It was a lot of fun, a friend of my brother's was working a mini donut stall so we got free donuts


I got a new hat, the rodeo itself was boring as hell but it was kind of cool to see (I've never actually watched one live).


They also had a carnival set up around the place, didn't ride anything since I have a bad habit of getting nauseous and this was after the donuts but we played some games and I won an little blue octopus!


All in all, I was far better behaved than I had planned and ended up having a pretty good time still!

True, although can Ambrose live up to that? x3

It's a yearly thing, I go to the carnival part every year but yeah it was kind of cool. Even managed to avoid the curse this year, no rain the opening day we went and nothing but since.

Do you guys think it will be worthwhile, enjoyable, and smooth to roleplay the time after class? Would you like me to get some NPC posts going to help move it along? Or should a timeskip be in order to make the large block of time less awkward?

A timeskip would probably be for the best, seems like the best way to get people to respond is to keep throwing them into unique situations. It's been a while since we've actually entered combat as well. The next days after that are devoted to RP/mini-plots so any time we would have lost by timeskipping right now can be made up for during those two days.

Alright, I agree with the timeskip. Just feel like getting stuff a little further continued for them so that it's not just a lingering question of why they haven't interacted again despite all things pointing toward them deciding to interact again.

Noncombat classes are in full swing. I tried to make it clear that we've skipped roleplaying breakfast this time and gone straight to classes (although you'll have a little bit of time to mingle before the fighting gets underway, especially if your character is in Grimm Physiology).


I'd also like to bring to y'all's attention the fact that I'm trying to write a guide on making better RWBY RPs, since I've been involved in several and GMed two. My experience alone is not enough to write a good article, however, so I made this thread to gather information about what people like and dislike in RWBY RPs. I'd really appreciate if you'd stop by and give me your feedback.

She's marked both Aura Development and Dueling for her combat class as she didn't care about the one-combat one noncombat limit. Either's fine, although perhaps some kinda issue where she's placed in both classes as a result for the effect of her going wherever she pleases and getting in trouble constantly for skipping out on the class she didn't go to?

I think I get what you mean? She can go or not go to either one, and even if she doesn't go and gets in trouble, it'll make for good characterization...

Yep, she basically does what she wants to without regard for others. Fits her character in which she doesn't care about anything but herself, lets her get in trouble to allow for me to represent her character a bit more due to the slightly reduced social interactions from her personality, and she gets to get around and meet more characters than she normally would thus making up slightly for her antisocial aura.
