I work as a cnc machinist, and they moved something called a hobber (which cuts the teeth into a gear) over to my machines and want me to learn it because the parts I make get hobbed anyways and might as well just do it right there.

I also think it would be good if you could come to a close with your battle. Maybe you could detonate some rocks to block the Grimm's path or crush them or something? I would suggest that all of you write another post and then get your relics and move back to Beacon

Hm, well, if you go for that, I think you should really overdo it! How about them swinging away from an explosion that Cronan causes, which in turn produces a rockslide? Like one of those movie scenes were the protagonist walks away from a gigantic fireball, just that you additionally leave behind a crumbling cliff?

Hey everyone,
so a couple of words since (hopefully) our chars will be finished with initiation soon
For my own team: Is everyone okay with OSEI (Odyssey, long travel across the sea) as team name?
For the other team: I suggest CRMS (Crimson), which would put Cronan into the leader slot (explanation below).
For both teams: I think it would be very nice to have some team development, i.e. not some Mary Sue teams that work perfectly together from the beginning, but rather have to grow together sort of.
I will write Oceanos as a quite insecure team leader at the beginning (at least that is the plan; I have had plenty of experience with my chars ending up different from what I had intended :*D) who has to get used to the fact that he is in charge.
For CRMS, I imagine that it might work quite well if the problems in your team arise from the fact that both Raine and Spinel (and possibly Matte? I cannot say yet from the single post) are somewhat headstrong, if I may say so, while Cronan seemed to be more…balanced? I don’t want to say introverted; I did not get that impression. Maybe you could make something up along the lines of: RMS are pulling in three different directions and C has to get them to actually listen to him?
Please note that these are only suggestions! I don’t want to dictate how you write your team dynamics, I just think that would be a possibility I am of course also happy about ideas for team OSEI! Also, keep in mind that at some point the teams should start to get along at the latest for Vytal; please don’t make the chars hate each other from the depths of their hearts :’D
Regarding the story progression: I would like to ask for everyone’s opinions/wishes for that! The next time after initiation would of course be just normal everyday life at Beacon, i.e. classes and the time in between. How much interest do you have in the classes themselves? I had planned to put some focus on the combat classes (this is a RWBY RP after all
), but not that much on the other lessons. My idea was to have a more open posting system for this time, where everyone can choose more freely when to switch places, e.g. Raine is hitting Spinel with a chessboard during history class, then Herc decides that she gets bored and has Raine head over to the cafeteria to start pouring chili sauce into Cronan’s eyes. Yes, this was meant 100 % serious

Hm, at the team formation, Ozpin will name every char, then Cronan will at least know who Sumi is. Maybe he can approach her directly afterwards? Or in any of the following classes; I'll leave it up to you, Aleph.
