn't know what to say let alone what to do. She couldn't understand why Jade was even here, she betrayed them, they should hate her now. But no, she's here for me? The forms of the dust clones shimmered and began to melt slowly as she continued to listen.

"Wait...you guys don't hate me?" Hearing what Summer and Nix had to say about her sent her over the edge. Tears welled up in her eyes and rolled down her cheeks as she stood there crying. Covering her face in her hands her shoulders shook as she continued to cry. Her own strength giving out as she collapsed onto the floor, the dust clones dispersing back into the small grains floating around. The crystals falling around her in a soft clatter as she didn't have the strength to do anything else, but cry. "I'm so sorry...I tried so hard, but I couldn't do it I couldn't do anything to save either of them."

Meanwhile atop the tower Salem's rage boiled to a intense degree as she witnessed no fight from the tall tower she looked out. It was hard to make out what was going on, all she could see were the small figures of two people. However, that was two too many. Her jealous rage boiled up into a strange aura resonating from the tower. Beneath Ophelia and Jade the ground would begin to slowly quake.

JadeJade moved to put her hand on Ophelia's shoulder. "Hate you? Nah. I always felt you did what you did to try and save whoever you've been trying to protect. And I'll defend you on that." She gave a sad smile hearing that Ophelia couldn't protect whoever she was trying to. "Hey you know. Sometimes you can give it everything and still fail. That's life. It's always better to try and fail than to not try. Stupid as that sounds"

The ground started to shake. "And as much as i would like to continue this heartfelt reunion" she said, lifting Ophelia to her feet "I'm pretty sure that's our cue to go."
